Route a signal to RTSI when AO starts output

I would like to route a signal to RTSI when AO starts output using "Route signal.vi".
Now I choose the signal source as "AO update" so that a series of TTL signals are routed to RTSI.
If I would like only to route a signal to RTSI when AO starts output,what option of signal source should I choose??

I will answer you question assuming you have an E Series Board.
The signal that should be routed to the RTSI line is the PFI6/WFTRIG signal. That is AO Start Trigger in the signal source and RTSI line in the signal name of the "Route signal.vi". Mic get's disabled when 3.5mm output jack (non-headphones) is plugged in?

I have a strange problem. When I am using headphones the Mic that is built into the system works FINE. However when I start outputing with a 3.5 mm to red/white composite to my sound system, the Mic stops working. On my T61p the mic/speaker jacks were separate, and I could output audio to my sound system for playing Left 4 Dead 2 and still use the Mic that is built in to talk to the other players. Now when I have my awesome surround sound rocking, the Mic is no longer an option. THIS SUCKS. Does anyone know a way I can force the Mic to stay enabled?

I assume this is on the new T410/T510 with the combined jack?
You can try this if your on Windows 7.
Control Panel
Show all icons
Find SMART AUDIO icon and dobule click
One of the tabs has an options for CLASSIC or MULTISTREAM
Change it to MULTISTREAM
Go back to Control Panel
Open Sound Properties
On playback and recording tabs right click to SHOW DISABLED DEVICES
That should separate all the jacks and options into separate jack that you can control, set as default or disable. Just plug in your heading, swithc to the MIC tab and then set the internal as the default. Should do the trick.

sounds more like Bluetooth rather than moue, but w/o knowing w/o posting mac model type/year we... will... not... know... what you have
All computers are personal computers, a PC though is also "non-Apple" in common usage.
Mac also is platform and OS.

Lost connection when neighbors start WiFi router

Am going crazy with this:
I am in the suburbs and was the only person with WiFi nearby. Recently 2 other people got WiFi as well, and it seems that when they start their WiFi routers, I lose my connection.
My setup: 10.4.7/PowerBook 17"/Airport Express.
I can be working, and then suddenly lose connection. I go to the AirPort menu, and suddenly see one or 2 other networks, but mine is gone. The attempts then can take up to 30 minutes to resolve (apparently thru voodoo) but my feeling is that when they go offline and switch off, I can get back online!
Not good! I have Interference Robustness selected, but am at a loss what to do...
Anyone with any ideas?

Hi,
Try to change the channel of your wireless router. If you have the option with your router; preferably set the channel to "automatic".
If you are in the case that you can no longer connect to your router wirelessly, use an ethernet cable to be able to access to router and change the channel.

Mapping the High Speed Capture signal to RTSI

Can i Mapp the "High Speed Capture" signal to RTSI ?
When i'm using the motion RTSI example and mae some changes:
i'm setting the source to "High speed capture" and the destination to RTSI_0 i 'm getting an error that its possible!
i want to use this input to trigger an action on other pci.
I'm using pci-7344 with umi - 7774 and pcie-1430

I try to map the High Speed capture to RTSI , but the HSC doesnt work.
When i remove the RTSI mapping from my diagram, the HSC work and i can capture the encoder position.
I'm using the UM7774, and the HSC is wired to the global connectors (TRIGGER/BREAKPOINT connector)
I also read all the relevant documentation about my hardware and i notice that there is a comment about mapping the motion rtsi :
(from Select Signal vi Help): Note You must route signals from the RTSI lines before you enable high-speed capture ,
so i also consider that, it still doesnt work....
I really appreciate if you can take a look about the 2 versions of vi i attached here.
They both need to do the same.
Each vi contains 2 parallel diagrams, one diagram for the single axis move, the move is to target position X,
the second diagram is for the vision, there is "trigger each line" from rtsi line (the motion diagram includes maping the encoder phase A to the rtsi for this purpose)
and i want to use the High speed capture to trigger the start of imaq also.
The example :
HSC in motion activate the start of imaq in second loop.vi
is a working example that runs good and capture the image.
but its "dirty" programming, i dont think its should work like this.
its actualy a implementation of "busy wait" loop.... ( i dont like it, but work...)

Itouch wi fi signal fades out when transmiting songs

i just bought a new lynksys wrt100 router. the itouch looses signal within ten feet and disconnects all together when you start to transmitting songs . is this a settings issue ?

ok it is An Itouch with wi fi and a lynksys router. I am just trying to get the ipod to work it't normal functions like you tube ....itunes so forth when you go on to itunes ex. just listening to a preview of a song the signal drops to zero and disconnects you from the router its almost like a wifi bandwidth problem like the signal from the router can not handle music ? you can reconnect to the router again and again but when you try for example to preview songs on itunes it disconects you from the network again. now this does not happen if you are standing directly in front of the router? is this a firmware problem? ipod problem? router problem?
what do you think?

Route CTR-Out to RTSI

Hi everybody!
My Project: control synchronous motor
To control a synchronous motor, I need 6PWM signals
3 for the highside as well as 3 for the lowside. For the application I use a PCI6602-Card.
At the moment I generate a main clock (Counter 7) to synchronize. It starts the highside, which triggers the lowside.
I routed the gates of the highside to GATE0. I connect CTR-OUT7 and GATE0 by a wire. I think its better to route it internal!
The programming occurs in C (MATLAB/SIMULINK) at register level for xPC Target. In the manual I couldn't find any information concerning this. I know how to route a Gate to RTSI, but I don't know how to route a OUT-Signal to RTSI. Is there any way to do this in the INPUT_SELECT_REGISTER?

There is also a thread setting 6602 registers to latch encoder values on RTSI trigger

There is only one sparse bundle but when I enter time machine I don't see my historic backups. I use a synology DS212 for my time machine. Started a new backup which is 218gb but it says 618 gb is occupied therefore it looks like 2 or 3 backups are still on the disk. Before my NAS issues the last backup was in 2014. As you can see there is a second sparse bundle from 2012. Not sure what that is.

This is an old message now, but what happened to me similarly was:
I had a major computer crash and through complicated pathways ended up reinstalling (Mavericks) as a new user (long story).
At least I had good Time Machine backups on an NAS drive (Synology DS212j), or so I thought - when I started Time Machine up again, the old backup file was gone, replaced by a new one using my "new computer" name. The old file was gone both by directly mounting the NAS drive and by clicking "Enter Time Machine".
It's like I had {OldShareName}.sparsebundle and then it was replaced by {NewShareName}.sparsebundle, all of the old info vanished.
(I have spent a week finding old files elsewhere and have completed a satisfactory self-restore. It pays to "archive" [my own variation of] as well as "back-up".)
My belief is that if this were a wired-netword-drive, e.g. plugged right into my iMac with a USB cable, then the old file would have remained.
But this is an NAS drive, connected directly to my Airport wireless router, and I don't know the significance of the fact that it stores its Time Machine backups as "sparsebundle" files rather than simply as plain(er) files.
As usual when things get complicated with computers (not just Apple computers) there was never a warning message. Something like "YOU'RE ABOUT TO DELETE A TIME MACHINE BACK-UP FILE!!!" would have made my life a lot simpler.
BTW, I did try a "restore from Time Machine" option the first thing I had my "new computer" (old hardware, 2009 iMac) up and running, using Migration Assistant, and it ran for many hours and then failed in the wee hours - what that has to do with anything I'm not sure.
I'm not sure that I have a question about this other than "why do these things happen to me?", but it's a warning. Apart from that I've been very happy with the stability and reliability (but not the cost or set-up complexity) of NAS vs. directly-cabled external drives.

Sorry that we cannot be more help in this forum; we do not have much experience with blue screen under Windows 2000. This is very hard to do, and is almost always related to a hardware problem - either a resource conflict, or problems with one of the installed hardware devices (DAQ, Video, Memory...).

If a power cycle of the TC works then the issue is simply Lion.. and there is as yet no fix.. and may never be..
Apple do not seem to acknowledge the issue but plenty of people have it.. It doesn't happen with SL.. one very good reason to not bother with Lion.. Maybe ML will fix it.. without Apple having to ever admit an issue.
In the meantime, if possible downgrade TC to 7.5.2 .. it has less issues than 7.6 or later.
Reset the TC and change all names, TC and wireless names, to short, no spaces, no special characters.
If it is the main router, set the dhcp lease to a short time.. 10min I recommend.
The above will probably not fix the issue.. but it might go a bit longer before a reboot is needed.. going back to SL would fix it.

Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal.
