Rotation axis is off

don't now really how to explain, but when creating a text or an object it is automatically made on some digress...it is not horizontal.
here is a print screen http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk60/mlkass/ill.jpg
hope someone can help
Thanks

When I "Alt click" with the rotation tool, to specify a rotation angle and copy an object, Illustrator CS2 does not set a rotation point, it takes a long time for the dialog box to come on and it frizzes the program until it does. Because there's not a set rotation point, it rotates the copied object anywhere. The angle is not the
specified angle either.
I reinstalled a newly downloaded file for Illustrator CS2, which did not take care of the proble. Now when I perform the afore mentioned task, it also takes a long time to copy the object.
Please help.

  • Can You Change 3D Object Rotation Axis?

Greetings. I have created a 3d object using repousse in Photoshop (CS5 extended). The original 2d image was created in Illustrator. I have found that in both Photoshop and After Effects, when I rotate this object in 3D space, either rotating the object itself or the camera, that the axis upon which it rotates is not the 3D center of the 3D object, but rather somewhere behind it. The result is that it is rotating like the moon rotates around the earth, rather than rotating in place, like an eye moving (rotating) in an eye socket; i want the eye ball to stay in one place, but see the pupil move up and down and all around like a real eye would.
I have had no luck changing anchor points or positions of the object, even though I do have the X, Y, Z coordinates to manipulate.
Can you tell me how to adjust this anchor point, or rotation axis point, or whatever this would be called?
    Thanks.

    Not really true...
Yes it is limited but it can be altered.
I believe that photoshops 3d center point is based on the world center and not the objects center. This means that it is possibloe to move the object to the world center to fix the rotation of your object.
Open window>3d panel and just below the layers in that panel are some icon at the left side of the panel. Third icon down is the mesh tool, hold down the mouse button to bring up the pop up menu. Select the slide mesh tool. This will let you move the mesh adjust the pivot point.
The problem that I see with this, is that it is trial by error, I do not see away to visually see where the world center is.
Scratch that, at the bottom of the panel are three icons. The left of the three will turn on the ground plane. The plane does show world center.(where the red and green lines intersect is world zero)
To understand which axis is which, sinse it does not specify.  Select the 3d pan tool, then in the top tool bar, type in a value one axis at a time to see which direction the object is moving. Then repeat the process for the rotate tool and see how the object rotates around each axis.

  • 3D shapes rotation axis

Is there a way that I can automatically place the rotation axis on a 3D shape in the dead center of the shape (on the X,Y and Z axis) or do i have to just do it by hand?

If the shape was drawn with the pen tool then you have to position the shape's anchor point by hand.
If the shape was created with the Shape tools then you can reveal the transform shape properties and reset the position property to 0,0
If the shape has a odd number of sides, like a triangle, this will not work properly so you will have to eyeball the shape center.
I usually use the Transform properties for the shape for this instead of using the Layer Anchor point  because it is easier to be accurate with even sided shapes than using the layer's anchor point or the anchor point tool.

  • How to have rotated axis labels in charts without embedding fonts?

    Hi all,
I am trying to have slant/rotated axis labels in flex charts to avoid clutter in cases of large number of sample points. It was fairly easy to do this using 'labelRotation' method in AxisRenderer but this involved embedding fonts [ causes my swf to increase in size by atleast a 100KB which in my case is very high ]. My question is.. Can this be done without embedding the fonts? Maybe with the use of labelRenderer? Any alternatives that would solve the purpose without increase in swf size are also most appreciated as I ve been struggling with this for quiet a while.
    Thanks a ton,
    Siva

    Please check LabVIEW\Examples\picture\demos.llb\polar plot demo.vi
But it has no zooming and cursors.
Maybe you can modify that example and use XY plot instead of picture control. I mean for each function plot on the picture, you generate another function to replace it and generate XY data pairs.

  • Rotating Video Cut Off Once Exported

    Hello,
I am creating a video in Premiere Pro CS3.  I am placing a video clip within it that I am rotating using keyframes and when the image is displayed on the monitor it rotates perfectly and the entire images is included.  However, when I export it out (either through a direct export or with the media encoder) the lower part of the image gets cropped off while rotating, and it is just black.  It does not do this within premiere pro.  How can I fix it so that the entire video image is seen as rotating?  I tried making the size of the video clip that is rotating itself smaller so that the whole thing fits within the frame, yet this does nothing, for some reason, when exported out, the bottom portion of the video is cropped out (even though it all fits and is seen as rotating).  This seems totally mysterious to me.
    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

My best GUESS would be your PAR is "going off" during the process... such as (example here, may not be real numbers) a regular 4:3 video has a par of .9 and widescreen 16:9 has a par of 1.2
You do not tell what your source file is (what kind/codec) and also no information about your output

  • Basic 3d, how do I change rotation axis (anchor) point?

I have a photo in front of me. Now I'd like it to fall toward me, but when I spin the X axis, of course, the focal/center/axis point is the center of the photo. If it was falling toward you as if standing up on a table, the bottom of the photo would be the rotating point. I don't see a way to change this anchor point in the basic 3d filter - can it be done?
    Thanks!

The easiest way I found to do this is the following:
Make the layer you want to rotate in 3D (the photo, in this case) a child/sublayer of a new, empty layer.
Apply the Basic 3D effect to this new, parent layer.
Select the photo sublayer and drag it until it's relative position regarding the axis sytstem/anchor point is the one you want. After that, when you animate the Basic 3D filter in the parent layer, the photo will behave as if the axis system was offset to the location you wanted.

  • Object Rotate Axis Point

Re InDesign CS5, is there any way to fix a general preference to make objects rotate on their central point rather than, say for example, the top left box node in the case of a text box? I sometimes rotate an object and it disappears off the artwork.

This is exactly what the proxy is for:

  • My iPhone 6 will not auto rotate after installation of version 8.0.2. The auto rotate lock is off in settings and in the Kindle app, but nothing will go to landscape.

Since the installation of 8.0.2 my iPhone 6 will not auto rotate in any app. I have locked/unlocked the feature in settings several times using the command bar but to no avail. I read using the Kindle app and it also is locked in portrait whether the lock is on or off.

Actually, the OP tried that (six months ago) and it didn't work. They resolved the issue (six months ago) by updating their system software (six months ago).

  • Rotation AXIS

    Hi,
What's the diference, if one, of:
    SomeNode {
      rotationAxis : Point3D{
        x: 1
        y: 1
        z: 1
    }and
    SomeNode {
      rotationAxis : Point3D{
        x: .5 //(or any value)
        y: .5 //(or any value)
        z: .1 //(or any value)
I'm try to understand but the only one diference is when using a negative value. If none differences, why using a Point3D? It sounds a little confuse...
    Thanks.

JavaFX isn't 3D yet, far from it (despite some interesting demos), but they made provision for the future, apparently.

  • Changing axis of rotation in timeline animation.

Hi guys I am working on creating a logo with animation, and I am struggling to make a layer rotate without wobbling off of axis. I doing a transform in the timeline, and moving the anchors to the direct center of the screen when I am rotating the layer in transform mode in the timeline to save the animation. Although the layer rotates perfectly when I do it manually to before adding a point on the timeline, when I hit play, the layer wobbles out of axis. Do you guys know how to change the axis of rotation on a layer animation in the timeline?

What I would try to sove the problem would be to create rasterize layer version of your odd shape layer and add a couple of very transparent pixels so that the retangle layer's bounds would be centered over the center of the round circle part of your shape layer.

Need help with rotate on iPad II

For future reference, you might wish to keep in mind that the rotation lock control and system sound control are really confusing.  Originally, the side switch was used for rotation lock control (and a soft switch for system sounds) but IOS-3 changed the switch so that it controlled system sounds in order to keep consistency among IOS devices (a soft switch controlled rotation lock).  Then, for IOS-4, Apple made a serious mistake in attempting to pacify some whiners that actually claimed that they turned auto-rotate on and off fifty times/day and consequently the side switch is mandatory.  The result is real disaster.
The following is a C&P from a post made by Demo.  It's a better explanation that I can come up with.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • Automatic Rotation Not Working On iPad 4th Gen iOS 8.1.2

So I recently got an iPad 4 and the automatic rotation is not working at all. I have done every troubleshooting possible including a restore of 8.1.1 and then upgrading to 8.1.2 hoping it would fix the problem and still nothing. Obviously rotation lock is off and I have tried toggling it back and forth through control panel and side switch along with doing multiple hard resets and it just won't automatically rotate at all.
I know my sensor isn't broken because if I change position with the device off and turn it back on it will display the correct orientation, but only if I turn the screen off. Games and other apps that use the gyroscope/accelerometer work fine, yet somehow my automatic rotation function is just broken.
Is anyone else experiencing this same issue? Since I know my sensor isn't broken I just don't understand why this is happening since it doesn't seem like a common problem after trying to find information on the topic.

    Try reset iPad.
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

  • [iPod Touch 3G 32 GB] Auto-Rotate Funktion is not working anymore [Auto-Rotate Lock is not activated]

    Aloha, apple-community
It seems like i have a very big problem. A few months ago, i noticed first, my iPod wont rotate properly if i tilt it to the left or right sometimes. i had to tilt it twice and than it worked. But after a week, it completly stopped working. Whenever i turned my iPod to the right or left side, nothing happened.
So i had the idea to restart it, which fixed it for a short time. After the restart was done, i was able to tilt for about 2-5 mins, later the problem appeared again
Today, nothing is working. Even in Games my iPod wont tilt or even react to any motion i do...
Well, kinda novel, i know, but i want to be as precise as possible...
so here are the things i already tried:
    - Updated iTunes to 10.5.2
    - Restored to a Backup
    - Restored to the factory settings
    - Jailbreaked my iPod to downgrade to an earlier Firmware (from 5.0.1)
    - updated again to 5.0.1
    - i made sure, the rotation lock is off, so please don´t give me the advice to double tab the homebutton, swipe left and tab on the lock
    - started crying and thinking about throwing the iPod out of the window
by the way, my warranty is not active anymore...
so please guys, do you have a solution or even an advice for me?
    Greatly appreciated,
