Rotating picture problem

I am trying to get pictures to rotate every few seconds automatically. I inherited the site from someone else, and I tried to just copy the ss hype container and ss hype generated script that they wrote, but I cannot get it to work. I think it has to do with the numbers at the end ... the ?14801 just before the "></script>
The code is pasted below. Can someone tell me where the ?14801 comes from? The referenced source ss_neuropsychology_Resources folder contains a hype.js file, a PIE.htc file, a ssneuropsychology_hype_generated_script.js file, as well as the pictures that rotate.
<div id="ssneuropsychology_hype_container" style="position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:360px;height:240px;">
  <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="ss_neuropsychology_Resources/ssneuropsychology_hype_generated_script.js?84392"></scr ipt>
  </div>
This link shows what I am trying to accomplish (the pictures automatically changing every couple seconds):  Carter Psychology Center - Neuropsychology
I simply want to do this exact same thing on the Memory Care Clinic page (right now I have it pointing to the Neuropsych page photos, but they want me to have different photos for each).
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

You could use Bootstrap's Carousel Slider or jQuery Cycle2 or others mentioned in this related discussion from a few days ago.

  • Rotating pictures creates problem

    Hi,
    The issue is the following.
I asked my photo shop to put my négatives on CD's. I have a specific iLibrary, with pictures imported from the CD's with the files coming from my negatives. Most of these files are actually upside down in iPhoto. When I rotate them either individually, with one picture upfront and the others in banner, or simply when they are all on screen (selecting several pictures and rotating all of them at once), two strange things happen: first, scrolling through the pictures after having selected one brings back to the screen with the one selected, and, after having selected a certain number of pictures, iPhoto quits.
I have rebuild the database, with some result. Some because all of the rotated pictures are not put correctly. More: there is regression after several rebuild: pictures that were shown correctly are again upside down after the next rebuild.
    I have two questions:
1, Is what seems to be some kind of problem linked to 1Photo 6 with imported CD's solved in the next version (iLife 8)?
2, Is there a way to tackle this in iPhoto 6?
    Thanks,
    F

    Hi Terence,
As what you proposed didn't work, do you think it's due from the fact that I didn't take the pictures from the disk instead of exporting them from a library? Could that make the difference?
In the meantime, I tried another way: I export the upside-down picture to a separate library, and rotate them. The two bugs are still there: moving back to the last selected picture after scrolling, and quitting iPhoto after rotating a large quantity of picture (above 50 according to my empiric approach). Then I quit iPhoto and rebuild the library (size around 60 pictures). When I open the rebuilt library, some pictures are OK, but not all of them. I rotate the pictures again, to have them correctly presented, quit & rebuild again. And so on. It takes me between 7 and 15 rebuild to have all the pictures OK.
As you can imagine, it takes quite a lot of time... If there is anyone with a better way to address this, I would really appreciate.
    Thanks,
    Fred

  • Rotating pictures and rectangles in illustrator cs4. (WHY DO THEY LOOK WARPED/TRAPAZOID)

Can anyone help me with rotating pictures and square shapes in illustrator cs4.
When i rotate a square/rectangle or picture it seems to distort the shape and picture.  Say I rotate something 30 degrees by using the menu or free drag. the square/rectangle doesn't maintain it's 90 degree angles. You can notice it's kind of warped some.
Someone said hold down shift and I did all that does is lock the rotation to 45 degrees.....
    I'm on a pc.
    Thanks

Which I wonder why that is even in there?! If it will throw off things.
CRTs are glass screens coated with dots of phospor that light up when excited by an electron beam. They don't have physical "borders" for each of the "pixels" they render. So they are much more forgiving about displaying different aspect ratio images. An LCD monitor is made up of discrete cells. Set it to an aspect ratio by which the number of cells is not divisible and you get not only the ugly disproportionate scale, but also a hideous blurring effect.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of users (even mechanical engineers) who tolerate this, as if completely oblivious to it. It's also amazing to me how many people also watch movies on supposedly "high def" TVs which display Sandra Bullock's (and everyone else's) head at 1.5 times its proportional width, and never seem to notice.
I set my monitor to that native resolution and I believe that fixed things. Only thing is all my icons etc are really small.
If the size is a problem, use a setting that is the same aspect ratio as, and half the pixel count of the native resolution. In other words, tell your monitor to use four of its hardware cells to display each pixel, instead of one. But if you choose a setting that effectively tells it to use, say, 1.5 cells for each pixel, sharpnes is...well...going down the tube, because it can't actually do that.
Me, I always set my LCDs to their actual hardware resolution at their native aspect ratio.

  • PSE8: Rotated picture isn't saved in folder of the original

I have encountered a strange problem (for me). Whenever I rotate a picture in the PSE8 Organizer which is located on my NAS, the rotated picture is saved in the local folder (which you can define in the preferences dialog). This is really annoying. I can drag the picture (or the complete stack) back to the original folder on the NAS in PSE8. So there shouldn't be an access/right problem.  Is there a solution of this strange behaviour? When I rotate a picture in a folder on the local harddisk, the rotated image stays in the original folder.  Thank you very much!

Yes, your catalog has two entries in the volume table for your network drive that differ only in the case of the UNC path, and this is most likely causing your problems.
Did you convert this catalog from an earlier version of PSE? I know that in PSE 8 Adobe fixed one bug with respect to the case of the path, and I'm wondering if this is another bug still remaining in PSE 8 or whether it was introduced by your earlier version of PSE.
As for fixing this, your only option is to download the SQLite Database Browser tool and modify the internals of your catalog file.  I can give you a sketch of what you need to do if you want, but if you haven't worked with Microsoft Access or relational databases before, it may not be something you want to take on.   And I'm not sure whether the bug might come back to bite you again.

  • Rotating Pictures & Video Sent Through Email

I have taken pictures and video holding my iPhone 4 in a portrait mode (not landscape), but when I email the video or pictures via iPhone the pictures and video are sideways (rotated on its side 90 degrees) to the person receiving the videos and pictures. How do I keep the pictures and video from rotating 90 degrees?

I called Apple about this problem, and they said there is a software glitch and some phones were rotating pictures and videos when emailing from iPhone 4. But there wasn't enough compliants about it right now to generate a quick fix for it and it should be corrected in a future software update.
I suppose it is something similar to the glitch with the sensor when holding the phone up to your ear when talking--some phones have the problem and some don't. Mine doesn't have this sensor problem as the screen goes dark when I am on a phone call and hold the phone to my ear.
I hope the fix comes soon. Does anyone know when they expect the new software update to be released?

  • Rotated pictures come out blank after they have been exported.

Pictures scanned from Epson 700 photoscanner to i Photo looks fine in iPhoto. No problem editing in IPhoto, but the rotated pictures came out blank after they have been exported. The original picture is exported okay. I have tried all the repair options in iPhoto to no success.
Any suggestion how to fix the blank pictures or do I have to scann them all again?

Still I have to scan every picture again
No you don't. You can change the colour profile to sRGB with a script. Search this forum. Old Toad has one that he created and you can download it.

  • How do I create a 3D rotating picture?

    For example, like this: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3d-spin-3621.php
A 3D rotating picture wherein you can manually interact with it. I believe you have to take pictures of different angles of an object, then compile them in some way, then do something with Flash?
    Thanks.

  • How do i rotate pictures in ipad albums?

How do I rotate pictures in ipad albums?  The icon they show in the user instructions does not appear on my ipad.

You need a third party app to rotate the photos. The ability to do that directly within in the photos app does not exist in iOS 4. It is supposed to be one of the new features of the iOS 5 coming sometime soon.
You and download a free photo editing app called PhotoPad by ZAGG in the app store. You can use this app to rotate, crop, etc and then resave the photos after you change them.

  • INSIGNIA 50" 1080p plasma picture problems

I purchased a INSIGNIA 50" 1080p plasma HDTV (NS-PDP50HD-09) last year, and it's plagued with this picture problem.  What happens is the picture will split in half down the vertical middle, and the left half will bounce up and down one way, and the right half the opposite way.  It's starting to get worse and worse.  So i called support over a month ago (and it fell and still falls for a week under the 1 year manufacturer's warranty) and best buy sent a 3rd party company to look at it.  Unfortunately they only work during weekdays, and close at around 5, so i had to take days off to have my tv serviced.  I finally got it back, however it's been a week and the problem has resurfaced.  I just called in again, and they said they will resend the company to look at it again.  However, I am becoming frustrated with the situation, because the warranty end date is nearing, and although i was assured that there is a 90 day guaranty on it, i've paid for something is essentially broken.  When it worked properly, i was very satisfied with the TV.  Am i going to be stuck with a 75lb paper weight?  I don't believe this model is manufactured anymore.  Are there any options for me?

I've got the same exact problem with mine. It only does it when it's in one of the zoom modes. I had a tech check it out and he had fixed the problem but 3 months later the problem started up again.  Now I'm just waiting to hear back from BB on if they're going to fix it or replace it.

  • Importing rotated pictures from iphoto

Hello everyone. I'm a new mac user and I am in love with my new mac. I'm mainly using it for the imovie application. I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer...
Does anyone know how to take a rotated picture, pull it into imovie and then have it stay rotated instead of reverting back to the sideways nature it originally was? I would appreciate anyones help.
I took pictures off of my pc and imported them from a cdr. Some of the pictures were taken sideways. Im able to rotate them in iphoto, but when I drag them into imovie they go back to being sideways.

    Welcome to the forums.
One option would be to Export the photos from iPhoto (they should reflect your rotations) and then import to iMovie. If this is all you're doing in iPhoto, you could also use Preview to handle the rotations.

  • N82 Auto Rotate (Accelerometer) Problem !

Anyone has problem with auto rotate? My N82 its kinda very hard to auto rotate. I do know it will not rotate on stand by screen and only rotate anti clock wise. The phone is just 2 weeks old, the auto rotate just work fine for the first week. Suddenly i notice when i rotate the phone, the display won't rotate. I need to shake the phone very hard then it will rotate. At first i think maybe its because by 3rd party application, so i decided to upgrade the firmware so it will remove all data and fix the problem. But there were no upgrade available, so i decided to reinstall the firmware. After done reinstall the firmware, i found out the problem still there. Than i remember that N82 will preserve all user data. So the 3rd party apps still there. So i remove all the apps manually and then restart the phone. But the auto rotate still had the problem. So i think maybe its related to memory because i restore all the messages and contacts from my old N73. So i delete all the messages and contacts and restart the phone, but still the same. Than i call NOKIA helpline to ask about the problem. They suggest me to full format without preserve user data and only NOKIA care center can do that. So the next day i went to nearest NOKIA care center to get my phone full format. But after almost 2 hours waiting, i collected my phone and get it tested there. But the auto rotate still problem. I so frustrated, so i ask the technician there about the problem. They said its work fine when they just finished format it. They said maybe its hardware problem. They ask me to go to the HQ b'coz they do not have the tool and parts to repair it and it will took ages to wait. So then again the next day i went to HQ to get my phone checked. I arrived there around 5pm. They say, its kinda late and i need to leave my phone there to get it checked. They said if i came earlier i can get my phone checked and fixed within the same day. So, i leave my phone there and they kinda promise me that my phone will get fixed the next day. The next day before i go to pick up my phone i call them to check the status off my phone, they said they haven't check my phone yet. It's already 2PM, and i ask when my phone will get fixed, they said they cant be sure and they will call me later. After done talking with them, i get dressed and drove there to ask personally about my phone. I cant wait any longer. I just bought the phone only for 2 weeks and haven't finish and bored played with it yet. So i arrived there around 3:30PM. So i ask them about my phone, they said it cant be done by today because they already had my phone disassembled and need to wait for the parts. When i heard about my phone had been disassembled, my heart it like had been crushed. There goes my money, i felt so frustrated and its just a waste of money to buy that phone. They didn't even bother to replace the phone and get me to wait and for how long i don't even know. And now i am so **bleep** off after they had wasted my MONEY / TIME / ENERGY / EFFORT.
I am still waiting from NOKIA about my phone and like to know if any of you guys here had the same problem?

I do not fully understand the word "lethargic". I know its not will be perfect, but my N82 do not auto-rotate at all. Like i said, i need to shake it very hard to make it auto-rotate. If its only me, why NOKIA has to disassembled the phone and replace the motherboard. Thats what make me felt frustrated. I just bought the phone for 2 weeks. The phone its not cheap, and i am not rich you know.
About going or taking it to service center. Its not i don't like to go there or their service is bad. The thing is, i have to go there 3 times and still my phone don't get fixed. And then i need to wait and i do not know for how long i must wait. Again, like i said. My phone is new and only 2 weeks old. I don't get to play much with it and had to send for service. Why don't they just replace the phone with new one. I still have other work to do other than going to service center.
Again, again and again. Why i must do all this for a new phone?
I think anyone will agree with me about this.

  • Rotated Portraits problem

    Rotated Portraits problem
A new camera had an auto rotate feature turned on without my knowing about it. When imported into iPhoto, the photos came in as normal, including the portraits being imported as landscape as with my older camera without the auto rotate feature. (Apparently, this version of iPhoto, 5.0.4, does not know about auto rotates.) I then rotated all of the portraits with the iPhoto Rotate menu item, which on the surface, seemed to work correctly.
The problem showed up when I exported some of the portraits into iMovie. The photos which were rotated in iPhoto, came into iMovie as Landscape. (Apparently, iMovie doesn’t know about auto-rotates either.).
The bad part of all of this is when I attempted to “Revert to Original” some of the portraits in iPhoto, none of them reverted to Landscape. Looking in the “Originals” folder, I observed that the portrait originals were also rotated, which they should not be. Reverting to original simply moves that rotated portrait to the folder one level up in the directory (the one with dated folders) and deletes it from the Originals folder.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so, is there a way to correct it?
(BTW, Final Cut Express also has a problem with these photos and rotating them there is not as easy as within iMovie.)

    Terence Devlin wrote:
The problem showed up when I exported some of the portraits into iMovie.
How did you export to iMovie?
The photos were dragged from the iPhoto viewer pane directly into the iMovie timeline. The very same behavior occurs when importing the photos into Final Cut Express, either by way of the Browser or directly into the FCE timline.
Photo, seeing the flag, reads the intention and creates a modified version.
I assume you meant iPhoto (first word above)
If you then try to Revert to Original, iPhoto will remove the edited version. However, when it then looks at the Original file again, it sees the flag, and creates a new rotated version. This loop will run as long as you Revert to the Original.
How certain are you about that. I don't believe iPhoto 5 knows about the auto-rotate tag in the exif file. If it did, it would have rotated the portraits as they were being imported. The portraits all came in landscape and had to be rotated later as with my older camera without this feature.

  • DLP Picture problem

    Hi,
All of a sudden I've been getting this.. almost static picture problem. It exists above my tv feed as well as the TV menus and text. You can see it below. It's a 72MX195 if that helps.
    Any ideas?

Unfortunately if it's on top of the menus as well, it sounds like it likely requires servicing. I'm sorry.
