Route and Loading Time

All Gurus:
I am trying to create a route for a specific shipping point (one plant) where the loading time is different for every route.  I am looking at configuration for defining shipping point:
IMG > Enterprise Structure > Definition > Logistics Execution > Define, copy, delete, check shipping point.  Under "Determine Times", there is "Determine load. times" and 4 options:
     No loading time determination
A     Route dependent
B     Route independent (Route '      ')
C     Default from shipping point
If select "C" and specify 11 days for "Loading Time with Days", the system will always have 11 days defaulting on the sales order schedule lines between the "Loading Date" and the "Goods Issue Date".
What I need is to have more flexibility as to the number of days on the Loading time.  If I select A or B, can you please let me know what that would do and where I can configure it so that the system gives me more flexibility as to the number of Loading Days?
Thanks in advance,
Ta

Tal -
When the loading date and GI date is same you can change the GI date by adding number of days in the field "TransLdTm". This time will get calulated as loading time. In each route definition this may vary according to requirement. this will give you different transit time determination for single ship point.
In configuration do setting as below e.g.
TransitTime               10
Trav.dur.
TransLdTm.               1
TrLeadTimeHrs
With this system will calculate in reverse way from delivery date to customer based on route transit time.
Material availability date + loading time (1) + transit time (10) ... this will be the calculation.
Hope this answers your question. Let me know anything else you require on this.

  • Lead Time - Customizatiou0131n steps: Shipping point, route, and loading group

It says about delivery scheduling that "The lead time considers the shipping point, route, and loading group". Can anybody explain me briefly the customization menu steps about this sentence?
    Thanks in advance.

Please go through this document it will help you
    1) Maintain transportation planning point through Menu as follows:
IMG Maintain Logistic Execution  Definition Enterprise Structure  transportation planning point.
Create your own like BP01 enter the general data¡¯s required
    2) Defining modes of transport:
    IMG RoutesBasic Transportation Functions  Transportation Logistic Execution Define modes of transportDefine routes
    Use the standard like:
    Shipping type: 01
    Description: Road
    3) Define shipping types :
    Basic Transportation Transportation Logistic ExecutionIMG Define shipping types Route Functions
    Or through T-code: SM30
    PT: 01
    Description: Truck
    Mdtr: 01
    STPG: 0001
    4) Define transportation connecting point :
    LogisticIMG DefineRoutes  Basic Transportation Functions  Transportation Execution Define transportation connection pointsroutes
Copy the std point and make it FB01 as departure zone and FB02 as destination zone
    5) Define routes and stages.
 Logistic Execution IMG Define Define routes Routes  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation routes and stages
Use the standard route and copy it as FB0001 and enter the departure zone and destination as what we created.
    6) Defining Transportation Zone:
    Basic Transportation Logistic Execution IMG Define transportation Router determination  Route Transportation Functions zones
Use the standard transportation zone depending on the route so as for the example use 0000000003 - Southern Region
    7) Maintain country or transportation zone for shipping points
 Logistic Execution IMG  Route determination  Route  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation Maintain country and transportation zone for shipping point
Shipping point be ASH1 and route as 0000000003 which is assigned to country India
    8) Maintain route determination:
Logistic ExecutionIMG Route determination Route  Basic Transportation Functions  Transportation  Maintain route determination
    Country of departure: India
    Departure Zone: 0000000003
    Country of destination: India
    Destination Zone: 0000000003
And enter the data’s needed like shipping condition 01, etc.
Maintain Transportation relevance for shipping point, sales document type and delivery types.
    9) Now create shipping types
    IMG Define shipment Shipments  Transportation Logistic Execution types
Copy the standard 0001 and make it to AFIL
    10) Define and assign traffic zones through T-Code: T_76 (or) thru menu as follows
IMG Define Basic functions  Shipments cost  Transportation Logistic Execution and assign tariff zones
Copy the standard and make it to FABTARIFF and assign our transportation planning point as ATP1, ATP2 assign tariff zone to every particular transportation planning point
    11) Define and assign pricing procedures
Shipments Transportation  Logistic Execution IMG define and assign pricing Price control  Pricing cost procedures
Copy the standard shipping cost pricing procedure SDFC00 to FBSC01
    12) Assign purchasing data:
     Logistic Execution IMG Assign purchasing data Settlement  Shipments cost Transportation
    13) Assign transportation planning point to shipping condition, purchase organization, purchasing group and to plants.
    14) Define Automatic G/L account determination:
     Transportation  Logistics Execution IMG Automatic G/L Account Determination Settlement Shipment Costs
    Or through T-code: OMWB
Use G/L account 614000 as used in standard
    15) Automatic determination of CO assignments:
IMG Automatic Settlement  Shipment Costs  Transportation Logistics Execution Determination of CO Assignments
    Or T-code: OKB9
    16) Maintain shipping point address.
 Logistics Execution  Definition Enterprise Structure Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
    17) Creating G/L account centrally.
    Financial AccountingAccounting  Master Records  General Ledger 
    Individual Processing Centrally
    Or through T-Code: FS00
    18) Enter the G/L account 614000 to the company code AFIL
    19) Create transportation condition records:
     Shipment cost  Transportation  Master data Logistic Execution createPrices
    Or thru T-code: TK11
Enter condition type FB00 that is freight condition type, which is used as standard in the shipping cost pricing procedure.
Enter the price and save it
    Process:
    1. The system determines the pricing procedure for the shipment cost item-using transportation planning point, service agent and shipment cost item category
    2. Calculation Basis
    3. Condition Record
    4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
    • Weight
    • Volume
    • Variable capacity
    • Number of stops
    • Maximum duration
    • Loading units
    Create Shipment Document
    Use
After the status of the delivery is open for transportation planning, it is possible to create a shipment document to schedule the transportation.
    Transportation Create Single document Logistics Logistic Execution  TransportationPlanning
    T.code: VT01n
Enter your transportation planning point and shipment type. Press enter.
    Creating the shipment cost document
    Use
After the deliveries are scheduled by shipment and the shipment is executed, now it is time to maintain and close the shipment document in order to record all relative information and ready for the shipment cost settlement.
    Single document Logistics Logistic Execution  Transportation Shipment cost Create

After creation of shipment cost doc. You settle the Shipment cost.
Go to VI02, enter shipment cost no.and press enter.
Then go to Overview -- Fright cost items, Select the line item and double click it.
Go as main menu: Item --> Acc. assignment, you enter G/L acc. and cost center to which the transportation cost will be posted.
On the Standard change, details – Freight cost items screen, then check the check box “Transfer”, which means you will transfer the relative transportation cost to FI/CO, in this case, the system should determined which Purchase Order will used to settle the cost, so after you check the “Transfer” check box.
Press save button on the current screen.
    Shipment cost settlement and documents:
    Use
After the shipment cost settled in shipment cost document, it has the following affects:
It creates a service entry sheet that refers to the purchase order determined.
It posts acceptance of services performed.
It creates an accounting document for the accruals.
Further subsequent documents are created in FI.
    Create Delivery:

You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue

  • Setting up time capsule with existing wireless router and another time capsule

    Hello,
I just bought my first mac (MBP) and a time capsule. We already have a wireless router, and my brother has an imac and his time capsule connected to it. The apple support people said that i couldn't use my new time capsule as a backup for my files because it would have to be in bridge mode and that would cause all sorts of problems and the backup would probably fail. That I would have to use my brother's time capsule to back up my files.
Is this true?? I find it hard to believe this issue hasn;t come up before.
    Thanks,
    Deborah

Thanks, Bob! If I may impose on you a little bit more, would you be able to guide me a little bit in terms of the setup?
Would I need to connect my time capsule directly to the router for first time set up?
If so, would I have to keep it connected to the router all the time after the first time set up, or can I keep it in another room?
Our wireless network was created back when we were a Windows household, so we still control it using Network Magic on an old laptop.
I unlocked the network (using Network Magic) when I tried to set up the Time Capsule (wirelessly, and before calling Apple), and after entering the network password my macbook recognized the TC and I got the good little green light on the TC. As soon as I locked up the network, I got the flashing amber light on the TC and airport utility couldn't find it anymore (using Airport utility version 6.1)... I unlocked the network again, the light turned green. I locked it back up, the light started flashing amber again...
Thanks, I really appreciate your help!

  • How if i have 5 different router and 1 Time Capsule in my big house? and 3 device want to use it at same time ?

I have big house with 5 routers in every corner. The question is can it work ? like i have brother laser print, it cannot work properly, why i said that ? because i cannot print from other router. How about this Time Capsule ? how if my brother, my sister and me want to connect to Time Capsule at the same time using different router (every router of course connected with 1 Lan wired and i connected Time Capsule with one of it). So please help the answer please or any experience people with this issue ?

The routers are must be bridged .. all except one.. the one router to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.
All the other routers should be bridge or in what we call wan bypass. That means you plug into the LAN port.. bypassing the WAN routing facility.. setting the DHCP to off and setting a fixed IP on all router.
    So .. main router 192.168.1.1
All other routers take fixed ip. 192.168.1.2 etc.
They all have dhcp turned off.
So they are all on the same network.. they all have different names and different IPs.. but the one router has dhcp on, and all IP in the network are controlled from that single router.
The TC offers bridge mode.. which does the same thing as wan bypass.

  • Problem in Data Scheduling and loading time

    Hi,
I am loading data from r3 to bw using process chain, all are delta loads and fico data.
process chain scheduled daily at 3.00 am.
Problem is that the data which is extracted into bw is up to 1.00 am only
1-2 and 2-3 (2) hours data is not extracted into bw side.
The client wants reduce the time gap and needs to load all data which acquired into r/3 before to schedule.
Any one can help me in investigation about this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Routes and Transit times with Global ATP

If Global ATP is used where are the transit times managed usually? in SAP or APO. Since Transit Times are in Routes in SAP. Is there any equivalent data management point in APO?
    Thanks
    venkat Jupudy

    Hi Venkat
You can either call scheduling locally in R/3 and also in APO as part of GATP function.
Transit times are maintained in scheduling steps( creating condition records of condition technique scheduling) for condition type TRAN.
Route determination can be done in R/3. There is a possibility of dynamic route determination in APO but I guess it requires TP/VS and gatp functions.

  • Ace 4710 - same context routed and load-sharing

    Hi All
Can an ACE 4710 have , in the same context - servers which are
    a. just being routed to
    b. a set of load-shared servers
I have been told you may not be able to do this on this version
Does anyone know if this is correct
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Boris
I have been on the ACE course and before we install the 4700 box i have been
asked to set up a test setup.
This would involve have a context which would have one ip address range and
a few pcs (pretending to be servers ) and one which would be just routed.
A colleague of mine seemed to think that something had been said on the course
to the effect that if the ACE was deployed  in line the you couldnt have some
of your servers in load-sharing and some just routed on the same subnet and
    in the same context.

  • Correct approach and load time estimation

    Hi,
We are planning to load  19 million Business partner data  from SQL to SAP-CRM as part of initial load.
We are using XI as middle ware and we are planning to use JDBC adapter at sender side and ABAP proxy at receiver side.
    I have few questions:
1)Is it correct to use XI for initial load from SQL to CRM? Is there any other better
tool.( There may be other better tools, but my point is anyway  we are going to
use XI to create BP’s from SQL to CRM after go-live for real time scenarios (
apart from initial load). So, why cant we use the same scenario for initial load
       also.)
    2) Is it correct to user ABAP proxy at receiver side?
    3) Receiver side we can user IDOC adapter or ABAP proxy. Which one is
efficient? ( we don’t have much transformations )
    4) How to estimate the time to load 19 million  BP’s into CRM. What parameters I
have to consider in both XI and CRM system.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi
    <u>19 million Business partner data</u>
I feel XI is not a better approach for this.
<i>3) Receiver side we can user IDOC adapter or ABAP proxy. Which one is
efficient? ( we don’t have much transformations )</i>
Proxies will the most efficient ones. The biggest advantage of the proxy is that it always by passes the Adapter Engine and will directly interact with the application system and Integration engine - so it will and should give us a better performance.

Hi, yes. Configure the pool to have an initial capacity of zero. Then it will
deploy and not try to make any connections. It will only try when/if
it is asked for one at runtime. Even if the DBMS is not up, the
DataSource will just throw an exception until the DBMS is up.

  • Time capsule, router and NAS - a newbie q

Apologies in advance if this question may sound obvious...
I've got an ADSL wireless router, and a Time Capsule connected to it.
My ISP were in and configured things remotely (with permission of course) so that my Time Capsule acts as the WAN... that is, the IP addresses all went from 192.169.0.XX to 10.0.1.XX. ...this is a bridge, right?
I've now ordered a NAS unit (Synology 411J) which will be arriving home in a few days.
As is my nature, I've been reading the setup instructions for the NAS in anticipation, and realize I have a bit of a learning curve in front of me ;-).  Not too bad really (I'm fairly swift), but it strikes me that I'm already unclear as to the setup configuration.
Would I connect the NAS to the router, as per the instructions?  If so, would I then have to break the bridge to the Time Capsule so that it all transmits on the 192.168.0.XX ranges?
Or do I connect the NAS to the Time Capsule?  Or am I already doomed if I'm asking these basic question? ;-)
Thanks kindly for setting me straight here...
    /D

my Time Capsule acts as the WAN... that is, the IP addresses all went from 192.169.0.XX to 10.0.1.XX. ...this is a bridge, right?
No, this information indicates that the ISP configured the Time Capsule to act as the router for the network, not as a bridge.
Would I connect the NAS to the router, as per the instructions?
Yes, connect to a LAN <-> port on the Time Capsule.
If so, would I then have to break the bridge to the Time Capsule so that it all transmits on the 192.168.0.XX ranges?
No, the NAS will work just fine on the 10.0.1.x range.

  • Question about loading time determination in OVLZ

    Hello,
In t-code OVLZ, field "Determine load. time", the F1 explanation is bellow:
    -No loading time determination
    No loading time is determined
    -A Route-dependent
A route-dependent loading time is determined.
Influencing factors are the shipping point, the route, and the loading group
    -B Route-independent
A route-independent loading time is determined.
Influencing factors are the shipping point, the route, and the loading group of the material.
can somebody tell me what is the difference between A B? It seems to be the same according to the 2nd line explanation of B.
    Thanks,
    Gunadi

    hi,
    in OVLZ-shipping point- working hours
determine load time: the option A -stands for route dependent
means loading times is determined with combination of shipping point+ route+ loading group
option B- stands for route Independent
Means  loading time is determined with comnination of shipping+ loading group
the loading time will have effect on delivery sch ie., taken into account for forward scheduling else backward scheduling
    hope this help u

  • Improving load times in Linux LabVIEW executable

I'm looking for (simple) ways to improve the loading times in a Linux LabVIEW executable. We're using a low performance, low cost CPU board, and loading times are terrible. The CPU is capable of doing everything after the application is loaded, but takes forever to get there.
One of the problems is the size of the executable, that grows everytime you just look at it. Are there ways to create smaller executables? It runs from a Compact Flash card, which is ofcourse much slower than hard disk.
Another problem is a dynamic vi, that is started for every TCP connection that connects to the application. It takes a long time to load, and connecting too fast can even effectively hang up the system. Starting a handler task takes about half a second, up to a few seconds for the first task.

    I'm
not sure about the first part of your question. LabVIEW is highly
binary and does a lot of memory allocations before even one VI is ready
to be started. So maybe the memory manager is a problem. Another issue
is that the Macintosh like resource file format that is used by LabVIEW to store its VIs etc. results in
lots and lots of individual disk accesses with a rther random like
character inside a single file. So if you can configure the read
caching of your disk to use more memory this may significantly increase
the speed of loading LabVIEW VIs or applications.
And finally spawning VIs through VI server is a rather costly operation
especially on low resoruce systems. A VI is more like an executable in
many ways as far as resource consumption is concerned rather than a
thread. A much better way would be to avoid spawning subVIs altogether
and implement a queued TCP/IP server similar to the Date Time Server
example. It is a little extra work to work with this shift register
architecture but it will not have the issues of long load times for
every new TCP/IP connection coming in.
