Route not found on nokia maps

Hi can anybody help.
I updated my firmware on my N95 recently and now when I try to plan a route a keep getting 'route not found' message.
I can see the local area map when I get a gps connection but if I type in an address , which is not in surrounding area I get the message above. If I move the map pointer in maps around I can move to an area where roads etc disappear.
For example I have my home address in landmarks and my work (approx 10 miles apart) and even though I'm able to see surrounding maps when I'm at either place it will not calculate a route from one to the other.
Help

We found that the N95 needed to be "on line" before it would calcualte a route.

well I purchased a 30 day licence on the mapping software and I must say the whole thing seems very buggy when compared to "other" products available.
My Problem is this, I have downloaded the maps via map loader (2 hours for uk!!) but when I go to plan a route I keep getting route not found!!!! any ideas???

Why have not pre-installed Nokia map in my nokia 5...

Hi everybody:
I come from Taiwan. I bought a nokia 5220 in my country but I found my phone have not pre-installed Nokia map. It's look like usually in my country. I browsed many websites they mentioned that Nokia 5220 has pre-installed "Nokia map" in the device in Europe. Does this application disabled in my country or something else?
ps. I have checked Menu > Organiser > but it doesn't have "Maps".

You can install the portable Firefox 3.6.x version, that comes with its own profile, to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.

You probably need to create a new profile because the SQLite version used in Firefox 3.5 is not compatible the the SQLite version that is used by current Firefox versions.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

E71 GPS 'route not found' when using device only s...

Hi, earlier today I was getting help to not get AT&T network data charges. I have set everything up per direction but now when I try to search for something and navigate to it I get 'Route not found'. Any ideas how to fix this?

WRT54G3G – "Router not found" when trying to configure broadband cable network

I have a WRT54G3G, v.1.1 router. I have used it successfully for ~3 years with mobile Internet (Huawei E800 card). Recently I installed broadband cable network in my place, tried to configure WRT54G3G to work with it and failed…
I tried manual configuration, and I was not able to set it up. I downloaded „Setup Wizard”, and tried all three options:
a) 3G/UMTS or GPRS
b) Broadband WAN Only
c) Broadband WAN and 3G/UMTS or GPRS
Only option a) can be completed successfully. When I try b) or c), I get following message from „Setup Wizard”: „Router not found, Please make sure the router is properly connected and try again.” I am sure I connected all cables as instructed.
When I plug cable network directly to my PC’s Ethernet slot, it is automatically configured, and all is working fine.
Can anyone advise please what to do? Thank you!

What is the ip address of your router? It seems like the WRT54G3G is already talking to your modem and is getting the connection properly. Make sure that the WRT is not on the 192.168.1.x segment.

Routing not found

Hi friends,
i have created routing for finish product .in MTO senario i went for MRP RUN after sales order is entered. .the corresponding planned order is created . but when itry to convert the planned order to production order a message is coming like <b>routing not found</b>.
so please syuggest what to do?its urgent

Check whether the routing is having valid status and Usage 1 or 3 - Status - 2 or 4. This you can check in the routing header.
Also check the validity based on Lotsize , whether the sale order quantity is within lotsize mentioned in the header of the routing.
Also check the Validity start date of the routing in the header, the Plannned order start date should be latter than the routing valid start date.

310n router not found

I have read the posts to see if I can find help but everything that has been said I tried.
We have a static ip address 192.168.1--.1-- dashes are actual #'s i left out. I also have mask, gateway, dns servers info. When I run CD say router not found. I also have no connection to internet when all wires are set up properly. "this prevents me form accessing 192.168.1.1 on the internet to change anything. can I take router home and make changes through my home optonline connection and bring back to work. Would that work? Any other ideas.

If you are using cable connection in Office also .... then you can take the router at home & configure the wireless router according to Optimum Online .... then again bring it here & connect it ...
Make sure that you should do power cycle .....after connecting the Router here with Modem .....

CityExplorer (Guides) not available in Nokia Maps ...

I upgraded my N95 to Nokia Maps 3.0.
Downloaded the latest Nokia Map Loader (3.0). But there I can't download any Services as in the old Map Loader.
There are no Global guides from Lonely Planet, Michelin, and WCities possible to download, as described in on the Nokia Maps homepage.

I have purchased a 2 years licens for CityExplorer. But anyway, it's not possible to download with Noka Map Loader 3.0.
Downloaded Nokia Map Loader 2.0.2 instead, there the folder "Services" is still available. But when I click on that, it always tells me:
Connection to the map server has been interruped. Make sure your Internet connection is working and retry. If you are still unable to download, try again later."

All right. So with POI you mean for example the petrol stations, restaurants, or shopping centers near my position?
I find them when I select "Explore" in the Map 3.0 menu.
Also, when I click on "Show Detail" at my current possion, or at one of the POI's I can select, and I have the internet connection online at that moment, then I will see the actuall weather information for this place.
The same when I click on the places I have saved under "Favorits". When I click on "show details", then I see the weather information about this point. (when Internet connection is on). - Nice!
But anyway, I'm missing the "Lonely Planet & Michelin" guides. Also I haven't found the "WCities entertainment" yet, described in in the link I posted in my previous post. Maybe it's only available for a few cities.

N97 FM Transmitter is not working in nokia maps

Hi. I don't know if this topic was already discussed here. I didn't find it.
If I have activate the fm-transmitter in my car and nokia maps is running as well, the output of the music comes over the radio, but the output voice of nokia maps comes over the phone. If any advise comes from nokia maps, the connections interrupt via fm-transmitter completly. During the time of the nokia maps advise both, music and nokia maps, sending the sound via phone. Is there any possibility to avoid that problem?Thanks for any help.

This feature is not currently supported by Nokia Maps. (despite it being included in the previous versions of Ovi Maps)

Compared with map of maps.nokia.com I have map of Argentina out of date, but when I from Nokia Maps 3.06 (at a N97 mini) select update, it say all my maps are up-to-date

If whilst in Ovi Maps application you tap on "?" middle of row > About Maps > Versions > Map version - is it 0.2.44.110?

Router not found

Can somebody try and help me please?
Ok here is the problem I have 2 computers in my house. Computer A is the one that I have the Modem and wireless router on. Computer B is the one I have the wireless card in. Computer A was having problems connecting to the internet while Computer B has always been working. We called brighthouse they got the Computer A working then the Computer B will not work. I tried uninstalling the router and wireless cards then restalling then but it is saying that they can not detect a router.
Router model number is: wrt54gs
Router version number is: 6
Wireless card model number is: wmp54g
Wireless card version number is: 4.5

brighthouse is cable connection, right? in some cases, router will just work automatically with no configuration at all, but there are some cases that u need to enable mac clone on the router for it to work.
Try to ping router...click on start then run, type cmd press ok, then type ping<space>192.168.1.1 if u can get replies good since the router in communicating to the pc...if not there's a problem with the connectivity.
How long have u had the router?

Transferred route from Nokia Maps to phone not the...

I planed a route on the Nokia Maps site with a couple of waypoints and some options (no toll roads, no motorways) to get it the way I wanted.
Then I did the synchronization of favorites on the phone and the route was there. But when I tried to open the route on the phone the "Calculating route" message appears and the route that shows up is COMPLETELY different from the one on the Nokia Maps: different roads, strange ways to get to the waypoints, ... In short I can not use this route on the phone as I would like.
Is there a way to transfer complete route AS IS from Nokia Maps to the phone Maps application?

Well I don't get it - why is there a need to do the route calculation twice? I would expect that once the route is calculated on a PC (including the directions) it would be transferred in some kind of way to the device as is (like transferring gpx files to the GPS device).
Anyway, even if it is so that the device recalculate the route once again I really don't understand why the same route gets completely different shape on the device then on the PC/Web. One would expect the calculation from the same provider (Nokia Maps) yields the same results regardless of where it is executed.

Tracking option in Latest Nokia Maps gone

Hi everyone, Ive updated my Nokia Maps on N95. Used their 3 days free trial, and now the tracking option has disappeared from the route menu. On the old version you could plan a route from A to B, and instead of Navigating there, you could use the Start Tracking option. This seems to be no longer available. Now if I plan a route, it wants me to buy the navigation stuff. Has any one else had this problem. The maps app is practically useless now unless you want to buy a licence key.

I too was made a victim of Nokia's failure to inform 'Maps' users of the lack of Tracking capabilities in the latest version of Nokia Maps.
I couldn't have been more dissapointed with the latest installment of a program which i had previously been very happy with! My reasons are simply,
1) I don't think the interface is accesible as that in previous versions of Nokia Maps
2) The lack of tracking capabilities
Like so many of you in this discussion i updated Maps and found i disliked the update and wanted to revert back to the latter version, easier said than done but i managed to do it...
First I performed a Hard Reset (*#7780#): WARNING, i recommend backing up the phones data first, i found this out the hard way!
After setting the country, time, date etc i found that Nokia Maps and a number of other Applications had been replaced by another set of icons and were named differently, eg. Nokia Maps now couldn't be opened and was called Smart2Go.
To rectify the apparently worsened problem i downloaded the Nokia Software Updater which informed me that although i had the latest Firmware i could reinstall it - i did this and PROBLEM SOLVED!
I hope by sharing my experience others might have their problem solved. I think the solution lies in reinstalling the phones software on Software Updater.

'Class not found' in the Mapping Workbench usually means that one of your classes was not included in the 'class path' panel. In the Mapping Workbench select the project -> Class Path -> Add Entry...
For example, in my case I have Person.class, which is part of the package com.toplink.course. 'C:\dev\tl400\classes\com\toplink\course>Person.class'
So in the Mapping Workbench -> Class Path I put 'C:\dev\tl400\classes'

Nokia Map Loader doesn't recognize the 5800XM

Hello, I have a 5800 Xpress Music and I have downloaded some maps to it from Nokia Map Loader.
Now it is not working and in Nokia Map Loader it waits for the phone (it does not recognize it) when I connect it through USB.
In Nokia Ovi Suite it says that the phone does not work with Nokia Maps or that the maps and voice guidance and corrupted.
I went to make a trip with my car and the voice guidance worked properly.
I tried to download again the Map Loader and it installed the “maps_installer_3.03_1”. And Nokia Map Loader 3.0.28.0.
I have the firmware 50.0.005 downloaded too.
What can I do to download some more maps to my 5800?
I have looked for solutions in the forum but I did not find them.

It seems that there is something wrong with the files in your phone. Run a disk check of your card on your PC. It may fix the problem.
If it doesnt, you will have to manually delete the voice and maps on your phone and recreate the folder structure.
Delete the cities folder and qf file on your memory card. Turn off phone and remove battery for 5min. Reboot phone then open maps application. Wait for it to recreate folder structure. Then reconnect to Ovi Suite and redownload the maps.
