Rollover images in Dreamweaver CS6 show blue frame in Internet Explorer...

Hi
I've created some very simple rollover buttons in Photoshop and placed them into Dreamweaver as rollover images to use as a navigation bar.
They appear correct in all browsers except Internet Explorer - they appear with a blue frame around?  The table boarder is set to 0...
My Dreamweaver knowledge is very limited so appologies if there is a very simple solution to my problem :-)
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Kim

Thank you for your help - this works :-)
Sorry about my lack of knowledge :-)
Thanks again!

You only need to use the source code to implant these shows there where you want. In my eyes it would be the best that you use first a very new and blank DW file to perform (maybe in LiveView) the one or the other.

  • em /em tag shows as bold not as italics in Firefox. But it shows as italics in Internet Explorer. It also shows as Italics in Dreamweaver. Why is that? How can I make Firefox show em /em as italics? Thank you. Jeffrey Feng yfeng@whittier.edu

<em></em> tag shows as bold in Firefox, but it shows as italics in Internet Explorer. It also shows as italics in Dreamweaver and Contribute. Since our web designers use Dreaweaver and Contribute to create web pages, texts are formatted as italics when they use <em></em> tag, but when the end user browses the web using Firefox, they see bold text instead of italics. How can we remedy this problem with Firefox without changing hundreds of pages which contain <em></em>?
    Thank you.

  • Saving Images in Dreamweaver CS6

I have imported a menu that I created in Fireworks CS6, into dreamweaver cs6, I save to the remote server and you can't see anything.
Same thing with Bridge CS6. I create a slideshow and import into dreamweaver cs6 and still nothing. Or I will simply put a jpeg or png picture file and the image won't show. Please help
I just need to know how to save the different images/menu bars in dreamweaver cs6 to the remote server, and I would like it to show online automatically. What do I do
www.uniquehairytage.com   (this is one of the sites I am talking about)

I can only assume that it's the dodgy code that exports from Fireworks because your images are uploaded and in the correct place.
Can you copy all of the code below and paste it into a new Dreamweaver document (you'll have to open code view to do this) save it as test.html and upload it to your remote server and then look at it in a browser and see what happens?

  • Placing an Image in Dreamweaver CS6 and Mavericks

To place an image in a web page, I have always been able to drag the file (say jpeg) from the Macintosh Finder and drop it into the web page.  I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 and it worked fine with Lion, but stopped working with Mavericks.  Can anyone tell me how to turn this capability back on?

No image is placed.  Nothing blows up.  And I can't find a preference setting to turn this on. It's a mystery to me why this is happening.
I write software for the Mac (WildTools) so I'm pretty good at debugging things, but this has be stumped.

  • Optimizing images | Learn Dreamweaver CS6 | Adobe TV

In Dreamweaver CS6, Adobe has streamlined the integration between Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Learn how to take images directly from Photoshop to Dreamweaver. Then, see how to optimize the images and edit them in Photoshop using Adobe's round-trip editing feature.

    warlock7,
I tested this out in Dreamweaver CS6, but in all cases the drag-and-drop was functioning properly.
If you create a new document using one of the included layouts (e.g. 3-column liquid) and insert an image in it, are you able to drag it around?

  • Images don't show on my website in Firefox but show just fine in Internet Explorer

    http://www.SurviveDiabetes.com/Essay/Essay1.htm
I've tried the usual remedies - Images or Animations do not show, Favicon permissions - I'm stumped!
The image files don't show when I click the favicon (to the left of the URL), then More Information, then Media - other sites show many image files. The Essay1.htm file was created as a doc in Word 10 then published to an htm file - there's an associated Essay1-files folder which contains the image files in the order used. Is Firefox expecting to find this info in the htm file somehow? How do I tell Firefox where to look?

That is still an MS Office document and Firefox can't display such a file like IE can.
Firefox doesn't know about files like this to add images:
You need to use a W3C compliant HTML editor to create your website and embed the images via <nowiki><img></nowiki> tags.
If you do not have such an editor then look at KompoZer.

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do).  Inline styles are safer IMHO.

  • Site not showing up right in internet explorer

I am new to dreamweaver and I loaded up my first test page
and it looks fine in firefox, but in internet explorer it is not
showing up right. I made a template for this. I am using tables
nesting inside of tables would this be causing the problem? If this
is the problem how would I fix this?
    Thanks

Unless you upload your page to a server for the rest of us to
    see, theres
not much we can do to help....we need to see your code...

  • My Adsense Ads do not show on Wordpress Blog Sidebar. All that shows is a blank box. The Adsense ads show just fine in Internet Explorer. What is wrong here?

Adsense Ads are not showing up on my WordPress Blog Sidebar. The same ads are showing on Internet Explorer, but not on my Firefox Browser. What is wrong here?
    http://www.BuyBeadsOnlineBestChoice.com

Actually, my AdSense is set up to work differently on the actual blog post pages. If you look at this link
    [http://mytruckalogue.blogspot.com/2012/03/going-back-to-work-for-marten_20.html http://mytruckalogue.blogspot.com/2012/03/going-back-to-work-for-marten_20.html]
    there should be
1.) a 300x250 block of yellow text ads just under the the post title
2.) a 300x250 block of yellow text or image ads at the top of the sidebar, and
3.) a 300x250 block of template color text or image ads just under the Blog Archive.
Incidentally, I can't see my blog at all at this moment because my company has disallowed viewing personal websites and blogs on their wifi. REAL bummer! Sitting in my truck waiting for dispatch and can 't work on my blog :-(
But I'd be grateful to know if anyone else can see these ads - I can, at least, view this website.
    Thanks much :-)

  • Image files in a table mis-aligned in Internet Explorer

I have a website which uses a couple of tables to align image files, which consist of text in boxes. Although in Dreamweaver, there is a slight discrepancy between their positions in Firefox or Safari, I've been able to get the alignment I want with small adjustments in Dreamweaver. However, in Internet Explorer 8  the top image file of two which reside in the same table is displayed about 15 pixels to the right of the one underneath it. (The vertical positioning of the whole table is a bit off as well, but I'm less concerned with that as I attribute that to browser positioning issues.) I have no idea how this could happen, as I would think the table would constrain the two images from shifting side to side in relation to each other.
    I'm on a Mac running OSX 10.6.8. and Creative Suite 3/Dreamweaver 8
    Here's the URL:  http://www.downsizedlivingmag.com
Any ideas as to how I can fix this? Or even better, how I can achieve the same results in IE that I get in Firefox and Safari?
    Thanks!

Ha, ha. I love the site!
You can use IE Conditional Comments to add some padding-top above your tables.
    http://css-tricks.com/132-how-to-create-an-ie-only-stylesheet/
Sadly, when I disable images in my browser, your page is very short on indexable content. Search engines, translators and screen readers can't access text in images.  You might wish to re-think this design decision and opt for more real text in headings and paragraphs where it will get noticed.  Alas, designing for the web has almost nothing in common with print design.

  • New page shows as old in internet explorer?

Hi, I am working in Dreaweaver and the site I am creating
needs to have three different themed sections. One of the sections
was called 'Galaxy' but today I was told I needed to change it to
'Orient'. So I right-clicked on the file where it was listed on the
right hand side, and changed the name from Galaxy to Orient. I also
changed the name in 'Title' at the top of the screen. Since doing
this I have compeltely redesigned every page, using a different
background and links etc, but my problem is that when I press F12
to view the site in Internet Explorer, when the Orient link is
clicked, it shows the old Galaxy page! I changed two of the themes
on different pages, and both of them are showing up as the old
pages, even though I have completely re-designed the pages and
changed all the links to link to the new pages!
I am completely stumped and would be incredibly grateful if
anyone can help me work out where I have gone wrong!
    Thanks so much!

    > When I press F12 to preview the site, the link to the
    Orient page is as

okay-- so the path is wrong.
Open the page for editing in dreamweaver.
Select that link with the mouse.
In the Properties Inspector, use the folder icon next to the
    Link box to
    browse to the correct file.

  • Not Showing Up Right in Internet Explorer?

    Hi again,
After inserting products into my website (www.proheader.com/alpha.html), they don't seem to show up right.
Here's how one of the product categories look in Apple Safari and Google Chrome:
    http://i29.tinypic.com/34hyys9.png
Here's how it shows up in Internet Explorer:
    http://i26.tinypic.com/s1lq9y.png
This not only happens to the product categories, but the Customer Setup Forms page (http://proheader.com/setup.html) as well.
Why does this happen? We want the website to be fully compatible with Internet Explorer without any major problems. I will post more screenshots (or you can see for yourself by visiting the page) and if necessary, I will post the HTML code.
    Thanks.
    Kia

You mean like these first two?
Line 97, Column 20: end tag for "tr" which is not finished                                                                           </tr>

Most likely, you nested tags and closed them in the wrong order. For example <p><em>...</p> is not acceptable, as <em> must be closed before <p>. Acceptable nesting is: <p><em>...</em></p>
Another possibility is that you used an element which requires a child element that you did not include. Hence the parent element is "not finished", not complete. For instance, in HTML the <head> element must contain a <title> child element, lists require appropriate list items (<ul> and <ol> require <li>; <dl> requires <dt> and <dd>), and so on.
