Roles missing in BI content

when I go to BI content, I can not find Roles in my BW system such as Banking Roles, Automotive Roles... what I only find is Other Roles with three subobject HR Executive, Liquidity Planning, Planning Application Reports in SEM. That's total different with other BW system. Can someone tell me what's wrong. Thanks!

Yes I think what Anil Kumar says is right.
Is it possible for anybody of us to try this solution. I have already installed all the business contents, so it may not be possible for me. Still I will try for the same.
If anybody else is trying , please let us know the results.

Hi,
Go to User Administration -> Identity Management.
Select the user and click the modify button.
Go to the assigned roles tab
search for the Content Manager
Add only pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager/ContentManager role and save.

Could not find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin Tab

Hello all,
I have installed 'Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 SP16 - Full Java Edition-Trial' from sdn.sap.com website. I am trying to learn EP development and started with EP100 (August 2002) document.
I couldn't find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin tab from where I can create channels and pages as described in the document. Am I following the wrong document or do I have to assign any additional roles to the user.
I have created a user with everyuser roles and super admin role. Do I have to add any other roles to this user to work with iViews and pages.
Please help me as I have struck at the very beginning.

Transfer Rules missing in Business Content (704 lvl 1) for CMS

Hi SDN,
We are currently on BI 7.0, and using Business Content 704 level 1. When collecting BIC InfoSources for Collateral Management Systems (CMS), we notice that the transfer rules are missing in business content.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I have been referencing notes 1171293, and 1179880

Yesterday my database shutdown abnormally.. after opening the connect,dba ansd some other roles missing . and users cannot able to connect .later I give the create session privilage to all users then they can able to connect How it happened? please help

users cannot able to connect Which users cannot connect. Do you mean all users excluding sys?
If you start your database in restricted mode then users with restricted session privilege can only connect. Is this your case?

Hi,
Did you maintain the partner function ZF and ZV and assigned to your Account group. If yes go to
SPRO-> Material Management->Purchasing->Partner Determination->Partner Settings in Vendor Master Record-> Define Partner Schemas
In this Screen, select your partner schema, you created earlier and click Partner Function in Procedure .System takes to next screen and now check Mandatory check box of your partner function ZF and ZV are ticked or not. If not, tick it and save.
Also check assignment of Partner Schema to Account group.
Now try to Create PO and hope you would not have problems.

Autoplay.exe is missing on the CONTENT disk.
This is ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4, It installed just fine but now when I put the CONTENT disk in nothing happens, I looked in its .INF file and it said Autoplay.exe was supposed to run, but as far as I can tell it isn't there. Help please, anyone.

What files are you getting the messages for?
Fonts can be copied to the Common Files\Adobe\Fonts folder and they will be available to all Adobe applications, to the Program Files\...\Adobe Indesign CS4\Fonts folder, and only ID will see them, or you can install them in the Windows Fonts folder using the regular Windows font installer (open the Fonts folder and choose File > Install new font... Don't try to copy them to this folder in the regualr way.), and they will be available to all programs you have installed.

Edit: I forgot which forum I was on. Each of the applications in the suite may have it's own fonts folder, but you'd be best off using the common fonts or windows fonts folder.

Default Every User Roles missing

Hi,
We installed the latest version on EP 6.0. After installation, when we looked into the available default roles in the portal, the dafault Every User Roles - " Role: Every User Core (eu_core_role)" and "Role: Control Center User (cc_user)" are missing in the list. Only the "Role: Standard User (eu_role)" is available. Could you please let us now what could be the problem?

i could find eu_role and cc_user roles, no eu_core_role is found in my portal content folder. anyhow i assigned eu_role to the user, and when he logs in he could only see the home workset, "portal personalization " is not visible.
i checked the hierarchy of the role in the role editor, but it shows "portal personlization" workset in the hierarchy
could some one lemme know y is it like that..should i enable "portal personalization" workset by my own.

BI Pattern Wizard Role Missing in 2004s!

Hi, In the Front-end design guidlines document for 2004s the BI Pattern Wizard Section mentions that the reuseable Web Items are available in role SAP_BW_PATTERN_OBJECTS. I can't find this role in the system and it doesn't show up in Business Content as available either. Googling shows that the Role is only mentioned in only one place and that's the document I'm referring to.
1. Is anyone using BI Patterns successfully in 2004s?
2. Anyone know how to access Role SAP_BW_PATTERN_OBJECTS?

Forgot to mention I am already on SP10 and have the wizard working fine. Just that when I go to specify a reuseable web item I do not see any of the standard items from SAP. According to the paper I need that Role!

Display of roles missing in BEx dialog box

Hi Experts!
I am facing an issue with BEx:
We just upgraded to Support Package 18 and afterwards all roles in the BEx dialog boxes are missing. Before upgrading everything was fine.
If we assign SAP_ALL to local users, they are able to see roles, but if we don't, they don't even see their assigned roles.
I searched the OSS and SDN but couldn't find an answer to that problem.
Any suggenstions?

It wont answer your question, but you could have this problem too:
I have a problem in my current project where text frame having no text make the document report the usage of a font wich we dont want the project to use (times by exemple). The problem being that Indesign report usage of a font wich is in fact not applied to any text. Weird!
The easy fix is to identify those items (text frame class + no text) and reassign them as "unassigned".

Can we set User roles/permissions for a content that is stored in Contentspace at the end of Process

I have a requirment where a set of approvers approve a form and at the end of the process i store the form as a pdf in the contentspace.
My requirment is that, can we set roles/permission for the file that i store in the contentspace and allow only the people who have approved the form to view/edit the content the the contentspace.
If possible what is the workbench activity should i use and how should i use it in the process?

There is a read/write permissions service in the Content Services category in workbench that will allow you to control the access to the space or th efile that you write intp CS.

Characters going missing after placing content from Word

I am trying to place a chapter from Word to InDesign, recently I noticed in few chapters that characters at the end of a sentence are getting truncated from the actual content and getting added to the last page of the InDesign file.
I have extracted few pages from the InDesign file and marked the sentences on page 2, 3, and 4 where the characters have gone missing and have also marked the location on the last page where these characters have got inserted.
I am using Adobe InDesign CS4.

Alas -- Hate to burst your bubble.
This particular annoyance used to pop up only very infrequently, but lately it happens more and more (perhaps upgrade related? I'm on 6.0.4 now). Saving the same document as RTF definitely does *not* help (only in the sense that I usually get other random fragments of text at the end).
It's not true it has anything to do with footnotes -- I just saw it in an entirely regular document, no thrills nor frills.
With every new version importing Word documents has detoriated more and more, where older versions happily import the exact same files that the newer version chokes on or simply imports wrong. I've noticed and reported this since, oh, CS2 came out, and -- sadly -- every new version since.
[Edit: It's a bit like that **** annoying line in the quotes that get inserted automatically!]
