Rotating Video Cut Off Once Exported

Hello,
I am creating a video in Premiere Pro CS3.  I am placing a video clip within it that I am rotating using keyframes and when the image is displayed on the monitor it rotates perfectly and the entire images is included.  However, when I export it out (either through a direct export or with the media encoder) the lower part of the image gets cropped off while rotating, and it is just black.  It does not do this within premiere pro.  How can I fix it so that the entire video image is seen as rotating?  I tried making the size of the video clip that is rotating itself smaller so that the whole thing fits within the frame, yet this does nothing, for some reason, when exported out, the bottom portion of the video is cropped out (even though it all fits and is seen as rotating).  This seems totally mysterious to me.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

My best GUESS would be your PAR is "going off" during the process... such as (example here, may not be real numbers) a regular 4:3 video has a par of .9 and widescreen 16:9 has a par of 1.2
You do not tell what your source file is (what kind/codec) and also no information about your output

  • 16:9 video sides cut off when exported from After Effects

When I export a 16:9 video from After Effects, the sides are cut off in the exported clip.  I've tried different export settings and and my composition settings are correct, from what I can tell. Does anyone know why this could be happening?
    Thanks!

and my composition settings are correct, from what I can tell.
But are they really? We cannot know, because you don't say anything about your exact render settings and comp settings, which is what is required here. You could be using an unsuitable CoDec or even crop your output inadvertently by using a specific output module setting....

  • Strokes on appearance is getting cut off when exporting for web & Devices

I'm a screen print artist using Adobe Illustrator CS5 in windows 7(blah!) to export images of our customers' artwork into a huge folder of images on a server. The images are then loaded into a program so that they can be viewed company-wide and by the customer.
Occasionally, when there is an appearance applied to text it seems to cut off the tops and/or bottoms of the outermost stroke. This seems to be only happening to text, and happens randomly and is very annoying. See the image attached.
it does this with both JPEG and PNG images, and whats more, changes when you adjust the image size. it either gets better or worse. I have to change the image size on every export so that they are all within our size requirements.
I have found that if you put the art into an envelope with all the settings at 0 and then export for web it prevents this from happening. However, that isn't very efficient as i need to be moving a ton of artwork a day, and I am not the only person who may be working on the Illustrator file.
Is there any setting either in illustrator or windows that may be causing this anomaly?

    Try adding:
Effect >> Path >> Outline Object
So  your type will still be editable
If that does not work you may want to:
    Type: Create Outline
I only had this problem once before, on some snickerdoodle cookies package, and that was a script font. Might be related to the font you use.

  • Sides of Keynote presentation cut off when exported to iDVD

    Hi,
I have a keynote presentation with the slides set to 800X600 that I am trying to burn to a DVD. I am able to burn fine but when it plays on my DVD player and CRT Samsung TV, the sides of the slides are cut off so that the first and last letters of many lines are not viewable. I also tried on a friend's TV with the same results The DVD looks fine when playing on my iMac but it's widescreen.
I first tried exporting the keynote presentation as a quicktime movie set to full quality 800X600. The next time I exported to iDVD which first exported to a quicktime movie with a size of 720X540. I thought that would fix it but that presentation also has the sides cut off. The iDVD project is using a standard 4:3 aspect ration. Should I try a widescreen project or won't that make more of the slide disappear. Any help would be much apprecitated.

Your problem is that while on a monitor, you can see the entire picture. Any DVD player connected to a standard television is going to show, at most, 90% of the image...some may only show 80%. This is due to something called Overscan on televisions. To account for this overscan, you have to make sure that as you're creating your presentation, you have nothing near the edges.
A good rule of thumb is to create an area that's 80% of the size of your presentation (in 4:3 resolutions, widescreen, you only have to worry about the right and left) and, as you're creating, keep dropping this shape onto your presentation slides to make sure you're inside it. Then, you'll be pretty sure that even on the worst televisions, all you information will show.

  • Top of video cut off

I have just loaded iMovie for iPhone 4 & have built a few projects. ALL of the video is resized to smaller & by doing so, the video is cut off at the top. Any ideas??? (the original clips are full size, nothing cut off)

Are you editing "tall" videos into a "wide" project?
And are you looking at the final video or a preview, rather then the small edit window?

  • Video Cut Off At Edges... Need Formatting???

You know how a regular DVD says that it's been formatted to fit your screen when you first play it? I want to know how to get my iTunes videos to do the same thing. Even as a full-screen movie (as opposed to a wide-screen version) the edges are cut off like the edge of the screen is covered by cloth. Is there a way to fix this so that I can actually enjoy my purchases??? Please help!

    Thanks, again.
If it's a driver issue, then unfortunately I have to use Dell's latest driver for my laptop's card, which I have, but Dell hasn't put out a new driver for my system in well over a year.
On the browser side, I only have IE9 installed, and while I can try installing Chrome or whatever, I thought maybe there may have been a quick setting, .ini file, etc., for I could edit, before going in that direction...
I'll post if Chrome has the same issue, but I'm going out drinking tonight first... (priorities )

  • Right side of placed images being cut off when exported to PDF

    Hi all,
I'm a beginner still trying to wrap my mind around InDesign and all its features, and have encountered a problem with exporting to PDF. The right-most 1-4 pixels are cut off! I think my problem may be related to what was discussed in this thread:
Indesign, Image problem with PDF export... right side cut-off...
But my issue has nothing to do with Visio. I'm simply placing PNG and JPG files that have already been created and are stored locally on my computer. I found that the only way to solve this is to add a few pixel columns of white/empty space to my images so the right side frame line in the images (created by Adobe Illustrator) appear.
Having to alter my images first before placing them in InDesign is obviously not the best or the correct solution.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem and how to correct it? Maybe there's a setting somewhere for image frames that needs to be adjusted?

    Hello again Willi,
    1. I'm using CS6 Version 8.0
    2. Umm... well, I'm VERY embarrassed to say Windows XP (my company is purchasing a new computer for me - I'm using what they have on hand at the moment...).
    3. The graphics are coming from Adobe Illustrator installed on a separate Windows 7 computer. I have a graphic designer colleague who creates images for the installation manuals I put together.
    4. Actually just this morning yet another colleague pointed out that PDF was the better format to use. Yet again I'm VERY embarrassed to say that I used to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create these manuals, and PowerPoint can't import PDF images. I'm trying hard to work with more professional software! That's why my colleague sent me PNG images.
    5. Here's a screenshot below. Remember I'm the guy who asked you that user manuals question in the other thread.
To explain: the first step's image is in PDF format. The image's border appears fine. The second step's image is in PNG format, and yes, not only does the quality appear to be poorer, but even worse is the fact that the right side border is cut off. This is the same for the same image in JPG format. The other steps don't have images - they're just empty image frames with strokes specified in InDesign.
Sure, we can use PDFs from now on, but still, the fact that other formats have this issue is bothersome. In Microsoft PowerPoint this wasn't an issue. Any idea?

  • Video Cut Off

I recently purchased a 3rd gen nano from a friend, when i add video's and movies it cuts off the sides of the videos. When playing a music video i cannot see the first 3 or four letters of each line (artist, song, album, etcetera). Any ideas?

Computer monitors display images from edge to edge. Television monitors, on the other hand, overscan images, or crop the outer edges. What's more, the amount of overscan differs from one television monitor to another.
Because of overscan, only the inner 90 percent of the full screen is considered action safe. That is, you should restrict any important onscreen actions to this area.
The inner 80 percent of the image is known as title safe. Because you usually can't afford to lose any part of a title, you need a greater margin of error. If you're going to output your project as full-screen video, you'll need to respect the title-safe zone or suffer the consequences,
In DVD SP, there are guides that you can superimpose on the screen to assist you. Remember to learn your application and its capabilities.

  • Text gets cut off when exported to PDF

When I export my report to PDF some of my text gets cut off where it would meet the right edge of the text box by 1 or 2 letters.
This only happens when I export to PDF through my web application or when I export it throught the Report Manager URL
If I export it on my local copy of SSRS then it shows up fine without the text getting cut off

    Hi,
You can set the Cangrow property of the textbox to true which allows to grow your textbox and is default for any text box unless you have changed it.

I have a document with horizontal lines that are set to 'dot'. When I export to PDF, the lines are missing dots. It's always the second dot from the left:

  • Videos cut off after a few seconds (MacBook Air)

In the last few days, I haven't been able to play videos on my original MBA: they start, but freeze after a few seconds. I've tried the usual housekeeping - rebooting, repairing permissions, PRAM - but no luck. Can't find any relevant advice by googling.
    Any suggestions?
A separate but possibly related problem is that the sound icon is greyed out, and I can't get any sound.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
    Many thanks!

  • Firefox cutting off part of swf

Hi - I created a swf and embedded it in a page. When I test it locally, it's fine but when I upload to my test server Firefox cuts off the bottom and right, where the navigation is. I did strip down the embed code because this is going into a CMS.There are other pages on the site with swfs using the same embed code and these work properly. The same thing happened with the original html generated by Flash Catalyst - fine locally, cutting off once uploaded to server.
    Test page: http://cactapus.net/test/AAU/studyabroad/test5.html
    Swf: http://cactapus.net/test/AAU/studyabroad/Main.swf

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Cutting off video in export?

Ok when I view my sequence in the output monitor I enjoy how it looks. I export and unfortunately, parts of my video are cut off. I see that there are the safe video guides but is there a way to export the whole view. Because that means I would have to resize all of my clips that I imported. P.S. Output is set to 720 X 480 and imported clips are the same. But they still get cut off

Sure I'm hoping that there is a swith or drop down somewhere. I didn't know how hard it would be to export beyond the safe guard bounds lol
