Rollback VO extention .. rollback JPX file and Personalization

I have applied the Patch for VO extension.. and Personalization link is disbale.
Due to some error on server ..
I want to manually remove the files from file system.
can anybody do let me know the step please. thank you

Patch was to extend a VO and created a new RN . I have extended the seeded VO.
1) Uploaded the file of VO
2) JPX File using jpx importer
3) Added the Region using Importer
3) Personalized a page and impoter using imporer script .. bt by mistake i have keept the path... webui/site/0 insteed of webui/customisations/site/0
In functional administration Personalization link is disable .. so i cnt deactive it.
I want to delete my personalized file manually from FTP. is there is any way to do it
How to roll back
1) extended VO
2) Rollback JPX file
3) Rollback my perosnalized Page

Can anybody tell me why we need cpx and jpx files when we deploy web application developed with Jdev9i on oc4j stand alone application server ?
I would like to know in detail of cpx and jpx files when server is looking into these files and for what ?

*.cpx speaking for ADF: The DataBinding.cpx file is automatically created and contains the data controls for the business service used within an application as well as a reference to the UI client model definition in the UIModel.xml files.
Before ADF the cpx file was used to configure the AM module refrence to BC4J

do it in developement server or testing server and then delete it or revert it once you get data file or co file.

Where to find old backup files and how to use it to restore

Hi,
Need help. I did a OS update to iOS 6 today.
Before the update I did backup my phone on my PC.
But since that backup there was a new back up that created automatically when I connected my phone back to the PC. Now with some issues I want to rollback to previous backup. But this backup file is not visible in the restore from backup list. Is there anyway I can manually find this file and try to restore from it.
In the backup folder I can see a few files with previous backup time stamp but not sure how I can use these files and which file to use..

Redolog files and datafiles in same partition

Hi,
We have Oracle Engine, Oracle Database files and Redo log files in same partition ( /oradata ) which is the mirrored partition ( Internal disk)
we found that its not good idea to put Oracle Engine, Database files and Redo Log files in same partition...
we want to move database files and redo logfiles to SAN..
Is it better to create 2 SAN Paritions...1 Partition is for Database files and 2nd partition is for redo log files..
SAN speed is 2 Gbps....
or is it better to create 4 Partitions...1 partition is for database files and other 3 partitions are for each red log file of each group...
please sched some light on this

i want design navigation button use JButton(swing) not use JUNavigationBar.
but i don,t understand how can i check last record and fist record like in Visual basic use Method BOF(Begin Of File) and EOF(End Of File)? What method/syntax in java i use it?

Need to publish PHP files and be able to "open other movie"

I am hoping someone can help me. I converted my published
captivate projects to PHP per request of my company web team. In
most projects, I link to an addional project using the On success:
"Open other project" command. All projects are .cp files and this
feature has always worked in the past when published and uploaded
my projects as .htm. I can still upload my files as .php with the
.swf file and opening a project from my web page works fine.
However, when I click the link at the end of one project to open
the next, I recieve an error stating the file cannot be found.
Consequently, the file it is looking for is the .htm and I cannot
figure out a way for it to look for the .php file. Because of
company standards, I cannot simply upload all files (.php, .swf,
.htm) as a work around. Does anyone have a procedure to make
Captivate "call" the .php file extention when linking a project
instead of the .htm?

You might try using the approach of "Open URL or File". Then
point to the URL of the PHP page instead.
I think if I were in your shoes, I'd arrange a meeting with
the web team and see if you can figure out why HTM/SWF are bad and
things MUST be PHP or die. You may just find that after you explain
all the extra effort and time wasted in attempting to be compliant
with what is often some IT person's whim and mandate, things will
change and you will be allowed to publish what has always worked
until IT wanted to change things and break it and point their
fingers at you.

I'm in prepress, working mainly with Quark XPress for advertising files and with Word, Photoshop, everything, for many years. My older computer is the workhorse with Quark 6.5 and CS4 and OSX 10.4.11. Everything is set up for me to produce PDF x1a files by printing .ps files from Quark and Word, and InDesign.
My newer computer, OSX 10.9.4, must now be used to a greater extent. So I have Quark 9 and 10 and now Creative Suite for the Cloud. But I don't have any Adobe PDF printer which I select when I print .ps files and place into my Distiller Watched Folder. I by pass selecting the Adobe PDF printer in Word and just print straight to .ps. The .ps file just sits in the Watched Folder and no longer flows into Distiller, processed and out. Is this the way of the future? I just want a smooth, fast flow for PDF's. I want them to be PDF x1a compliant for hi-quality printing.
Thought you might help to give me info as to how one uses Distiller (or not) with the new operating system and latest programs. Can't seem to find any info as of yet by searching the Adobe FAQ's and the Internet in general.

.jpx files are not being created..

Hello Folks,
I have a Workspace, which is a typical Web component workspace, its a Struts based ADF application.
Apart from that Workspace, I also have a Jdeveloper Project on which I have got Utility class files.
I attach this Project to the Workspace and compile the Workspace.
BUT, the .jpx files for the jdeveloper project don't get created.
All other Class files in the project are created. I suspect it something to do with classpath settings.
Has anyone faced a similar problem below and if so can help resolve?

Do you have any business services objects like AM , VO , EO etc which can be used in the data model. the .jpx file will be created only in that scenario.
The.jpx file contains configuration information that JDeveloper uses in the design time to allow you to
create the data model project with ADF Business Components.
It also contains metadata that defines how a shared application module is used at runtime.
Because the shared application module can be accessed by any
data model project in the same Fusion web application, JDeveloper maintains the scope of the shared application module

Most HP printers have HP Solution Center which is used to set up scanning,choosing where to save,etc. Once a file/photo is scanned and saved to the folder, open the folder.Select the file and at the top of the window should be the option to 'Email'.

BC4J : How do I move a jpx file?

I am experiencing great frustration trying to move a jpx file. It is currently being stored in the directory with the BC4J objects, I am trying to move it into a separate directory in order to keep it with the .jpr file. How do I move it? I have tried just copying it to the new location, and removing the 'old' reference and adding the 'new' to the project, that doesn't work. I have tried modifying the jpx file, couldn't get that to work either.

I do not have iMovie, so I can't try this!
Run iTunes with your iPad connected to the computer, either by the USB cable or by WiFi. Select the iPad under DEVICES in iTunes. Click on Apps at the top of the window and scroll down to File Sharing. If iMovie appears there, select it. The Documents window to the right is where you transfer files to (Add) and from (Save To) the iPad.

How to index text in TIFF and DWG files - and the attributes of the files

Scenario
Portal installation with a TREX on the side (NW7.0).
No enterprise search involved.
Questions
1) Is it possible for the TREX to extract text from .DWG and .TIFF files in any standard way?
2) Is it possible to index custom properties that are maintained on a DWG-file and a TIFF-file? Or is it only the name and description fields that will be indexed?
3) If it is not possible for the TREX to extract text from DWG-files and TIFF-files, do you know of a third-party filter for TREX like dwgifilter for Microsoft software? http://www.dwgifilter.com/default.aspx
4) Would it be possible to code and implement your own python extension in order for OCR to work with the TREX? If yes, would this be a complicated or fairly easy task? Where would you start... ?

for TIFF Not in the standard delivery. You have to develop this features.
for DWG? perhaps AutoCAD Interchange and Native Drawing Formats (DXF and DWG)

Within KM you can define some Meta-Properties. During upload of your documents you can maintain the values for this proerties for every file. It is possible to search for the content of the properties as well.

I am not quite sure but I think there doesn't exist a third party solution for this.

You can implement your own python extention.
Add your coding for python extention in the default python extention code.

Starting Commerce Server and Personalization Server

I am trying to evaluate these products. I am running NT 4.0, SP5 with
256MB RAM. I have installed Weblogic Server 5.1.0 with SP 6. I have
installed the latest version of the Commerce Server and Personalization
Server. I had to remove the -server switch from the java command line in
the startup script in order to get the JVM to start. The Commerce server
begins to initialize, then a bunch of exceptions are thrown, then it
shuts itself down.
I have attached the log file

Deep into OAF...T1-Extension and Personalization.

This thread series is being posted only for the purpose of extracting usually "hidden" things.So that the users who have gained a satisfactory level, can share or explore some deep sides of OAF.
So as the first thread in "Deep in OAF..." is regarding Extension and Personalization.
Q1. My first question is when I perform a vo substitution, how does OAF manages to pick the new extended vo in place of existing one.There is MDS which has substitution information.But the question is how and when does MDS is read and what action then OAF takes to accomplish the task?

Finally here is the answer,with slight doubt..
Sufficient information was already collected in previous posts.
We could understand the role of MDS that it contains the substituion information.
Now answer to the question about how this information is used...
Well its the JVM which plays another role.
While running the JVM, there is a parameter which instructs the jvm whether to use the substituion informatio or not with the path of substituion information.
If it says yes then JVM looks in to substitution information and check what to replace with what. Means if VO1 is to substituted with VO1Ex..then
For each request to create object of VO1, JVM creates object of VO1Ex.
The remaining responsibility is of JVM.(As indicated earlier, A parent's reference can refer to child object.)
The slight doubt is, about the options how JVM gets value of whether to use personalization or not.
The two options are...
1. Pass as a parameter to JVM..(As explained here.The near same approach is also used by JDev).
2. OR its some of JVM's class file which contains the code to get value of the profile option and then take action accordingly. (This one seems more near to deployment instances and I favour it.)
And now it clears also why oracle says no to even creating copy of the object, but to extend.
Also it indicates how personalizations can be swiched of by FND_DISABLE_OA_CUSTOMIZATIONS.
So which option to choose? It becomes easy by the answer..when value of FND_DISABLE_OA_CUSTOMIZATIONS is changed, some server( apache or form ) bounce is required? (I never tested it so far)
If yes, then the option is first one other wise its second.
