Rotating pages - not allowed in an unsecured document

I'm running Adobe Acrobat 9.1.3. I would like to rotate the even pages of the document 180 degrees.
When I select the pages in the page view, or use the document menu, the "Rotate Pages" option is not available to me. (it's listed, but greyed out in the document menu).
When I look at the security options of the document, it is set to "no security" and everything listed is "allowed." I have no options available to change anything on this page.
The document was originally submitted as a PDF/A version - I removed this information from the file using the preflight tool. It still doesn't work.
Any ideas?

In the preferences set the entry 'View documents un PDF/A mode' to 'Never'.

BSEG-VBUND for account type S, D, K, A
and see the effect.

FBV0 Post only - do not allow to change parked document

I had FBV0 access to post parked document, no complaints.
But, i should not be able change parked document.
can we restrict FBV0 to Post only - do not allow to change parked document ??

To segregate the authority to park and to post, i suggest that you
either
- use the exit provided by SAP note 361420 (BTE 1140) to deactivate the posting/
parking button depending on users.
OR
- set up a validation to prevent a users from posting/parking
OR
- Use workflow to release the park documents.

Rotated Pages not Printing Properly

Greetings All,
I'm not sure whether this is more an Acrobat issues or Word. I'm sure each would say the other.
Working in Word 2010 with files that have some hi res images in them. We're using the Acrobat X PDF Maker Office COM Addin as it was the only way I found to get the full resolution of the images. The books also have pages that are rotated in Word to landscape. Once PDF'd those pages are then rotated in Acrobat to be right-reading. Which all seems fine on the screen.
When printed to a laser printer, however, the pages that were landscape in Word and rotated in Acrobat sit lower on the printed sheet than the "regular" pages which are portrait in Word and therefore NOT rotated in Acrobat, ONLY when this button at the bottom left of the Acrobat print dialog is turned ON:
If the "Auto..." button is on it prints correctly. It's almost as if the rotation in formation within the Acrobat file is incorrect.
This happens when printed form Acrobat versions 9, 10 and 11.
Has any one seen this and is it something the printer may have trouble with?

I've printed the PDF on 3 different printers, all get the same result.
An interesting note (and maybe a clue?) that I hadn't bothered mentioning is that for the previous book in this series, using the same Word 2010 template, we used Word's Save As PDF to create the PDF. It wasn't until we were making the final PDF for the printer that we realized Word wasn't exporting the art at full resolution.
WHICH MAKES NO BLOODY SENSE AT ALL!!! (sorry for the rant - we ended up editing the PDF going to the printer and replacing the low res art Word put in with high res versions)
THAT PDF does not have this problem. Whether it's from having been created with the SaveAs or whether it was the extensive editing in Acrobat I can't possibly say. I DID try saving the PDF from Acrobat but it didn't fix the rotated pages problem.

SAP 2007 upgrade - does not allow to change old documents

We have recently upgrade to SAP 2007 from SAP 2005 and now it does not allow to change any of the old documents which was already in the system before upgrading.
Error message
Another user modified table [Message 131-183]
It gives the same error even after restarting the SAP server where SQL is runing and in all the user accounts including manager.

Pages will not allow me to retrieve documents any longer. No update available, but the message tells me to update in the App Store!

I'm completely updated, except for two unimportant apps that seem to have some sort of glitch, and no new update is showing up for Pages, yet when I try to retrieve my documents, the message says, "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document". The only thing that I see when I go into the App Store is a new version for $19.99. How can I update without paying? I just want to print my documents for safety and then never use Pages again.

Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.
Note: Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

New view of rotated page not saving in Acrobat X...

When I open a PDF file in Acrobat X often the page(s) need to be rotated. This is easy enough to do and easy enough to save the document. The bug is that the saved document doesn't remember the rotated view. This worked in previous versions of Acrobat why is it not working in version 10??

I discovered that there is a difference between page view rotation and page rotation. If I actually rotate the page then this problem goes away and I can save the file with it's new orientation in tact.

Pages Not Allowing Borderless Printing

Prior to Pages v5 (2013) I could easily print a document so that it was borderless by going into File -> Page Setup -> Paper Size -> US Letter -> US Letter (Borderless). Since upgrading to Pages version 5, the application will not remember my setting of Borderless. I can set it in Page Setup, hit OK, and then immediatly go back into Page Setup and it is off of Borderless again.
I can export the document as a PDF and then print Borderless from Preview, but what a waste of time and effort for something that should just work. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on and how to resolve it? Pages v5 is the only application having this issue.

Pages 5 is not just missing 100 features it is riddled with bugs, that Apple is very slow to fix.
Other than playing with the drawing tools, I can see no reason to use it. It is asking for trouble, and very much a waste of time.
Be thankful you have not lost your work… yet.

New Document Type Created but not allowing posting under that Document type

Hi Gurus,
I have created new document type 'JV' & assigned number ranges to that document type. But when I started posting the entries under this document type, system has thrown one error 'NO ACCOUNTING TRANSACTION VARIANT ASSIGNED TO FB01/JV'
Now after assigning transaction 000 (unspecified posting) & varaint 0001 to document type JV I can able to post the entry under this document type. (Classify document type for document spitting)
But I am not still sure whether my assignment to this particular document type is correct or not?
What is the basic criteria on the basis of which we have to select this assignment to particular document type?

What you have defined is correct. Since you are defining the document type jv meant for any type of posting and not restriciting like payments/receipts/vendors/customers.

Security settings to not allow Changing the PDF Document

I'm trying to create PDFs where users can do anything they wish to the PDF document including Document Assembly but not Changing the Document (i.e. modifying the original text).
Looking at the security settings in Acrobat, I can't seem to find an option that would only limit Changing the Document and nothing else. Is there a way this can be done?

But in the way that Acrobat views it - yes.
I suppose you could "try" to outline the text before PDFing it. Whether you can do that will depend on what application you are using to create the original document.

Field WSTAT does not allow changes to the document FI

I try leave the field BSEG-WSTAT changeable in document FI. for this, I added field In the table TBAER for account type S, D, K, A. But in the test the field in document is not ready for input.

Photoshop CS6 stops responding. Will not allow saving of a document.

System is Windows xp pro 32 bit with 3GB ram. Cannot save or even close out photoshop. Need to end task and start over again. Sometimes documant will be recovered sometimes not.

I scoured through the event viewer and have seen nothing in terms of error messages or warnings. System overall is quite stable which is why I have been slow to upgrade OS's. With regard to programs, processes and services, I have reexamined this list to ensure nothing was shut off inadvertently. Over the years I have tuned this OS to run quite efficiently eliminating unneeded resource hogs. Thank you so much for providing ideas and suggestions.
What I find quite odd is that when the program becomes unresponsive or maybe unstable is more accurate, some filters still function while others do not. Usually it's the larger filters like liquify and others that refuse to show up when called. It’s also that time when the program refuses to save, save as etc. but I can still do small tasks within the program like paint, add layer etc. There seems to be adequate resources available yet if I either try to save through the menu or through key stroke nothing happens. You can’t even close a document by X’ing out. It just ignores the request.
Thankfully, I can work around the issue by saving frequently and closing and restarting. But this is quite annoying.

I have a problem with bookmarks page not allowing me to move up and down the page on the "show all bbokmarks" "bookmarks menu"page

I am trying to set up Sync to enable me to use bookmarks on my desktop and laptop. When I have either one using sync, I can open the bookmarks page using "show all bookmarks" "Bookmarks menu" .But when i try to navigate the page, the page locks up and I can not page up and down the page. the page seems to be locked. Any ideas or should I delete the account and attempt to start over?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

InfoPath and SDP not allowed: Use Form or document to solve requirements?

I work in a company which has supplied SharePoint 2007 with limited user rights on operational level:
No use of SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, VisualStudio.
But we can customize SharePoint sites with administrator rights.
My department intends to facilitate a site to work with forms or documents.
Scope: 1000 items per year, 20 fields per item.
From my point of view I can see 2 possible scenarios:
Scenario 1
Create List
Create Form
Customize Form (possible? See above for limited rights)
Use form to edit, view and print
Scenario 2
Create content types
Create document library
Create Word template
Link Template to content types and library and create a new document per item
Use Word document to edit, view and print
Could you please be so kind and point out the pros and cons?

Not allowed to view pdf documents

It's telling me that I have to agree with the end user license agreement. I've downloaded adobe reader many times. It still does not let me

The way to launch an App is from Applications (the folder, in Finder), or from LaunchPad (the rocket icon).
When you do that Adobe Reader should start, give you a license agreement (one time) and run, showing "Adobe Reader" on the menu bar next to the apple icon.
