Rotating Text: in Adobe Acrobat 8.1

Under Tools/Comment & Mark up/ using the Text Box Tool command I am able to insert windowed text images to my document. The window and included text both default in a horizontal direction.
I want the window and included text to run in rotated directions dependening on the placement of existing images my inserted text is trying to identify (inserting text along a road that is shown on my document for instance). Is this possible to do in Adobe 8.1? I tried the same task using the typewriter command but to no avail.
Thanks.

How about this? When I type in text using the above routine, the default is red. Both the text and the window that surrounds out default to red. Using the properties routine I can change the window color from red to black but not the text within the box. It remains red. Is there a way to change the default so that the text I type comes in black instead of red?

  • Adding Text to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

I just downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.  I want to add text to fill out an online .pdf application form.  The problem is that that when I try to access the text box tool, it is greyed out.  Can anybody help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

No, I can't.  I am trying to fill out an application that I downloaded off of the internet.  I thought I could simply click in the area where I need to type but it won't let me.  When I use my cursor it places the cursor next to the text and then when I try to type nothing happens.
But in answer to your first question, all I want to do is add text, whichever the easiest way it is do that the better!   I have attached the form if that helps.  thanks for responding.

  • Rotate document in Adobe Acrobat Pro

    Hi All
How do I custom rotate a document in Adobe Acrobat Pro? I see that there is the option to rotate by 90 or 180 degrees but how do I rotate by just 1 or 10 degrees?
    Thank you for your help!

Not possible to arbitrarily rotate the entire page even through JavaScript.  You can rotate objects on the page but not the entire page. You will need to either use  another Adobe Tool that can rotate pages in varying degrees like Photoshop or a third party tool.

  • Justify text in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro

    Hallo!
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro v 8.1 and I ask is it possible in Adobe Acrobat while editing justify text just like in Microsoft Office Word? I tried every options and solutions but nothing found to do that. I googled on internet about this topic and I found some picture (look below). On that picture see opened Adobe Acrobat (I don't know which version) with text toolbar just like in MO Word.
Which version of Acrobat could be with that text toolbar? Is it possible at all justify text in Acrobat?
    Thanks forward for any help.

To make it appear, press "Ctrl+E". It's known as the properties toolbar and can only be active when you interact with an element (e.g., form field, text box) that allows you to edit. The properties bar changes depending on what type of element is selected and the context.
When creating a new PDF from a blank page, Acrobat allows you to use it, but as yoiu've found, when you save the document and reopen, it is no longer available. This is a special case and it will not work to change the text on a page with other documents.

  • Flowable Text Fields - Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I'm currently using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and need to design a form with 'flowable' text; how do I do this?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'flowable' text. Acrobat XI comes with FormsCentral for Acrobat. You can start there to create and generate fillable PDF forms. You can add Formatted Text elements (paragraphs of text) or multi-line text fields. Is that what you need?
With FormsCentral for Acrobat you can create unlimited numbers of PDF forms without a subscription to FormsCentral but if you want to collect data then you will need to get at least a free FormsCentral subscription.
    Hope this helps

You can't with Adobe Reader. Those are options chosen by the person that created the form.

  • How do i rotate text in Adobe Photoshop?

Hi, I am Samyak Veera from U.S.
I have a picture that I'm editing and i wanted to include some text on it. I used the Horizontal Type Tool to enter the text but now i want to rotate it a little so that it is on an angle but i can't seem to find the option to do that. How do i go about doing that in Photoshop? Suggest me the solution.
    Thanks
    Samyak Veera

    Hi Samyak Veera,
After typing your text click the check-mark to commit and then select the move tool from the top of the tools pallet. You should see a bounding box appear around your words with four corner handles. Hover your mouse around one of the corners until the cursor changes to double rotation arrows. You can then change the angle to your liking and re-commit. You can also click in the middle of the box to drag it around if you need to re-position.

  • Changing the text in Adobe Acrobat Professional 8

I have tried everything... and have spent hours over the past few weeks seeking help from google searches, to no avail. I am trying to fill out a PDF doc that has multiple sections in which text needs to be added. However, I cannot change the font or the color of the text. The only thing I am able to do is "size up" or "size down" the text on my typewriter toolbar. There are only four items that I can click in the Typewriter toolbar: The size up, and size down options and the two line spacing options. There is noting pertaining to font or color. Do I just have a version that is incapable of making the necessary text changes or am I missing something?

You'd need to add form fields to the document.  It sounds like you're using the Typewriter tool now, which is very limited in terms of customization.   You could try opening the Properties Bar (CTRL +E), though I can't remember if Acro8 lets you change the font/color of the Typewriter tool.
Otherwise, using the Form tools to add text fields to your document will give you the control you're looking for.

  • How do you grey out a radio button if a text field is blank in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

How do you grey out a radio button if a text field is blank in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?
So this what I'm trying to do:
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    (     )   |                  |
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    I have a radio button: (     )
    and a text field: |TEXT FIELD|
The third text field is blank, and I would like for the radio button next to it greyed out (user can't click on it) since the text field is blank. Is this possible to achieve? I'm assuming I'll have to use javascript, but what would the code be and would it be entered in the javascript editor for the text field or the radio button?
    Thanks in advance guys

Hey, thanks, but it didn't work
I have the text fields as read only. Could that be why it's not working? Should I make the fields not read only?
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro text box not printing and is hidden under box highlight.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.13.  I am completing a form with text box throughout the document. I can no get the text box to printing and the text is hidden under box highlight.  I have tried printing with the print feature 'Comments & Forms/ Document and Markups' with no luck.

It's doing that because you have field highlighting enabled. YOu can either turn it off or make the field read-only (if it's only used for display and not entry).

The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
    What can I do?
    thank you a lot.

There is no product called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. There is
    - Adobe Acrobat Pro ($$)
    - Adobe Reader (free)
Which do you have? And are you a programmer?

This usually occurs if you use a browser that uses its own PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html
