What Bapi can we use for Vendor Master Creation?
I saw the BAPI_VENDOR_CREATE (for online) but there are no parameters given.

I would like to suggest my opinion,
1. Go To Transaction BAPI.
2. In the Alphabetical (Window).
3. Vendor.
4. Click the Node, Go To Create.
5. Click the Create Node.
6. Vendor and return will be seen.
7. Check the dictionary references for both Vendor Node and Return node.
8. Fields of the structures will be observed.

You can use Supplier Evaluation in SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) to evaluate your suppliers by means of Web-based surveys. You can tailor individual surveys and questionnaires, and select the criteria to evaluate. You can then transfer the data that you gather from the questionnaires and surveys to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP BI). Prerequisites
You need to compile questionnaires using the WebSurvey Cockpit. Features
There are two different methods to collect data to evaluate supplier performance:
Event-driven evaluation. For example, when saving an invoice, a questionnaire is presented to the user
Ad-hoc evaluation through surveys managed with the Supplier Survey Cockpit
Event-Driven Evaluation
SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) supports event-driven questionnaires for two specific occasions:
Saving of a confirmation
Saving of an invoice

The event-driven evaluation and the ad-hoc evaluation use separate InfoProviders in SAP NetWeaver BI. The InfoProvider that is used for event-driven evaluation is also used for evaluation triggered from out of the Advanced Supplier List.

These events trigger a questionnaire, which pops up on the screen or enable a button to open the questionnaire. To carry out event-driven evaluation, you first have to specify in Customizing when and under which circumstances you want the evaluation to take place. For example, you can define that the evaluation is to occur for certain product categories, or suppliers, or purchasing organizations. You can also define the frequency (for example, every invoice/confirmation, or every second invoice/confirmation, and so on). Process

Ad-Hoc Evaluation: Supplier Survey Cockpit
The Supplier Survey Cockpit is an application with which you can manage surveys to gain information about your suppliers. After completion of a survey, the survey data is transferred to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) for reporting. Analyzing the survey outcomes in SAP NetWeaver BI helps you to always be up on your suppliers' performance regarding, for example, reliability, quality, and service.
The Supplier Survey Cockpit enables you to gather information independently of a certain purchasing event. With the Supplier Survey Cockpit, you can do the following:
Set up a survey
Assign a questionnaire to the survey
Distribute the questionnaire via e-mail and
Monitor the responses
Features
To access the Supplier Survey Cockpit, choose Supplier Evaluation and then Survey Management under Detailed Navigation.
By default, you find three queries: A survey query, a survey package query, and a survey monitor query. Depending on the query you choose, the table below the queries displays different information.
To manage surveys, choose the survey query. Click on Create to create a new survey. Select a survey from the table and click on Display, Edit, or Delete to display, change, or delete a survey.
To manage survey packages, choose the survey package query and click on the corresponding buttons.
To download the table contents in MS Excel format, click on Export.

Authorization for vendor's creation
Hi there,
I have a problem with vendors creation authorization (SAP R/3 4.6B)
For a matter of security, we need to separate the task of creating a vendor in two parts. The user who can create the vendor general datas is not authorized to create the bank details. And vice versa of course.
So I created two Group Fields for Vendor Master Records.
10 non banking datas
20 banking datas
In group 10 I have put the data LFBK-BANKL Banking key (not sure of the English term) and in group 20 I have put LFA1-NAME2 Name 2.
I gave authorization to non banking datas to user 1 (F_LFA1_AEN / VGRUP = 10) and authorization to banking datas to user 2 (F_LFA1_AEN / VGRUP = 20).
And it does nothing special
Both users can create banking and non banking datas and save the vendor.
Did I do wrong somewhere or is there a problem with vendors creation authorization ?

The solution I wanted to implement doesnt work for vendors creation but only for vendors modification.
So I used Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Records > Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors). I suppress payment transaction data for Vendor creation (XK01 and FK01). So people who creates vendors cannot create payment transactions data. In fact, nobody can
To create payment transaction data you must modify the vendor (XK02 and FK02) and be authorized. To do so, I can use the solution explained in my first post : Preparations for Changing Vendor Master Records > Define Field Groups for Vendor Master Records and Group Fields for Vendor Master Records. -
User role for vendor block/unblock
Hi Guys,
We want to give a role to only one user so that he can only block or unblock any vendor.
Is it possible to create a role and assign it to only one user .
He should be able to block/uOuch.
Its not a simple process. I will give you the basics, you will need to read some and do some to get a clear hang of it.
The role creation transaction is PFCG.
If you want to create a role, say for FK05.
Enter a name and description of the role, say Z:LOCK_UNLOCK_VENDORS, Desc: role for locking and unlocking vendors.
Click on the create single role button.
Save the role. Go into the Menu tab. Click on the button which says Transaction and a plus sign. In the popup that comes up enter the T-code FK05 and the others that are relevant. Click on Assign transaction.
Now move to the Authorisation tab.and click on the button change Authorisation data, you may need to save the role.
Enter the organisational values, company code in this case, click on save.
Now you will be in the authorisation page, where you decide what activity and area you need to assign.
If you expand the Cross-application Authorization Objects, you will see the t-codes which you entered in the menu here. You can add more t-codes here if you need.
In the next node for financial accounting. Expand the node to see the authorisation objects. from the menu, click on utilities and Technical names on, to see the technical names of the objects.
If you see the activities, the acivity "lock" will get automatically assiged. If you click the pencil in front of the activity, you will see a pop-up where you can select additional activities.
Once you are done, save and generate the authorisation. This will also generate a profile.
In the main PFCG screen, you can assign the user you want to carry out this role. Remember to carry out complete user compare so the role becomes activated in the user master.
You are now done.
If the user gets an authorisation error. He can execute the transaction SU53 and the system will display what authorisation is missing. You can then add this to the role or create a new one.

Remote Function Module for Vendor Master creation
Dear Forum Members,
There is a BAP function module BAPI_VENDOR_CREATE which calls SAP transaction XK01. Due to this, this Remote Function Module (RFM) cannot be called from a Java Application that uses SAP Java Connector.
Is there any other remote function module available in SAP for creating vendor master record so that it can be called from non-SAP development tools such as Java using SAP Java Connector or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET tools using SAP .NET Connector?

you can use FM 'VENDOR_INSERT' , However its not remote enabled you need to copy to Custom BAPI and make it as remote enabled.
Apart from the Vendor creation BAPI, you may need to use some other BAPI's for Adress updation and Bank details Updation.

User Exit for Vendor Master creation

We need to stop to create vendor using MK01 if there is no general data exist for it. I don't see any standard way for it.

ManojHi Manoj, that's a very simple question. Before you save data, that record will not even exist in LFA1 table. so, you just need to check that table for the record. In case it doesn't exit, just give an error message.

if you want to use authorization, just include a mandatory field in a field group, like name1 (vendor name, you can create a vendor without a name) and that will only be open for maintenance for those who have the corresponding authorization value. Therefore, those who have authorization to create a vendor can create it using XK01/MK01/FK01, but those who can only maintain purchasing data cannot create a new vendor record. -

But there are 5 account groups for my business where the vendor customizations are done. So the screen flow is getting changed. So how can i handle this scenario . First identify what are the fields available and those not avaliable in the screens for each of the 5 account groups you use. After you identify them, in the BDC you can control whether the field should be updated or not based on the checks on account group

Partner roles in vendor master
Dear All,
we have raised a PO to vendor 400035, goods are supplied from vendor 400036 and invoice is received from vendor 400037. we have defined partner roles for vendor 400035(<b>account group COMP</b>).
VN-400035
GS-400036
IP-400037.
These partner roles are assigned to account group:
GS-0001- GOODS SUPPLIER
IP-0002-INVOICING PARTY
Defined partner schema H1 under partner settings in vendor master record.
this schema is assigned to account group COMP( That have vendor 4500035) at POrg, VSR, Plant Level.
Partner schema for purchasing document is defined.
it is assigned to document type.
<u><b>ISSUE</b></u>
1.When we are raising a PO the schema is appearing in partner Tab. The different invoicing party 400037 is pulled from vendor master record into PO. when doing <b>MIRO</b>, it is not appearing subsequently as the default value when invoice is posted. in MIRO it is appearing as 400035 instead of 400037.
2.same is the case in MIGO, in partner TAB 400035 is appearing instead of 400036.
please help on both issues where invoicing party should appear autimatically in MIRO and goods supplier in MIGO.

There are just 4 mandatory steps:
1: Define partner role
2: Define permisssable partner roles per account group
3: Define Partner Schemas
4: Assign Partner Schemas to Account Groups
You have setup your partner determination on purchasing org level.
But you forgot that you create a purchase order on plant level, which is a lower (more detailed) level. If the higher level box is left blank in your partner determination setup, then SAP tries to find partner on plant level. As you don't have partner on plant level maintained in your vendor, SAP can't find the vendor.
IMG > Materials Management > Purchasing > Partner determination > Partner Settings in Purchasing Documents > Define Partner Schemas
select your partner schema and then double click Partner roles in schema on the left.
In the appearing screen you can see the colomn for higher level
Then create a fresh PO and check.

Vendor Creation ,Partner role OA not allowed for Vendor of a/c group ZLOV
Dear Freinds,
I am facing problem of Vendor creation , i am getting message PARTNER ROLE OA NOT ALLOWED FOR VENDOR OF ACCOUNT GROUP ZLOV.
While creation of Vendor in Partner function i could not enter partner number, system is not accepting any data, message is getting as above.due to which i could not create any vendor.
Presently I am in process/ setting of ERS functionality in MM,
now all my Vendor creation is stuck up ,
please help me how to solve the problem

Check first have you Define Permissible Partner Roles per Account Group..
Check the path:
SPRO-Materials Management-Purchasing-Partner Determination-Define Permissible Partner Roles per Account Group
Here check whether OA is assigned with ZLOV or not...If no then click on new entries and enter partner function as OA and Vendor account group ZLOV...Save nd come out...
Now proceed...Hope it helps..
