Roles missing in available role list at import role option

We have sap boxi 3.1 and sap integration kit both with SP2.
we configure sap authentication in the CMC.
The entitlement system is configured with  a user that has no restriction in sap (SAP ALL user).
We have approximately 1400 roles in our BW client
In the available roles list at the import role tab we can see only 220-230 roles.
The list is randomly.
When we configure another bw client as a different entitlement system,
we receive approximately 280 roles out of 1380.
It looks like we are missing some buffer size configuration.
Any ideas ??
thanks.

Hi Ingo,
Thanks a lot.
Yes, the user in the CMC has SAP ALL credential, and is allowed to see all BW roles.
The missing roles are indeed those that are not assigned to any user.

  • Why are the 3 tracks I bought on iTunes a yr ago are missing from the track list just imported from a CD of the whole album ?

    1st time question on here...I bought 3 songs off iTunes from the album Feedback by Jurassic 5 last year and those songs are in my librabry. Sometime later I purchased the whole album but on CD. Tonight when I imported the CD and it asked to replace existing duplicates and I said yes. Now I have two identical albums of Feedback in my library. One album has the tracks I bought from ITunes the second has all the tracks but the ones I bought from itunes. When I select to play either albums only the tracks listed play not the whole orignal album. How do I correct this? I want one album listed with all the orignal tracks. Also i'd preffer to keep the apple lossless version i imported from the CD - not the ITunes version. Thanks folks

    I have a similar problem , where I had a cd I imported then bought a bonus track on iTunes not on the cd but belonging to the same album, but iTunes showing it to me as 2 separate albums.
    My iTunes on the computer now shows it as 1 album, but when I sync it to me device it is still 2 albums and the album with the 1 song asks me if I want to complete it.
    Sorry I have no solution yet, I just wanted to share that I too have a similar problem.

  • Importing roles from R3

    Hi all,
         I am trying to import roles from R3 system.
    I've gone through the document in service.sap.com - how to guides.
    Is it mandatory that v should have the S_RFC authorization for function group PWP2, in order to import the roles?
    I don't have that authorization in R3; still tried to import the role. The role gets created in the role folder but the transaction iviews are not created? When I open the role, instead of getting the transactions listed down, I get <b>'Linked object not available'</b>. Is it because of that authorization? Can someone help me out?
    Thanks & regards,

  • Default Every User Roles missing

    Hi,
       We installed the latest version on EP 6.0. After installation, when we looked into the available default roles in the portal, the dafault Every User Roles - " Role: Every User Core (eu_core_role)" and "Role: Control Center User (cc_user)" are missing in the list. Only the "Role: Standard User (eu_role)" is available. Could you please let us now what could be the problem?
    Thanks.
    Bhagya.

    hi,
       i could find eu_role and cc_user roles, no eu_core_role is found in my portal content folder. anyhow i assigned eu_role to the user, and when he logs in he could only see the home workset, "portal personalization " is not visible.
    i checked the hierarchy of the role in the role editor, but it shows "portal personlization" workset in the hierarchy
    could some one lemme know y is it like that..should i enable "portal personalization" workset by my own.

  • OWN_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_NOT_DEFINED error while Importing Role in CMC

    Hi all,
    I'm currently experiencing the following issue while importing SAP Roles in CMC. The error OWN_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_NOT_DEFINED appears and roles are not available every time I go to the Import Role tab within the Authentication section of CMC.
    As per Integration Kit installation and configuration guide I have created a crystal user (CRYSTALUSR) and the role with the recommended authorization objects was also created and assigned to the above user. Off course, this is the user provided in Entitlement System section.
    Could you please guide in what to check to find the root cause of this issue?

  • Integrate GRC 10.1 with CUA and how to import roles from CUA & Child systems into GRC for provisioning

    Hello,
    I am trying to integrate CUA into our GRC 10.1 system through the below steps and so far I have completed the below steps following SAP Notes 1680108 and 1616121:
    1. Connected CUABOX to GRCBOX like a plug-in system.
    2. Updated CUA Global System and CUA Model Distribution in Maintain CUA settings under User Provisioning.
    3. Next I am trying to import the roles from CUA(CUABOX) into GRC(GRCBOX) to be able to provision roles in CUA Child Systems(ECCBOX).
    After reading few discussions in SCN, I have figured that we have to download a template in Role Import and populate it accordingly to upload the CUA child system roles into GRC system for provisioning in CUA Child Systems.
    Unfortunately, this template has multiple fields and I am unable to determine the fields that should be populated as CUA Global System and CUA Child System to import into GRC. Also, when we upload CUA Child System Roles template what selections should be made in Role Import window.
    Any help in this regard is very helpful.
    Thank you,
    Pawan

    Hi Alessandro,
    I have "Create user if does not exist" setting checked for both change action and assign role action and also have CUA enabled. Here is the list of steps that I am performing:
    1. Create an access request for new account, T-CUA_CHILD and select a role from a child system ECC Z_ECC_ROLE_IN_CHILD_SYSTEM.
    2. Approvals provided to assign the ECC role.
    3. I see the following in GRFNMW_DBGMONITOR_WD.
               Auto provisioning activity at end of request at Path GRAC_DEFAULT_PATH and Stage              GRAC_SECURITY
                   New User:T-CUA_CHILD created in System(s): ECC (created without role assignments)
                   T-CUA_CHILD User does not exist in target system CUA
    GRC created an account without role assignment in ECC but also throwed me an error that the user does not exist in CUA.
    However, if I select roles from both CUA and ECC it creates the account in both systems with the selected role assignments.
    So I am wondering if there is way to provide CUA access to users by default for new account requests types. I have tried setting up default roles for CUA but it does not assign the roles by default until I select the CUA system.
    Thank you for your help!

  • Web/UME Services to fetch list of Portal Roles??

    Hi All,
    Are there any out of the box Web or UME services available which can fetch list of Portal Roles based on certain criteria.
    Basically I am looking for a service that will fetch list of all Portal Roles (PCD & UME) and will take couple of input parameters, a Role Name/ID & the permission property "Role Assigner"
    Thanks
    Sandip

    Thanks for your reply.
    But I guess these forums shows how to retrieve roles & its sub-ordinates for a particular user. Where as I am trying to retrieve all PCD roles for which I have "Role Assigner" permission.
    Basically I am building a delegated admin functionality on Portal using custom coding. It is the same as Portal out of box Del User Admin but I am not using it because of some other enhancements.
    I will have many user admins and the roles they can assign to users are determined by the "Role Assigner" permission. So its like, User_Admin_RoleA has access to 5 Portal Roles, User_Admin_RoleB has access to some other 5 roles and so on.
    So just wanted to know if there are standard Portal service (like we have for KM) available to do this.
    Thanks
    Sandip

  • BHOLD Modelgenerator / Modelloader: missing application name in permission in the Role definition of the exportflie.

    I have 2 applications (SAP-T and SAP-R) stored in BHOLD Core with same permission: Administrator.
    I have 2 roles (Koos Test1 and Koos Test2) stored in BHOLD Core. "Koos Test1" role has been connected to
    permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-R and the "Koos Test2" role has been connected to permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-T.
    When I make an export with BHOLD Model Generator, these permissions have correctly been stored:
      <application name="SAP-T" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
        <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </application>   <application name="SAP-R" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
        <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </application>
    But the 2 roles are not correctly been stored in the export file:
      <role name="Koos Test1">
        <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </role>   <role name="Koos Test2">
        <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </role>
    The missing link is the definition of the application to which the permission belongs.
    This means that the role model is not correct when I import this generated export file into another BHOLD environment
    with Modelloader.

    Koos,
    I just went through this and I definitely see unexpected behavior but not quite like yours........When I do this, the roles are added fine and the applications are added fine. However, it only makes one 'Administrator' permission to me and links it to both
    roles. Not sure if this is related to using same name for permissions with different apps or what. My version of BHOLD I am testing this with is 5.0.2724.......this is the pertinent contents of my export file:
     <!-- START OF Create applications and permissions -->
      <application name="SAP-T" module="" parameter="SAP-T" protocol="DCOM">
        <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </application>
      <application name="SAP-R" module="" parameter="SAP-R" protocol="DCOM">
        <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </application>
      <!-- END OF   Create applications and permissions -->
     <role name="Koos Test 1">
        <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </role>
      <role name="Koos Test 2">
        <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
      </role>
      <!-- END OF   Roles definitions -->
    One thing..........I used 'Administrator' as both permission name and description. Perhaps if the descriptions are different but the names are the same, it would show the expected results.......I will have to test this later......

  • OIA Import roles NullPointerException

    Hi,
    I need to import roles into OIA and constantly face failed import attempts.
    The roles.rbx looks like:
    rolename<use=mandatory>,parentRoleName,roleDescription,policies,statusKey
    The import file (filename: roles12) looks like:
    "AD PROD","","Root Role for Windows","","1"
    "Domain Computers","AD PROD","All workstations and servers joined to the domain","Domain Computers","1"
    The installed OIA version is 11.1.1.5.1.
    I previously imported users, business structures and even policies without hassles. But why does it suddenly fail to import role information?
    The error message in rbacx.log is pretty much useless and doesn't help at all. You'll find it below.
    Does anybody of you know this behavior? (or even better: how to fix it?:-)
    Thanks in advance and regards

    15:54:45,316 INFO [DefaultRemoter] Exec: dwrSchedulerService.addSchedulerIAMJob()

    The error message mentions NullPointerException and something about NameIdMap. So far it didn't make any sense, because assigning users to roles during an import process was AFAIK not feasible.
    It turned out, that during the users import process there were some corrupt records, which caused two users to not have a username (in the table: username was NULL) and one user with a invalid username containing dash signs... So far the system never complained about it, when browsing thru the users or doing something else.
    SOLUTION: Deleting the users from table GLOBALUSERS and BU_GLOBALUSERS and afterwards importing the roles again.... Hooray! It works!
    Lessons learned:
    1) Make sure, absolutely sure, that import files do match the structure, e.g. number of columns even when column values are empty.
    2) Most importantly make plausibility checks whether the content of the columns appear correct.
    3) Check rbacx.log (tail -f rbacx.log) to see what the system does.
    3) Use a SQL Browser to analyze the content of the tables afterwards. The column structured view allows you to quickly find rows which do not match with the general visual impression. (e.g. username having a certain length but there are some which have much longer strings -> Suspicious!)
    4) Do not bang your head on the table... it's just not worth it ;-)

  • Import Roles from an External Database

    Is it possible to import Roles from an external database via an ActiveSynch import?

    Hi lozlow,
    We use a cvs for holding our roles.
    The main issue we have with this method is that we must check to ensure role approvers and ObjectGroups exist in IDM before we do the import. IDM does not check the validity of these references as part of the import.
    If we fail to check and the role approver or a ObjectGroup does not exist then the IDM will error when editing a user or listing roles.

  • Import Roles methodology @ ERM

    Hello all,
    We are facing some concerns regarding import roles methodology and would like to consult we you.
    The import roles methodology raised a concern since it is done partially by uploading data from an excel file (template by SAP).
    Our customer wants reassurance that this is a safe process and to know about other customers experience and results (how many problems they encounter? How fast is the process? What issues occur while uploading the roles to ERM? Related information etc.
    Could you advice?
    Thanks in advance
    Rothem

    Hello Rothem,
    1. Our customer wants reassurance that this is a safe process and to know about other customers experience and results (how many problems they encounter?
    The process is completely safe and even if you miss out on some of the role updates, you can still do specifically the ones you missed.
    2. How fast is the process?
    This is not generally a very time consuming tasks and provided your machine configuration is as per standards, this would not really be an area for concern at all. I mean, to my knowledge and experience I have not cme accross a situation where it took a lot of time and became a thing to worry about.
    3. What issues occur while uploading the roles to ERM? Related information etc.
    These I guess have already been mentioned by people in the above posts and are mostly of the similar nature, just as they are mentioning. Better to try first with a few of the Roles and then if it happens smoothly, you can upload the rest all in one go.

    The results vary by role type:
    1. SINGLE roles CAN be imported successfully to CUP from ERM with missing role descriptions.
    2. DERIVED roles CANNOT be import to CUP from ERM if the role description is missing.
    The solution is to update the DERIVED roles with role descriptions. It's always good practice to have role descriptions for all roles, but many customers have different views on the importance/usefulness of role descriptions.
    This didn't appear to be an issue before SP11, but oh well... Also, since the Role Description field in ERM is mandatory, the mass role import should not allow roles to be imported with missing role descriptions, but it does. I've mentioned that to SAP as well.
    I'm going to close this thread as solved, with workarounds.
