Root object not apparing in genil model browser

hi experts,
i am trying to create one new genil model. i followed below steps to create it.
1. create one new component, component set and assinged the component to component set.
2. created one new z class with CL_CRM_GENIL_ABSTR_COMPONENT as super class.
3. created one key structures, attribute strucutres as required.
4. created object table and model table and i created one entry in the object table for root object.
5. i added the entry in component basic settings in spro also with new component, class, object and model table.
the problem is when open execute my new component in genil_model_browser, i could not find my root object there. nothig was added there. did i miss any step or is there any mistake in my approach.
when i open s02 compoent in this transaction , i could see lot of root objects. but in above way , nothing was added . kindly help me.

You have to do the following
a) Modify the object table.
b) Modify the model table.
c) Implement the method    IF_GENIL_APPL_MODELGET_MODEL &   IF_GENIL_APPL_MODELGET_OBJECT_PROPS.Here you have to return the objects & models created earlier.

  • GenIL Model Attribute Structure not getting updated with new fields added

    Hi All,
    I have modelled the service interface using GenIL Modelling in Duet Enterprise 1.0. Later, I added some fields to the read operation in the Enterprise Services Builder in the ESR system.
    But in the Read Operation mapper method "/IWFND/IF_SRD_BOP_MAP_GET_OBJ~MAP_POST_GET_OBJECTS",  when I try to define an object of type GenIL model Attribute Structure (ZMDLZPRGET_DETAIL),  Iam unable to access the newly added fields in the read operation.
    In transaction " GENIL_MODEL_EDITOR ", under Root Objects, when I open the Attribute Structure name, only the old fields are available, newly added fields are not updated.
    But I was able to see the newly added fields in the READ OPERATION data types of Enterprise Services Browser in SE80.
    Please help me how to update the new fields for GenIL Model Attribute Structure(ZMDLZPRGET_DETAIL).
    Thanks,

  • Transaction to create root object in genil component.

    hi all ,
    may be it seems to be basic question. i am following one tutorial where they are creating one genil component. in order to create root object, they told to run the transaction GENIL_MODEL_EDITOR. but i couldnt find the this transaction in my system. is there any other transaction to create root objects for genil component in CRM. kindly help me.

    Hey praveen,
    If you dont use ehp1, there is no any transaction to create root object. you can fallow this [wiki|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CreateaZBOLObjectPart1] page.

  • "New root object" menu not available

    I'm using SJS Directory Server 5.2patch3 on Solaris 9, installed silently through state file and all seems to work fine (even if I don't understand why I have to repeat the installation more than one time since the first one doesn't create the proper directory structure inside the installation directory).
    Through the Server Console, I created then a new subfix (o=people,dc=my) with its individual database under the userRoot (dc=my) and now I'm trying to create a new root object under the configuration panel (o=people which would reference to the dedicated database created in the previous step). That menu option is not available, which appears a bit strange since I'm logged in as cn=Directory Manager, which should have the proper rights to complete this operation.
    The only solution would be to initialize the database through an LDIF file but I don't have a clue about all the attributes I should assign to that organization, acis ecc. It would be simpler to use the console; at least, I'm curious WHY the console doesn't allow to accomplish that step.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Fabio

    The "New Root Object" task only appears if you created a new suffix.
    Have you done a right-click on the server or on the "dc=my" entry?
    Tested this for you some minutes ago with DS5.2Patch3 on Solaris9/SPARC and it worked out fine.

  • GenIL: Application ACI - create root object ACIActionContext

    Hello.
    I need to know how to access the root object 'ACIActionContext' (within the component set ACI) for a given one-order object (guid). I did not find (or maybe oversaw) a corresponding relation ship between business transactions and actions.
    Many thanks and kind regards.

  • Child object as Root object - Locking issue

    Hi Folks,
    In the "MKTCPG" BOL object, there is a child object "MKTCondition". I find that "MKTCondition" is in turn a Root object in the Model browser.
    I could not lock this object "MKTCondition" for changing the entries. The lock method checks for the My Manager Entry to be locked before locking the current level object. This MKTCondition is maintained as a Root object and there is no Parent / Manager entry for this. So the lock method is not successful.
    Kindly let me know your comments regarding this...
    Regards,
    Karthi M R.

    Hi,
    Resolved at last.
    This lock and edit functionality is not as per the conventional approach for this BOL object. SAP has designed it in a different way through a GENIL service class and it was a very good exposure working in this object.
    Thank you.

  • Creating Genil Model

    Hi experts,
    at the moment i'm creating a new genil model. Therfore i am analysing the SAMPLE component in SAP.
    Now I want to create a new order (root) in genil_bol_browser - but I can't see a new entry in CRMD_ORDERADM_H (se16)?
    I checked the class CL_CRM_GENIL_SAMPLE_API to find out when the data will be inserted to the database. But I couldn't find the "insert".
    Do anybody know where I could find it and why I couldn't see a new entry in CRMD_ORDERADM_H?
    best regards
    Christian
    Edited by: blaxus on Aug 12, 2011 11:02 AM

    Hi blaxus
    The Sample Object will not create any data in CRMD-ORDERAD_H table , if you check the code within the Interaction layer class method IF_GENIL_APPL_INTLAY~CREATE_OBJECTS it will create only runtime genil container header object . The create functionality ends up with creating guid for the given Order type (say for example TSA).
    if you want to save the data then you have to call the relevant handler class with the method name create(you have to define it from the scratch with ORDER API functionlities  )
    Thanks & Regards

  • GenIL model generation and Table types

    When we run the GenIL model generation program, it generates ZMDL* structures for each Z* structures generated previously by SPROXY. But each element that is a Table type is skipped. So the GenIL model is incomplete and does not contain table elements.
    For exemaple, assuming the existing Z_QUERY_ELMTS structure generated by SPROXY:
    CONTROLLER          Types          PRXCTRLTAB
    W_SYSTEM                               Types          CHAR
    SELECTION_BY_NIIN                          Types          ZMATERIAL_BY_EL_QU_S_SEL_N_TAB
    SELECTION_BY_PART_NUM     Types          ZMATERIAL_BY_EL_QU_S_SEL_P_TAB
    DESCRIPTION          Types          ZSEARCH_TEXT     STRING
    EIAC               Types          ZEIACCODE     STRING
    the corresponding ZMDL structure is
    WEAPON_SYSTEM     Types     CHAR2                          CHAR
    DESCRIPTION     Types     ZMDLSEARCH_TEXT     STRING
    EIAC                          Types     ZMDLEIACCODE     STRING
    So every table type is skipped.
    Is it a limitation of the product? Or a missing functionanliy?
    Thanks in advance for your help

    By the way in the developer guide, it's also confusing:
    - Creation of root object, p.47
    Type Name: This is the data type which you retrieved above (ZSALES_ORDER_HEADER_DETAILS) u2013 the root attribute structure of the business object will be based on this structure. This structure has to completely define the attributes (payload) of your business object and typically matches with the response of the Read operation. Make sure this structure is u201Cflatu201D and does not contain any complex types or tables
    - But p.51
    Take a look at the attribute structure. It contains the list of all attributes of your business object derived from the structures of the server proxy. Also take a look a folder Relations, which contains relationships to dependent objects if your data structure is of a complex nature. In our example this folder is empty since the data structure is a flat one and therefore no relationship and no dependent object are required.

  • Applet does not get client certificate from browser (Firefox, IE7)

    I'm writing a web service which runs Tomcat through Apache. One critical requirement is that the service be able to invoke certain device drivers on the end user's machine. Fortunately, there is a Java API for this, so this requirement can be fulfilled using an applet.
    Here's the problem. This is a B2B application, so we're using SSL and requiring client authentication. I'm no web security guru, but I managed to get SSL set up through Apache (with a self-signed certificate for now; we'll get a real one from a real CA when we're ready to go to production). I also managed to set up client authentication by creating my own CA and generating a client certificate, which I then copied to my test client (Win XPSP2) and imported into both Firefox (2.0.0.15) and IE (6.0.2900). The applet is signed with a real certificate, and that causes no problems. And all of the pages for my web service work as expected.
    All except one. The page which is supposed to load the applet pops a dialog stating 'Identification required. Please select certificate to be used for authentication', and presents a list of zero certificates.
    Actually, I get this dialog in Firefox on my XPSP2 box, and also when I test on a Vista Home Premium box running IE 7.0.6000. Puzzlingly, this behavior does NOT occur on my XPSP2 box when running through IE 6.0. It seems that with XPSP2 and IE 6.0, the JVM can manage to obtain the required client certificate from the browser and pass it along to Apache, but the JVM can't do this when running in Firefox or in IE 7.0 on Vista.
    I have gone to the Java Control Panel and verified that the 'Use certificates and keys in browser keystore' option is selected on both boxes.
    I've done a fair amount of research for this (including in this forum) and see that this appears to be a chronic difficulty with applets. What makes it worse is that I don't think I can use the standard workaround, which is to download the applet from a different host/virtual host, because the applet needs to communicate with the web service. Since we have the additional layer of Tomcat container-managed user authentication, the applet needs to be communicating with the server using the same session token as everything else.
    So at this point, I'm stuck. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Two thoughts (I'm reaching at straws here):
    1) I have the certificate imported in both Firefox and IE as a 'personal' certificate. Is there someplace else I can put it so the JVM will know how to find it? A rather old thread in this forum mentioned something about setting properties in the Java Control Panel, but I see no place in the JCP to specify such properties, so I'm guessing that solution is no longer operative.
    2) I'm using a trick I found on the internet to make the applet load cleanly with both Firefox and IE, namely, I'm using the <OBJECT> tag to specify the applet class and codebase for IE, and then using <COMMENT><EMBED ... /></COMMENT> within the <OBJECT> declaration to specify the information for Firefox. Is there some other way of doing the markup that will give the JVM a hint that it should get a certificate from the browser?
    BTW . . . I would hate to drop support for Firefox, but if someone has an IE-only solution, I'll take it. Unfortunately, I reckon a Firefox-only solution would not fly.
    Thanks all.

    My applet is also signed by a valid certificate. The question of whether the applet is signed/self-signed/unsigned >isn't an issue --- I just wanted you to make sure the Applet runs because it is a know valid Java2 Applet that is 100% signed properly and verified to run.
    This eliminates the possibility that it is a JVM issue. However after reading your message further I am afraid
    it is not relevant to your issue.
    due to the client authentication, my browser (Firefox, IE7) refuses to even download the applet.
    I went to your site, and I can see your applet in both Firefox and IE6. However, I don't believe your site is set up >quite like mine, because it appears I can run your applet whether I have imported your X509 certificate or not. What I >did was:If that is true we are all dead :) No I think you just missed the cert in the IE databse. It doesn't have to be in the
    Applet database to function. Surprise!
    Check your IE/tools/internet options/content tab/certificates/trusted root certification authorities.
    I then opened the Java control panel and verified that the certificate isn't listed there, either. So unless the certificate >is being cached/read from some other location (which could be, this certificate stuff is largely black magic to me), >then your server isn't requiring client authentication, either accidentally or by design.No HyperView is a valid java2 Applet and actually writes to a file "hyperview.dat" though it is probably empty.
    If you click on a component in the view and then on the view and type "dumpgobs" it shoud write out some data about the current graphics objects so you can see it has complete read/write access..
    Further it opens up a complete NIO server ands starts listening for connections on a random port
    (Echoed in your java console) You can connect to it with telnet and watch impressive ping messages all day :)
    This all goes back to a few years BTW back before there was a plugin and there was only Netscape & IE.
    There are actually 2 certificate databases and what loads where depends on which type of cert you are using. Now self signed or not doesn't matter but what does matter is the type of certificate. IE: is it RSA/DSA/Sha1
    etc. The Netscape DB was a Berkley DB and MS used whatever they use. The Cert is a DSA/Sha1 cert
    which I like the best ATM as it (X fingers it stays so) always has worked.
    Sadly that tidbit doesn't help you either I am afraid.
    What I'm trying to do is require client authentication through Apache by including the following markup in a virtual >host definition:
    SSLCACertificateFile D:/Certificates/ca.crt
    SSLVerifyClient require
    SSLVerifyDepth 1You got me there I avoid markup at all costs and only code in C java and assembler :)
    Now unless I am wrong I think you are saying that you want the Applet to push the certificate to the server
    automatically and I don't think this happens. Least I have never heard of this happening from an Applet automatically.
    On my client machine, I have a certificate which was generated using OpenSSL and the ca.crt file listed. Testing >shows that the server is requiring a certificate from the client, and the web browser is always providing it.
    The problem is that when the browser fires up the Java plugin to run an applet, there is not sufficient communication >between the browser and the plugin so that the plugin can obtain the certificate from the browser and provide it to >the server.
    So the server refuses to send the applet bytecode to the JVM, and we're stuck.In terms of implementation ease I think you may have the cart before the horse because I think it would be far easier to run an Applet in the first place to do the authentication, and then send, for example, a jar file to bootstrap and run
    (or some classes) in the event the connection is valid. Then again one never knows it all and there may be some classes which enables the plugin as you wish. I have never heard of this being done with the plugin the way you suggest.
    I am thinking maybe there is another method of doing this I do not know.
    Did you try pushing the cert via JavaScript/LIveConnect?? That way it could run before the Applet and do the authentication.
    Maybe someone else has other ideas; did you try the security forum??
    Sorry but I am afraid that is not much help.
    I did snarf this tidbit which may have some relevance
    The current fix for this bug in Mantis and 1.4.1_02 is using JSSE API, Here are the step:
    In Java control panel, Advanced tab -> Java Runtime Parameters, specify:
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=<name and path to client keystore file>
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=<password to access this client keystore file>
    If it is a PKCS12 format keystore, specify:
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS12
    In our future JRE release 1.5, we will create our own client authentication keystore file for JPI and use that for client authentication, for detail info, please see RFE 4797512.

  • How to add  z object to root object in BOL

    hi,
    I have to add my z object to BuilStandardAddress (standard object for BP Address ).I hav created a external object by using ztable.I can see that object in transaction GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER as a Root Object but I hav to add this object as dependent object under BuilStandardAddress .
    Please suggest any possible solution for this.
    Thanks in Advance.

    hi carsten,
    Thanks a lot for reply.
    Acc to my opinion there is 2 method first one is enhance standard implementaion class.
    second one is to use this class.CL_CRM_GENIL_GEN_TABLE_OBJ
    I opt. second mehtod:
    Actually ,Our requirement is that we hav to add some custom  fields in addresss view.If weadd custom fields through EEWB then it adds fields to builheader rather then standard address.To achieve this I have created a external object and assign a impleimentation class (CL_CRM_GENIL_GEN_TABLE_OBJ). after this I hav define Object defination in which I define this object as dependent object of builstandardaddress.and give my z table name.After that I hav define Model defination in which i hav define relationship.By doing this I am able to use my object in view.Now I added this z attribute to the standardaddress node of standaddress view of component BP_ADDR.
    Now, I can see this field on UI screen but My Implementation Class has some methods(like modify, Save )that will save the data in z table.these methods are not calling at runtime.
    Plz suggest any solution

  • BACKGROUND PROCESSING, REPORT NOT LOADING, "OBJECT NOT SET TO INSTANCE..."

    Post Author: thecoffeemachine
    CA Forum: .NET
    I already posted this message in other Web sites, but I am almost getting crazy here and I need help:
    HI:
    The Web application I am testing was having several issues related to loading Crystal Reports. It was fixed and I do not know which of the 1000 things I did to fix it; but now it began, again, to have the same behavior after I had a conflict with another Web site that was in the same server.
    The thing is that I had another virtual directory where resided a copy of the same Web app. for testing purposes/working with the Visual Studio. The reports were loading all fine, very fast, all perfect... And suddenly the assemblies of one Web site and the other began to "blend" together and..... well the same behaviors appeared again. I tried to copy the last stable backup and rebuild the Web app... but it did not work.
    At the very first time that one requests the report, it shows without problem. At the second time it shows an error message related to "cannot submit to background processing", and sometimes "object not set to an instance.." ... and on the third time it just never shows up and the app. becomes unresponsive. I have to close the window and request the Web site again in another browser window. If I wish to see the report again I have to wait for hours until it shows it.
    I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the Crystal Report version that was shipped with that Visual Studio version. I am working with Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000. Below is the VB code:
        Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load             Me.SqlConnection1.Open()
           Me.SqlSelectCommand1.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD")         Me.SqlSelectCommandReferences.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD")         Me.SqlSelectCommandTextbook.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD")         Me.SqlSelectCommandObjectives.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD")         Me.SqlSelectCommandTopicData.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD") Me.SqlSelectCommandCourseOutcomes.Parameters("@CourseCode").Value = Request.QueryString("CD")
            Me.SqlDataAdapterMainData.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseSyllabusData")         Me.SqlDataAdapterReferences.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseReferenceData")         Me.SqlDataAdapterTextBook.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseTextbookData")         Me.SqlDataAdapterObjectives.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseObjectivesData")         Me.SqlDataAdapterTopicData.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseTopicData")
    Me.SqlDataAdapterCourseOutcomes.Fill(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1, "procWebSelectCourseOutcomes")
            Dim myExportOptions As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportOptions         Dim myDiskFileOptions As CrystalDecisions.Shared.DiskFileDestinationOptions         Dim myExportFile As String         Dim myReport As New ABETFormat         myReport.SetDataSource(Me.DtsSyllabusCompleteData1)
            myExportFile = "C:UNTempPDF" & Session.SessionID.ToString & ".pdf"         myDiskFileOptions = New CrystalDecisions.Shared.DiskFileDestinationOptions         myDiskFileOptions.DiskFileName = myExportFile         myExportOptions = myReport.ExportOptions
            With myExportOptions             .DestinationOptions = myDiskFileOptions             .ExportDestinationType = .ExportDestinationType.DiskFile             .ExportFormatType = .ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat         End With
            myReport.Export()
            Response.ClearContent()         Response.ClearHeaders()         Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"
            Response.WriteFile(myExportFile)         Response.Flush()         Response.Close()         System.IO.File.Delete(myExportFile)         Me.SqlConnection1.Close()
        End Sub
    I already have tried moving the Crystal Reports dll´s to the bin directory. ..... I have tried calling the Garbage Collector at page unload...I also have checked, inside the report, that the database is "up to date"... ... recycling the worker process of the IIS... etc...
    I see that, in debbuging mode inside the Visual Studio, when the page loads the debbuging window shows a message notifying that the symbols related to the Crystal Reports dll's could not be loaded.
    Should I need to modify the default properties of the database? I checked "database is case insensitive", "use indexes or server for speed".. I have tried checking and unchecking the box "performing grouping on server"
    Oh by the way, my report has about 4 subreports in it. Each report loaded shows 1 or 2 pages.
    ANY HELP WILL BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED....

  • PI 7.0 JMS Rcv Adapter: Object not found in lookup of XIJMSService

    Hi all,
    When sending messages to an JMS queue, JNDI setup, in the Message Monitoring we get  the error:
    "MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Object not found in lookup of XIJMSService.: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of XIJMSService."
    The Error points to the Module Processor. Indeed the 2 default Modules are used:
    - SAP XI JMS Adapter/ConvertMessageToBinary
    - SAP XI JMS Adapter/SendBinarytoXIJMSService
    This second Module contains 'XIJMSService', and according the documentation (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/Helpdata/EN/4d/a3bc97ff55c742af7faed661635baf/content.htm)
    , it uses a parameter named 'modulePoolAdminLookupName' with the default value: /XIJMSService.
    This is how far we get. Even when we assign a different value to the parameter 'modulePoolAdminLookupName' , the error in the Message Monitoring stays the same.
    Has anyone experience with this issue, or any ideas to investigate or solve this?
    Thanx in advance, Walter.

    Hi all,
    Issue is solved. Apparently the Java-version on our XI-server (1.4.2) could not handle the Vendor's JMS-driver we installed (ActiveMQ 4.1.2.jar) so we tried using the ActiveMQ 4.1.0.jar as the JMS-driver. Now it is OK and message are put on the destination queue.

  • Custom Table Editor: values are not populated to the model

    H,
    I wrote a custom table renderer which uses JComboBox + editor, which seem to work (after editing, the displayed cell reflects the change) but after editing the table manually, the model is not altered when i call table.getModel();
    The editor part is as simple as
      class MPComboBoxEditor extends DefaultCellEditor {

            public MPComboBoxEditor(JComboBox b) {
                super(b);

        private DefaultTableCellRenderer rend = new DefaultTableCellRenderer();

            this.c = c;
            this.table = table;
         * Set this renderer to the given column

            } else {
                return o;
        }Do i need to override some setValueAt method in the editor/renderer or something?
    Thanks one more time!
    Regards,
    Andreas

    I don't see any getModel() in your code extract. If the renderer renders it right after edition, then the value is probably correct in the model.
    Also, remember [this thread|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5396048], where it appeared you were not clear about which model you were looking at.
    Do i need to override some setValueAt method in the editor/renderer or something?No. But have you overridden the model's setValueAt?

  • Error : OBJECT NOT SENT

    Hi Experts,
    I am new to ABAP..
    I am facing one dump with the message "OBJECT NOT SENT"  working with User Exit only in Production Server.
    Kindly help.

    Hi ..
    Here it is...
    ABAP runtime errors    RAISE_EXCEPTION
           Occurred on     07.02.2007 at 10:55:17
    >> Short dump has not been completely stored. It is too big.
    Exception condition "OBJECT_NOT_SENT" raised.
    What happened?
    The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
    situation.
    What can you do?
    Note the actions and input that caused the error.
    Inform your SAP system administrator.
    You can print out this message by choosing "Print". Transaction ST22
    allows you to display and manage termination messages, including keeping
    them beyond their normal deletion date.
    Error analysis
    A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSOA2 " raised the exception
    condition "OBJECT_NOT_SENT".
    Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program
    in the hierarchy, processing was terminated.
    Short description of exception condition:
    Object was not sent
    For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
    Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
    function module from the display of active calls.
    How to correct the error
    If the error occurred in a non-modified SAP program, you may be
    able to find a solution in the SAP note system.
    If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following
    search criteria:
    "RAISE_EXCEPTION"
    "SAPLSOA2 " or "LSOA2U01 "
    "SO_OBJECT_SEND"
    or
    "SAPLSOA2 " "OBJECT_NOT_SENT"
    or
    "SAPMV45A " "OBJECT_NOT_SENT"
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
       To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
       To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
       and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
       To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
       print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
       or which actions and input led to the error.
