Rotobrush changing selected areas upon export

I've been working with the rotobrush in After Effects for about a year now and never experienced this problem. I am using After Effects CC 13.0.0.214. When I add the composition to the render queue and begin rendering, it is starts to show areas that I did not select and getting rid of areas that were selected. The export setting are Quicktime file (.mov), RGB+ Alpha, Animation codec.
Basically, the final file doesn't look like what I originally selected with the rotobrush. Any idea what is happening? I already tried restarting the program, tried using .mts files, tried using .mov files. Again, never experienced this issue before in the year I've been using this feature.

In terms of frame rate, it gives me a warning on a regular basis that the frame rate is mismatched. At first it told me to change it to 59.97 and then told me to change it to 19.98. The footage was shot in 29.97 and that is what it was set to. Also, 19.98 wasn't even an option.

Flash CS5: Stage background changes to white upon export no matter what color I set it to?

As the title speaks for itself, I've been running into this problem since yesterday and couldn't figure out what is wrong with flash. Normally, I like to work with black background, so my stage background is always set to black, However, when I exported to view my project, the background changes to white. I've tried to check the preferences, setups and nothing I found suspicious is causing this.
I've tried to create a new AS 3.0 document, and still, it gives me a white background when I export to view regardless if I set the stage background to red or blue.
I've tried restarting my computer, and yet nothing is fixing it.
If anyone can help me figure out this problem, I'll gladly appreciate it! Thanks..

Thanks for the wonderful quick fix simPod_, I've deleted my mm.cfg file, but somehow this isn't permanent. It should do for now except the hassle of deleting the file and restarting flash. If anyone else have a permanent solution to this, I'll gladly appreciate any responses. Thanks!

Is it possible to make changes on object selection area???

Hi friends,
I wanna ask a question about portal.
When we connect to portal we choose corporate documents , there are files of departmants like hr, it, corporate general ...
We want some changes in object selection area of these files. For example when we get into object selection area of IT there are objects like favorites, others, personel documents, common document, common documents.
My question is
Can we deduct or hide some of these objects from object selection area? If we can, how can we do it?

Hi,
We can hide those options by implementing the Layoutsets. If you need to hide those options for standard admin user itself, then you need to change the standard Layoutsets, which is not recommended. These options are defined in the "Command Group" of the Layoutsets.
You can Navigate to Layoutsets thru below path.
Sys Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management ->Content Management -> User Interface -> Settings -> Layoutset
Tweaking over the Layoutset Command group properties will hide the options which you mentioned.

So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

Avoiding leaving outline or selected area after changing exposure

Hi,
Hope this finds you well.
I am trying to lower the exposure in an area of a photo by selecting it and than playing with the exposure. Regardless of the selection tool I use, it always leaves a mark or outline of the selected area because the exposure in that area has changed.
How can this be avoided?

Sure, as you can see, there are noticeable lines around the lamps in the front left that were left over after selecting the area, adding an exposure adjustment layer and playing with the exposure.

For the sake of clarity and to save people time, Todd is asking about the behaviour of the Patch tool when using it to repair the area next to the young lad's head. Todd gets a blurred dark tone pretty much regardless of the options he uses.
IMO that's what I would expect to happen because of the close proximity of the other image elements i.e. the lad's neck and the strong lines of his shirt. I would not choose to use the Patch tool in this situation. Content Aware Fill makes a better stab at it.

Export Selected Area | Motion 3

Trying to export a selected area on my canvas only. I have created a 3 screen video intro and need to export each "screen area" separately. Is it possible to select a pixel area to export only?

What problems are you encountering? Either uncheck the layers you don't want and export or use the selection tool to select the object and then export selection.

It is possible by customize the control by its template, see this for more information:
ListViewItem styles and templates.
By changing the selected visual state, you can change the color of the ListView item background, also the size of the selected item.

Has anyone seen this? All by "c's" in a font are "blocks" upon export!

It was a fairly short (test) project. Upon export, every "c" in my text was "blocked." What gives?

Nope. It's Helvetica, factory-installed FCPX. (Not 3rd party.) Never had the problem before. Doesn't happen with other fonts. I re-exported ("shared") and the blocks disappeared.
Then... it showed up again intermittently. Trashed prefs. Yep. It's a genuine bug, even if it's one-of-a-kind that is particular to my system, at this moment.
I'm not terribly worried. But, I'll be interested to see if it replicates itself inside other machines running 10.0.8. Hopefully folks will, literally, keep us "posted."

In J1IIN the excise invoice type is not getting changed to BOND for Export

Hi Experts,
In ECC 6.0 I am trying to create an Excise Invoice (Export) but the system in J1IIN is not allowing me to change Excise invoice type to Bond (deemed is reflecting in Blue), some more details are as follows:
The Customer is for Country India, the currency is INR, the series group is 20 (export), the sale order is of Export, the customer pricing proc in the customer master is same as what we select for other exports customers.
I have checked the configuration in IMG---LOGISTICS GENERAL--TAX ON GOODS MOVEMENTS-INDIA---BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS-OUT GOING EXCISE INVOICE---MAINTAIN DEFAULT EXCISE GROUPS AND SERIES GROUPS, the EXPORT column is blank.
Please advice as to how I will be able to get the export under bond in Excise Invoice type

Please note that in order to change the excise invoice type to Bond, System has to meet the below to requirement.
1. Currency should be foreign ( I mean other than local currency, In case of India currency is INR) OR
2. Ship to Party should be outside the country.
By going through your comments, I understand that what ever excise invoice type is reflected in the excise invoice i.e,Deemed is correct only.
If you want to treat this is as export then check the above mentioned two points..

How to keep photo files in order upon export?

My wife has imported two sets of files from two different cameras into iPhoto. Due to date/time stamping errors in the cameras these files did not import in the order she hoped. Consequently she created an Album and renamed and reordered the .jpg files, and all looked good. However, she would now like to export these files into a folder, with each file retaining its current order/place, and burn this to a flash drive. The end product is to be a Powerpoint presentation on a PC which will be developed by a friend. The problem is that upon export of the .jpgs into a desktop folder, the order of the files in the album is not retained. I suspect that the original metadata is taking over. Is there a way that she can export these in the order she has in the album? Thank you.

Here's one (of several) way(s) to do what you want:
Make an Album of the photos, then drag the pics into your preferred order.
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.

Benefits - How to change work area?

Hello!
I'm opening an IMG path for benefits. I currently have 2 benefit areas defined in the system (1 is newly created).
The thing is, everytime I click on a subpath, e.g. Define First Program Grouping or Define Second Program Grouping under IMG: PM -> Benefits -> Flexible Admins -> Programs, it always show this message "You are currently working in benefit area XX".
My question is: How to change the work area to another Benefit Area?

Problem solved.
Seems like it is reading from memory.
So i just go to some other view where I can select a Benefit Area upon working on it.
So when I go back to the path that I want to work on, now the work area is under the Benefit Area that I want .

Slideshow creates massive white borders upon export, but doesn't show prior to export

Any ideas? This is driving me up the wall. Images are sized properly for the slideshow size (1080P). Guides are set to 0px.

Try using a different graphics type for your logo. Some don't translate well to Word. I used to know which ones were compatible but that was long ago and the list may have changed.

In Lightroom 4, is it possible to change the resolution when exporting to Facebook?

Is it possible to change the resolution when exporting a photo to Facebook using either the regular plugin or Jeffrey Friedl's plugin? I can't seem to do it; I only have control over the image dimensions, not the resolution and the dimensions, as you can see in the screen shots below:

I can't find the option to control the resolution when I try to export to Facebook. Before I got Lightroom 4, I would create whole new low-resolution files of images I wanted to post online using Photoshop. The image size settings I would use are a longest edge of 10 inches at 72ppi, and I would like to continue doing this. If I can only set the longest side to 720 pixels (I can't even seem to set the longest edge to an inches value - I can only choose a pixels value) and not change the resolution from 300ppi to 72ppi, then my photos' longest edge will only be less than 3 inches long (right?). Thus, I really want to be able to upload low-resolution photos to Facebook via Lightroom with the ability to change both the resolution and the image dimensions. Any idea how to do it without having to export to my hard drive first? Thanks!

You can set it to whatever you like, and it makes no difference. Most of the time (depending on how you saved it), it will still open as "72".
When you save an image for web, the resolution is usually stripped from the file. It's simply not there anymore. That's probably what happens in the Lr facebook module, and that's why there's no entry for it.
But when you open that image somewhere else, that default of 72 ppi is assigned. Most apps need to know what to do with a file if asked to print it out. So there is a default, and that's usually 72, mostly by convention. With that default ppi, it prints out at a comparable size to what you see on screen at 1:1 display.
And when people see that, they think "hey, web images are 72 ppi". But they're not - that figure is just inserted there by the opening application.

Selection Area in an OpenGL GLAnimCanvas

I need to make an selection area by clicking and draging with the mouse. I have an GLAnimCanvas (Open GL canvas object) that is inherited from java.awt.Canvas.
I have an addMouseMotionListener() and an addMouseListener() that detects correctly the events on the GLAnimCanvas... But I don't know how to display the rectangle of the selection area dragging with the mouse...
I tried with the example I found on the sun site (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/painting/overview.html#repaint)
but it seems that there is a problem with the paintComponent(Graphics g) method...
Is there anybody who has an idea ??

You may want to use openGL calls instead of
java.awt.Graphics otherwise you would lose hardware
acceleration for drawing the box. These calls would
be made within gl4java's GLAnimCanvas display()
method. Basically, if your GLAnimCanvas implements
MouseListener and MouseMotionListener you can change
the box coordinates within the appropriate method
(e.g. mouseDragged, mousePressed) and have the box
rendering code within display()Not necessarily. Java2D is accelerated in version 1.4
