Route List & Route Group

Hello,
I have 2 location HO & Branch with call manager publisher 9.1 in HO and subscriber in branch. In HO users use E1 on VG to reach PSTN, I am planning to get E1 in Branch and I want branch users to go to PSTN by branch voice gateway, is it possible.??

Dear Jaime,
Can you elaborate more please,
I have 2 MGCP gateway HO and Branch, 4no's E1 ports of HO in  RG1 and 2 no's E1 ports of Branch in RG2,
In CUCM when I am creating a route pattern for example:9XXXXXXX and selecting RG1 then the call will flow from HO VG, how I shld make flow branch users from branch VG???

  • Is RTMT can monitor when the first Route Group of a Route List is not used ?

    Hi everyone,
I want to find how monitor this event in RTMT without success. I hope someone will have an idea to suggest !
    My problem :
I have one Route List (RL_Remote) wich is used to route calls between two sites. This Route List has two Route Group :
    - the first is a SIP trunk connected to my remote site (RG_SIP)
    - the second is a local route group wich used PSTN (RG_PSTN) [BACKUP]
Is it possible that RTMT sends me an alarm when calls are routing via RL_Remote but are not using RG_SIP ?
In fact, I want to receive an alarm as soon as the Backup Route Group (RG_PSTN in my example) is used.
    Thanks for your help !
    Have a nice day,
    Franck-Emanuel

    More or less correct yes:
    Core Issue
This issue can occur if an available route is not found in the indicated route list.
If  the call fails on the current gateway, Cisco CallManager attempts to  extend the call to the next route in the route list. This occurs until  it reaches the last route. If the call cannot be completed with the last  gateway, the Route List Exhausted event is logged.
These are possible reasons for a failure on the current gateway:
Unallocated number, such as a non-existing destination
    Busy user
    Out of bandwidth
Gateway fails to respond to the call setup request
The user receives alerts similar to this in the Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT):
Most  Recent Alert Raised: At 09:19:27 on 12/21/2005 on cluster  CALLMANAGER1-Cluster. Number of RouteListExhausted events exceed 0  within 60 minutes.
There  are at least five RouteListExhausted events (up to 30) received during  the monitoring interval from 09:07:27, 12/21/2005 to 10:07:27,  12/21/2005.

  • Route-List not using 2nd Route-Group when PRI cable is removed from H323 gw

    CCM 4.1.3sr3b
    Router - 2811 - 12.4.4T2
    1 site with 2 gateways, gw1 and gw2
RL has both gateways as RG's.
If gw1 has its PRI cable removed, CCM RL will not pass call into gw2 - Not working.
If gw1 is turned of/Ethernet removed RL will wait the h323 timeout before passing call to gw2 - Working OK.
Is this how H323 works if the PRI is down ?
I know MGCP would work but is not an option.
I would have thought that the H323 gw1 would report that there are no resources available in the cause code and the CCM when then use the second choice in the RL.
Now, this is a service parameter "Stop Routing on User Busy Flag*" which is set to true, but this only relates to intercluster trunks.
I've tried playing with the few voice hunt command on the router with no luck.
    Any advice or pointers.
    Thanks

Yes, saw this next to the user busy flag, but the help says this about "Stop routing on unallocated number"
"This parameter determines routing behavior for intercluster trunk calls to an unalloc ted number. An unallocated number represents a dialed directory number that does not exist in a Cisco cluster. Valid values specify True or False. When the parameter is set to True and a call that is being routed to a remote Cisco cluster through a route list is released by a remote Cisco CallManager because of the unallocated number, a local Cisco CallManager will stop routing the call to a next device in the route list. When the parameter is set to False, the local Cisco CallManager will route the call to the next device."
Again, it talks about intercluster links, I will try on Monday.
    Thanks

  • Acs 4.2 :- router# test aaa group tacacs+ uid pwd .... works but not when authenticating

I have setup ACS 4.2 and when I run
    router# test aaa group tacacs+ myuser mypasswd [ legacy | new-code]
                   Both options work fine
But when I try and login, over telnet, the request reaches the aaa server, but returns fail !
    My commands are :-
    tacacs-server host xx.xx.xx.xx single-connection port 49
    tacacs-server key xxxxxxxxxxx
aaa authentication banner ^CUnauthorized access forbidden^C
aaa authentication username-prompt "Enter Username: "
aaa authentication login default group tacacs+ local
aaa authorization exec default group tacacs+ local
I dont see the banner NOR the "Enter Username:" prompt.
Also a debug aaa authentication and debug aaa subsys show that the request reaches AAA, but it simply returns fail
I had the same issue in 5.1, but that was due to the tacacs+ single-connection not being set or something similar, and the error
there was "shared secret does not match", on the AAA server logs
I am still new to 4.2, so am still trying to determine where the log files are etc, but since it works with the test command, I cant
seem to understand why it fails with telnet
Any idea why this may be happning ?
    Thanks

I tried both the sugestion.. no luck

  • T1/E1 redundancy in Route List

    Hi All:
Can some one please help me to resolve the issue?
I have 2 route groups in a route list for a Dial pattern, but for testing purpose when I shut down one controller , it DOES NOT go automatically to 2nd route group.
    RL_Toronto
    --à RG-Tor  ----T1 with 24 channel in NM-HDV
    à RG-Ottawa -----T1 with 24 channel in NM-HDV
    9.[2-9]XXXXXX --  RL_Toronto
I tested each route group individually, it is working perfectly, however when I give it as redundant and shut down  one of the controller ( eg: When RG_Tor –T1 down, it should go to RG_Ottawa T1) but it is not taking the redundant T1 for backup.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated

Well, are these gateways MGCP or H.323? Sounds like they may be H.323. If
so, you have some options. There is a Call Manager service parameter you
could look into: "Stop Routing on User Busy" and "Stop routing on
unallocated number". They are set to true by default, you can set them to
false and force the CUCM to hunt through the route list.
You could also opt to leverage the following gateway configuration instead
of modifying the service parameters. I prefer the gateway config myself:
    no dial-peer outbound status-check pots
    HTH.

    Bill

  • Calling Party Number empty when the call gets to Route List

Caller id is not showing up on 911 calls.  Using Dialed Number Analyser I can see the calling Party Number fine through the route pattern.  Then in the Route List it comes up empty.  Nothing in the config of the Route List is restricting or manipulating the calling number.  Use calling party's external phone number mask is set to on.  We are using Standard Local Route Groups.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you see the caller ID on the GW in debugs?
What type of circuit is used for this call? If PRI can you provide "debug isdn q931"?

Resetting the MGCP gateway in Callmanager, bouncing the serial interface, E1 controller and No MGCP/MGCP has no impact.  I could also see the circuit was not full.
We have got round this by removing the gateway from the Route Group and pointing the Route Patterns directly at the gateway and this works.  I can see two of the bugs above are fixed in the latest 9.1.2SU3 code (9.1.2.13900-10), but I don't see CSCtq10477.  This bug document shows some 9.1 code is OK, but not this one.
9.1(1.21020.1) - Not listed for download, is this an ES?
9.1(2.10000.11) - Not listed for download, is this an ES?
9.1(2.10000.28) - 9.1(2) - but not shown in the release notes for 9.1(2) either.
Does anyone know if the Release notes just missed this out, or does the bug document need the Fixed versions to be updated?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    9.1(1.21020.1)  is an ES.
9.1(2.10000.28) is the base version of 9.1(2) so this bug will be fixed in this version or any higher version of 9.1(2).
Upgrading to the latest ES or 9.1(1) or 9.1(2)SU3 would take care of this bug.

  • How Route List work?

    Hey,
I would like to add 2 MGCP gateway in a Router list.
But, How CUCM knows if specif gateway is up? By Network conectivity, E1 port status or both?
    thanks.

    Hi Jean,
I just captured the snapshot from cisco document.
Route List allows Cisco CallManager to hunt through a list of Route Groups in a configured order of preference. A Route List consists of an ordered list of Route Groups. Route Lists expand the Route Groups concept and allow the user to order and prioritize your route groups. Multiple Route Lists can point to the same Route Groups. A Route List chooses a path for call routing and points to prioritized Route Groups.

  • Route List

    Hello everbody,
I have a route list which points to 3 route groups. Here's the order:
First one is a PRI in Boston (Primary), second is a T1 in Boston and the tired one is a PRI in New York. As Configured; when first PRI is not available the T1 has to kick in and when none of the links in Boston are available the PRI in New York has to take the charge. The links are working individually but when I unplug the PRI in Boston, we cannot make any calls. It looks like the switch over is not configured properly. Is there any configuration that I am missing? Where else de I need to look and configure in order to assure the failover?
    Thanks,
    BT

Also, one thing I noticed in the router config, you have dial-peer 101 pots configured, putting mcgpapp on the the PRI - the interop guide says you should not do this:
Restrictions for MGCP PRI Backhaul and T1 CAS Support
?Voice interfaces on the NM-HDA and the AIM-VOICE-30 are not supported.
?Integrated access, in which the channels on a T1 or E1 interface are divided between a group used for voice and another group used for WAN access, is not supported when voice is controlled by Cisco Unified CallManager through MGCP.
?T1 and E1 protocols, such as QSIG, E1 R2, T1 FGD, and PRI NFAS, are not supported with MGCP only with H.323.
    ?E1 CAS is not supported.
?Do not add the application mgcpapp command to dial peers that support PRI backhaul.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6441/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080541bf5.html
That used to be generated when you downloaded the config from CM, and then it went away, and I know we put it back in a few places, but now they specify that you should not. I wonder if you removed that and did a ccm config check reset on the router to redownload config if it would behave better - that is, if you determine that it is really not unregistering.

  • 1 PUB + 2 SUB and route list fails on 2nd SUB

    Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help me here it might be something I am over looking.
I have a Publisher with 2 subscribers. All phones registers on my 2 subscribers and the Pub does only my gateways and call processing.
On my route lists when it registers on my 1st sub the branch from that spesific route list can receive calls but cannot make any outbound calls. They just get a fast busy tone. Media resources is not a problem.
Then this only happens as well when I tick run on all active nodes under the route list. It is as if it over writes my Call Manager Group order.

    Hi.
When you enable  "run on all active nodes" you let the ip phone to use the CUCM where it is registered on to call out.
Verify that on your VG you configured dialpeers for all CUCM nodes.
Here is a very useful doc written by my friend Deji https://supportforums.cisco.com/blog/12088366/sip-trunks-and-run-all-active-cm-nodes
Give a look as far as you can.

  • Route list in Switch Executive

How can I get (in LabVIEW) the list of the configured routes in Smy witch Executive session ?

There is a way of accessing the routes and route groups of a particular virtual device programaticaly. You will need to have session manager server installed.
    1) Create an activeX session and connect to the session manager server 1.0.
    2) Select "IInstrSessionMgr" for the Automation refnum
    3) Enter your virtual device name in filter
    4) Select "ReturnRouteGroups" or "ReturnRoutes" for Flags
    5) Enter empty string in Category
    6) Change the Variant to data (Array of string) to get the names of routes or route groups.

  • Does the route list gets reset when adding route pattern in version 9 of CUCM?

    Hi All,
I created a new route pattern in call manager version 9 and then associated it to an existing route list. But when I was trying to save the route pattern. I was prompted with the message saying " Any updates to this Route Pattern automatically resets the associated gateway or Route List"
I was not able to see this message on CUCM version 8.6 however on CUCM version 9 it is there.
Does that mean that the route list/gateway will be reset and the existing calls will be dropped?
    Or is it a bug?
A response will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Farhad,
It does pop up when we modify the Route Pattern in CUCM 8.6 too.
If you asociate the GW/Trunk directly to Route Pattern, yes, it will reset them and calls will be interrupted. To avoid that, we need to associate the Route List to Route Patterns.

  • CCM 4.1 route list issue

We are trying to transfer a calls to an after-hours call center.  Unfortunately we are getting a fast busy when we attempt to forward.  When I run 'debug isdn q931' I can see the reason we are getting a fast busy is the number prefix is incorrect.  It's trying to forward the number with our 7 digit prefix in front of the calling number.  So our 7 digit prefix is 989-2525 and the calling party for example is 909-656-2222, so when it trys to forward the call it shows the calling party as '98925259096562222' which is why we get a fast buy.  The 7 digit prefix 989-2525 is defined in the Route List Configuration, which has to be set otherwise I'm unable to call inbound.  What's adding the prefix?  Sometimes I'll see the calling party as '98925259892525' and the call does go through.

    Heya Carlo!
When you say check if they are the same configured, you are referring to them both having the same selected partitions? I'm able to call the call center from my phone with the correct calling party number.
I'm using a translation pattern where I have a CTI port configured in the Called Party Transform Mask.  Under Called Party Transformations I have:
    Discard Digits: NONE
Called Party Transform Mask: 2600 <---- this is the CTI port I have configured
    Prefix Digits (Outgoing Calls): BLANK
Calling Party Transformation settings are blank.
As for the Route Pattern, I have one configured using the route pattern* 9.1909[2-9]XXXXXX where the discard digits is set for PreDot.  I'm actually thinking the issue with discarding digits incorrectly is in the route pattern, still reading up on that part now.  What do you think with this info provided?

  • Lead Time - Customizatiou0131n steps: Shipping point, route, and loading group

It says about delivery scheduling that "The lead time considers the shipping point, route, and loading group". Can anybody explain me briefly the customization menu steps about this sentence?

    2. Calculation Basis
    3. Condition Record
    4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
    • Weight
    • Volume
    • Variable capacity
    • Number of stops
    • Maximum duration
    • Loading units

You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue

  • Task assignment adapter - dynamic route to either group or user

I have configured an approval process in design console and I want to be able to dynamically route the approval request to either the target user manager OR a group. I have written logic/code to automatically determine what group or user to route the request to and also to set the key type to either user or group depending on my logic conditions.
This code is executed in a task assignment adapter and set the values for the key type and key depending on the logic.
i.e. the key type would be "user" and key would be the user key for the target user manager, if my logic determines it should be routed to a manager
    OR
the key type would be "group" and key would be the group key for the approval group, if my logic determines it should be routed to a group
HOWEVER MY PROBLEM is with assigning the adapter to a process task. I am thinking I would need to have two entries in the Assignment tab of the process task. The first entry has the default rule and I assigned the target type to "group" and include my adapter here.
How do I go about assigning the second entry for target type "user"? Since "Default" is the only rule option and I am not able to use it twice.
I tried to create a rule in the Rule Definition form and create a Task Assignment rule that might do something to check if a task is assigned to "user", so that I can have this as my second rule in the Assignment tab of the process task and if it is true, it would call my adapter that would return the key for the target user's manager.
I DO NOT KNOW what conditions to set in the Rule Element window for the Task Assignment rule. Can someone tell me what to do here OR provide me with a better alternative.

Thanks for all the responses. Approvals are now being routed correctly.
I have a follow-up question though........ I created a process adapter to send notifications to either the target user manager or members of the group that is the approval is routed to.
I have a notification process task as part of my approval process and in its Integration tab, I added my process adapter that sends notifications.
The code for the adapter uses the same logic I described in my original question to determine if the approval is being routed to a user of group. If it is routed to a group, the notification adapter identifies members of the group and sends email to them, this part works fine.
However the problem is when the logic determines it should be routed to the target user's manager. One of the variables of this notification process adapter is username of the target user. Using that username, my code determines who the manager, gets the manager's email address and sends the email. Problem with this is that when mapping variables for process adapters in the Integration tab, in the Map To field, it does not give you the option of mapping to Request Target User, which would have provided me with user attributes of the target user such as the user name. It provides option for the Requester, but my reality is that the Requester is not always the Target User.
Any suggestions for fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
