Rotate at opening?

My rotate sensor on my Nikon D200 is not working so my pictures have to be rotated one by one. I wrote an action but I still have to Ctrl+Tap to cicle throug the pictures then run the action each time.
I have to rotate only up to 5 pictures at a time.
Need a script that rotates a jpg CCW when each jpg is opened in PSCS.

It easy to rotate every image ccw you can do that with an action or a script and have Photoshop execute the action or script for the open event using the event manager.  I do no believe this is what you need.  You only want  rotate Portrait image CCW or CW  for the two possible landscape positions thery are currently in.  A script would need to be find out the actual image's orientation.  If the camera is not recording the orientation properly I don't think that is possible.  If the camera was recording the orientation correctly you would not need anything.  To rotate an image to the proper orientation you would need a program to annalize the image contents looking for objects like  buildings faces trees to be able to do the proper rotate if needed.

  • Bring Back "Apply Rotation"

It appears we have the old 2 steps forward, 1 back scenario with image rotation. If you rotate an image in bridge it only rotates the preview. Yes if you open this image in Photoshop CS2 it will be rotated and will stay that way when you save it, but if you want to rotate a bunch of digital camera images to their visual orientation you will have to first rotate then open and save. Also if you try to import this "rotated" image into Indesign it is still in its original orentation till you open and save it.
We have also "lost" the feature that would indicate (small blue half arrow circle in bottom right) if an image was previewing rotated from the base hires data.
So with all this gone, why rotate at all, you cannot import in this state into Indesign, or Illustrator, and you cannot apply so don't do it unless you are going to open and save from photoshop right away.
    Cheers.

    Hi,
To change the background and color in Office 2013, in any Office Application, we can go to FILE -> Options -> General -> Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office, select Office Theme -> OK.
It's true the fact is we only have White, Light Gray and Dark Gray in Office 2013, which is complained about by some of our customers. I feel really sorry if this has brought you any inconvenience. So far I haven't heard whether more colors will be added
to Office 2013, but please be assured that any improvements in the product are based on users' requirements. Our developers strive to capture Microsoft users' ideas and are working hard to create a more powerful and easy-to-use product.

  • How do you rotate text in numbers

I'm trying to rotate the text in header row by 90 degrees.  Is this possible in Numbers?

You cannot rotate text in any cell of a table.  There are a variety of technoques to work around this limitation:
    1) rotate a text box with the header text in it:
    2) copy the desired header text (which is rotated) then open Preview and create a new document from the clipboard.  Then use the rectangular selection tool to surround one word, then copy, then paste that into one of the cells in you header:
Create new Preview doc from the clipboard contents:
Now copy words out of preview using the rectangular selection tool:
    copy.
now select the cell where you want this text:
There are some other ways (which you can find by searching this forum).
    Hope these help

  • Auto-rotation

How do I turn off auto-rotation when opening a file? Photoshop Elements 9.

It doesn not auto-rotate on its own. It reads from the image metadata and based on orientation opens it. Are you seeing with all the images. How do you see them in Paint or other image viewing apps? How about Windows Explorer or folder thumbs.
Try rotating one to correct one and save and then open in Editor.
    Thanks,

  • Shortcut for opening a minimized window?

Is there a short cut for opening a minimized window for an application? I know alt tab lets you rotate through open applications, but I haven't figured out how to open a minimized window with a shortcut. Thanks in advance!

Personally I use the Hide command in a program to hide the window, not a minimize command to the Dock, but just literally hides the window. Then if you use the Alt + Tab command to select the program you want, the hidden window will return like you are looking for. Hope that helps.

  • Using powershell to rotate which IE window/tab is displayed.

    Hi,
We are currently working on multiple performance dashboards which are to be hosted within a web browser - due to restrictions within the workplace we HAVE to use Internet Explorer 11.
I understand that with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox there is the capability of rotating through open tabs, this function is however missing from IE.
We have 4+ dashboards set up which we can load up and view completely fine, what we are aiming to do is to rotate each IE tab so that each dashboard (tab) is showing on the monitor periodically in a loop. I have searched online and found there is
the PowerShell Community Extensions that seem to do the job but again due to work restrictions - I can only use what comes out of the box with PowerShell, which seems to be limited when trying to do this.
    So I suppose my question(s) is/are:
Can I periodically loop through tabs within IE using normal PowerShell techniques?
If not; can I periodically loop through separate IE windows to similar effect?
It is imperative with the solution that the page doesn't load up a fresh instance of the url as the dashboard displays historic data which is collected real-time.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Broham21,
Unfortunately SendKeys is not an option for us as you quite rightly said that they are notoriously unreliable
    Hi mlg_24_05,
    Found your topic quite interesting.
I used AutoIT script, to test using IE10.
Open two tabs, with Google.com.sg and Google.com.ph opened.
And I use this AutoIT script below, and it works fine.
Let the system delay for 1 second and just display a count down message and the two tabs keep toggling back and forth..
Anyway, it is just a piece of snippet but I hope you can get an idea out of it.
    Here's the code I used:
    ===================
    #include<MsgBoxConstants.au3>
     Local $sText = WinGetTitle("[ACTIVE]")
        ; Display the window title.
           MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", $sText)
    Local $hWnd = WinGetHandle("Google - Windows Internet Explorer", "")
    For $i = 5 To 1 Step -1
        MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Count down!" & @CRLF & $i)
    Send("^{TAB}")
    Sleep(1000)
    Next
    ;WinClose($hWnd)

  • How can I have three videos playing simultaneously on one canvas in Final Cut Pro 7.0

I am doing a project for my degree show and i want to put 3 .mov files horizontally stacked next to each other at a 90degree angle (see picture) How do i do this? (this IS the right way up) when show the TV will be put on its side.
If anyone has any input for this I'd be really grateful
    Sam.

Put the clips in the timeline stacked on top of each. Switch the canvas to Image+Wireframe in the view popup on the top right. Grab the corner of the image and drag to scale it. Grab the edge of the image and drag to rotate. Open the clip into the viewer and set the rotation so it's exact.

    1. Mainstage - Even though I probably won't use Logic for live performance much, I love how simple, clean, and intuitive the interface looks. I will probably use this when composing as it seems to be one of the easiest ways to route drum pads, create keyboard layers, etc. really quickly, and the interface is very inviting.
    2. Delay designer looks really fun. I remember spending 30 minutes once in Sonar trying to get the stupid delay to do a really simple thing. I finally gave up and layered the audio data to make my own delay because it didn't give me enough control to make it happen in the plugin. It looks like I could have just drawn it into the Delay Designer and been done with it.
    3. Import from Garageband - Not a new feature, but I love using Garageband as a musical notepad when all I want to do is create something simple or jot down an idea. In this period, I don't need all the features of Logic, but I will eventually, and then I just open it up in Logic and get more advanced.

  • How do you disable OS X (when you focus on a window) from auto-focusing on windows from the same (or similar) program on another screen

    Hi,
I have what is quickly becoming a major nuisance, I hope someone here knows more than me (hopefully about to change this behaviour..?).
Whenever I click on e.g. excel on one screen, the excel windows in the background on my other screen is automatically brough to the front, hiding the window I actually want to be able to see. And if I have no excel windows on that screen, it will automatically bring e.g. MS word to the front instead.
Does anyone know of a way to disable this extremely annoying behaviour? It seems silly to have to minimize every single window (yes, I have a lot open at any given time, and need to transfer data between several different programs) just to be able to look at windows from two different programs at the same time.
    Cheers,
    W

this is NOT how apps behave on a Windows PC. There, the different windows of any app focus independently.
Mmm, no, not really. All Windows apps run inside an application frame. Nothing for that app can exist outside the frame. Once you are in the frame of a given app, all of (example) Excel's open documents are also stuck inside the frame. Along with any palettes or other objects for that app. You can take it off full screen display like below, but each app, and everything associated with it is in its own frame.
I mention this to show that you can do the same thing on your Mac. Where you said:
I'm clicking/highlighting to the foreground (this also applies if I use alt+tab in Windows PC; you cycle through every single excel you have open,
The equivalent on the Mac is to press Command+` (same key as the tilde ~, which should be directly above the Tab key). So it's Command+Tab to switch between apps, and Command+` to rotate between open documents within an app.
So anyway, in the same manner you would arrange your Windows apps as shown above so you can see the contents of both apps, you simply arrange your Mac apps' documents the same way. Adjust the size of each open document as necessary so you can see the relevant information.
Just like if a person were going from Mac to Windows, it's "different". Folders, files and apps? All the same concept. Saving and deleting files? Pretty much the same. But if you're very used to one, the other seems odd until the need to think about "simple" steps that aren't performed quite the same way as the OS you're used to becomes habit, and it no longer seems odd anymore.

    Thoughts?

Contact Sheet is a welcome return. So many features can be adapted. I made this a few years ago by sizing up 40 images, and turning off titles, and ‘Flatten Layers’ when making the contact sheet. It was then fairly simple to FT each layer to give some overlap, and use Layer masks for creative affect.
It was eventually incorperated into a poster for the organisation running the event.
Some interesting JDIs  (thanks so much for the typed list!).
The Eye dropper changes appeal to me, and Ctrl J now working on Groups is very welcome.  Lots more there, but what worries me is that there are apparently twice as many new JDIs in CS6 as there were in CS5, which makes me think I must be missing a lot of the CS5 JDIs.  is there a list somewhere?

  • EXIF date and time data issues

I have several thousand images shot during the same trip, on two different cameras. The date and on one of the cameras was not correct. I corrected the date on the images using PhotoInfo 2.0.1
The problem is that Bridge CS3 is not recognizing the new date on all of the images. Most of the images show and can be sorted in Bridge by the new, correct date. However, any image that I altered in Bridge (rotated, cropped, opened in ACR, rated, etc...) prior to correcting the date in PhotoInfo is not showing the new, corrected date in Bridge.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
    Anyone know of a solution?
I have been struggling with this issue for quite a while so any input will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I have the exact same problem - corrected the EXIF date and time and still wrong sorting. The thing is that Bridge sorts the files by "Creation Date", the date and time you also see in the Finder. So I found an application that can change that, too. But still Bridge sorts the files in the wrong order! Displays the old time, too.
After several times of emptying the cache, sorting is now ALL messed up (without any kind of logic), I don't know how to fix it.

  • What is the correct way of quieting down the CPU fan?

    Hello,
Let me first ask for recomendations on an aftermarket CPU Heatsink and Fan to replace the stock one on my AMD x4 965 Black edition CPU please, My profile on this forum has my computers equipment and case etc.  But if you need more info please just ask..
Would somebody please give me instructions on how to make the stock CPU cooling fan run at a more appropriate RPM when at idle and or when running with a load on it please.
The stock CPU cooling fan usually runs up there at about 5,000 to 5,500 CPM even when at idle and it's seriously insanely loud, too loud to be sitting next to it and trying to concentrate on work or even playing a game.
I've been loading up the Overclockers Center program and choosing the default profile since that seems to have the CPU fan set to around 3500 RPM which produces an acceptable noise level for the fan.  But I figure that having to load up Overclockers Center program and choosing a profile each time I load my computer is probably not the way I should be doing it, so if somebody wouldn't mind, please explain what I need to set in the Bios or elsewhere so that the CPU cooling fan is not blowing my head off with noise all the time.
    Thanks

    Hello
1-This mobo is strong enough to support such a heavy coolers. Now i have i installed TUNIQ TOWER EXTREM( because of porformance/price here) that is as heavy as v8. although the company dosnt gauranty the failure but it works very well on my case and i rotate and opening the case  many times for some experiments!!
2- ZALMAN is a famous cooler producer.I said the rules for choosing a cooler . You can buy one of them .The reviews on net can help you for best choise.BUt v8 is a good proven cooler because the more surface that has and material and big fan.although i didnt have another choice in IRAN.You may find so better coolers.
the fluid mechanic rules say that the surface-material-shape of heat sinks and temperature-velocity-amount of air that moves on the heat sinks are the parameters of a heat sink.
i have a bad experience. In my old case with P4 3 GHZ i bought a good cooler from THERMALTAKE .But the fans is rotating very much and made noise. There was some truth that i didnt mentioned.
The cpu is produce a lot of heat ( more than phenom) and  the fan is 10 cmm i think . I replaced the fan with a 12 cmm fan but the system in loads crashed. The heat sink designed for such a fan and it must rotate very much to cool cpu .12 cm fans cant go beyond 2000 rpm i think and this amount of air wasnt enough for cooling.
3- you have a lot of wind in your case!!. I dont know that greater fan than 12 cm is safe because they use more current .But 8 and 12 cm fans works very well with onboard ports and SPEEDFAN program.
After all cooling and making the pc make less noise is a long story .You must have a target . There is a limit that you cant go beyond that so i think you must have a plan and use your money and time on it.
For my new system i had a dream: most powerful-silent-upgradable system so i choosed these parts:
POWER=CM SILENT PRO- for the design and big fan that they have.
CPU=ATHLON II 635 -I knew that phenom is very powerful but make more heat so i used this cpu and have plan for upgrading with a 6 core cpu.
    VGA= 1-GIGABYTE 9800GT SILENT
             2-ZOTAC 9800GT SYNERGY
choosing a gpu was very hard. 9800gt silent was the most powerful silent cpu that i could buy. but for future i bought a zotac. because it has a single cooler and dosnt occupy a PCI slot that i need.
you may say why you dont buy another 9800 silent? because this card is warm in loads and i had a fear two of them in a case may harm them. I count on HYBRID SLI technology that could shut down the second card but it is not working and i am a little disappoint .
two 9800gt in sli have as power as a GTS 270 in reviews.
CPU COOLER=TUNIQ TOWER EXTREM- According to my counts cooler was silent in ideal but in loads it was noisy so i replaced that
MOBO=NF980-G65-It uses the last chipset from nvidia with sli enabled and ddr3 and phenomii x6 support. (The mobo is hot. According to some reviews it is cooler than AMD chipset motherboards and faster but i hope it was cooler)
    Good luck

  • Moving through Windows

hi, anyone know how I rotate through open windows on Safari; my fingers move to do Tab plus the button with the "cmd square-type logo thing" but this rotates through open programmes not windows.

You're close Try command+` (the backtick symbol, usually just above the tab key)

  • Changing printer defaults (terminal)

someone helped me awhile back change the DEFAULT printer settings actions and for some reason i cannot find this documentation. doing this would save me a lot of time and i would like to do this again as well as document so i can do it if i have to do a fresh install.
in particular i am looking to get the dialog to DEFAULT to 100% (not automatically scale to fit) and DEFAULT to not rotating (uncheck Rotate upon opening instead of having it checked as default).
can anyone help me where to find out how to do this?
in the meantime i am going to try and search again for this.
    TIA

Open the System Preferences and click on the Print & Fax icon. At the bottom, choose the printer and paper size you want to use as the defaults.
Now open any app (this browser page will do) and press Command+P. If you get the uselessly over-simplified dialogue as show next ...
... then click on the arrow next to the printer name so it looks something like this:
Set the scale to 100%. Where it says "Safari", go through the other settings under that drop down menu making any changes you want to be the defaults for that printer. When you're done, click on the menu below the printer name (unlike where mine says "7500 Plain paper - 1 side", it will likely say "Standard").

QUICK QUESTION TO THOSE WITH 17 MBPs...
Could you tell me how is your screen??? Is it stiff or loose a bit, could you please rotate the opened MBP towards you and see if the screen stays in place or moves towards you to close.
    Thank you
    B

Hello...I did the test that you asked and my MBP 17" screen stays at the angle I open it up to, however when I tilt the mbp towards me the screen does move a little. My screen is "loose(r)" than the 15" MBP I had. I asked the genius at the store and he said that it is typical of 17" screens to be a little looser. I don't know if he was just telling me that or what. My screen is only "loose" feeling until it gets almost shut and then it feels as "tight" as the 15" does. I hope this helps! I love the 17" and as long as the screen stays open and at the angle I put it at on a flat surface...it really doesn't bother me as to how loose it is. Thanks.
