Rotating on the.. erm.. Z...? X....? Y...?

I would like to be able to do this:
http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsdt_710?c=au&cs=audhs1&l=en &s=dhs
Do I need any special plugin?
I realise one of the steps is taking photos, but how do I
stitch them together in Flash?
On a side note, has Flash CS3 been released yet?

  • I have photos that are rotated within a photo stream created from a project even though the photo displays properly within the project. How can I get the photos to have the proper rotation within the photo stream?

    I have a photo stream that was created from a subset of photo from a rather large Aperature project. Some of the photos show up rotated within the photo stream but are not rotated within the project. Why is this happening and how do I fix the rotation within the photo stream? I do have the latest version of Aperature and have all of the necessary updates applied to my devices used to view the photo stream. The photos do show up rotated within the photo stream segment of Aperature, so I am sure it is not an issue with the output device (iPad and Apple TV). I do know that I cannot edit photos within a photo stream, but no amount of editing within the project allows the photos to be properly rotated within the photo stream. All help would be greatly appreciated.

    That will work, but it is the long way 'round.
    As Frank noted, Book Albums are just specialized Albums.  Albums can show any Image in your Library, regardless of where the Album is located on the Library Inspector, and regardless of which Project contains the Image.  You can put your Albums anywhere (in a Folder called "Books" for example).  You can put Images from anywhere in your Library in any Album.
    The easy way 'round:
    - Make a new Book Album
    - Select Images you may want to put in your Book.  Flag them.
    - Select some more.  Flag them.
    - Go to the "Flagged" container (listed near the top of the Library Inspector), select all, and drag-and-drop them to your Book Album.
    - Repeat as needed, or just drag-and-drop directly into the Book Album.
    Note that you can remove any Image from any Album (including Books) by selecting and hitting the "{Delete}" key.  This _does not remove the Image from the Project that contains it, or from the Library.
    Note, too, that once the Images are in your Book Album, you then put them in the Book you are creating for publication.  The Book Album contains the superset of Images with which you populate the Book itself.  The Book Album also holds the Book.
    A good (imho ) introduction to the parts of Aperture can be found in this short guide I wrote.
    The User Manual is helpful.  Here is
    the chapter on making Books.
    From that chapter, here is
    the section detailing how to create and populate a Book Album.

  • Some photos are rotated within the wrong orientation

    Hello fellow mac users, I am having a strange issue and would like your help.
    Following a corruption of my iPhoto database, I used a third party software to repair the database. I also did additional things like repair thumbnails, etc... I managed to repair the library but I am now having a strange issue.
    Portrait photos are rotated within the portrait frame. To repair, I need to swap the resolution in Photoshop:
    1. What I see in iPhoto.
    2. Rotated photo in iPhoto. This is obsviously distorted.
    3. Original photo after inverting resolution in photoshop...
    Is there a conveninent way to perform a batch repair without having to open every photo one by one in photoshop??? I hame probably more than 500 photos like that!!!
    Thanks in advance!

    The picture now looks fine in iPhoto (thumbnail is still wrong)
    Then try the following:
    1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
    2 - Run Option #2, Rebuild Thumbails.  It might take more than one try.

    Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
    The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
    I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
    In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
    In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
    In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
    When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
    I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
    If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue.  That might be the only solution
    Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
    We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly
    In business, submitting a potential job contract only for the recipient to get the wrong idea of the costs is a major concern

  • How to mute and lock screen rotation at the same time? Loved this feature in iOS 5.

    How to mute and lock screen rotation at the same time? Loved this feature in iOS 5.

    You cannot do two different simultaneous VISA writes over a serial bus. There is a single rx line on the pc's com port and a single rx line on the instrument. You only hope is if the instrument allows you to chain commands and the reception of the carriage return triggers the instrument to implement both at the same time. Maybe you can send CTS01 and CTS02 separated by a space or comma. The manual should tell you if that's possible or maybe you need to ask the manufacturer.

  • How to copy and paste an object (i.e. a drawn polygon) without it automatically rotating in the pasted page?

    In detail:  I have a multiple page PDF for a construction project.  We are using Adobe to mark the drawings up; the drawings have a set scale.  In my scenario, I am highlighting a region of known data on the plan using a shaded polygon.  I have another page that I need to compare that shaded region to that is at a different scale.   I reprinted the differently scaled plan through Adobe at 200% size to match to the main document's scale (going from '1 inch = 40 feet' up to '1 inch = 20 feet').  That newly printed page was inserted into the document containing with the polygon.  I then copied and pasted the polygon onto the new page.  The polygon is automatically rotated 270 degrees.
    The issue is why the polygon is rotating.  The above information is just in case it matters.  And, yes, sometimes this happens in other files as well, but not always.
    Using Adobe Standard X (NOT Pro), version 10.1.9

    Thank you Sukrit for responding.
    The computer I am using is controlled by a government agency.  They do not allow users to install or modify any software.  The file I am using, though a public document, may not be advisable to be posted online.
    However, my solution to the issue was to reprint the document that I was pasting into and modifying the print settings to rotate the PDF image.  First, I had to change the size of the PDF beyond the original full size dimensions to account for the scale change.  Then change the print settings to print landscape while telling adobe's advanced settings to print portrait.  After some finesse with other settings for scale, I was able to copy and paste the polygon without loosing the scale.  This took me a week to figure out.  An extreme waste of time for such a simple issue that should not occur in such a popular software.

  • I created a PDF of my book in Preview and encrypted it. When opened in Adobe Reader, it is rotated to the vertical position rather than the original landscape position. How do I fix this in Preview? I don't want my buyers to have to hassle with rotating.

    I created a PDF of my book in Preview and encrypted it. When opened in Adobe Reader, it is rotated to the vertical position rather than the original landscape position. How do I fix this in Preview? I don’t want to hassle my buyers with rotating. There was no option in Preview to account for this automatic and unwanted rotation.

    Then you rotate it and SAVE or SAVE AS and it will remain that way.

  • IOS 8.3 and the auto rotation of the screen problem?

    I upgraded to IOS 8.3 and the auto rotation of the screen has stopped working on my iPad Air 2, has anyone else got this problem?

    By Control Centre I meant swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Centre.  In there you will find the rotation lock symbol (a padlock with a circular arrow round it).  Make sure that is turned OFF

    Took my phone to the Apple store this week and they told me it was a hardware/screen malfunction. They replaced the screen for free since it was under warranty. Now it works fine again!

  • What BAPI's use the ERM of the SAP GRC AC 5.3 to create the roles in the R/

    Hello,
    Does somebody knows what BAPI's use the ERM of the SAP GRC AC 5.3 to create the roles in the R/3?
    Thank you in advance.
    Pablo Mortera.

    Pablo,
       I don't have access to the system right now. Go to SE38 and search for 'Virsa' BAPIs...it will list all the ERM BAPIs under RE. The naming convention is pretty straightforward so you will be able to find a create role BAPI. If you open this BAPI, you will be able to find the SAP delivered BAPI which is being used in PFCG.

    Good gracious.  It sounds like you were able to rotate the canvas a more or less exact multiple of 90° or you'd have spotted that it was skewed.  I just tried it using the r shortcut, and while it is doable, it is not particularly easy to rotate the canvas to a point where it could fool you.  What does surprise me, is that while the Options bar shows the degree of rotation while the r key is depressed, I could see nothing on the UI to tell me that the canvas was rotated.  That's something that you might want to start a thread on the Photoshop Feedback page.

    Anyway, Escape is the usual way to cancel rotate canvas.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I know how frustrating these types of situations can be and it sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting already. I would recommend reading over the attached article and working through the troubleshooting steps provided.

  • Image rotation - mapping the image into the center of the new image

            for (int x = 1; x < imageOne.getWidth()-1 ; x++) {
                for (int y = 1; y < imageOne.getHeight()-1 ; y++) {
                    /* Get the values from imageOne */
                    int red = imageOne.getRed(x, y);
                    int green = imageOne.getGreen(x, y);
                    int blue = imageOne.getBlue(x, y);
                             * x' = a0x + a1y + a2
                             * y' = b0x + b1y + b2
                    double x2 = Math.round(a0 * x + a1 * y);
                    double y2 = Math.round(b0 * x + b1 * y);
                    if (x2 > imageOne.getWidth()-1 || x2 < 0 || y2 < 0 || y2 > imageOne.getHeight()-1){
                        //Do Nothing
                    }else{
                        imageTwo.setRGB((int)x2, (int)y2, red, green, blue);
            }Using the above algorithm, the image will rotate, but the rotation will start from the corner of the image (coordinate 1,1). For example, if I do a >90 degree angle rotation, the image will diappear.
    I want my image to rotate and appear in the middle of the new image output.
    Any idea?

    Hi,
    As part of my courseowrk, where we can't use the Java's API, im trying ot do the rotation manually...
    Say my image is always 512x 512, and I've tried "translate" -> "rotate" -> "translate" below:
            for (int x = 1; x < imageOne.getWidth()-1 ; x++) {
                for (int y = 1; y < imageOne.getHeight()-1 ; y++) {
                    /* Get the values from imageOne */
                    int red = imageOne.getRed(x, y);
                    int green = imageOne.getGreen(x, y);
                    int blue = imageOne.getBlue(x, y);
                             * x' = a0x + a1y + a2
                             * y' = b0x + b1y + b2
                    //1st transform
                    x2 = x+256;
                    y2 = y+256;
                     double rad = Math.toRadians(m);
            double cos = Math.cos(rad);
            double sin = Math.sin(rad);
            int newX = (int)Math.round(cos * getX() - sin * getY());
            int newY = (int)Math.round(sin * getX() + cos * getY());
            setX(newX);
            setY(newY);
                    //2nd transform
                    x2 = x2-256;
                    y2=y2-256;
                    if (x2 > imageOne.getWidth()-1 || x2 < 0 || y2 < 0 || y2 > imageOne.getHeight()-1){
                        //Do Nothing
                    }else{
                        imageTwo.setRGB((int)x2, (int)y2, red, green, blue);
            }setX and setY will update the value in x2 and y2.
    The concept is to move the pointer to the mid of the image (midHeight and midWidth) which is "x2 = x+256;" and "y2 = y+256;", rotate and translate again - but the output is still nto in the middle..
    Any idea?
