Rotating still photo 180 degrees??

I have imported photos into FCX and require to have them rotate 180 degrees from small to large. What process do I go through to do this?

Select the images. Go to the inspector and under transform change the rotation value.

  • CR in vs 2005 (whatever version that it) - rotate a textobject 180 degrees.

I am sure that this horse has been flogged before ... somewhere ... but I have given up endlessly searching for it.
I need to rotate a report (onto a label, in fact) 180 degrees ... sometimes. The labels have a pre-printed footer and, depending on the label manufacturers, they may be inverted. I cannot trust that the user will be able to create a custom label to suit my needs so I must use a default 4"x2.5" portrate label as my "default" label.
I know that CR only allows limited rotation so how do I mimic a text object rotated 180 degrees?
    Any ideas????

  • I need help with iPhoto slideshow.  I can't "save" changes. Particularly the rotate feature.  I rotate a photo 90 degrees... and the next time I play it...it's back to original.  Sideways!  Very frustrating.

How do I save changes on iPhoto slideshow.  I rotate a photo... then it reverts back to original (sideways) next time it plays.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
is your slideshow from an album or from the slideshow mode?
    what theme are you using?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

  • HT2478 Why does the desktop photo application rotate my photos 90 degrees?

I have attached an image. The folder my photos are stored in is located below the Desktop and Screensaver app.
Notice that the orange arrows point from photos that are properly oriented in the folder they are saved in, but for some reason they are rotated when the desktop app pulls them up.
Does anyone know why this happening and how I can correct it?
    Thank you for the help
    Michael

That's one of the "Features" of iPhoto, it tags photos as rotared instead of actually rotating them, many other Apps will not recognize the tag & display them as they really are stored.
GraphicConverter has a powerful Browse Folder function, & many tools for manipulation, & you can keep your Pics wherever you want...

  • Using external LG monitor with 180 degrees rotated display

    Hey everyone,
I just got a 19" widescreen LG monitor and I have it mounted upside down, so I rotated the display 180 degrees. However, when I move my mouse over links, the arrow jumps a little and is incredibly aggrivating. Has anyone seen this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? It happens in Safari too and I already tried re-calibrating my monitor and restarting. Thanks.

Me too, but my LG monitor just stopped working after I installed the recent "Thunderbolt Firmware Update".
Literally the monitor was working yesterday. This morning I installed the update and now it's broken. Great update.
    Anyone have a fix?

  • Rotate print 180 degrees

I am having problems with printing from SAP to an HP laserjet 4350 printer. The HP printer driver has the facility to rotate the page 180 degrees and works fine when printing test pages from the windows print server.
When printing from SAP to the network printer the page does not rotate.
Anyone any ideas as to how to fix this.
    Regards..

    Hi,
You may need to select the appropriate HP Device Type in SAP.
Go to SPAD --> Select the ouptut device which you are using (Say LP01) --> Check the device type.

  • IPhoto randomly rotates imported photos

When I use iPhoto '08 to import photos from a Powershot A75, it rotates them apparently with neither rhyme nor reason. Some will have the original orientation, some will be rotated. This is not a setting on my camera. Two pictures taken seconds apart of the same subject with the same orientation may have one rotated the other not when imported into iPhoto. In one case, it has rotated the image 180 degrees.

    TD,
Thanks for the systematic idea. I tried your suggestion.
It is difficult to pinpoint exactly what is going on, but Image Capture and iPhoto seem to be importing the images differently regarding orientation.
Let me define my terms - what I am calling "correct" orientation is when the image on my mac screen is oriented the same way it is oriented in relation to the camera lens. That may or may not mean that items in the photo are "right side up" This is how my previous version of iPhoto imported them with this camera. I'd like them to import just as the camera "sees" them, and not be rotated at all.
So trying your suggestion, using Image Capture, 3 of 8 quick snaps appear rotated. Using iPhoto to import the same 8 pictures, only one has been rotated. It is also one that Image Capture rotated.
I tried to "revert to original" on all of them in iPhoto, which had no effect. Does this suggest a camera setting problem? I have not changed the settings on my camera. Could it be my previous version of iPhoto was ignoring the camera setting and this new version is not?
    I appreciate any suggestions.

  • Rotating video 180 degrees?

I have a special need to be able to rotate certain clips within a video 180 degrees.  I am mounting a small video camcorder in a mid-power model rocket and will be launching the camcorder to an altitude of approximately 5000'.  During the ascent (Phase 1), the video will be oriented correctly.  At apogee, the rocket will eject a small drogue parachute to create a rapid but controlled descent (Phase 2) until the altimeter senses roughly 500' altitude at which point, it will eject a large main parachute for a slow descent and soft landing (Phase 3).  During Phase 2, the camcorder will be suspended upside down from the drogue parachute.
Is there a method in Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 (or any other reasonably priced video editing software) that I can rotate the entire clip of Phase 2 (estimated at 30 to 120 seconds) by 180 degrees in order to compensate for the camcorder recording in an upside down orientation during this phase?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

If you found rotation in your particular version from the information in this 5 year old thread, then please read no further.
If you need rotation in Premiere Elements 8 as did Allan Coleman, then, for the selected clip,
    Properties Palette
Motion Panel expanded with the rotation feature found there.
If Premiere Elements 11, 12, or 13, then, for the selected clip
    Applied Effect Tab
    Applied Effect Palette
Motion Panel expanded with the rotation feature found there.

  • Seriously! I can't rotate photos 90 degrees with a two finger gesture?

I received a mms from my momz and the picture is sideways. I went to rotate the photo with the two finger gesture just like on my mac in iphoto and it didn't work. Why would they leave this out? Seriously I can't do this on the Iphone 4S!? If you know of any way to do it on the phone it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I still have to tilt the phone a bit so it goes into landscape orientation then tilt my head to line up so I can get the same relative view as if it were right side up.

Different interface? Not completly. Touchpad...Touchscreen... What is the difference? Not really a complete difference. The touchpad is not on top of the screen and the same size (two differences there but the process is the same).  I should be able to use the same gesture whether on my macpro touchpad or the touchscreen of my iphone to do the same thing with photos. They are both touch based devices. Placing two fingers on the touchpad (macPro) or the touchsreen (Iphone 4S) and then rotating each finger in the same orbit should rotate the photo.  Works in Iphoto so the same should work for photos on the Iphone.

  • Rotating a photo section

I am very new to Photoshop (4 days), having just purchased Elements 10 (I was not told that Vers 11 was available and for the same price!!!!!). Yesterday I started a new project and loaded a photo.
The photo was of a phone cord and was taken against a light blue back-drop.
I wanted to rotate to a steaper angle, a section of the cord and after a degree of searching I discovered how to do this (used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to draw a square highlighting the section to be moved and then discovered the rotational section and the freeform movement option --- these might not be exactly the correct words).
On rotating the marked section to its new angle, under where the box originally was, there was showing a grey/white checker board pattern --- why was this there?
I decided to use the Clone tool and colour in the checker board pattern, but the clone tool could not do it --- it could clone  within the still highlighted masrquee section but not in the now showing portion from where the image initially was. Why could I not clone these small sections?
I then decided to see if I could slide the photo to the right (the canvas size was somewhat larger than the image size). As I slid the image to the right, appearing under the section where the photo had been was the checker board pattern. Where did this pattern come from and how do I remove it?
Or, have I done it completely wrong!!!!!!!
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Brian

Thank you for the information --- obviously a lot to learn for a non graphic artist person (actually no visual artistic feel at all --- all artistic skill lies in music).
When I get home tonight I will give it a try.
I was actually trying to do a VERY rough draft/idea for a real graphic artist, of a proposed CD cover for one of our upcomming artist's first CD.

Hi Brian The checker board effect indicates transparency – that’s a good thing when working with layers. It indicates that the layer below can be seen through the transparent parts. Try opening your image again and keep the layers pallet open so you can see what’s happening. If you can’t see it click the menu: Window >> Layers Create a background copy layer by clicking: Layer >> Duplicate Layer >> OK Now select your rectangular marquee and draw your selection the press Ctrl+J You should see in the layers pallet that your selection has been paced on a new transparent layer. With that layer highlighted at the top of the layers pallet select the move tool from the top left of the tools pallet and move or rotate it into the position you want. To deselect the bounding box siply select another tool such as the hand or zoom and that will deselect the move tool. Now highlight your background copy layer (the middle layer in the layer stack) and choose the move tool again. You can now drag around that layer independently to re-position the background.

  • Camera still photo issue

It seems there is an issue with OS4 displaying the photos improperly when transferred or emailed. Still photos won't display properly when taken in portrait (upright). They look and display properly on the iphone itself, but not when emailed to someone. They display rotated (sideways). See for yourself
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As0QeKNaQCY

I took four pictures, one from each of the four rotations of the phone, and emailed them to my gmail account.
In the phone, they all displayed upright.
In gmail in IE, they all displayed upright.
In Outlook, only the pic taken with the phone rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise was upright. The other pictures were displayed with varying rotations.
I think it's an issue with the mail client.
