Rounding in Adobe

Hi,
I am haivng a problem in Adobe. When I upload the excel data to Adobe and click on Submit button, they decimal values get posted into SAP. This is fine.
However when for the second time, when again trying to Submit the same data from within the same adobe, the decimal values are getting rounded. What could be problem?
Had anyone faced the same?
Regards,
Narendra.

Now that's interesting, I would like to know how are you uploadiing Excel data into Adobe form?
Do you manually copy each cell or paste complete row from excel into Adobe Table?

  • Adobe Flash 10.1.82.76, IE version?

So I'm sure most of us know about the latest round of Adobe Flash/Reader vulnerabilities. I've been watching patch management every day to be able to test out the latest 10.1.82.76 upgrade and today I noticed it popped up, but I appear to only have the non-IE browser version.
Has anyone gotten the IE version of 10.1.82.76 yet? All I show today is...
Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 (Other Browsers) for Windows (Full/Upgrade) (All Languages)
Adobe APSB10-16 Flash Player 10.1.82.76 (Other Browsers) for Windows (Update) (All Languages)

I have the IE Flash update but we use French updates:
Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 (Internet Explorer) for Windows (Full/Upgrade)

  • Presets Previews do not display in Bridge CS4

NONE of my presets will display in Bridge CS4. I can not see my text presets from AE, or backgrounds or synthetics...... I can view the thumbnails in the content window but nothing but an icon in the actual preview window. Is anyone else experiencing this?
    Thanks!

Is anyone else using Vista 64 Ultimate?  If so, are you able to view ANY of your presets in Bridge?  Text presets for example?  I was hoping SP2 might solve the issue but it still does not work which is cumbersome.  I have gone round and round with Adobe help, I have updated every driver, program and BIOS and I still can not view the presets.
Any ideas?  Sorry to bring this up again but, "I can't get no satifaction!".
    Thanks for your time!

  • PnPDriverImportError - CS5.5 clean install on Win7/64

    Hello:
Pretty new here, so if this belongs somewhere else (Acrobat forum?), please feel free to move.
And, I am a self-taught, low-end, home user of mostly Acrobat and PS, so please keep any assistance relatively simple.
Problem:  "Adobe PDF Printer" in CS4 disappeared and issue not resolved after clean uninstall/cleanup/clean install of CS 5.5.  Adobe TS (up to Tier2) no help thus far, although they are still working on it.
    History:
Had been running CS4 (fully patched) without issues for >1 year on my Win7(x64) desktop (everything was/is fine on my Win7(x86) laptop).
I noticed 1 day in 3/2011 that "PDF Printer" had mysteriously disappeared from installed printers, and I could not "print to PDF" from web browser or other apps.
NUMEROUS TS calls/remote assists with Adobe TS --> no resolution.  They tried all manner of multiple manual PDF printer reinstalls from Windows CP, copying dll files from other computer, running the MS printer install fixit tool, and even deleting OEM driver files from elevated command prompt (!), etc. Nothing worked.
Computer, physical printer, and the rest of entire CS4 (including Acrobat 9.4.x) worked fine, but I had no "PDF Printer". (The add-in for MS Office worked fine and I could "save as > adobe pdf".)
They said a clean reinstall of CS4 would resolve it, but since CS 5.5 was imminent, I opted to wait, getting by without PDF Printer.
Today, with Adobe TS assist, I performed a clean uninstall of CS4 > reboot > run Adobe CS cleanup tool > reboot > clean install of CS 5.5 from DVD > reboot > update > reboot.  NO errors, no problems.
BUT, of course, "PDF Printer" is still missing. The Office Add-In seems to be working, as before, as I can "save as > Adobe pdf".
EVERYTHING ELSE in CS 5.5 seems to be working fine, as does the computer and my physical printer.
NEW round of Adobe TS later today: same troubleshooting as last time > no joy.
So, although I now have CS 5.5 instead of CS 4, I have the SAME "PDF Printer" problem.
FINALLY: got someone on phone who found a relevant event in the Windows log - he took the entire txt file to research and escalated to next Tier.
I am awaiting an outbound call back from "Resolution Experts" sometime MONDAY (4 days from now)!!!
Deidentified (user name removed) info from that event is below -- please let me know if you need a more complete excerpt or the entire txt file.  I also have the 3 service ticket numbers from the March incident, today's install incident and today's Tech Support incident.

    Hi, Mylenium:
    Thanks for your reply.
Any security stuff running on the system?
KIS2012 (had been running KIS2011 for 6 months back in Mar when the problem first appeared using CS4).
KIS protection was completely paused during the CS5.5 install today & I immediately verified that all Adobe programs were "trusted".
There were no errors or other problems during the completely clean install today (which was done after running the CS cleanup tool).
No indication anywhere that KIS firewall or application control was/is blocking anything (FW is set to notify, rather than to take automatic action anyway..)
Also, had been running CS4 with KIS for many months without this issue (IOW Adobe PDF Printer had been working fine).
Is the Acrobat speed launcher active (AcroTray.exe)?
    How would I know?
Do you have enough temporary disk space in both your user temp folder and the windows spool folder?
1.5 TB HDD (nearly empty), 8 GB RAM - very robust hardware.
Temp folder (I assume you mean Windows temp folder) is ~empty - I run Windows disk cleanup regularly.
But i don't know how to specifically check "windows spool folder".
Are the permissions okay on these folders?
    How would I check this?
I am the only user, & my account has full privileges.
Never got any UAC prompts at all during CS 5.5 install (except perhaps at the very beginning, when the bootstrapper launched off the DVD).
Before manually installing the printer, did you clean out the Windows installer cache folder so it is not reverting to a wrong installer package possibly?
None of the Adobe techs tried this (either back in Mar when the problem began) or today.
I wouldn't know how to do so.
    How would I do this?
Does your device manager list any disabled or defunct devices?
    No.
My physical printer is an older HP All-In-One, but the drivers are fully updated and it works fine.
It is the same physical printer I had used with CS4 for > 1 year without problems.
    There aren't many other devices.
    All drivers are up-to-date.
Sorry to be so stupid answering your questions, but I am just a home user.
What is SO perplexing about all of this is that everything worked just fine for a year or so -- CS4 with Adobe PDF Printer -- on this same system.
CS4 had been installed once when computer was new (Feb 2010), and then again in August 2010 when I did a factory image from the recovery partition (thanks to McAfee).
    Everything worked just fine.
Then, the PDF Printer literally disappeared without warning or other indication in March 2011.
After the many encounters with Tier1 and Tier2 TS from Mar-May, it was assumed (by them and me) that a clean install of CS 5.5 would resolve the issue.
I do have in my notes from back then that Adobe TS said this was a "known issue" (as that blog post in my earlier reply suggests) unique to Win7/64.
ATM, I am going in circles between Dell, MS and Adobe.
    I await your further advice.
    Thanks,

  • Error message on On Location files

I use Adobe On Location on a laptop for recording video quite a bit.  I then copy the folder with the On Location files to my main computer for editing.  When I import an .avi file created in On Location into Premiere CS4, I see a yellow exclamation symbol in lower right hand corner.  Clicking on this symbol brings up the message "File importer detected an inconsistancy in the structure of xxxx.avi.  Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled."  However, I have no problems editing the files, so I haven't worried about it.  But I am curious to know why this happens on every .avi file created in On Location, and if I should be worried about it.
    J. D.

I am having the same issue when importing clips from OnLocation.  I am beginning a huge production and I am concerned this issue might cause issues down the road with editing, encoding, mastering.
I have checked the files and sequence and they are the same.
I have seen others have this issue, but there does not seem to be anyone that knows exactly why it's happening and how to correct it.  Including Adobe,  I weent round & round with Adobe support in India and finally gave up.

  • I feel like I just got kicked in the balls!!!!

    4 months ago I purchased Macromedia Studio 8 for $850.00. I
just found out that ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 3 WEB EDITIONS is on sale
for $999. After contacting customer support and sales team. The
best they can do was to upgrade my product for $400!!!!! Had I know
that an upgrade product was in the works and it would cost me $150
to get it. I would have waited for it. This company needs to treat
their customers with a little bit more respect and serve them
better. I like the product but feel as if I just got robbed for
some reason. People like to feel good about their purchases and
this company has not done so for me.
    Yeah I am a dumb ***!!!!

    I feel your pain...
I owned full retail versions of CS2 Premium AND Macromedia
Studio 8 - which gave me access to all those included products last
round, but Adobe would not let me upgrade any of my individual
Studio products (Fireworks, Contribute, etc.) that were not
included in the CS3 Design Premium upgrade I purchased! They said
all I could do is purchase new full versions of products like
Contribute CS3 - just like I had never purchased full versions
previously. Therefore, I finally let Fireworks, Contribute, etc.
just expire. In other words, I had purchased too much software at
full price in the past and was beaten for it. The "amount" of money
is not what caused me to decide to drop support for certain
products it was the idea that I got no credit whatsoever for having
purchased full copies of those products in the past. They said "If
you hadn't purchased those in a "Studio" package then they would
qualify for individual upgrades" - but the "Studio" was what was
being purchased at the time by the biggest supporters - all I hear
is "You were stupid enough to get sucked in by the last promotion
to buy ALL the products (like in a Suite) so you are an idiot for
biting on that offer - would you like to buy something else
today?". I guess next year they will put all the products that are
now in the "Suite" into a "Bundle" - then you won't be able to
upgrade any products that were part of the "Suite", because this
year they are calling it the "Bundle".

  • 600% Price increase for educational CLP customers.  Anyone mad?

As many of you may know, Adobe killed maintenance contracts for CLP licensing on the first of the year.  I work at a small college, and as part of the CLP program, we ordered licenses for Production Premium, as well as a 2-year maintenance contract for $150 per seat.  For that $150, we get 2 years of upgrades for Production Premium, whenever they are released.  That works out to $6.25 per month, per seat.  It was because of this great pricing, we were able to get budget approval to use the Adobe suite of products for my Digital Media department.  Adobe even sold us on this plan because it "allowed us predictability in our budgeting."  Now, that is gone, and my department is really screwed as a result.
I've been going several rounds with Adobe on the phone, trying to get anyone to explain to me how they can justify yanking the rug out from the educational market by discontinuing our maintenance license. Whenever I ask for an alternative for our Production Premium maintenance contract for our college, they keep reading the same script about Creative Cloud for Teams. That sounds great, except for the price. It's $40 a month per seat for this service. We are currently paying $150 for two years of maintenance licensing, which works out to $6.25 per month per seat. When I tell them that we can't afford a 600% price increase, they keep reading the same line about Creative Cloud not being a single product, and that we get cloud storage, blah blah blah. No real explanation of why they are sticking us with a six-fold price hike. Are there any other educators out there who are as infuriated as me? For each student, over the course of their 4-year academic career, that's an extra $1600.

As per the other thread, the customer also has a Muse subscription and the renewal email he received with a price of £11.11 + VAT was for this subscription not the Photography Plan.
    Kind regards
    Bev

Assuming you've already set the field to a Number format category and limited it to one digit to the right of the decimal, you can use the following custom Validate script:

  • Round trip clearing adobe form field values not binded to webdynpro context

    Hi ,
I have developed a webdynpro ABAP application with Interactive form. I'm calling a webservice on 'exit event' of the one of the form fields. Once webservice is executed, Im filling a table with 300 rows which is in the form. The table fileds are binded to webservice fields from the dataview of the form , these are not webdynpro context attributes in the data view.
But when I open any seach help , this table values are disappearing. I need to execute the webservice again to get the values.
can any one tell why the values in the table are disappearing? since I have binded to the webservice fields the values should remain there.
    Apprecaite your response.
    Regards,
    Ravi

I looked over that note yesterday, but too quickly - i thought it was an older note explaining which standard programs to run to test out the connection etc...
but i see now that there is an important point:
The "pdfSource" attribute of the InteractiveForm UI element should be linked only if the Web Dynpro ABAP application requires the PDF document for further processing (saving data to the database, and so on). However, it is mostly only the data entered in the interactive form that is relevant for the application. If this attribute is linked, the Web Dynpro ABAP framework must request an updated PDF document from the Adobe document services each time data is changed in the form.
It looks like this is saying that a round trip is possible in WDA.
EDIT - I wish SAP would fix this certificate issue. My first post every day is doubled because of it.

  • Web dynpro + adobe form decimal field round off

    hello all,
I am now developing an application which is based on the SAP WebDynpro and Adobe form, but the application has an error, if one can help me to resolve the error, I will be very thankful.
The error is as follows, for a decimal filed on the Adobe form which is binded to a deicmal attribute of Webdynpro, if I get the value of the decimal field using the programming code as "context.nodexx.getAttribute("xx")", the decimal value is rounded off (e.g., 2.4 is changed to 2.0, 2.7 is changed to 3.0).
for example:In Web Dynpro,  A node name is  "TestNode" which has a  type of decimalattribute named "TestAttr" ,  in  adobe form  a decimal field  bind to the TestAttr . when i input 2.3  in  adobe form,  i  click the button with code:
    this.wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager.reportSuccess(this.wdContext.nodeTestNode.getTestAttr()+"");
    the rusult is  :     2.0
if  i  input  the  value  2.5   the result  will be  3.0
    Thanks All !

    Hi,
there is a special display pattern to check for null values:
    null{pattern}
    Example:
    null{'please enter a value'}
But I don't know if WDJ is really sending a null value. You can combine this with alternatives using '|' to separate alternatives.

  • Adobe Illustrator CS3 Rounded Corner Option MIA?

Everywhere I look, I read that there should be a "Round Corners" option under both the "Effect>Stylize" and "Filter>Stylize" dropdown menus. In both cases, the only "Stylize" option I'm given is "Glowing Edges".
I'm attempting to do this with a 3-pointed star (otherwise known as a triangle, but I created it using the star tool). I'm definitely selecting it, etc.
Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!!!

Adobe Illustrator SUCKS when it comes to corner rounding...
You need the vector plugin by CValley called Xtream Path...
Here's the link...watch the video called "smart rounding" which is one of the components of this plugin which will do what you're looking for:
    http://www.cvalley.com/products/xtreampath/movies.html
I would not be without it...it's saved me hours of work rounding off corners without distorting the adjoining line segments.

  • Adobe Reader XI - How do i stop numbers being rounded up on forms

    Hi,
I am using the Adobe Reader XI, with regards to filing in figures on forms that I use. The form keeps on rounding up numbers. For example if I type in 2.5 and go to the next box on the form, the figure will immediately change to 3. It is extremely frustrating and in my line of work the figures have to be exact. Please can anyone help and advise if there is anything I can do or settings that I can change to be able to keep numbers on the form with decimal points showing without them being rounded up.
    Thanks

To emphasise: this happens only if the designer of the form decides to not allow any decimal places.
