Rotated IXUS images download by PSA SE not rotated
I have just started using Photoshop Album Starter Edition for downloading images from my Canon DIGITAL IXUS 400, and I experience a problem. The camera has a sensor for the rotation of the camera when the image was taken, and this information follows with the image when downloaded. PSA SE as well as the Windows Image and Fax Viewer shows the images in the correct orientation, but the Windows file explorer does not. Neither does my DVD player when showing these JPG images.
The frustrating thing is that this was all right when I used the Canon ZoomBrowser program for downloading the images, but since PSA SE has a much better user interface, I would rather keep in using it.
Any ideas, or do I have to revert to ZoomBrowser?
The problem isn't really with PSA SE. The thing is that this rotation flag is set by the camera and different software does different things with it; possibilities include:
1) do nothing
2) display the photo rotated
3) change the photo so that it is rotated
Image Viewer and PSA SE do (2).
WE and DVD player do (1).
Looks like ZB does (3).
The workaround is to select "portrait" photos in PSA SE and rotate right, then left. Then the image will actually be rotated.

Images downloaded using firefox (android) not recognised properly - cant attach pics for mms

I have been experiencing a problem on my HTC one x where images downloaded through firefox for android will not behave properly in my phone. Attempts to attach pictures to text messages are met with a pop up saying "unable to attach media".
Inspecting the details of these pictures in the gallery app showed that the file type field is blank (hence being unable to attach it to a mms, another symptom is that gifs display as a still image of the first frame of the gif).
Inspecting these pictures using a file browsing app shows that they all have the correct extensions for their file type. Renaming the pictures (without changing the extension) within the file browser seems to fix the problem - their file type shows up correctly within the gallery app, pics can be sent via mms and gifs become animated.
I am only experiencing this issue with firefox, the same images downloaded with different browsers all work perfectly - i dont have to rename them to get my phone to recognize them properly.
The problem may have something to do with the method that firefox uses to download files - every file i have downloaded using other browsers shows up in my phones stock "downloads" app, while files downloaded through firefox do not (it keeps its own list within the app itself)

The workaround is to long tap on the image and select share and then choose message. -
I want to turn off the automatic image download function, and DO NOT have that option on the Option/Content tab. I have looked everywhere I can think of for an option to stop web pages from downloading a ton of stuff I don't want to see, and I cannot find a way to do it anywhere. I am VERY frustrated at this point, because all the help info I found online from other sources say to uncheck the Automatic Image Download box on the Content Tab in the Options dialog box.
That option isn't there... The only things available on that tab are "Block Pop-ups," "Fonts & Colors," and "Language." That's it. I have automatic updates enabled for Firefox, and it is up to date.
Please help me solve this very annoying problem. Thank you.

Hi, I've just downloaded the latest release 10.1.1 and now I do not see any more correctly my clips either in the canvas and in the timeline. Playing clips, they now appears with garbled images, completely unstables: I can not editing in these conditions!

I've stored the library in HARD DISK which is installed inside my computer (1 TB capacity) and different from my hard disk in which I've installed all my applications (600 GB capacity).
I've installed FCP since 2001, bought FCP X in 2012: never had a problem. Yesterday I was editing my video of my last vacations (in California!) and I have updated FCP X, downloading FCP X 10.1.1: then the problem!
Strange is the fact that I've just tried to export a short project, I can see the final product quite well.
What is impossible is playing the clips within Final Cut: they are jumpimg, moving, presenting some frame in green or red ...
Everything all right in iMovie.
I've just checked the RAM: 9GB out of 12 GB is busy, could this be the problem?
Motion is very slow: for 20 sec of project, it takes minutes to play. And once again, if you finalize the projet and export it in Quicktime, you can see it correctly.
I do hope you may suggest something, I'm getting crazy!

I am using an epson projector to present images downloaded to a thumb drive. I rename the images on export to "untitled 101, 102 etc. The projector will not recognize the sequence. It wants 001, 002etc. If I try to start 001 lightroom changes it to 1, 2 ... 10,11 etc. How can I export and rename starting with 001?
The projector may actually be processing a 3 digit number in numerical sequence. Have you tried your export/collection in order sequence starting with 101? Assuming you have fewer than 899 images you should be OK. (I had to fiddle with export sequence for a display frame which used the file date and time for sequence!)

Too many concurrent AP image downloads, AP will not Join

wonder if any of you have seen this before, trying to join an 1142 on a WLC_SRE version 7.4.
the AP can ping the controller and vice versa. In the controllers GUI: Monitor>Statisticc>AP join, I can find the mac of the AP that I am trying to get joined.

Trying to join 1142N LAPs. when getting the boot up process on the LAP, it endlessly loops in finding a valid WLC, although I have primed them to go to 192.168.7.1.
The WLC log shows:

My Image CLASS MF4350d printer is not recognized by windows 8-64 bit any help how can i fix the problem. I thought it could be to do with the Shuffle not having enough of a battery charge.
So i plugged it into the wall charger and then tried this didnt work either.
It wont even play music for some reason. The only information I get in the earpiece when I turn it on is what the battery level is at. -
HTML Gallery, metadata and image download

I find Bridge collections really useful and output to html gallery template pretty good looking as a quick way to show prospect clients themed presentations of my work. There are two issues though which I hope someone can help with, or that Adobe would change if listening in on this.
Whereas the html gallery template reads the metadata like description, title and filename, metadata is being stripped from the image when image is downloaded from gallery.
That the image can be downloaded and that meta data is stripped from the image files are two reasons not to use what otherwise could have been an excellent product.
I would prefer the coding of this html gallery to prevent download of individual image files and as content providers we totally rely on metadata being contained with image file. Are there ways I can change this without going to script amendements?
If the solution should not be with adobe, could anyone suggest another product that could cater for this need?

TorunnAmendments (and apologies for errors in my original post. Copyright status, -notice and -url are indeed contained in metadata for downloaded image, so not so bad then Wish list thus shortended to description field and the IPTC contact data. Though why not all?

I had to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of my up-t0-date Firefox due to another problem (it would only open one window), but after reinstalling my extensions, their icons were not displaying.
I uninstalled and reinstalled again, but the Personas Plus fox will not display in the status bar, and the Video Download Helper icon will not display in the Navigation toolbar, and is not available in the Customize Toolbars menu.

Column View won't display some images downloaded by browser
I have used the "Preview" in Column View to display images for some time and some images downloaded to folders will never display. The wheel just spins in the display area and CMD-i doesn't display the image either. If I open the image in the Preview application it displays! There is no detectable difference in the files that do and don't display in Col. View. I can get any image to show up by opening a graphic application and doing a "Save As" to reprocess the image and replace the balky one. But, this is not right that I should have to do this. I cannot determine whether a downloded image is going to have a problem or not as some from the same websites are OK sometimes and some are not. I had the problem with OS 10.2.8 too. Changing from iCab to Safari does not help.
ACK!!!! Cancel all that because it happens using Firefox too. I have NO IDEA what in the world is happening to my system that would cause web pages to load incompletely.

Message to download latest version w/not disappear
i keep getting a message that i NEED a new version of Adobe Flash Player in order to play games [i.e. SongPop on Facebook] ... i ALREADY have the latest, however, i downloaded it anyway, and the MESSAGE is still there when i go to play a game ... i've downloaded it a few times and the MESSAGE remains and will NOT allow me to play any games ... i even DELETED the Adobe Flash Player and started ALL over again, to NO avail ... how do i get PAST this??? thanks for your help! patidee

Adobe Flash states successful when downloaded, however it will NOT work and disappears?
I've tried numerous time to install, uninstall and install again flash player from adobe. I go to watch a video and it still states I need to update to newest version even after doing so. I'll shut down my computer and when I turn on my computer it's gone. When I go under system preferences it's there and it shows it's sucessfully running, however, it's not. What am I doing wrong, what am I missing?
What I'm trying to confirm is, you downloaded the Flash Player Installer, and you get a .dmg (disk image) file, on your Desktop (or wherever it was downloaded). You double-clicked that downloaded .dmg file, to "mount" the disk image, to open a Finder window with the installer (called Install Adobe Flash Player). You double-clicked that installer to RUN the installer app and install Flash Player. So, just downloading the installer does not install Flash Player... I'm trying to confirm you ran the installer after downloading it.

Lightroom 5.5 update unusable:( I downloaded the 5.5 (not CC) update yesterday on my PC and now most functions are EXTREMELY slow to the point of making Lightroom unusable. It takes several minutes and appears to freeze when cropping an image, an export of a single image takes several minutes, and every click or action of any sort takes 10-20 seconds to respond. I didn't have any problems with the 5.4 version and would like to go back to that. My questions are: 1. How do I get back to 5.4? (do I just uninstall 5.5 and reinstall 5.4? and in that order?) 2. Will going backward mess up my catalog? Will I lose all of the work I've done since my last backup? (sadly, last week...arg!) 3. I also updated CS6 Camera RAW...if I go back to LR5.4 do I also need to go backward in Photoshop updates?
I've got 3 projects that require Lightroom and need to get done (like yesterday!), so any help you can provide would be great.
