Roles in E-rec...?

Hi All,
We are using mySAP ECC 6.0, Portal 7.0 Sp12, mySAP ERP 2005 BP 1.0,
ESS Webdynpro 600, E-rec 600.
There are many roles in e-rec. They are :
SAP_RCF_RQUISITION_REQUESTER  - Requester
SAP_RCF_RECRUITER  - Recruiter
SAP_RCF_MANAGER - Manager
SAP_RCF_MANAGER_ASSITANT  - Manager's Assistant
SAP_RCF_BUSSINESS_ADMINISTRATOR - Administrator
Can anybody tell me what is differences in all these roles. What is actual process involved when creating RR - I mean who will create RR and to whom the notification will go ?
Please shade some light regarding the same.

For the background job user wf-batch a candidate must be created.
For the role of recruiter, I would suggest to run the report RCF_CREATE_USER it will automatically gives all the roles.

    Now you have created your own roles, you need to create URL iviews calling the E-Recruiting applications in your portal then it should work.

  • Qualifications not shown in all e-rec application / role

    Hi,
    we have created qualifications and they are shown/ accessible in some e-rec application roles, but not all.
    So, I don't think the problem is to activate any feature.
    The roles where qualifications are not shown are: Employee (Internal) and Internal Recruiter.
    Does anyone have experience with the same type of issue, or have any documentation available?

    The button "New entry" is also missing from Qualifications, but not from "work experience", "edication" etc. Can this be a web service issue, if so, does anyone know what transaction and settings must be made?

  • E-Recruiting : Role Authorization in e-recruiting standalone scenario

    Hello Friends,
    We have EREC on a standalone system (ERD 100). HR ECC is another system (ECD 300), Enterprise portal in another system (EPD 100).
    we are on EHP 5, EREC 605, Support Pack 7.
    We have activated the single sign on mechanism.
    I have following queries regarding role authorizations on EREC in  standalone model.
    1) We have standard reference users  such as recruiter, manager, decision-maker, data entry clerk, rec.admic etc;  the" RCF_RECRUIT, RCF_MANAGER, RCF_CAND_INT, RCF_DATA_TYP" etc, Should this reference users be created both in EREC & HR system or only in EREC system ?
    2) If the "RCF_XXXX" reference users roles are supposed to be created only in EREC system, how to assign reference user roles to employees whose master data is in HR System. ?
    3) Can support teams concept help for mass authorizations? Can someone elaborate on the support team, support group concepts ?

    Just  expanding my query on the 2nd point regarding assigning Reference users like manager, recruiter to certain employees :
    Example: Say I have Emp. No 20003000. He is an hiring manager, In HR System,  IT105, subtype user id is "20003000".
    To assign RCF_MANAGER reference user role to user id 20003000, should i have to recreate the userid in EREC system as well and assign it in SU01 for this user id.
    Would like to take your comments.

  • Internal server error in Requistion create - E-rec 600

    Hi All,
    We are in process of upgrading the 4.6c to ECC 6.0. E-rec 600 installed in the same box (server).
    We wish to use the Requistion management services for creating the RR via the BSP's through WAS.
    I assigned assigned manager role (SAP_RCF_MANAGER) to user1 and assigned Recruiter role (SAP_RCF_RECRUITER) to user2
    When I run the requisition maintaince application REQ_MNT_LST from user1 and assigned the requistion to the recruiter (user2) every thing goes well.
    In the step 9 (creating job postings) the system fails to go ahead and throws exception - Internal server error.
    We have already activated this bsp service in tcode sicf and roles are assigned properly.
    Is there any additional settings we need to do in spro for Job postings or any more settings in sicf ?
    Please help !!! Any help in this regards would be highly appreciated. points assured. Thanks for any inputs in adavance

    I would fear that the Internal Server Error is an indication of a more serious error.  Have you checked if this is generating a Short Dump (Transaction ST22)?  You need to determine the actual root cause of the error, as the Internal Server Error is rather generic.  You should also consider opening a support ticket on this error as this sounds more like a support issue.

  • Role based data visibility is not working in Round manager

    I am looking for role based data visibility in Syclo round manager application where technician will see the data which is assigned to his name only (not all the data)  I have created one custom role in SAP system and it's working fine .It's showing the below message :
    Now I want to implement the same in syclo round manager .So I went to the SAP configuration panel and set the same user role on the security setting in class handler .Z_SYCLO_RM_ROLE is the custom role which I mentioned earlier .I tried with different option in this tab but it's not working .
    Please let me know if I missed something to mention or is there any other process I need to follow .

  • E-REC EHP5 - Prerequisites for MSS user for Create Requisition request

    We are implementing E-REC EHP5.  As a MSS user when line manager tries to create requisition request on portal, although it takes on a new page called "Stat Processes" we are getting error "no data available" and hence can not proceed on that page. We have assigned R3 role "SAP_RCF_REQUISITION_REQUESTER" to the line manager and on portal we have assigned him MSS user role. 
    Is there any other prerequisite for the said functionality of Create Requisition request.

    In the IMG, navigate to :
    Personnel Management -> HR Administrative Services -> Configuration of Forms/Processes -> Process Configuration
    -> IMG activity "Test Process"
    Enter the process name "HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION" and execute (F8). You should see the form scenario data in table view. Use the F4 help in the "Field Value" column for those entries where the "Value Help" column is checked. You should get a pop-up with the field values. If not you need to make sure that HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION iis linked to form scenario S_HRMSSRCF_REQUISITION in table T5ASRPRSCFORM. Also make sure that you have the last SP for the ERP common parts BP 1.51 installed in your portal. Finally assign role SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 and SAP_RCF_MANAGER to your recruiter.

  • Client Roles in a Three System Landscape

    We have a three system landscape. In the Development client, we have the Customizing Client, the Sandbox Cliet and a Training client. I have some questions about this configuration:
    Acording to System and Client Settings - System Administration Assistant (BC-RRR) - SAP Library, Training client must be in Quality Assurance System, and it must be created by client copy from client QTST (it gets the transports from Custimizing). In this Training System we must create users for all our key-users to training. We must not create any user for key-users in sandbox client (this client is for the DEV team). is that ok?
    What are the downsides of having out TRAINING client in the Development System?
    Now, a consultant is asking me to open some modifications in the TRAINING client: He needs to load Exchange rates (OB08) in that client, but he is getting "Client is not modifiable". They are asking me to create users for key-users in the sandbox client and the training client.
    I need to know if they are using the system in the right way. I dont want the system to become a mess.
    I been reading this notes: SAP Note 356483. I don´t know what this means: "Now the corresponding Customizing object is no longer subject to the transport connection and is excluded from the changeability check. The change is active in all clients of the system. You can also change the Customizing object in a locked client (independent of the client role). However, now it is also no longer possible to manually transport entries of the view or table."

    The drawback of having training client in dev system is that it could be negatively impacted by ongoing changes performed in that system (custom program that are changed, not working...)
    Some specific customizing changes can be set as current setting and thus can be modified without needing to open customizing but only if the client is set as productive.
    There is also a way do deactivate modification recording of objects (aka deactivating the transport connection) but, if you apply this change for this activity/object, you won't be able any more to record change into transport orders

    I do not really now the exact impact, it might prevent some business data from being mass processed or overwritten...
    I did had to deactivate the transport connection on specific objects/activities for some customers.
    It depends on the frequency of that activity. I don't like to open the client to modification as you can sometime forget to close it back, and sometime also it gave the opportunity to other consultants to make changes that would create inconsistency among envt in the whole landscape.
    At least activating the recording of changes could help in tracking the source of modifications

    I am started to E rec and need clarity on below points, pls assist with your quality inputs.
    - Where is e rec object data stores (Candidate/Applicant/Postingetc) Is it 5* IN viewable through PB20..
    - If object data is stored in IN 5* then what is the role of Business Partner?
    - The placement & fields of application can be custmised but our client is looking for total change so would this call for IN enhancement also along with UI enhanc.   (Actually client wants to view candidate data filled and visible in a prescribed format)
    -Can the job posting fields and details publish be customized. (Client wants more fields and specification visible in published job posting & customise the appearance as per channel.)

    E-recruiting Infotypes cannot be accessed through PB20. In order to access 5* ITs you have to access hrp5* tables.

    Not all data is stored in Infotype 5*. For E.g. Whenever a new candidate registers Object type NA is created. NA is linked through relationship A/B 650 to CP and CP to BP through relationship B207. Candidates's name, date of birth, address etc. (personal and address data) is stored in object type BP.
    Also if an you are creating an agency, the details are stored in BP.

    Refer to the link given above. All the standard fields in the Infotypes is  given. If your customer requirement is above these standard fields then Infotype enhancement would be required.

    Ans:
    Yes it can be. Job Posting field's data is stored in posting infotype. But labeling of the field is OTR text. For example if you want to change the labeling Company you will have to go to transaction sotr_edit and search for PAOC_RCF_UI/company and enhance it.
    But this will not get reflected in the publication. Publication are adobe forms (in SP5 and above(if i am not wrong)). If you want to use your own publication then develop the adobe form and assign it to the interface parameter FORM_PUBL_INT_DOVR or FORM_PUBL_EXT_DOVR (technical settings>User Interfaces>Administrator and Recruiter>General Settings>Assign Values to Interface Parameters)

    Requirement - Do we have an option to restrict the queries in recruiter 'active queries list' (work center) based on roles.
    for example: Restricted recriter should not be allowed to view Back ground checks query. and Talent Groups query.
    Version - E-rec 604 support pack 5. Webdynpro Interface, seperate front end and back end - candidate Scenerios #3 as per Note 1017866.
    Request e-rec Pro's to post the solution, if they have faced this issue in there e-rec implementation exp.

    Hello,
    You can check out transaction POWL_QUERYR. Through this you can specify the roles to be assigned to the role. Through transaction POWL_QUERYU you can even specify the roles to be assigned for a specific user. You can copy the specific roles required and assign them to the roles. Any role which is not assigned to specific role will appear to all the roles that have authorization to the workcenter object.

  • E-rec Ehp4 , Cretae requistion page is not working

    Hi All
    After upgrading EHP4, most of the cases we are getting error "You are not authorized to execute this application".
    1)Recruiter > Requisition > Create /create by position/Candidate search > you are not authorized to execute this application occurs
    2)Recruiter > Personal settings > Internal error
    I am using the new ehp4 role but still it is not working .
    Please let me know how you resolved this issue.

    HCM_ERC_SES_1- E-rec search
    HCM_MSS_ERC_CI_1- MSS
    HCM_ASR_CI_1- Hr administrartive
    HCM_ASR_CI_2-Hr administrartive
    We have assigned the following roles to the recuriter -SAP_RCF_REC_ADMIN_ERC_CI_2 ,SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 , RCF_MANAGER .
    When we go to portal -1)Recruiter > Requisition > Create /create by position/Candidate search > it give error - you are not authorized to execute this application .
    I tried same from sicf -services(erc_a_req_mgmt) it give the same error.
    Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

  • E-Rec@ Job Postings are not reaching to Job Search !!!

    Dear All,
    We are facing an issue in Job Postings:
    1.Published  Job Posting (from 01.09.2011 to 27.09.2011) is not reaching to Job seasrch (under E-rec self services role >Employement Oppourtunites>Job Search.
    2. If we EXTEND the period of Job posting (from 27.09.2011 to 31.10.2011) shld show under internal job search (under E-rec self services -->Job search). But here extended Job posting also not reaching to the Job search.
    Can any one share the valuable opinion on this issue.

  • Succession Planning - Support team roles and functionalities

    I'm looking for clarification about the role you can assign to a member of a support team for a requisition (object NB)
    In Succession Planning (E-recruiting) when you create the succession plan (requisition Object NB) you have to define the support team; persons authorized to process the succession plan.
    When you assign a new member to the support team of a requisition you have to specify the role. In the standard there are two roles "Restricted Succession Planner" and "Succession Planner". The first role does not have the authorization to approve a requisition (object NB).
    How the role assigned in support team works?; is it related to rights and authorizations in processing a requisition?
    For example can I manage the following scenario: the same user has different roles for different requisitions; for example "restricted succession planner " for NB 00000001  and at the same time the role "succession planner" for object NB 00000002? does it mean that the user will not have the authorization to approve NB00000001 but he will have the authorization to approve NB00000002?

    Hi,
    the role assignment in the requisition maintenance (no matter if e-recruiting or the old succession planning part in e-rec available till 600 EhP3) is a purely logical or business view. It has nothing to do with the authorization of the user for this object.
    The posiblity if you can approve a requisition is defined by the authorization roles only, which have nothing to do with the support team roles. So no matter which support team role you have, if your authorization is wide enough you can do everything with the requisition.
    It would not make much sense to link the authorization to the support team. As you can define the support team when you are in the requisition maintenance you could always change your support team role to bypass these checks for approval.
    So unfortunately the your scenario is not possible (even some really ugly hacking with context authorization would probably not work because of the authorization buffes and in a business view due to the point mentioned above.).
    The support team roles are for documantation purposes who is supposed to do what in the requisition handling and can be used for some technical controling of functions like workflows or printing. So different support team roles are not completely useless.

    Can database roles be used with APEX to control table and other object access between schemas?
    If so, please provide an example.
    If not, please explain why the product would be limited in this way. One of the major short comings we see is the need to directly grant privileges to each schema, rather than having the power of roles to do this.

    Note that APEX_PUBLIC_USER must have read privilege for the dictionary tables.
    Now you can use the flag variable and create an HTML region to source the error message to display if the user has insufficient privileges.

  • Issue on copying standard role

    We're implementing E-rec system and we have two users name as user1 & user2, standard role was assigned to both the users
    User1 - SAP_RCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE
    User2 - SAP_RCT_UNREGISTERED_CANDIDATE
    webdynpro application was working fine with the above roles.
    Once we made a copy of the standard role z-role, we assigned the z-role to those users and removed the standard role. After assigning the z-roles for the above user, the webdynpro application was not funtioning properly. Only I can see the initial screen, the next screen is not responding.
    Could anyone suggestion me on this.

    Hi,
    the most common reason for this error is a missing change in the customer version of role SAP_RCF_UNREGISTERED_CANDIDATE. The sap standard role contains the name of role SAP_RCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE in the authorization object S_USER_AGR field ACT_GROUP. People often forget to change this to the name of the client role.
    In spite of the e-rec mechanism that the service user assigns the authorization to the external candidates user by assigning a reference user, it still needs the authorization to assign the roles and profiles the reference user has as if it would assign the them directly. If you do not put the name of the customer copy of role SAP_RCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE  into your copy of SAP_RCF_UNREGISTERED_CANDIDATE the user creation can't be done properly and the appiication runs into an error when it tries to switch the session to the user.
