Router says not connected to internet but I am.

I have a wireless lap top and a hard wired printer and computer. All are reconized by the router. All required lights are on. Can go to internet with no problem, but the router adviser states "NO INTERNET CONNECTION FOUND"
I have tried the recommended proceedures, but still get same message. version 6 wrt54gs firmware 1.52.0

Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you have a minimum of 15% free disk space.

My router WRT54G says I am not connected to the internet and will therefore not broadcast to my laptops. Obviously since I am able to post here I am connected to the internet. Additionally the internet light on the front of the router is lit up so I am wondering what can be done. I have even tried to re-install the router but since it cannot verify an internet connection it will not install.

If you trying to setup your router with the Setup Disk, You dont need to run the setup on your computer, As far as you are able to go online from the Router, you dont have to worry about the Linksys LELA. Its better you Uninstall the Linksys LELA software from your computer and still you will be able to go online from the Router.

Safari says not connected to internet on certain sites when connection is good and IMG[] images don't show up anymore?

I recently updated to 10.6.8 from 10.5.x and have been having some issues. First, Safari will say that my computer is not connected to the internet, but it is. I can be on YouTube, for example, and then try to go to eBay, and it will say not connected to internet, but I can go to Google and it will be fine without doing anything. Almost like it cannot connect to the server, but the message is that I'm not connected to the internet. I can turn Airport off and back on and get on most pages that wouldn't open originally. It's not site-specific. Sometimes it's Google, Facebook, eBay, YouTube, forums, etc. and other times those same sites work just fine.
The next problem, which I feel is related is that IMG[xxx] images won't open some of the time now on forums that have Photobucket and Tinypic IMG codes inserted into threads. It will just show the blue box with a question mark. I think that's because my Safari can't open the image hosting websites because sometimes when I click on the blue box to open the link, it says not connected to the internet and Photobucket seems to be one of the regular problem sites.
I've tried clearing my cache, reseting Safari, and a few other suggestions on here from similar problems, but I haven't seen a post describing my same issues exactly. I have not tried Firefox and would prefer to keep using Safari.

Try repairing permissions.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Select: Repair Disk Permissions
This can take a few minutes and better to not use your Mac while it's running.
When it's finished, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
Repairing permmissions helped another user with the same problem > "You are not connected to the internet"...: Apple Support Communities

I did try turning off the firewall, and reducing all the security levels to a minimum (under Control Panel>Internet Options). Also, I'm using a direct cable from my m/c to the Airport Extreme. But nothing helps. Due to the usage pattern in my family, using the MacBook for configuring the network is not optimal, hence my struggle to do it on my Windows desktop. But if that is the only way to go I suppose I'll have to.
Subsequent to posting my query, I discovered that Apple had not singled me out, and many others with a Win OS face this problem, too. I would have thought Apple would do a proper job of testing before putting up the Windows version of Airport Utlity on their site.

Check your router settings and see if you have Wireless QoS (WMM) enabled? If so, diable it. This fixed my problems, and had the benefit of speeding up my wifi in the process.

I was able to update my iPhone 4S to 6.1.1, BUT :: I could not update to 6.1.1. from my iPhone. I received the same message as everyone else saying that my iPhone was not connected to the Internet, which is was. (I was able to access my mail etc. via Internet.)
Instead I connected my iPhone to my computer via ITunes via the cable. I then downloaded the software on my computer and updated the iPhone from the computer. While I was downloading the software on to my computer, which is only connected to the Internet via ethernet, the same message as above appeared on my iPhone about not being connected to the Internet. I pressed cancel. The software continured to download on to the computer and then on the iPhone.
