Is there an add-on to DW8 or a low-priced software that will do the
job?

    how to rotate photos in albums??

    yes, i can downloaded the photo(s) and use preview or iphoto ot some other program to rotate each one, but it seems so awkward, inelegant and SLOW, just to take a quick peek at the five separate photos that someone sends.
    is there really not an app or some similar thing to help?  i recall downloaded an app for explorer on windows, to take care of the same problem...

  • Why is iphoto having trouble with rotating photos all of a sudden?

    i've been using iphoto for a few years. suddenly it un-rotated all of my auto-rotated photos (which screwed up all of my face tags) and now when i upload new photos, if they auto-rotate during the upload they appear in the preview of a whole event, but if i double-click to see a vertical photo, or try to do a slideshow, i get the triangle with an exclamation point in it, indicating that something's wrong with the file. is anyone else having this trouble? or have any idea what to do?

    I've never used the Flickr feature so don't know if that as any bearing on the problem.  if you're satisfied with the newly "fixed" library you can delete the copy of the original library that you made. 
    However, since you're having problems with rotated photos you might try this and see if the new library has the rotated photos displayed correctly:
    Start over from scratch with new library
    Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1.  Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.

    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.

    This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
    If the rotated photos display correctly in this new library then the problem lies with the orther libraries being damages somehow.  You may want to stay with the new library even though the projects, i.e. books, etc. and keywords are lost. 
    If you have a lot of keywords in your current library and want to move them to the new library you can by doing this:
    1 - open the old library and select one photo.
    2 - type Command+K to brinb up the keyword pane.
    3  - click on all of the keywords that are not blue so that all of the keywords are blue.
    4 - export that photo to the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option. Select Kind=JPEG and check the two check boxes regarding keywords, locations, etc.
    5 - open the new library with iPhoto and import the exported photo from the Desktop.  That will bring in all of the keywords so that you don't have to recereate them one by one in the new library.

  • Vertical Pictures Cut Off in Photo Album Page

    On my photo albums page, the picture I want to use as the first picture is a vertical picture. But on the albums page, the albums are all horizontal. So when someone goes to look at my albums page, they just see these cut-off pictures with heads missing. Is there a way to change the orientation of the albums so they are vertical? Or is there a way to edit the first picture so that you can move the picture down so at least the head is showing in the horizontal view?

    Hi Kara,
    the only solution I can find is to drop a vertical photo into the MyAlbums page and cover the album with it (thus hiding the other head-less photo) linking that photo to the photopage.
    However this will cause the effects moving the pointer over the album cover (skim, dissolve, ...) to disappear.
    As far as I know albums can't be rotated and vertical photos are cut off and you can't tell iWeb not to cut them off...

  • CS5 Advanced Photo Album Template Upload Issue

    I just created a new flash ap from the template Advanced Photo Album (File->new->Templates->Media Playback->Advanced Photo Album)
    I set everything up put my photos where they needed to be and coded the xml section of the action script.  I tested it and it runs perfectly on my system.  However as soon as I upload it to my server I get the flash app to load but no images appear.  Its as if it can't find the xml file however its hardcoded into the flash app.  How can I fix this?

    I am havign the same problem with mine and i have tried all the suggestion on this thread, nothing is working. Still doesnt show images if I send the .swf file to a co worker. Anyone have any other ideas

  • Photo album layout...

    I dont use iPhoto to import pictures into the photo albums bc i first compress them, so basically I go to finder, look for my folder with the pics, and drag the pics i want (and drop them into the iweb window)/
    My problem is that all of the appear horizontally!!! No matter if i took them vertically or not, always the same. Therefore a lot of pictures appear rotated 90 degrees.
    What can i do?

    You do know that you can reduce the size of images coming out of iPhoto when you export them?
    iPhoto > File > Export.. > File Export Tab, Scale images no larger than:
    This will drop the file size down, the max size for iWeb is 800 x 600.
    It will also keep the orientation of the pictures, as per iPhoto.

  • Forward button bypasses delay in photo album

    I am a novice with Flash Pro but took on the challenge of creating a slideshow for a website. I used Flash Pro CS5 and the Advanced Photo Album template. I fought it out for a while and searched around for information before eventually getting it to load the images and work as coded.
    All went well and I published the .SWF and all the images to the site's root folder but whenever I click the 'forward' button it skips an image. The delay is set to 5 seconds but it would appear that the forward button bypasses the delay i.e. if I leave an image up for 3 seconds and then press the forward button, the next image will only display for 2 seconds before siwtching to the following one, despite the delay being set to 5. If I let it run automatically all the images follow the delay rule. I have included the code below. The only thing I have altered is the duration of the 'fade' transition from 0.25 to 1.
    Note: I have had to embed the HTML not the .SWF as when embedding the .SWF on the site it brought up the flash element but none of the images. Not sure if this is having an effect on the coding.

    I will admit this is all alien to me but I suppose this is the par for the course - trial and error.
    I am tempted to abandon this and go with something simpler but I was looking for the ability to pause the slide show and move froward/backward between images independant of the timer.

  • Rotated photo automatically reverts back to original

    I had a MBP that had some issues with burning a 8GB dual layer DVD. The Geniuses at the Apple store uploaded all my information to their server and then the downloaded it to my new MBP. However, I am using my brand new MBP and when I am viewing my photos in iPhoto 08 I noticed that previously rotated photos were no longer rotated in the right position. So I started to rotate them back. As soon as I click on a new photo, the previous one that I just rotated, rotates right back to the incorrect position.
    When I export the photo to my desktop and re- import it, it works fine. This issue actually applies to every photo I have (even the ones facing the right way) so I do not want to export my whole library and then reimport it - also editing all the roll names. I have 10,000 photos and I can't afford to have a corrupted library.
    I have also thrown out the plist files for iphoto 08 and restarted the program. I have run disk utility and there were no obvious issues. I have also rebuilt my entire iphoto library by holding down command option and opening iPhoto.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Well given that you have already tried rebuilding the library it does sound like your database has been damaged.
    A next step might be Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back. This will not make anything worse as it leaves your old library untouched.
    I have 10,000 photos and I can't afford to have a corrupted library.
    You'll have a back up then? Why not restore?

    I have downloaded photos from emails, camera and SD card.  Worked fine,but I have not been able to figure out how Rogelio them in albums.  I am assuming that I need to buy additional software?  I had been using local easy share on my laptop.

  • How do I transfer photo ALBUMS from iPad to PC?

    I've just been on a 51 day trip during which time I took almost 5,000 photographs that I copied from the camera to my iPad mini on a daily basis. As I went along I sorted the photos into albums, edited (rotated, cropped etc) some, stitched some panoramas together and so on.
    I'm now home and want to transfer all the photo albums to my PC - preserving the albums as folders on the PC.
    It seems that transfering via WE or "Scanner and Camera Wizard" will only transfer all the photos to a single target directory. Also, they are not rotated correctly.
    Is there not a way I can transfer the photos and retain the albums/folders that I have sorted them into?
    Transferring to Windows PC (I have XP, Vista and Win 8 machines I can try with).

  • How can I remove my iCloud Photo Albums from my iPhone 6 storage, but still use the iCloud Photo Sharing?

    I put all my photos from my iPod Touch 4 and my iPhone 4S in iCloud Photo Albums and Labeled them so that when I got the new iPhone 6 on iOS 8.1.2 I could have my previous photos on there for future use. Now I look on my iTunes app on my computer it shows that my storage on my iPhone 6 is almost full. Those Photos in iCloud are taking up all my storage on my iPhone. I know how to add more storage on my iCloud account, I just want to know Is there a way where my iCloud Photo Albums can still be in my iCloud Account, just not taking up all my storage on my iPhone.

    If you did not sign out of your Apple ID on your iPhone before creating a new one, then you will need to sign back in with your previous Apple ID and then sign out.  If you do not remember your password and do not have access to the email account, then you can reset your password by using the security questions.

    Try this (not 100% sure it will work, though.)
    Transfer all your photos from the device to your computer:
    Then, do an iCloud or iTunes backup.
    Erase all content & settings.
    Restore from the backup.

  • Can't select any photos in camera roll or photo album... help!

    I have a iphone 3Gs on 4.2.1
    If I go to my camera roll or any photo album, I can enter but if I select an image in the camera roll or photo album it just automatically closes and goes back to the home screen. Hard reboot, reboot is still the same.
    Any suggestions as to the cause?

    I am having the same thing as well. I click the photos app, I try view the photos I have taken, it just closed out of the photos app and goes straight back to the home screen. There is another way to see the photos you have taken. You click on the camera, then you click on the photos on the bottom left corner, it works for me. I can see all the pictures I have taken.
    I've been having problems with my camera, whenever I take a picture (with/without flash) my photos turn out black, was wondering if anyone can help us out about this problem.

  • How do I delete photo albums from my IPhone that don't show up in Itunes?

    I have an IMac recently upgraded to OSX 10.9.  My Iphone is a 4S running 7.0.4.  I know how to manage songs and photos using ITunes, but somehow my entire photo library has been synched to my IPhone.  The odd thing is the photos don't show up when I run the Preview Application (one way to remove photos from the IPhone).  Only the Camera Roll photos show up there.  And in ITunes I do not have any albums checked to synch.  I have no idea how the albums got onto my phone, and no idea how to remove them. 
    In ITunes, I make sure no photo albums are selected, and I choose "synch," but they just won't remove from the Iphone.   When I look under "Settings" "General" on my Iphone sometimes it shows over 8,000 photos and sometimes 2,000 photos.  But the albums never are removed.  Another strange thing is that in ITunes "Photos" at the bottom where you see the colored visuals of what applications are using space "Other" consumes more than half my space.
    I'm about ready to do a factory reset.  Can anyone help????

    that can sometimes happen, when trying to update the software failed. Then partially downloaded updates will take up a lot of space. Photos synced to iDevices can only be removed by syncing again.
    If syncing again with just one small album with a single photo selected will not remove the synced albums, back up the iPhone to iTunes and restore the device to factory settings:
          iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    Restoring should get rid of the "other" and the synced albums.
