Roles required for accessing BBPGETVD Transaction

Hi
Can any one help me what are the required roles to be assigned to a user to access the tcode BBPGETVD.
I mean I wanted access the BBPGETVD transaction . what are the roles that i need to assign myself so that i can use that tcode.

Hi Sai,
As far as I have seen more than the transactions, the jobs associated with the transactions are used.
Also, the replication is done by the administrator of the system, which means either SAP_ALL or SAP_EC_BBP_ADMINISTRATOR.
I suggest you to run the associated jobs for the 2 transactions BBPGETVD and BBPUPDVD . Following are the jobs associated
BBPGETVD BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA_JOB
BBPUPDVD BBP_VENDOR_UPDATE_DATA_JOB

Roles required for BPM operation

Hi Everyone,
Any idea what roles are required for the user used in receiver SOAP channel for accessing NWBPMs deployed on Java AS(Marked in Red)?
I have already tried below :

With these roles it doesn’t work. I consistently get 403 forbidden error i.e. not sufficient authorization.
Even tried roles like : SAP_BPM_SuperAdmin, SAP_BPM_TRIGGER_EVENT but same result.
Only with full admin rights it works. Appreciate some inputs incase anybody has worked on this?

Spaces allowed in role names for access credentials?

Are spaces allowed in role names for access credentials?
We have a credential from our Leanring Management Sustem (Sakai) that is named "Project Owner."
We would, most likely, need to url encode this name when we send a credential over http post or get, but my question is on what the role should be named inside iTunes U itself.
Would the role be "project owner," "project%20owner," or other?

I haven't tested this, but ... if you can use spaces ... they are definitely going to have to be URL encoded. Recall that any credentials are going to have to, eventually, be made a part of an iTunes U request URL. Like any other URL, you have to follow basic URI rules about things like spaces.
If I can squeeze some time for this, I might try to see if I can created a credential with spaces. I'm not hopeful about the result ... but you can't win if you don't play.

Roles require for BI configuration user

Hi All,
I have done BI connection with our PRD ECC 6.0 server successfully , but while making RFC connections i used user with sap_all profile ,
Now i want to know which exact roles are required for that user to maintain successfull connection and extraction , as i have been asked to remove sap_all from the user which is used by me.
which are roles i should allocate to the user so that i can gurantee nothing happens to my current configuration.
Help is really appreciated.

Hi Ajit,
In SAP <b>BW</b>, you should create a system (not a dialog) user called BWREMOTE.
BWREMOTE should have the authorization profile S_BI-WHM_RFC.
Note: S_BI-WHM_RFC is a profile, not a role.
This profile will give user BWREMOTE the access needed to extract from an
OLTP system. The profile also provides the access required for staging steps
to get the data into InfoCubes.
On <b>ECC</b> system, you should create a system user called BWALEREMOTE. This user should have the authorization profile S_BI-WX_RFC.
Note: S_BI-WX_RFC is a profile, not a role.
This profile will give user BWALEREMOTE the access needed to connect and
send data to the SAP BW system.
(It is permissible to use a different name for the users BWREMOTE and BWALEREMOTE. What matters is that the user in SAP BW has the profile S_BI-WHM_RFC and the user in the other SAP system has the profile S_BI-WX_RFC.)

Conceptual problem: 2 roles, 1 for access and 1 for allowed activities

in SAP BW 3.5, I'd like to have separate role for
- access to something (queries, inforarea, etc.)
- authorization to perform an action (01 Create, 02 Change, 03 Display, Execute, etc.)
The driver being that all users will have at least 2 roles, one telling what they can access and one telling what they are allowed to do.
So far, S_RS_COMP is not that useful because it combines these 2 concepts.
Any idea, how I may be able to do it?

As you state yourself, there is no obvious solution. Maybe a clarification of what you want to realize could help. Could it be that your distiction between "access" and "authorization for an action" is a bit fuzzy? What I want to say is that to grant access at least means to give authorization "03 Display".
What you could is to make a distinction between "datamodel access" (S_RS_COMP + RSINFOAREA, ...), "reporting access" (role with report menu) and "content access" (role with content based authorization objects). Maybe this idea helps.

I am configuring MSS 60.1.0 with R/3 4.70 and Portal 7.0. Portal user is connected to a PERNR in backend, this PERNR is a chief for a particular org unit. Can some body please suggest me what R/3 roles* I need to assign to PERNR in backend so that this PERNR has authorizations to execute iviews in MSS?
For example Manager Generic needs to be assigned to PERNR?

Hi. I can't actually get on to SAP at the moment but try BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK in R/3.
If that does not work look at BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE, it might have the option to post or park.

Roles required for BIPCatalogUtil.sh and blank rtf files.

The first question I have are what roles are required to make all the aspects of the BIPCatalogUtil.sh import utility work?
I have an issue that when importing the rtf files seems to not work. The file looks fine on the OS but in the application they go blank. I have a feeling it's access related, hence the first question, but if anyone has an idea.
The log so nothing other than success.

I was not able to execute bapi BAPI_MATERIAL_GETLIST but I executed BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL succesfully.
Still I have 2 doubt.
[1]. I called BAPI function module(BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL) from simple java program,But I need to call API method ( GETDETAIL) created for this BAPI not direct BAPI function module.
[2] this is something apart from original topic.
I have tested your java code in java as well as similar in ECC 6.0
But I am not getting any output in JAVA program.
I am getting output in ECC6.0 only when I will take internal table lt_mara[] with header line.
if I will take separate workarea output is not coming. I think this is the problem in JAVA also.
