Root pass and key layout problems

Hello. There are two problems. The first is that when I use 'sudo' in terminal it is accept only my normal user password, not root??? Some programs like Shaman require root password.
And the second problem - my layout. I have 'us' and 'ru' layouts. It is working by click to keyboard indicator, but when I press Alt+Shift, both Alt's or Win key (there is my config) is nothing happens. I have only original EN locale - maybe the problem is it?

I was having problems with E17 after a fresh install (mixer problem, key bindings, etc), and I fixed it by deleting the configuration files at
~/.e
as the wiki says.

[E17] lock and keyboard layout problems when suspend

Hello,
I just installed E17 on my Dell Vostro laptop. The main problem I have is related to the suspend mode.
In settings > screen > screen lock, I enabled the option "lock on suspend" and the keyboard layout is selected to "be (default, basic)" (I have a belgian keyboard).
When I use the menu system > suspend, the screen is locked. But when I suspend my laptop by closing the lid (I see the power light indicator blinking on the side, so it's suspended) the screen is not locked when I open it.
Also related to the suspend mode. The layout is set to belgian (in the screen config as explained above but also in vconsole.conf and in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-keyboard.conf). When I put the luks decryption key or when E17 starts at boot, I have the right layout. However when I resume the laptop after being suspended, the layout is switched to qwerty (en_us I guess).
Any idea why ?

PS: this problem is maybe more related to E17 than to Archlinux but I haven't found any forum about enlightenment. If you think I have better chances somewhere else, let me know.

Yet Another Key Layout Problem with Xorg7

I've read the wiki and forums, yet I haven't managed to get @-sign nor |-sign working with my finnish keyboard. Both need the compose key. Any pointers to relevant info or suggestions how to remedy this are most welcomed!

I tried if regenerating the file with xorgconfig would help. It didn't. I'm still missing AltGr functionality even if I do have:

Passing and Retrieving parameters problem...

Hello,
I am very green to Oracle forms builder. I have a multi-form application that I am trying to create a parameter list for on the first form and pass that parameter to a second form via the OPEN_FORM method. I am able to create the parameter, I set a runtime breakpoint and ran the form and verified that the correct value is there. I can then call the second form using the CALL_FORM('form_name',ACTIVATE,NO-HIDE,'params_list_name'). Once the second form pulls up how do I verify that the parameter is indeed there and how do I access that parameter.
The project I am working on is a simple log in screen where a user would enter his or her ID and Password/Pin, this is the first form. The trigger on the "log in" button verifies that the user entered the correct information and calls the next form. I am assuming that passing a parameters list is the most effecient way to do this. I would like to pass the UserID to the second form and use it in the WHERE clause of a SQL expression in order to show the user his or her personal data. Do I need to create a PRE_FORM trigger on the second form to accept the passed parameters list?
Any help would be much appreciated.

on your second form, on object navigator's parameter node, create the parameters having the same names you defined in your first form. then
you can use it as :PARAMETER.your_param_name anywhere in the second form.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Problem uploading web content (Templates) developed in DW CS6 and Liquid layouts

Hi
I have developed some templates in Dreamweaver CS6 and Liquid Layouts
However when I want to preview them in a browser, they come out blank (No Data at all)
I have tried this without Liquid and works fine, minor bugs that can be fixed like background image not visible
It seems the problem its at the BC system

The pop ups are malware. It's not necessary to reinstall Safari.

Key.getCode() problems on PC and published .exe, .swf and .app

Hi!
I have a kind of unusual problem... Im building a prototype for a UI wich you can navigate around in. And we use a mockup-prototype-model with a numeric keyboard built in and connected trough USB to fetch keypresses and use that as a joystick to navigate around and get a feeling how it would feel like to navigate around using a joystick in your hands.
The problem is that it sends kind of unusual keypresses from the joystick.
Everything works fine when I test the movie in Flash CS5 on a mac (cmd + enter). But not on a PC or in all of the published modes (.exe, .swf or .app).
The codes I use in my if statements to navigate that doesnt work is:
Key.getCode() == 188, Key.getCode() == 74 and Key.getCode() == 54
Today I use a double setup of keys so that I can use my keyboard on the computer as a backup to navigate around. And those keypresses works fine without problems. It is just those three (188, 74 and 54) that doesnt work.

I have made sure that flash has focus when ive tried this. But it is so odd that it works when I test the movie but not when I run it on a PC or in any of the published applications...

Think ive solved it!
It seems like the PC recieves different signals from the input device in published mode then on the mac... so I had to trace them out in debugmode one by one and got different signals. So now it works!

X61 problem with maintaining Taskbar and Desktop layout

My X61 (WinXP) just doesn't seem to be able to save the Taskbar and Desktop layout / settings. It defaults to the Windows default and won't save the layout I set. I noticed that the registry has several entries that show "**del.NoSave Settings". Any idea where this came from and how to disable the source program that created it. Can I simply delete it from the Registry using RegEdit to recover the laptop abillity to save its Screen and Taskbar setting?

Not sure if I understand what you mean by "restricted computer with policies". I do have administrator rights so changing group policies is possible. Any suggestion as to which polcies might be preventing the saving of the taskbar and desktop layout saves? Thanks for responding.

JSSE Client and server communication problem .err:untrusted server cert

Hai all,
I am trying to communicate JSSE client and server.
I have created root.cert(CA),root.key,server.cert,server.key , client.cert and client.key. All these certificates are created using openssl.
I have placed root.cert in default keystore cacerts.
I have created a keystores(server & client) name mykeystore.
I have placed root.cert and client.cert in the client keystore.
I have placed root.cert and server.cert in the server keystore.
But during the run time i am getting javax.net.ssl.SSLException: untrusted server cert chain.
please suggest the modifications needs to be done to fix the error.
please tell me In the client keystore and in the server keystore....what certificates we need to put?
whether my approach as said above is correct or not?
In java code how to specify this particular certificate we are referring?

Hi prasad,
There will be a problem with the certificates being received from thr remote server or client. Check that your trust store contains the certificate of the remote machine or the CA that signed it and that the certificate has not expired.
Also be sure that both machines are using the latest version of the JSSE.

How to Create Instances in the Transient Root Node and Sub Nodes from Root Node Query Method ?

using Root Node I have created Search UIBB Configuration in FBI.
In testing -- > when i enter Data in the Search Criteria Fields am able to get the details in to the query method
from Imporing parameter : 'IT_SELECTION_PARAMETERS'.
HERE I am fetching data from a standard table and trying to fill the data in the Node : 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT'.
How to Append data to the Sub node 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT' when there is no Node instance created in the ROOT Node ?
For This I have created an instance in the ROOT Node and Using that I tried to create Instance in the Sub Node 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT'.

I am Unable to set data to the Node . I did not get any error message or Dump while executing . when i tried to retrive data I got the details from the node but am unable to view those details in the FBI UI and BOBT UI while testing .

Hi Kranthi,
For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
To create Instance while search.
Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
To Move data from ROOT to Result.
Create a action at root node.
Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

Custom Trust and Key Store

Hello, I've successfully configured the Custom Trust and Key Store on one server (hosting OpenSSO,) but when I follow the exact same directions to configure the Custom Trust and Key Store on another server (hosting Identity Manager with OpenSSO policy agent) WebLogic pre-empts my configuration by loading the DemoTrust.jks and cacerts keystores. I think the issue is introduced because the OpenSSO policy agent requires an Authentication Provider (Agent_Authenticator, com.sun.identity.agents.weblogic.v10.AmWLAuthProvider) that is loaded before the WebLogic domain's config/config.xml file, which contains the Custom Trust and Key Store entities.

The root problem is the Certicom SSL does not support SHA256 algorithm, which is required with the trusted certificates of “ttelesecglobalrootclass2ca" and "ttelesecglobalrootclass3ca"
A fix is included in JDK 1.6.0_13 wherein WLS just ignores these certificates.

You can delete these certificates yourself using the keytool utility..Thank you. I removed them all, but WebLogic still loads the Demo and JDK keystores and not the custom keystores before loading the security realm.
Is there a way to specify the KeyStores for the security realm?
I've provided the following to the JVM but to no avail:
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=/export/home/weblogic/keystore/keystore.jks -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=jks -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore

English + different language key layout/texts

Hello!
Could a kind soul please help me get directions to solve my problems with locale, keyboard layout, and font display? Here's what I'm trying to accomplish.
System talks to me in English
Date and time is in the international format (YMD)
I can fully use my Czech keyboard, with all its silly ěščřžýáíéúů diacritics
I can then actually see the nonsense I write properly rendered in the terminal, using a nice to look at font, if possible. (I'm gonna be stuck staring at the terminal for a long time, after all)
The terminal can also show me other language weirdness (namely, the Hungarian őű and Japanese(optional wishful thinking))
How would I go about achieving this?
Right now, I have a fresh Arch install with the only change so far being a completely cs_CZ.UTF-8 locale.
Diacritics don't show properly and the keyboard is still i the default layout (some English?).
I edited out cs_CZ.UTF-8, en_GB.UTF-8, hu_HU.UTF-8, and ja_JP.UTF-8 in /etc/locale.gen; executed locale-gen; created locale.conf with echo.
I obviously missed changing /etc/vconsole.conf. But what should I change KEYMAP and FONT to fit my wishes outlined above?
Do I also need to use loadkeys, which I ignored during install because I installed with default key layout in English?
Where would I found out the differences between, say, LC_COLLATE="C" and LC_COLLATE="cs_CZ.UTF-8"?
Does the ability to write and properly display diacritics actually have any ties to the locale settings?

Keep in mind that the above only applies to the system console. Once you're in X (your desktop; note that a terminal emulator uses X for input), you can use XKB to configure your keyboard. See http://www.x.org/archive/X11R7.5/doc/in … onfig.html, specifically

Of course, this will depend on your input device and your desired alphabets, but you may find an X configuration similar to this one works for you. If you have a physical Czech keyboard, you could setup X to use the Czech alphabet for it, and English for other input devices, using xkbcomp. If not, you can use a toggle key or a compose key.
