RosettaNet Document over AS2
Hello,
Our Partners are sending RosettaNet PIPS . Currently they are sending it as EzComm. we are in process of migrating it to Oracle b2b. My question how it can be migrated to Oracle b2b. Do I need to create RosettaNet document equivalent to EzComm documents & make AS2 as channel .
Thanks for your reply.
I did created RosettaNet documents & used AS2 as exchange protocol. After sending them , receiver partner is throwing document protocol identification error. I did set AS2 identifiers in it too.
If this gets Xferred over RNIF , it works as it takes document information from XML . However same XML over AS2 is failing , more i think because it just passes XML without idenifying document type definitions from it.
Do we need to set additional identifiers to determine doument type & versions? If so where can we set them?

TP Agreement Not Found -- OAGIS XML document over AS2
Hi,
I am getting TP Agreement not found error while receiving OAGIS XML document over AS2. Below is error message.
Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP SOALocal, ToTP Powell with document type PROCESS_INVOICE_002-null-INBOUND
I am not sure why it says null-INBOUND. It appears like it is not able to identify Document Version. DOCTYPE_REVISION=7.2.1 is being passed in the AS2 transport headers but still it does not recognize the version.
I am not sure what is missing. Please give some ideas hints.

Receiving Custom XML Document over AS2 (HTTPS) - Inbound Processing
Hi All,
Need help in Receiving Custom XML Document over AS2 (HTTPS) - Inbound Processing
External Trading Partner will be able to post the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver.
Here is the process flow:
1. External Trading Partner will be posting the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver
2. B2B, consumes the Custom XML validates as per the XSD and process it.
3. How to send the ACK back to External Trading Partner if it validates successfully and sent it to 'IP_IN_QUEUE'
4. How to send the ACK back to External Trading Partner if the validation fails after receiving the XML document.
5. Does the External Trading Partner require any certificates to post the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver (no need of encryption/decryption)?
6. How to enable the B2B server to accept the HTTPS messages from the Trading Partner (no need of encryption/decryption).
Please let me know. Thanks In Advance.
Regards,
AmirineniHi Nandu, Ramesh,
We have done the set-ups for transmitting a Custom XML Document over HTTP1.1 in B2B.
Our Business Case is as follows:
1. Read the Flat File using BPEL File Adapter
2. Transform the Message in BPEL and send it to B2B
2. Based on the set-ups in B2B, we need to post the XML message to the folliwng URL:-
http://databridge.buy.datastream.net:5555/invoke/dsImport/receiveXML
In the B2B Set-Ups, I have done the following:
Business Protocol name: Custom Document over Internet
Exchange Protocol: AS
Document Protocol: Custom
Transport Protocol: HTTP-1.1
Host name : http://databridge.buy.datastream.net
Port: 5555
I have also deployed the agreement as well as the configuration. The issue that I am currently facing is when I select the configuration in WSIL browser in JDeveloper, I am getting the following error:
"Unable to get schema information for target".
Hence I am not able to map the message in BPEL and send it to B2B.
Could you please let me know the possible causes and if I am missing anything in the set-ups in B2B.
As always, your help and guidance is highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi All,
We are planning to send Custom XML Document over HTTP(AS2) to the Remote Trading Partner. The XML Document needs to be posted to a particular URL in the Remote Trading Partner Site. Here is the process flow:
1. The input application format file having the messages will be transformed to an XML message in BPEL.
2. Then as per the set-ups done in B2B, this particular XML message needs to be posted to a URL.
I went through the B2B User's Guide but could not find any documentation on how to set up Custom XML Document over HTTP(AS2).
Could you please share the documents/technical notes or link which I can refer to do the set-ups in B2B.
Please let me know. Thanks In Advance.

Custom document over internet encoding
Hi all!
While trying to send a custom document over AS2, the payload encoding seems to be dependent on signing and encription:
If the message is unencrypted and unsigned -- Payload is UTF-8
If the message is 3DES encrypted OR signed OR both signed and encrypted -- Payload is windows-1251 (our B2B installed on windows server 2003, regional settings = russia)
i have already tried to insert oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.encoding=UTF-8 line in tip.properties, but it doesnt seem to help me.
The problem is: Trading partner expects UTF-8 messages. So when sent in windows-1251, the russian characters are misinterpreted.
If anyone already faced this problem, please help. Thanks.
Alex.Hi,
I used to get "Unable to identify the trading partner agreemen" due to below reasions,
1. Agreement is not deployed properly. Please check whether deployed agreement is in active state.
2. While creating the Operational Capability, please check whether initiator and responder defined correctly.
For Outbound, Please check Remote trading partner Is Initiator should be false and Host trading partner Is Initiator should be true.
As far as I know, File name convention should be folllowed for FTP/File and not for HTTP. -
Receiving PDF files over AS2 in 11g
Hi,
We are in the process of setting up Oracle B2B for EDI transmissions.
For one of the trading partners we have successfully set up ASN over AS2.
Doc Protocol - OAG
Document Type - SHOW_SHIPMENT_005
Once the partner receives the ASN, they send the shipping labels back in PDF format over AS2.
A custom document type has been defined in B2B for document identification and that seems to be working fine.
But when the document is downloaded to a folder it always appears to be blank.
Is this the right way to receive PDF (binary) files in B2B.
TIA,Oracle B2B can send binary files over AS2 but can not receive a binary document over AS2. You may use FILE/FTP/SFTP for such requirement. Raise an enhancement request with Product Development if you have a strong use case.
You may also receive the binary content in a XML wrapped in CDATA tag at Oracle B2B, so I think this can be one of the considerable approach.
Regrads,
Anuj -
Receiving document with AS2 over http
In Oracle B2B if I have to receive the document with AS2 over http, what can be the URL? The fusion server is running in a linux server. There is a folder in that server where we can preserve the incoming files for further processing.
Hi Anuj,
The solution you have provided work, in the sense that the b2b server is receiving the file.
But after the receipt I am seeing two errors, the sender is sending a text file, with the name xxxx.txt.
The errors are:

IDoc flat file over AS2 adapter to IDoc adapter
Hi,
The scenario is IDoc flat file(.txt) over AS2 adapter to IDoc adapter. Could anyone help on how to convert the IDoc flat file to xml in AS2 adapter to execute the mapping further? we are using PI 7.0.
Thanks in advance!
-zameerHi,
Since you are on Pi 7.0, you would not be able to use the modules for this in PI 7.1.
You would need to refer this document for converting from Idoc flat to XML
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/46759682-0401-0010-1791-bd1972bc0b8a?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
In your sender AS2 adapter, you can pass the file as is to an abap mapping which will do the conversion to Idoc xml. the output of the abap mapping goes to your message mapping then for conversion.
Another option would be to use a custom adapter module in the sender AS2 adapter to call the Aabap mapping to do the conversion into Idoc xml.
The custom adapter module would do a JCO/RFC call which will do the conversion before passing the data back to the adpter module.

OAG 7.x XML messages over AS2
Hi All,
Need some help for the below issue.
We will be receiving OAG Xml messages over AS2 from our trading partners. I have setup the Trading partner Agreement but the message is not picking any agreement. I believe we need to set the below fields in the Document Definition.
Identification Expression (XPath)
Identification Value
I have tried different values for these fields but it is not working. Could someone please suggest if you have done this and how you handled this. Or someone please throw some idea for me to try another approach.
Thanks
Ismail. Here is the XML Payload. Sorry it is a big payload. I am not getting any error when I upload the message to AS2. In B2B it shows the message received but the sender fields are blank.
I used below values in the Document definition.
Identification Expression (XPath) ==> //*[local-name()='TASK']/text()
Identification Value ==> POISSUE
The task element is 10 - 12 lines below in the paylod under SENDER.

we have a business case where a flat file needs to be transfered over AS2 to Trading partner, we followed the below mention steps but the file is not getting polled
use case: BPEL generated an txt file on SOA server, we need a TPA that polls the file and send the file over AS2 to the third party.
Steps followed:
1) Created a custom document defination to uniquly identify the file
2) Created the Tarading partner
3)Created the TPA
4) Associated the custome Document defination to the TPA
5) Configured the chancel as AS2
Noticed that the files were not getting transfered from SOA server. What can be the potential issue? I suspect that the TPA is not aware of the File location and it's not able to poll the fileHi Anuj,
I see that the file is picked up and the data is present in B2b_APP_Message table and i also see the below error in log files. All i need now is to send the data that has been picked up by IDC to Third party system using AS2, Please note that the transaction is outbound and not inbound to b2b.

Receiving document with AS2(HTTP)
Hi B2B Gurus,
I have to receive EDI document with AS2 over http(Inbound Operation). I am using the URL : http://<host>:<port>/b2b/httpReceiver ,which is a default HTTP listener of Oracle B2B. I just configured a Generic File channel under the Host trading partner which will writa data to a folder for further processing. I am using Http Post method to send data to the URL.
Problem:
when i successfully send data to the B2B listener server , for the first time B2B throws error like : Document Protocol Identification error and again it shows Message state completed and successfully processed other process.
This is confusing like : first time it throws error and at the same it works perfectly.
Error Report :
==========

Message_Complete ========997============Arg_997 ==========Local =====EDI
Message_Error==================================================EDI
Message_Complete========850=============Arg_850==========EDI======Local
This type of Report is showing, when i send data to the B2B httpReceiver.
Any suggestion would be helpful to me.
Thanks
Sharmistha

I used to get "Unable to identify the trading partner agreemen" due to below reasions,
1. Agreement is not deployed properly. Please check whether deployed agreement is in active state.
2. While creating the Operational Capability, please check whether initiator and responder defined correctly.
For Outbound, Please check Remote trading partner Is Initiator should be false and Host trading partner Is Initiator should be true.
As far as I know, File name convention should be folllowed for FTP/File and not for HTTP. -
Message Tracking for Rosettanet Documents
What are the Options of Message tracking avaialble for Rosettanet documents, I heard from Seeburger that they provide a out of box message tracking tool that we can use if we use one of thier adaptors.
Does SAP Rosettafnet Adaptor also have such features. Currently we use SAP PI very minimally and we are trying to understand if we can extend it's functionality
I am aware of the following options of Message tracking in SAP PI
Runtime Workbench
SXMB_MONI
Are there any other options avaialble?
Thanks for your response

Validation for Custom document over internet -Protocol
Hi all,
Could you please help me , what to configure in B2B
In protocols tab while configuring custom document over internet , do we need to swithc ON the validation or its SWITCH OFF the validation.
For both inbound and outbound transactions(PROCES PO, Change PO, Invoice, Acknowledge PO)
Regards
CNUHi CNU,
If your use case requires validation of incoming and outgoing documents, then you have to set the "Validation Enabled" to "Yes" in the doc definition and have to provide the XSD's/ecs against which validation should be done. If your use case does not ask for validation, then simply set the "Validation Enabled" to "No" and go ahead with the configuration.

Anuj
