Router not picking internet up

I have reconfigured my router and reset its old settings I had on it. The wierd thing is that I have a few problems:
1. I dont have the installation CD for my router. And when I try to log into it with the default IP adress, it wont let me. I would like to know how to set up my router (like giving it a name and what not) without using the CD that came with it if possible.
2. Before I configured my router, my Wii would pick up my routers signal (when I had no ethernet cable connected to it to give it an internet signal) but when i connected the cable to the router, my wii picked up the signal but wouldnt give me internet connection. I wouldnt want this to happen again with my router configured and all. I think it may have to do with I.P. adresses or something. Im not too good with computers, so if any of this seems rather sonfusing I apoligize, I just dont want to have to buy another router. Again, I have a WRT54G Wireless G Broadband Router v8. Any help is appreciated.

I would recommend you to reset your router and then re-configure it...
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...
Then, unplug the power cable while holding down the reset button for another 30 Seconds...
Plug the power cable back in, and keep holding down the reset button for another 30 Seconds...
Release the reset button...

  • Router not picking up modem. (Please Help)

Hello there, I have been using my linksys e3000 router for almost 2 years... no problems at all..
But today a storm came and for some reason after the power outage my router no longer seems to pick up singal from my modem... everything will light up...the wifi light.. and the lights '' 1...2..3...4 ''  but the light showing there is internet will not come on at all....everything is setup right... I can't access the Linkys 192.168.1.1 page anymore.... I tried to reset the router to default settings and nothing will happen.... it will not get singal from the modem at all...
I'm not sure what to do at this point...my internet works fine as I am on here from a direct connection from the modem...so the problem is my router... it will not pick up any form of singal from my modem... I have tried putting in the disc that came with the router...restarting the router....resetting the router... restarting the modem...my pc...nothing will work... is there anything I can do to get my router working again?
    Thanks for any help.

If I am mistaken, your modem’s ip address is probably 192.168.1.XX and that’s the reason why the router’s ip address has been changed to 102.168.1.1. I would suggest that you start from scratch by disconnecting the modem from the router and to reset the router. You can then follow the steps below to manually configure the router based on the internet connection type that you have subscribed.

  • Routing not picking in prdn order

    Dear Gurus
While creation of production order the system is not able to pick up the operations of routing instead it is generating an operation
in the production order itself with the status opgn.In the log for read pp master data in production order it is showing Sel. ID 01, priority 01 for task list type N selected. This is okay as I have maintained in selection id 01  the  usage 01 and  status 04 the same I have maintained in  routing. If I remove the workcenter from the operation of the routing then the system is picking up the routing.I have also checked the workcenter usage it has application p that is of routing. Please advice.

    Hi Brahmankar,
As per your reply to this thread -
    Dear,
OPGJ setting is for order type and plant so it is having priories over the setting of OPPQ. So please delete the entries from OPJG and check it again.
    Regards,
    R.Brahmankar
Hi have tested this scenario and found system selects the routing maintianed as master data however I have also maintained the default operation in OPJG,
I am also facing the same issue as my production orders are not reading the routing master data for some particular materials/orders.
For most of the cases it is picking up the routing as expected. Please advise.
    Thanks.

  • Can I use an airport express as a range extender to a NON apple router using an internet cable (so not wireless)

can I use an airport express as a range extender to a NON apple router using an internet cable (so not wireless)

Yes, if the AirPort Express is set up to create a wireless network that uses the exact same wireless network name as the other router and the same wireless network password as the other router.

  • IPhone 5s can connect to wireless WIFI router but can not access internet.

iPhone 5s can connect to wireless WIFI router but can not access internet at work. The admin says the router lets my iPhone connect to LAN, but the iPhone does not have server IP to access the internet. I entered the server IP and port number in the HTTP PROXY fields but I still can not access the web. Any ideas?
    TIA

You IT person should be able to sort this out.  But, they seems to be too busy or disinterested to do this.  Suggest you provide the it person with an iPhone to get interested.
Any could be lots of things.
The best you can do is to get access to the admin setup for networking on a pc?  The internet settings are all the same.  Only what names the manufactures change from OS to OS. Check and compare parameters.
Phone works to internet at home, I assume?

  • Schema ID and Category ID is not picked in case routing

    Dear Experts,
Currently I am working on SAP CRM 7.0 SP06. Now I am trying to do the settings for case routing based on rule policy.
I have done the following settings for the above requirement.
I have defined application area (as Case Management) in multilevel categorization.
I have created category schema in web ui with application id as case management.
I have created rule modular as if case category is xxx then route to xxx Org unit.
I have maintained this rule policy under service manager profile.
Now the problem is when I hit escalate button schema id and category id is not picking so my rule is getting failed.
Could you please advice if I missed any settings and also please share if you have some document which will explain steps to get the above functionality.
And also please let me know where we assign Reference category ID to a case.
Kindly share your views over the same.
    Thank you.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

  • Sub:ck11n not picking the routing automatically

    Hi Guru,
Create cost estimation (ck11n) ,not picking the routing data automatically

    Dear Jothi,
Goto OKKN,check for the costing variant under quantity structure control tab, whether the routing selection ID is assigned properly.
Say if selection ID is 01 and the first priority is for N task list type(that's normal routing),then the system will pick it automatically.
Likewise if it fails to find N,then it searches for the second priority given in the same selection ID.
This is how it picks for costing in CK11N,Also check the routing status in CA03,under header whether it's 4 - released and usage
    is for 1 production.
    Check and revert

    Hi,
WIFI stopped working after I woke the computer up, now says connected to the network but not the internet, all other coputers and devices connected still with no problems, have pinged IP address from router and got the message "4 packets sent none received"... Help
I have tried network diagnostics which doesnt help... The only other ting is, when I woke the computer up it said tat another device was using my IP... My wife had plugged her phone into the computer to charge etc but even when i turn wifi off on the phone there is no change... also in settings on the phone the IP address is different...

The answer to your question is - neither!
Your PC should to configured to obtain an IP address automatically, and to obtain DNS server IP addresses automatically, from the Airport Express. This is the way Windows (and Macs for that matter) are configued by default, and that is the way most people have their computers set up. If you manually configured your PC's IP address to be the same as your wife's Mac, it certainly explains why your PC is not able to access the internet.

I want to change Router2's Operating Mode from "Gateway" to "Router" because I
want to turn off NAT on Router2 so that I can access all computers attached to
Router2 by their individual IP instead of using port forwarding at Router2.
The problem is after the mode change from "Gateway" to "Router", and regardless
whether I disable RIP or enable RIP, and on what interfaces it is enabled, computer
192.168.2.160 does not have internet connection.
    Observations:
[0] INTRAnet works as I can reach computer 192.168.2.160 from computer behind Router1
    192.168.1.x and vice versa.
[1] ping and traceroute *work* on Router2 itself using the built-in dianostic tool.
[2] nslookup on computer 192.168.2.160 always works on new lookup. It uses
    192.168.2.1 as the resolver.
[3] tcptraceroute stops after step 2:
    [pre]
    # tcptraceroute yahoo.com
Selected device enp2s0, address 192.168.2.160, port 45999 for outgoing packets
Tracing the path to yahoo.com (98.139.183.24) on TCP port 80 (http), 30 hops max

     2  192.168.1.1  1.342 ms  0.964 ms  0.867 ms
     3  * * *
    [/pre]
[4] tcpdump shows that computer 192.168.2.160 tries to reach out and nothing is returned:
    [pre]
    13:34:03.172828 IP 192.168.2.160.45999 > 98.139.183.24.http: Flags [S], seq 1122548929, win 0, length 0
    13:34:06.175786 IP 192.168.2.160.45999 > 98.139.183.24.http: Flags [S], seq 1122548929, win 0, length 0
    13:34:09.178804 IP 192.168.2.160.45999 > 98.139.183.24.http: Flags [S], seq 1122548929, win 0, length 0
    [/pre]
This is not expected because NAT to internet should still be done by Router1, no? Computer
behind Router1 with IP 192.168.1.x has internet connection.
[5] It looks like I cannot change the Routing Table Entry on Router2. I do not think I need to change anything,
    just an observation.
[6] If I use LAN to LAN connection, then both intranet and internet works. [The internet IP of Router2 can be
anything not in the same subnet of the Router1, and DHCP on the local side should be disabled to avoid conflict
with the the DHCP on Router1].

I have a question. Unfortunately in order to ask my question, I have to have a lengthy description of my setup. Basically, I have a second Linksys router in "router" operating mode with NAT disabled connected to the Verizon router, and I have a computer which is in a different subnet (192.168.2.x) behind the Linksys router. This computer can communicate with computers behind Verizon router in subnet (192.168.1.x), but cannot reach internet. This is a simplified version of my question, full details are in the original post.
If I setup the Linksys router in "gateway" operating mode, which means with NAT enabled, then both intranet and internet works, but there is no easy way to setup port forwarding for 10 compueters in 192.168.2.x network to communicate with 10 computers in 192.168.1.x network.
If I setup the Linksys router in a LAN to LAN configuration with Verizon routers, but this way all computers are in the same subnet, I want them to be in different subnet for access control and things like that.
I hope this makes things a little clear.
    Thanks.
