Rotate left/right is always grayed out in device simulator

If I run my app in Air Debug Launcher (Mobile), the "rotate left" and "rotate right" options in the device menu are always grayed out, regardless of whether the publish settings have auto-orientation enabled. This is making it impossible to test orientation code. Does anyone know a solution?
Addtionally, I have found (via a textfield reporting the current orientation) that my AIR app doesn't throw the "default" or "upside down" orientations on my device (Asus Transformer Infinity). It only throws "rotated left" and "rotated right". Anyone know a solution for that?

The rotate buttons are enabled only in "ANY" Aspect Ratio mode and auto orients set to true. For other aspect ratio values, the stage orientation must remains in one of the orientations specified by the aspect ratio and hence should not rotate.

For example, when accessing an email account with firefox and I click on an .mp3 attachment the "open with" choice is always grayed out. This issue is not exclusive to email attachments rather all file links that I click on any site give me the same result. I am using MAC OS X Mavericks.
How can I restore the "open with" selection?

You can try rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

I am unable to create a Bookmark. The /- is always grayed out.

I have followed the instructions for making a bookmark and no matter what the plus/minus icons at the bottom of the Bookmark window are grayed out. I have tried from a Chapter, Section and a Page. I have tried from within a table. It is always grayed out. Any suggestions, please.

BAM Calculation Group By always grayed out

Trying to figure out why the Group By... button is always grayed out on the Calculation tab in Active Studio? I understand it requires a calculation that performs an aggregation, but even when I do include an aggregation, it remains grayed out. I am trying to do calculations at each level of a hierarchy, but without the Group By, I suspect my calculation will never work properly.

New preset from version is always grayed out. Why? I can never make a new preset.

Does the version you have displayed in the viewer have adjustments made to it? You can only make a new preset if there are changes to the current image.

I am using Messages on an iMac, Mountain Lion: Status always grayed out.

do you have the current itunes? the option is under view "show duplicate items. Maybe you just dont have any duplicates.

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

Apple ID required for every purchase, and option to change it is always grayed out.

I just purchased a new iPod after my old one died on me. When I went to download some previously purchased apps, it asked me for my Apple ID with every download. I went to Restrictions, which were still off and saw that "Require Password" was set to "Immediatly" and could not be changed without turning on restrictions. Keep trying but sort manually stays grayed out. All I want to do is sort photos within one event the way I want them to appear.

It's like iTunes:
You can view an music album on iTunes and there are all the tracks. The hit single, the annoying filler that they stuck on, all there.
Or you can create a Playlist of just the singles, or tracks from various albums that work together well, or just your favourite tracks from different artists and so on.
In iPhoto: the Event has all the photos taken at that time. So, all 812 photos you took at the Wedding. All there.
An Album allows you to just use the 50 best ones, and possibly group them with 12 from the Rehearsal and five others from the day after. Just the best shots. Or bunch all the photos of the groom from birth to today, or all the photos of the bride and her dog. Or whatever. Really, the limit is your imagination.
Like Playlists in iTunes, images in an iPhoto album are simply referenced from the Library. So a photo can be in any number of albums and use no extra disk space.
Then, once you couple your imagination with metadata...
I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
I keyword on a
Who
What
Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 50k library in a couple of seconds.
So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
File -> New Smart Album
set it to 'All"
title contains Seattle
keyword is mountain
keyword is snow
rating is 5 stars
Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
New Smart Album
Keyword is John
Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
Want only the best pics?
add Rating is greater than 4 stars
The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.

Why are the songs that I uploaded to the iCloud always graying out?

I've uploaded 14,000 songs to the Cloud. Now most are grayed out. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. This happens on my MacBook as well as my iPhone 6. I'm signed in so that isn't the issue.
Also, why did the iCloud delete a whole bunch of my uploads? These were CDs like Tool and a few collector's songs that aren't in general release?

Add WPS Printer ALWAYs grayed out

This is driving me nuts. I've searched high and low and can't figure out how to get this "Add WPS Printer..." menu item to light up. I'm following the (very poorly documented) proceedure provided by Canon for my Pixma Pro-100. What am I missing?

I was able to get it to ungray out by clicking on the AirPort Extreme and authenticating. Then it appeared.
I had to do it a few times, and the sequence that seemed to work was starting WPS on the router first, then starting the search on the printer.

I googled and came across this little gem buried deep in an Adobe Help article.

This is a User to User forum, and Apple rep don't frequent very often.
I have read a great many of the posts in all versions of Mail, and have never found this to be common, nor have I ever experienced it with any of my 15 accounts.
Is this a POP account, or IMAP?
