Router / Camera access question

I have some network cameras in my house, and have set them up to be viewed remotedly over the internet.  I have port forwarding in place and dyndns in place and everything's working fine.  My question is - is there some way to know when someone is connecting to one of my cameras?

I think there is no such option to view who is connected to your camera. The best way to keep your camera secured do not share the DynDNS link or the Internet IP Address with anyone.

My family owns an Apple Airport router, and my question is that is there a were to remotely access the router and turn it off and on? Thanks

Richard's suggestion will turn off and turn on the wireless function on your Mac computer......but.....it will not do anything as far as turning your Apple AirPort router on and off.......which seems to be the question that you are asking above.
If this is the question that you are asking, it is not possible to power the Apple router on and off from either a local or remote location.

  • [New_Feature_Requirement] [iOS 8] Detecting permissions for camera access

Here is the feature request: Feature#3837401 - [New_Feature_Requirement] [iOS 8] Detecting permissions for camera access
Problem: The camera privacy control is now required by iOS 8 for all regions. With iOS 8 any application that use camera encountered with a dialog asking for permission.
    http://useyourloaf.com/blog/2014/07/16/ios-8-camera-privacy-settings.html
But we cannot detect permission for camera access by AIR.
StatusEvent event not firing by AIR: "Note: This event is not dispatched on the AIR platform. It is used only in Flash Player."
    Camera - Adobe ActionScript® 3 (AS3 ) API Reference
So, if user don't allow use camera our application even cannot detect that. It could make application useless. Also it could cause problems with our applications in AppStore.
Please consider to provide some way to handle camera access. It could be StatusEvent like with Flash Player.

  • How do I turn off the Camera access from the lock screen

how do I turn off the Camera access from the lock screen ?

Only by hiding the camera via Restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions. That hides the camera when unlocked unless you go to Restrictions  and unset that Restriction. That is not way currently from just preventing camera access only from the lock screen

  • No camera access in Flash 11 on OS X Lion

    Hi,
I've looked around and haven't found seen many issues like mine but I'm hoping I'm not the only one.
I just upgraded from 10.3 to 11 and no matter what I did my video camera (built in isight) on macbook pro 2007 never turned on. Even though it asks me for permission to use it and I allow it too.
Everything worked just fine in 10.3
    Here's what I tried:
    1. Uninstall 10.3 using the uninstall tool provided by Adobe
    2. Install 11 using the latest download from Adobe
    3. Uninstalling the Google Talk plugin (I saw posts on the net about a possible issues..but i never had this with 10.3)
    4. Rebooting
Still nothing..black screen and no cam access.
I always use http://www.koowy.com for video cam conferences and had to go back to 10.3 to get my cam to work. I reinstalled Google Talk plugin and it all works fine with 10.3
Hopefully, this is a known issue and will be fixed.
I'm on OS X Lion, MacBook Pro (2007), Both FireFox 7.01 and Chrome and Safari 5.1 are effected.
Playing videos works perfectly it's just cam acess that seem broken.
Ultimately, I am back at 10.3 for now.
If there is any other information I can provide, let me know.
    Thanks,
    - Tim

    Here is my System information:
Like I said 10.3 is working fine but 11 won't turn on the camera even after allowing access in the popup dialog.
Anyone on 11 have their camera working?

  • Xoom Front Camera Access?

From what im reading on the forums there is no support yet for front camera access on the Xoom (Droid 3.0) under AIR 2.6. I have a project that requires it. Given this has to go out on both iOS and Android I would love to build it in air and not write two separate apps. Is there an ETA on when access to the front camera might be accessable? The app is still internal as an alpha but I need to have a working demo within a few weeks. With a public date in a few months. Is there any chance of getting alpha/beta compilers/packers to test code on? Or am I going to need to scrap this and do it with the native sdks?

I'm interested in this as well. I have a project that is pretty much complete, i'm just waiting for official front facing camera support to put the application on the market.
I was following a topic months ago where someone explained that the only reason Air for Android didn’t support the front facing camera was simply because the native android OS at the time (froyo) did not technically support it. However, since Gingerbread android OS has had official font facing camera support, and now we’re on Honeycomb. And Air still does not seem to support it. If i do a Camera.names it only returns default. Anyone have any idea why this isn't higher up on adobe's priority list for air for android?

  • Aironet 1600 - A response was not received from the router or access point

    Hi,
I'm trying to set up a wireless network with multiple SSID's. The new network only has CISCO products (router, switches). For the moment I'm trying to connect to 1 SSID (Windekind.Gast). the SSID is visible but when connecting devices have te folowing error message in the log:
    Connection status summary
    Connection started at: 2015-02-17 09:55:49-951
    Profile match: Success
    Pre-Association: Success
    Association: Fail
    Security and Authentication: Not started
    Root cause:
    Wireless association to "Windekind.Gast" failed
A response was not received from the router or access point.
    Detailed root cause:
Wireless association to this network failed. Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or accesspoint.
The signal is perfect (I'm only a few feet away from the AP).
To make sure there is no dhcp problem I tested the swich port in access mode for vlan 30 which supplied an IP correctly. I'm really not seeing the problem and searched the web for days now! Any help would be very much appreciated!
Below the config of the access point (done via de web interface).

    Hi Rasika
thanks for the reply! 10.0.0.81 belongs to vlan 1. I changed the config as suggested but no luck.. (same problems are logged in the event viewer). the ap is connected to a switchport in trunk mode and vlan 1 is the native lan (untagged). the port also is joined to vlan 30 (and others).
Below the new config. Hope you can see an error..

  • Camera access delay

    Hi,
camera API worked fine in viewer but there's a bug in application downloaded from store. Camera access alert appears with big delay! Users have to skip the article with no result and get the alert several articles later. I've tested it on six devices (from iPad2 to iPad Air) and the feature worked promptly on two of them (4th and Air). It doesn't work at all in DPS Tips app (iPad 3)!
Sure the needed checkbox is active. Folio version is 28.
    Guys please check the API

I found out that camera workes well when issue is downloaded to the end. But unfortunately the feature is lost for those who don't want to wait and start reading immediately

  • Router and access point

Likely either or. Of course if you "need" wireless you have to have an AP somewhere and many of them are capable of serving up DHCP and doing many functions of a small broadband thingy (I won't call these things "routers", "thingy" seems more appropriate)  :)

which one i should use a router or access point to create a home network lab where i can play around with the DNS and DHCP configuration without changing the ISP router setting??

  • E3000 FTP access question/using Cisco connect after router setup

I have two questions about my E3000 router.
    1. If I have already set up my router using the default web address, if I use the Cisco connect software, do I gain any benefit or am I opening up a can of worms? I would like to change my server name and default admin user name stuff, but I don't want to screw with any settings I have. I will be updating my firmware in a day or so, so should I use the software then, or just go about it the way I have already?
    2. I have enables FTP access for my USB drive, but I am unsure how to access it from a remote computer. I know using ftp://xxx.xxx.x.x gets me to my Index while connected to my network, but how do I access this off my network? I want to give our parents and family access to pictures, but I''m not sure of the exact address to use. I have looked in the set-up manual, and searched Google and this site, and have found nothing.
Thank you in advance for your help!
    Dan

If you have configured your Router using the Cisco Connect software, then you it secure your wireless network with an password. If you have any firewall and antivurs software on your router then it will protect your computers against worms.
To use the FTP feature of your router you need to enable ftp login on your router, which you will find under the storage tab of your router.

  • WRT54GS V6 access question.

    Just set up the network.
    WRT54GS with a Wireless-G USB adapter
2nd pc is linked and working great!
Question is: How do I access the 2nd pc from the 1st pc?
I click on my computer > network places > view computer work groups.
When I click on the 2nd pc it ask for a password. Where would I find the password to access the 2nd pc? I checked the Easylink advisor but can't find anything.
Anyone know? I would like to transfer files from one pc to the other.
Message Edited by asgrafxx on 02-10-200712:09 PM

Hi… This is the login password for you PC and nothing do with your router or adapter. If you have setup any account on this computer such as administrator or any other, you can provide login credentials for the same and access the shared resources on that PC.
