Rollback the single employee Payroll in 12.1.3

Dear Guru's,
We Ran the payroll for terminated employee. (Termination date is 1-May-2014.) We process the payroll on that month (31-May-2014) with including the terminated employee and posted all records in GL. We want to process all the settlement with his payroll amount using the quick pay process. We don't want to run for rollback all the employee because it was posted already in GL.
Can some one help me on this?

Query for the employee as on 30-Apr-2014
Delete each of the associated payroll processes for May-2014
Do the quickpay for May-2014

Hi,
I am using a task flow region inside another task flow fragment. Both are having view bindings from different AM's. Here I am trying to apply the Rollback for single app module. After rollback both AM's view data is getting clear.

Both AMs are running the same database session, and so are sharing the same transaction. A rollback applies to the entire transaction unless you use the "ROLLBACK TO savepoint" syntax. Outside the ADF environment, I'd say that you want to create a save point with "SAVEPOINT savepointname" at the beginning of the inner taskflow, and rollback with "ROLLBACK TO SAVEPOINT savepointname". There is probably a way to do that in ADF, but I don't know how - maybe someone else will chime in. You might also want to look at this blog entry by Chris Muir: http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com/2007/02/jdeveloper-and-art-of-rollback.html and see if it sparks an idea.

Block the processing of payroll for employees who do not have IT0185 ST01

Hi People.
I have a client requirement that payroll should be processed only for those persons for whom ID number (IT0185-ST01) is available. I am trying to do it for Portugal Payroll.
I activated P0185 function in PE04 for Portugal and created 2 rules:
*ZH01 Verifica existência do IT0185*
*TABLEP0185 Ler campos de tabela*
*" VARGBSUBTY Campo tab.VVVVV ArgV*
*" 01*
*NUM=1 Definir*
*ADDWT&0185 VAR tab.variáveis*
and...

And I put the rules in sequence in the scheme. But the function P0185 doesn't accept rules.
How do I block the processing of payroll for employees who do not have infotype 0185 subtype 01?

if you are not sure about the linking i suggest to just show all roles associated to all the employees,
group by employee
create true/false formula for the role_ids where ONLY your 20 role is TRUE per employee
then exclude all false - that should give you only the employees that are missing that particular role.

You can assign multiple position to single employee, based on the Employment Percentage in IT001, you can assign multiple position.
This concept is especially called Concurrent Employment. Assigning of multiple position, in Concurrent Employment, SAP has developed in such a way that, it will synchronize your Work schedule and show it one screen and payroll will calculate the amount from various assignment.
I have posted the Wiki about the Concurrent Employment in the Wiki section. If you want go through that, you will get little idea.

Single Employee Payment

Hi,
Can we do Payment for a single employee through Quick Pay. Once we run Quick pay then we complete the Prepayment for this particular Employee, Now how this employee will get pay. do we need to run the standard payroll method after prepayment, Ex- EFT, COSTING.

If you have run Quick-Pay on 15-May-2012 and then Quick-prepayments. Now if you run EFT it will only pick this one employee.
If you run Payroll -run at month end it will not pick the above employee, as it was already processed.
But, if you have just run Quick-pay and Quick-prepayments on 15-May. And then run Payroll run, prepayments at month-end, And run the EFT, it will pick all the employees, including Quick-pay.
It all depends on what/how you want to process it.

How to RollBack the SQL Querries in XMII

Hi,
I need to Rollback the SQL query for the parent table if the query for the child table fails in the transaction.
In the current scenario I have two separate table one is the parent table for which I have a ID column referred by the child table.
However,if the query for the child table fails I need to rollback the parent table query.
Is there any way to do this in MII?

To answer your questions in a single line, there is no MII capability that lets you do this inherently from MII. However there are two alternatives.
1) As Manoj mentions is to use Stored Procedures.
2) Use JTA Action Blocks. You should however note that the JTA Actions blocks are provided as is, with no official support from SAP and I would be very brave indeed to use them in a production environment.

How can i rollback the tasks done by webservice?

    I am implementing a webservice.
    Which posts data in a DB as well as SAP.
    posting data into DB has to be implemented by calling ejb.
    posting data into SAP has to be implemented by calling XI webservice.
    For this i am assuming like this way...............
    Call the ejb to post data into DB.
    Call the XI webservice to post data into SAP.
    If XI webservice is executed properly then commit the transaction to post data   into DB.
    But there may be another possibility ...........
     While commiting the transaction if any exception comes ,
     How can i rollback the XI webservice?Is it possible to rollback the webservice
     after it is executed?
     Can any one guide me.

The other solution could be the XI WebSerice should handle multiple targets which I mean, instead of two separate calls to DB and XI you can have single call to XI WebService which will take care of SAP transaction as well as DB transaction with JDBC Adapter. I am not a XI expert but as per my knowledge you can achieve this through BPM.

It works and changes the status of MGE to activate... but this still does not release the infotypes (700 series for GE ie 702, 703, 706, 715 etc with others). This is the situation after activating switches CCURE MAINS and CCURE GLEMP.
The message displayed is:
"You attempted to access infotype &1. According to the system settings, however, it is not permitted to use this infotype."
Any clues on this restriction.

35+ minute runtime for the program PAY004 Payroll Check Register

I hope you are doing fine day.
We need your urgent help.
We are on Peoplesoft HRMS Application Release 8.80 SP1 and PeopleTools 8.44. We use North America payroll for all our employees in North America.
We are experiencing 35+ minute runtime for the program PAY004 Payroll Check Register. This happens when user selects run id which is assigned to all companies, paygroup for the month of June 2008. It looks that the program PAY004 is picking up wrong index PSEPAY_CHECK for the record PAY_CHECK. When we force the program PAY004 via Oracle hint /*+ index(P1 PS0PAY_CHECK) */ then the program runs under 3 minutes.
Questions for you:
1. What is causing the above wrong index to the picked for the record PAY_CHECK in the program PAY004?
2. Where do we specify the default index for a record in Peoplesoft?
3. Is adding the hint the best solution?
Please reply ASAP.

Our business is communicating between java and COM component. In order to implement it, we used JavaCom to generate java class for COM component.
Memory of COM component is little, but Native Memory is high.
Who used JavaCom and did you meet this problem?

Balancing BW Employee payroll to R3

Hi,
I'm looking for the best method to balance employee payroll (0PY_C02) between BW and R3. We are using end-date of the in-period to allocate pay to month. I'm trying to use the Wage Types report but it isn't evident how to select so as to get comparable data. Is there a better method?

For the record, this is possible using the Wage type report : Transaction PC00_M99_CWTR ou PGM H99CWTR0.
You must make sure you use the in- or for-view, depending upon the option you take when assigning payroll data to calendar month (i.e. based in end date of in-period or for-period, etc)

Multiple entries for single employee in salary posting document

Hi All,
Require your help badly in sorting out an issue.
For a particular provision, for ex - Prov for LTA, it is observed that multiple entries appear in salary posting document for a single employee. It is the case for other provisions too like LTA, Gratuity for numerous employees.

I went to the genius bar the other day and was told that force quitting apps was the single worst thing I can do to my phone or iPad, short of dropping and damaging it, or jailbreaking it.That it is bad for the software, firmware and battery. The employee was very excited about the topic and cringed when I force quit in front of him. He gave me the url to read about multi-tasking so that i could read more. But neither that page nor the force quitting apps page says anything about this activity being bad. Is it so bad? If so, why don't we know that? So many people I know force quit in an effort to have fewer pages appear.

Thank you for the feedback. I can breathe a sigh of relief that I can once again clear these pages from my sight. This employee said he tells about a half dozen people a day when they come in with various problems, as he is attributing their problems to force quitting. It's like he was out to save the world, one iphone user at a time. I'm talking *serious* passion from this man!

A Payroll Area is an Accounting Area where you classify your employees to get their Payroll.
Further a Payroll Area fulfills two functions that are necessary for Payroll.
These are:
-It groups together personnel numbers that are to be processed on the same day.
-It determines exact Payroll Period.
For Ex: If you want to run Payroll for Salaried employees and Industrial Workers, you define
different Payroll Areas seperately with different Pay Periods.
(Ex. One Payroll ARea for Salaried on 1st of Every month and other for Industrial workers
on 15th of every month)
And also this is very important for capturing time data with Payroll.
