Room Role List iview

Hi All,
I created a collaboration room with SAP provided standard template which contains Overview page, Discussion page etc...
While clicking on Overview page, I am getting the My Rooms iview and Room Role List iview in DTN.
The iviews are visible only in the overview page. I guess the iviews are added in Dynamic Navigation. I want to remove Room Role List iview.
I was not able to locate where its added in dynamic navigation.
How to find the location of the iview and how to remove it from DTN.

Hi Inna,
just tested this with SPS 17. Works like expected. The window opens with 400x500 pixels (not really "maximized", but "as big as usual").

Please check the forum for such questions, before posting new one.
There are answers available for same. I am just reproducing for your reference.
Goto Content Administration -- Collaboration Content -- Room Administration -- Click on filter
u get all the rooms created in that portal and u will get below options for Administration
Lock or Unlock: Room members cannot enter a locked room
Hide or Show: The room directory does not display hidden rooms
Set Full Access or Reset Full Access: If you give the room owner full access, he or she can enter all pages in the room. Otherwise, only the page permissions for his or her room roles apply for the room owner.
Change Owner: You can select all rooms that a user owns and assign them a new owner
Delete: Before you delete a room, you can check its usage and temporarily lock or hide the room, if required.

click on the context menu of the collaboration room > send room link and you should receive the link in your inbox if your email is configured in Portal..

MSS Phone List iView (MSS 60.1.5 Java Version)

I have downloaded the Phone List iView from deployment on portal. When i open that par file with Netweaver Developer Studio it doesnt have any source code in it. Can anybody tell me how to modify it?? Am i doing right thing here.???

You will have to change the Infoset /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. The Telephone Number field is p0006-TELNR. As this is a std field, you may not be able to change the length. you should probably put in an additional field with the reqd legth, in the Infoset & add code for that field to display the Tel No. Remove the P0006-TELNR form the Infoset Selections.

You can see it in the iView Properties (Type/transaction etc) under Content Admin in the Portal.

Fetching iviews not assigned to a page,workset or a role(orphaned iviews)

Hi All,
I need to fetch iviews,pages ,worksets ,roles that have not been assigned and are not used.The iview is not assigned to a page,workset ,role,similarly a page need not be assigned to a page,workset,role and similarly for a workset and a role.
Any Pointers??

i need to code regarding the same.Can anyone provide me some pointers in regards to available api's to do the same(fetching iviews not assigned to a page,workset or a role(orphaned iviews)).I am able to fetch total iviews in pcd through coding in web dynpro java.

Role Assignment IView

How do I enable Delegated User Admin on the role management IView. The checkACL property is not available. I am using the sneak preview installation of the portal not 6.0 sp2. I can find the property in sp2 but not in this installation.

I use EP6.0 SP9 on NW4 and there is an extra role Delegated User Admin. And it's true - there is no checkACL property on Role Assignment iView. It seems that the new role replaces the property.

Room role to user assignments

Hi,
Can anyone tell me where the user to collaboration room role assignments are stored? UME? KM? Portal DB?
It would really help me understand the room architecture. Also if a user gets deleted out of our LDAP (not via the portal) I would like to be able to make sure they do not have any "old" room roles assigned to them.

We are having EP6.0 with MS-AD UME ,
Now after changing from one ldap to another , some users
are displayed as ldap id's in the rooms while some are not.
They are displayed properly with name itself.
Why is this so? Is this because they have been deleted in the
ldap but not in the room , something like that.
Any help on this would be appreciated

Links List iView: Hiding the "Organize Entries" Command

Hi all!
I am using the Links List iView to display some corporate links. This iView shows an "Organize Entries" control to update the list by default. However, in my requirement, i need to hide this command from the end user. I have taken a look on the Layout Sets involved and have not found this control; Also, i've seen on the Help System that if i change the permissions on the folder, the iView hides this control, but i've tried that and it didn't work.
Do you know how can i hide this control?

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly.
When you click on 'Advanced Copy', you have several options: you can add a prefix or a suffix to the name of the LayoutSet or you can replace a prt of the name. Roles missing in available role list at import role option

We have sap boxi 3.1 and sap integration kit both with SP2.
we configure sap authentication in the CMC.
The entitlement system is configured with a user that has no restriction in sap (SAP ALL user).
We have approximately 1400 roles in our BW client
In the available roles list at the import role tab we can see only 220-230 roles.
The list is randomly.
When we configure another bw client as a different entitlement system,
we receive approximately 280 roles out of 1380.
It looks like we are missing some buffer size configuration.
Any ideas ??

Thanks a lot.
Yes, the user in the CMC has SAP ALL credential, and is allowed to see all BW roles.
The missing roles are indeed those that are not assigned to any user.

Customize No-roles assigned iview

Hi all,
I have created a custom iview to replace "no-roles assigned iview" in the portal (which is displayed if a user without any roles logs in.
I have added this to the "standard user role (eu_role)" and intern added this role to the "everyone" group. This shows the iview for the new user, but also is there for all the old users.
How do we differntiate between the new users (who dont have any roles) and already existing users?? (is there any available group)??

Put some logic in the iView so that if the user has any other roles the message is not displayed...

Roles are using in Projects for two goals -
A) a basis for project-based security. You might create roles as project roles and assign people to the role in a project. For example, project manger, project admin, project billing person, etc. You then might configure the security access to forms and functions of specific roles.
B) when implementing Proejct Resource Management, the project roles may be scheduled on a project and serve as a template for resource demand. In that case you might configure the team member role on a project, such as competencies, job information, and security.
You might want to review Oracle Projects Fundamentals and Projects Implementation Guide for more details.

How can I specified the aResourceId such that the roles of entire portal will
be retreived?

How can we change the functionality of Room Usage Analysis iview

Hi All,
I want to change the functionality of Room Usage Analysis iview. This iview shows all the Rooms with usage. However we get a hyper link with the Room Name. i want to delete that hyper link and make it as a simple text.
Where can I do the changes. Is it possible to get the code and change?

Customizing Link Lists (or Links List) iView

Our Links List iView holds large number of subfolders and links.
By default, the iView shows links and first level subfolders with their links and subfolders.
Otherwords second level subfolders are 'open'.
The problem is that because there are so many links, the iView height is not big enough to show first level links and folders (scrolling required).
Is there any way to set Links List iView so that it doesn't open second level folders unless users click on them?

You can use image map to navigate for km. But you can not do that you want. To do that you can modify this image map collection renderer.

Room Quick Poll iView ?

Dear all,
I'm trying to create a quick poll for a collaboration room. To do this (in EP 6.0.2.3.7) I need to set the campaign of the Rook Quick Poll iView. I found the standard Room Quick Poll iView and changed the campaign accordingly. Unfortunately, it was not the right iView. My question is:
Where do I find the Room Quick Poll iViews of my collaboration rooms?

Under Content Administration, go to Portal Content -> com.sap.ip.collaboration -> Template Content -> Generic -> iViews. There you will find Room Quick Poll.
