Roll overs - over images

Hi there... I’m looking for a bit of advice here.
Basically I am trying to create page on a website that show you the
inside of a facility using a map for navigation. So there will be a
birds eye view of the map and where you click on each of the
meetings rooms and information / images are displayed above the map
for each. However I want to have the text to be interactive, ie-
roll overs...So when you hover over each room it changes colour and
when selected the room or text changes colour to make it obvious
which room you are in...
Is dreamwever the best package to use for this or would
fireworks / photoshop be a better option for this?

Adobe Photoshop cs6 over citrix, Image Issue

HI Guys,
I am Citrix Tech, could you please help or suggest me in get this issue sorted. we have published Adobe Photoshop CS6 over Citrix which uses ICA protocol. When user launches the application and opens a image it loads with Blue coat color over the image.

Thanks for the update, yes initial checks reveals it is something to deal with Citrix. I was able to open the same image fine locally on Server, but when accessd via citrix it comes with Blue color.
As of now Citrix have advised to have Citrix Roll pack 05 to be installed.

I am running Photoshop CC 2014 on Windows 8.1 with an AMD quad core processor and AMD E1-2100 APU with AMD Radeon HD 8210 Graphics Card. I have installed the latest driver version 13.152.0.0. When I activate puppet warp, the mesh appears over the image and I can place the first pin. However, when I go to add the second pin, Photoshop crashes. I have tried with on a new, blank file, with just a few lines on it, but, as soon as I place the first pin, the image disappears, and then, as soon as I click anywhere else in the image, Photoshop crashes. I have followed all the online advice about settings under the Preferences/Performance interface, but nothing fixes the problem. Can anyone please help?

How can I place a custom table over an image?

I have a graphic embedded in the Master Page at the start of every chapter like this.
I created a borderless Custom Table without the data that I want to place over the image so it looks like the text is typed on the notebook paper. I apparently can't add this to the Master Page, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this on the Body Page either. The table is the same as in my previous question but included here again for reference. While the borders are evident here, I will turn them off when I get this placed. The merged cells are for graphics that will change every Lesson. Appreciating this forum as always. Someday I hope I have enough knowledge to help other people here...

Laurie,
You need to have a text frame over the area that you want your table to appear. On the Master Page, use the graphics tools to draw the text frame (Body not Background type) where you need it. Then on the Body pages insert the table. You may need to play with the positioning of the graphic on the Master Page and perhaps use the Format > Page Layout > Line Layout > Baseline Synchronization option as well as the Table Row Height properties to get things to properly align.

Transparent shadow crossing over the image in pdf output

Hi Folks,
In recent days, we are frequently facing problem in using of tiff format image in InDesign. In pdf output, there is some transparent shadow crossing over the image. The problem occurs in ps to pdf as well as export pdf settings. The issue was not happened for the past 5 years.
If it is a reproducible error, we could find the root cause of the problem. But the same issue does not occur if we create the pdf again. Please see below the differences in viewing of actual image & problematic image and suggest how to resolve this and why it happens.

Now I have suggested my team to convert all tiff images to psd image format. I really don't know whether it helps. All I need is to know the root cause of the issue. Anybody please suggest would be really helpful.

In Issue 2, horizontal green color shading is crossing above the play/pause icon in right hand side of the image.
In Issue 3, I have displayed the screenshot of the image placed in InDesign to show the original view of the image. But the problem shows in right hand side that is pdf output view. You can see the horizontal green color shading in 1st image and light grey color shading (at the top of "NO" text) in 2nd image.

How to add an Image layered over another Image?

In our application, we display a big image file in the main application window.
Now, we want to display customer's image(like their logo etc.,) just layered over main image on the top-left corner, restricted in size.

Is it possible to show a JLabel over another JLabel?

Solution 1:
JLabel is a container, So you can add any component on top of JLabel but normally it will not display but if you set any layout then you can see the added component.

Over some images my imac cursor has changed to a hand with a blue magnifying grid - how to I get back to normal?

Sometimes when moving over an image, mt cursor changes to a hand with a blue magnifying grid. How can I disable this?

Thanks sberman ... unfortunately that option is & has been unticked. It has happened to me two or three times but my memory ain't what it used to be so I can't recall the exact circumstances. It went away by itself this morning after an overnight shutdown so I don't think it can be a "preferences" item. Only thing I had to do this morning was to change trackpad batteries. Maybe low batt power was the cause? Interestingly before I posted the query here, I was searching all over the net for a similar problem and could not find even one related post or comment anywhere. And this post has 53 views with only your reply so maybe it is a spurious / unique problem? I'll leave the post for now as the problem seemed to have fixed itself and if it happens again, I will re-try everything first, including checking batteries. Somehow I thought mnaybe I had hit a keyboard shortcut in error but I can't find any reference at all to this kind of behaviour. Wierd!! But thanks very much for your reply!!

I wasn't able to (easily) find anything in the way of a textfield to type something into that you describe, but you can assign code for input textfields to detect when something changes in them and take action from that event. How you do it depends on which version of actionscript you are using.

Apple Mail isn't going to change the format of any of your attachments. it isn't going to corrupt them either.
Exchange is a transport protocol and server. The issue you describe is not related to Exchange.
There are many different versions of Microsoft Outlook in use and they all have e-mail bugs. Different versions have different bugs. Some Apple Mail hack to get around a bug in Outlook 2003 may cause the same message to be problematic in Outlook 2000. Fix them both and another issue will cause trouble in Outlook 2007. You can't fix this. Apple can't fix this. Microsoft can and has but that is irrelevant if your recipients are using older versions.
One specific problem is that Apple Mail always sends image attachments inline, as images, not as iconized files. You can change this with Attachment Tamer. Just be aware that use of this software will break other things such as Stationery. E-mail is just a disaster. To date, no one outside of Apple has ever implemented the e-mail standards from 1993. Apple has continually changed its e-mail software to be more compatible with the de-facto standards that Netscape and Microsoft have unilaterally defined and people documented as "standards" after the fact. The e-mail messages that Apple Mail sends are 100% correct and do not violate any of the original standards from 1993 or the Microsoft/Netscape modifications. The problem is entirely bugs and limitations in various versions of Outlook.

Blog Template Comes Over As Image, Need It To Be Text...Arrghh!

For the purpose of having content and to be more optimized by search engines I want my blogs to be content/html, not converted to an image. I am utilizing the "show text indicator", which tells me it is not going to be converted and then I go into my blog.html file and it comes over as images, not my text (content). I have dropped all shadow boxes and am using arial font. I also host outside of apple because I found it easier to do the redirects and meta tags, but that is just me Im sure. I do not know if this would make a difference, I do not think so but trying to give all the facts. Is this just the way it is or is there a fix? Any and all help appreciated, thx.

It'll be something you have done. Think back to recent things you may have done. For example, might you have created a new catalogue? Anything listed under File > Open Recent?

Adding a Map link over an image with a Z Index setting

I have to add a map invisible link to a spot over an image on a page. If I look in the css file it is as follows

    width: 253px;
    margin-right: -253px;
The map must go over the image that covers this area. When I add the map I do not see the link. I would think this has to do with the Z Index how can I get the map to be on the top level without changing the Z Index or can I ?

Inserting text over an image in dreamweaver cc

I am trying to insert text over an image in fluid grid layout but all i can see is the text. I have seen the previous query relating to this but it does not help. Help on this would be great.

Layers or APDivs won't work in FluidGrid Layouts. You'll need to drop the image into your container's background with CSS. Or use Photoshop to apply text directly to your graphic.

Your issue is quite simple. Tutorial author is using a PSD file with no background under the text (file with transparency) - you are using a jpg - file with gray background that is covering your rays. You have to remove background in photoshop and export it to AE without it or remove it in AE using some Keying plugins or simply masks.

Why is the text going over the image when the text layer is below the image layer?? It is so frustrating.

Are you sending the texts to his phone number or his Apple ID? It might be that the texts originated from your phone is to his Apple ID and not his phone number and his Apple ID was not registered for the Message app on his phone. So any texts to his Apple ID is not received by his phone.
Can you receive his texts? If yes, then reply back from what he send you and see if he can receive the texts.

There are a lot of images that seem off the internet, including gif.s, png.s. Help!

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
