Rotating uploaded font at Zebra in SmartForms

Hi.
I'm designing a label for a Zebra printer with smartforms.
I've uploaded a TrueType font to the printer and I've defined it at SAP at SE73.
I'm doing tests and when I put normal text at label, printer prints in landscape format, but when I'm trying to print with the TrueType font stored at the printer, it prints in portrait format.
I think may be was the font, but doing tests, I've seen than if I send a plain text file with commands:
^XA
^A@ZCSS2R,90,50
FDFFFS
^XZ
it rotate it well... How can I do it with smartforms?
The name of the font is ZCSS2.

Lets suppose that u want to upload the verdana font.
goto se73 transaction->click the system font radio button->
now click the last button true->type font installrein->u will be asked to enter the family name->give ZVERDANA.
Now u need to upload 4 files
Normal
Bold
Bold-italic
and italic
while uploading the normal verdana do not check any boxes
execute the program and u will be prompted for the file
u can get it from c\windows\fonts
type in the file name which will be verdana.ttf
now the normal font is uploaded
for uploading bold, check the bold check box and upload verdanab.ttf
same is for italic and bold italic
Each time u try to add a new file to same name ZVERDANA it will prompt u. Click the Y button to include the 4 files under the same name ZVERDANA
I hope you understand.you can do this way.
Use the progarm RSTXSF01 to instal new font

Converting Barcode font EAN-13 from Smartform to PDF

Hi Guys,
We are printing barcode font EAN-13 in smartform and convert it to PDF through FM.
But when the barcode is printed in PDF, its not recognised by the barcode reader. Its not look the same when it printed in Smartform.
Anyone come across this issue..?

hi sam,
can u check the the smartform when u run in system if it is pdf fine (pdf!).it so then i think the problem lies in printer configuration in spad..

Hello Lennart,
You probably need an application from the printer supplier. The EFI 'Fiery' RIPs have a utility called Fiery Downloader, which allows you to download Type 1 fonts to the HD.
Check out www.efi.com (you will have to register to download).

Font Problem: Zebra label print

I'm designing label print with Zebra Z4MPlus, I can rotate the text in 90 degree, but the problem is the printed font is so ugly and letters are twisted together, I take the font 'HELVE', it should be all right, how can I solve it?!
Any suggestion will be appreicated!

Smart form rotate 90 degrees with Zebra printer

We are using smart form to design label which need be printed by Zebra printer, and the label need be printed in landscape. Currently we are using the Zebra command '^FWR' in smartform to rotate the field in each window, but the rotated format is very strange. Can anyone let me know how the rotate command work?
It would be highly appreicated if an rotate example can be provided.

The Zebra command ^FWR rotates each individual field by 90 degrees (clockwise). But then you'll have to adjust position of each field again for landscape output.
In ZPL II printer language is no command for rotating label by 90 degrees. The printer driver doesn't understand "orientation=LANDSCAPE".
A slightly better solution could be to define a smartform with portrait orientation. Add a "command node" in first window and enter attribute name "S_LZPL_SETUP" with value '^FWR'.
Please note that this command doesn't has an effect on barcodes. They have their own parameters for rotation. Please define these parameters in SE73 for each barcode type your're using.

Print Inverse - White Font on Black Background (Smartform)

Hello everyone
I've not found a solution for my problem in SDN and also not in the internet.
So I open a new thread.
I would like to print a white color on a black background. I've already created a smartform with a white font and a black box.
The preview looks good, it shows exactly what I need.
But when I print it out only the black box appears (white font is not "printed").
Is this a driver-problem?
We are using HP-printers with type HPLJ4000 (SPAD).

First, thank you for your help!
As we had another problems with our printers, I've found the solution for this.
It depends on the device type, which you can maintain in SPAD.
We used "HPLJ4000" for a while and this type don't supports all background colors.
So I changed this to "POST2" and now it runs.

Use transaction SE73 and select 'True-Type font installieren'. You will be able to see this font in the WAD.

Font size increases when smartform is sent as email attachment

Hi,
I am facing a problem with font size of smartforms. when the output medium is printer, the form looks good. but when i convert smartform into PDF and send as email attachment, the font siz increases and text is getting truncated. Please help me solve this problem.

If still there is a problem, please do share a code.
Also check sending a PDF document from your system via a Email(Outlook), and open the same in a different system and look for the changes.

Why cant I rotate uploaded pictures?

Some pictures will rotate after uploading and some will not. The ones that will not cannot be edited and saved. It states there is a problem with the picture's properties. None of the suggested ( by windows) fixes work. It seems random. Wondering if the orientation of the phone during photo capture is the problem. I have tried every combination I can think of.

I too have this problem with random photos. You'll have to use photo editing software to rotate it.

Power Point upload,, fonts lost

When uploading powerpoint files, we use a custom templet for
all presentations, the fonts are lost. How can we insure that the

Quick question: Are you hosting your own content, or are you
using Adobe's server?
I ask, because at one point, Adobe had a Tech Note regarding
the use of fonts (see Tech Note

but admittedly, that was an issue back with Breeze 5.1.
I did some digging around and came up with another Tech Note
regarding font usage:

but I think that was also another Breeze 5.1 issue.
As far as I understood, I could have sworn I saw some
information about font issues being rectified if content was hosted
on their servers, but that also meant if you were using a
"non-standard" font (meaning anything other than Arial, Helvetica,
Verdana, Times, etc), then that font set had to be installed on the
server displaying your content, otherwise, everything would default
to Arial or Times as needed.
When you say "upload powerpoint files" are you talking about
posting your deck to the Content Library for viewing in a virtual
meeting, or is the content being used merely as Training /
e-Learning material?
I'll try to do some more poking around and see if I find
anything else related to this.

Customizing font size ,format in smartform....

I m tried to create new style,and created t zstyle with paragraph format as A1 Arial, bold Italic
and character format as C1 Times, Bold with font size as 15, and standard paragraph has A1.
I checked and activated it succesfully.
I used this zstyle in Form attributes>output options>style> zstyle, and n the specified windows and tables.
But the output hasn't changed to the new style format,i m getting only the standard format, nothing has changed ...
so, give me a soln how to do this and ay corrections i have to make....

Check these points
1. Make sure the Smart style is active.
2. Have you applied the Paragraph and Character format to smartform text. Just mentioning the style as zstyle in attributes will not cause any change.
Character format must be specified like <B>Terms of Prices :</>
3. Try the print preview with actual printer and not with "LP01" or "LOCL"

PO Fonts in Bold using smartforms

We are using smartforms.
We are using the SO10 Text for the Labels.
we are storing the Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other labels in SO10 like Sales Contact, Payments Terms in the above languages.
But when we click on the PO output form we are not able to get any of the labels in Bold.
We have tried doing bold in so10 but it does not work. It does not show up in bold in the PO output form.
Is there a way to accomplish this in smartforms

For declaring Internal table in Form Interface you need to do like this:
IT_KOMV LIKE KOMV
The structure you are giving in Associated Type should exist in DATA Dictionary(TCode -SE11). If the structure you are passing ITAB_HOLD does not exist in DATA Dictionay then you need to create it Otherwise you can not pass the data to smartform.
ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION:
And you can also declare internal table in TYPES Tab of "Global Definations" in smartform.
If you have declared ITAB_HOLD by your own the you might be filling it with different structures. Then insted of passing ITAB_HOLD in smartform pass different tables to smartform.
Declare Internal Table in TYPES Tab of "Global Defination". And fill it with the different tables you are getting from Form interface. To fill this internal table create PROGRAM LINES & concatenate the data of different tables into Internal table. & use it.
You can Pass N numbers of tables & structures in smartfroms Form interface.

Upload Fonts to iMovie HD? (Flameth me not!)

Hi all! ~ I want to add new fonts to iMovie HD (5.0.2) but can't locate the font suitcase for iMovie. Location, anyone?
I checked the archive, and indeed found this very issue addressed, HOWEVER - I can't find the relevant font folder that iMovie accesses. The answer to the previous query was simple: "Like you do with fonts for any other program."
I ran a search for all font folders, and placed the new font in each folder to no avail. Does iMovie have its own font suitcase? If so, where, pray tell, does it lie? I've googled and googled for this info and found zilch, beyond the aforementioned, distressingly Microsoftian response.
Any help here is much appreciated!
