Route Determination on STO (Receiving plant and supplying plant same)

Dear Experts,
We have two different STO type,
same supplying plant
same receiving plant, receiving debit to PO assigned account, not inventory, so we don't maintain storage location
same materials.
The requirement from warehouse: They want the two types STO link to two different Route. ( we have many plants, which based on transportation zone, link to different route already)
I tried maintained  shipping condition on the sales order type DL, which suppose copy to the delivery order type DL, but it seems not working.
The shipping condition still copy from the ship to part (receiving plant).
Any suggestion for this case.
Thanks in advance.
Jaeny

Hi Jaco,
Thank you to reply me. Delivery type is NL, rather than DL (sorry mistake)
I am trying to use shipping condition which assign on sales order to separate the route.
So create a new Stock transport Delivery order type ZNL by copy the standard one NL.
And create a sales order type ZDL and assign the copy control (standard is DL link to NL), and set shipping condition type on new sales order type ZDL,
but it turns out the shipping condition still come from the ship to party rather than sales order, and route keep no change.
So if STO not follow the rules : shipping condition not from sales order , only from ship to party?
Besides, any other suggestion for this case?
Thank you
Janey

  • Does STO create demand in supplying plant with Strategy 40 ?

    Hello friends,
In our system, STOs do show up as a procurement elements at the receiving plant, but they do not create a demand at the supplying plant.  Supplying plant is using Strategy 40.  So my question is - Are STOs supposed to create a demand in supplying plant with Strategy 40 ?
    Thanks,
    - Chetan

STOs should create requirements in the supplying plant, no matter the planning strategy.
There are though some possible definitions that will alter that, the business case being that you have created PIRs in the supplying plant, and you want these STOs to be included in the scope of your sales plan. In this case, especially with PS 40, STO will not create additional requirements (on top of the PIRs), but rather consume the PIR like a customer order.

  • Link between vendor number in purchase order and supplying plant (Sales O.)

    Hi All
Please could you advise, what settings control the following:
    1. Purchase order created for vendor A. (vendor- is internal supplier within same company in SAP, but different company code).
    2. Sales order automatically created on vendors side, plant B.
Question is where is the link between vendor number (A) and supplying plant name (B):
How SAP identifies, what plant sales order (for created purchase order) should be generated at?
    Thanks!

  • Utilization(J2IUN) in case of Sales plant and Mfg plants are different

    Hello,
we are having two company codes 1000 and 2000,
1000 is having the Manufturing plant- 1000
2000 is having the sales plant      - 2000
Both the plant are having the same excise group-10
The company will procure a materials in 1000 plant and CENVAT is credited at 1000 Plant. The 1000 plant never dispatch materials to customers,  The company want to take Monthly utilization from 2000 company code and 2000 plant.
The company first make STO from 1000 plant to 2000 (Inter company STO), then 2000 company will sell that material to customer or delear or etc.
Manufaturing plant and disptach plants are different
How to take utilization in above said scenario.

As per above your input would like narrate as under.
As per SAP & Statutory norms Utilization is only happen when you avail credit and availing of credit is only possible when your plant is register with Excise thats only possible when you can declare your plant is in actively invloves in manfacturing activity ( Input and out put material will be differ) then you can register with Excise and get excise register the sam eyou can maintain in J1ID.
Now coming t your case which not possible as plant 2000 becomes Depot and depot scenario you can not utilize as you are not availing any input credit.
Son what you can do is pass the credit to 2000 plant and utilise in 1000 plants which is quite easy
And request you to create two different excise group as you can not assign same excise group to plant and deopt.
    Hope this helps you

    HI G. Lakshmipathi,
Thnks for the reply.Yes i am comparing (DWERK (at header level) and WERKS (at item level)) these two fields.
Any how we can give only one plant in Customer Master, we are not maintaining Customer/mtrl regard (Not required in our company scenario) and we have extended MMR to different plants.
So as per ur answer u went me to change only WERKS (at item level) while raising sales order for different plants. Is it enough?

  • FM or BAPI to change Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment

    Hi Experts,
I need to change the Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment. Is there FM or BAPI available for the same?
    Thanks,
    Peri.

what doesn't it do the same ? it contains planning plant and maintenance plant which you can update ??
if you expect that SAP delivers custom functions for every possible question a developer has you can better search for an other job. SAP makes generic functions and you can use them for you're own sollutions.
it is also expected that you try to work things out for you're own sollution.
you can find sample code quickly enough if you search where the function is used
    like RISTEQ01

what are the consequences in future.

    Hi Babu,
    Copy Means
This function is for creating a new plant using the settings for an existing plant as your template.
In copying of plant system copy all the objects into the new plantso you can work on them and chnge wherever you require. While in creating a new plant you have to define everything from scratch.
SAP always recommends to copy the plant from standard template of 0001 or 1000 so that it considerably reducing the time required for maintenance.
    Hope this will help you.

    hi,
Domestic plant should supply the material based on a ER1 raised against a CT3 provided by EOU.
You will have to do some Z programs to keep track of CT3 generated by EOU plants.
ER1 will be provided as in normal deemed export.

    Hi Abhishek,
If you use one planner group for one planning plant then how you will do the planner group wise cost analysis, which is  just like a section.Even under one planning plant you have to create more no. of planner group to ease your business clear & tracking the cost effectively. If you use one then there is no use of planner groupwise cost analysis.
Please think thtrough this aspect also might be you will get some help

  • Procurement plant and production plant

    Hi,
I have a scenario where the procurement plant and the procurement plant for raw materials are different. The assy is produced in Plant 1 in Repetetive manufacturing, but the raw materials are procured and stored in plant 2. The raw materials to be staged from the Plant 2 to plant 1.
How can we address this scenario.
    thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi,
Use spl procurement key Withdrawal from an alternative plant  is used for material which are procured as a component using withdrawal from an alternative plant. At the time of MRP the reservation will occur in an alternative plant if dependent requirements exist.
If that components are moved frequently from procurement plant for production , doing Stock transfer is tedious one. This time in component overview itself we can enter plant of  procurement material

  • Delivering plant and production plant

    hi,
what is the difference between delivering and production plant. is the config diff for bot these plants in enterprose structure.
    regards
    sachin

    Hi,
We have only one word as PLANT in standard sap. Forget about the difference  we dont have something specifically as a delivering plant and a production plant. Its only how we want to use our plant as.  If needed we can use the same plant for both the purposes ie., for delivery as well as for production.
When we make use of the plant for production we assign the MRP views for it and then do the necessary configurations. If there is no PP module being implemented we can do away without the MRP views as we availability check through the sales view itself. We have the trigger for a purchase requistion needed for the MM for a purchase order and have the materials delivered at out plant from the vendor like trading goods.
But, notice that in the material master Sales organization data view, you find the delivering plant fied for which the Field name would be MVKE- DWERK. It says deliver goods to the customer from this plant. If we specify the deliverin plant in the customer master shipping view the delivering plant field name is KNVV- VWERK, this has a higher precedence over the material master delivering plant.
Hope this explanation clears it furhter. Pl.reward if helps.
    Thanks & Regards

  • MD04 exceptions for planning plant and delivery plant

I have a material that is to be produced in another plant via a special procurement key.  When a production order is created at times on MD04 I can see exceptions at the planning plant and not the delivery plant.  Is there a way to make sure the planning plant displays the exceptions as well? Thanks in advance for any help.

I found the answer.  Since planning is only expected to be done at the planning plant the rescheduling dates and exception messages only apply there.  There isn't any config to allow the production plant to see the reschedule dates or exception messages.

  • Message No delivery type defined for supplying plant BP01 and document type

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a purchase order with a BP01 supplier and the BP02 division but I get the following error message No delivery type defined for supplying plant BP01 and document type.
When I create a PO with a BP02 supplier and the BP01 I do not get any message.
How can I fix it ?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Pierre

1)Create one Customer for Supplying Plant Sales area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO -
    > define Shipping Data for plants. and maintain the same sales area in your Supplying plant.
    2) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO.....for your Document Type: UB and Suppying plant Combination assign Del. Type NL and Checking rule RP
    3) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO...for your Supplying Plant and Receiving Plant combination Maintain Doc. Type : UB
Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for your Material at Supplying Plant.
    4) Maintain Shipping point at, SPRO----> Logistics Execution -
    > Shipping -
    > Basic Shipping Functions -
    > Shipping Point Determination for Plants.....there for your Loading group,Shipping Condition, Shipping Plant combination maintain Shipping plant..
Now Create STO in ME21N with Doc.type: UB at Receiving Plant.
Then Create Delivery in VL10B from Supplying Plant...
Then Do PGI in VL02N from supplying Plant.
Then do GR at Receiving Plant based on Outbound Delivery at Receiving Plant...

  • Route Determination and Shipping Point

    Hi,
In what way Route Determination and Shipping Point are connected.
    advise please.
    thanks

    Simon,
The country and transportation zone of the Shipping point is also considered for determination of Route in sales order and also for redetermining it in delivery.
The system can automatically determine a route for each item during order entry. If visit lists/plans underlie order entry the system uses the routes from the visit lists/plans. If no visit lists/plans exist, the system performs standard route determination. The following criteria affect route determination in an order:
    ·        Country and transportation zone of the shipping point (departure zone)
    ·        Shipping condition
    ·        Transportation group of the material
    ·        Country and transportation zone of the ship-to party
the system is to perform standard route determination in the delivery again, it also takes into account the weight group (weight of entire delivery). The system saves the delivery route in the delivery header. As it is saved in the document header the route applies to the whole delivery
