Router service crashing 8.5.2

ICM 8.5.2
i have installed the router and logger on both A and B sides. The router logger service is working fine on the A side but on the B side it is crashing causing the machine to restart. Is there something that i am missing.
Regards,
Sandeep

Well, the first thing you want to do is remove the setup setting that is instigating a node restart. In the registry.
Secondly, run a dumplog on rb\nm to see if you can see why the node manager is restarting the rtr processes. If it does not tell you, check dumplog on mds to see what is going on with the private connection between the sides.
The normal way to test the situation is as follows. Stop everything first.
1. Start logger A
2. Start router A.
3. Check the rtr A log with dumplog or evsmon - you should see it sitting there, waiting to talk to its peer (router B)
4. Start router B. Watch the log of rtr A with evsmon (it was easier on Windows 2003 than Windows 2008 because you could watch the process windows, but we have to live with the change). You should see rtr A detect its peer and start to download the config from logger A into memory. Router B will get mirrored state from Router A. You don't use logger B for this test.
If rtr A does not do this, use regedit to turn up the trace on both router MDS processes (0xffff will be fine - remember to clear this later as it's a hog). Are these guys hooking up across the private link.
Most likely you have messed up the public / private configs. Go over it again. Draw a Visio diagram and mark all host names and addresses on your diagram. Are you using host names for all (including private and private high). In turn, sit on each router and ping the other side by the private host names. Maybe run tracert to check the private path (make sure it's not going out the default gateway). Did you have to create persistent static routes? Are they correct?

  • Windows Search Service Crashes on Windows Server 2012 R2

    Hi,
    I'm running Windows Search service on a Windows Server 2012 R2 (24GB RAM, 8-core proc). The index catalog has a little over 2 million items (files and folders indexed).
    Every once in a while this service crashes, and either remains in limbo or automatically recovers and restarts the index from zero. I'm trying to find out information about what may be causing the crashes and about how to prevent them. Unfortunately, I don't
    seem to be able to find much about the Windows Search service on Windows Server 2012 R2. So anyone who may have input on this, please chip in.
    Additional info:
    - As mentioned above, the server OS is Windows Server 2012 R2. This is a physical server with 24GB RAM, 8-core proc and over 2TB of storage.
    - This server acts as a DC and as a File Server. In addition to this and Windows Search service, there are no other major services running here
    - Symantec Endpoing protection is installed and running on this server, but I've made sure to exclude the Window Search database from SEP
    Here are some of the errors that are generated when the issue happens:
    The error below may show up in the event logs. If it shows up more than once, the indexing service has likely crashed and won't recover.

    I attempted to stop the indexing service, but it didn't stop. I noticed though that the indexing GUI started responding as soon as the
    the service stop command failed. The indexing service seems to have picked up where it was (~300K items) and continued indexing.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post.
    To resolve this problem, use the Registry Editor to change the default timeout value for all services.

  • Windows 8.1 - All services crashing repeatedly!

    Hi,
       I recently bought a HP laptop. It came with a HDD. But I added an mSATA SSD and cloned it to my SSD. Everything went fine. But recently I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Then my PC started behaving weirdly! After the update, the system wouldn't boot
    to shell (explorer). After restarting several times and I spawned explorer.exe from taskmanager. Even that I didn't help. Then after observing the taskmanager for a while, I noticed an exe which was consuming some CPU. I killed that exe and my PC started the
    shell properly. Then after a restart, I am not able to update anything. Even though there are 12 updates, I am not able to select and install them. Windows Update merely shows as though it's updating and then nothing happens and ends with a 800706BA Code error.
    Then I checked event viewer, I found out that there are many services (All system services) crashing frequently and then they are being restarted by service control manager. I am planning to downgrade to windows 7 if there is nothing that I could do!
    Thanks in advance,
    Shri Ganesh

  • Creation of Users causes Password Service Crash

    Hi All,
    I somehow managed to post this in the wrong forum in PHDs - sorry about that, so am re-posting here in something more appropriate:
    I have 3 Intel XServes and 2 Mac Pros on different sites which all have the same issue. When I create a user in Workgroup Manager, the following error occurs and the Password Service crashes:
    "Got unexpected error
    Error of type Not a known DirStatus (-1) on line 1922
    of /SourceCache/ServerManagerUserGeneral/
    ServerManagerUserGeneral-193.4.1/
    UserAdvancedPluginView.mm"
    As well as the password service crashing, it causes all other users to stop authenticating until the server is rebooted.
    If I create a user with the default shortname (i.e. untitled_1) then the service does not crash. I have reinstalled the OS, replicated my build on a PPC machine with no issues but continue to have this error on the Intel machines. I have even tried installing the server OS onto an Intel iMac just to test and it does the same thing, including OSX Server 10.4.7 and 10.4.8
    Has anyone else come across this or have any suggestions on what may have caused it?
    Cheers,
    PJR

    Have just realised why my XServe does not have the "MacOSXServerUpd10.4.8Univ.pkg" sitting in the receipts folder.... the server shipped with a 10.4.8 disc so that is the 'base OS' for it.
    Have just checked another server running 10.4.8 on a Mac Pro and that does have the file as originally (because it doesn't ship with the Server OS) came with a 10.4.7 Server install disc.
    I have upgraded the XServe to 10.4.9 using the combo update and initial testing seems to show that it is all working properly, however this server is in an integrated environment and not authenticating users usually.
    I will have to backup another server running full OD services and try an upgrade (or reinstall the pkg) on this.
    Many thanks!!

  • Active Directory Domain Services crash after Administrator renames object in Active Directory Users and Computers

    Hello.
    We have two domain controllers - node1 (Windows 2008 R2) and node2 (Windows 2012 R2). When administrator connects to node2 and tries to rename some object in AD (for example, user) AD Domain Services crashes and reboot server after 60 seconds.

     Hi Azamat Hackimov,
    Regarding to error messages, it seems that the
    ntdsai.dll file caused the issue. Based on current situation, please use
    sfc /scannow command to scan protected system files and check if find error and repair. Meanwhile, you can also navigate to the location of this DLL file and confirm details.
    In addition, Windows Server 2012 R2 has reboot unexpectedly. Please check if you get some dump file and then analysis it. It may help us to find the root reason. Please refer
    to the following KB.

  • Exception in creating XSLT transform for ESB Routing Service

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a Routing service in an ESB project. When I try to create the XSLT in a routing rule I get this error "Error while reading wsdl file esb:///ESB_projects/...../ship.wsdl ... Failed to read WSDL file at location esb:///ESB_projects/...../ship.wsdl . java.net.Socket Exception.
    I am able to create and register other adapter/soap services on the ESB server but not able to create this transform.Could anybody guide me as to how to resolve this?
    Regards,
    Sri

    The file doesn't physically exist on the server. If you explore the subfolders of the %OH%\integration\esb\oraesb folder, you'll see how ESB projects are deployed.

  • Using custom wsdl to esb routing service node

    Hi,
    I am working on a ESB flow, The entire flow works with ESB generated WSDLs. But, now, I want to use our own WSDL files, so I configured the starting Routing Service node to use existing WSDL.
    To do this, I made the following changes.
    Initially I was feeding XML file throug a File Reader node, and it was easy to test. Now, since I am working with our own WSDL, I removed File Reader node and created another Routing Service node with uses our custom WSDL file. I am now testing the flow by using OC4J web services feature. It provided me a web based form where in I can populate/feed values in. When I do this, I get an error like below:
    java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Software caused connection abort: connect
    Does anybody know how to fix this?
    Thanks,

    sorry your '"mysoapaction"' funda didnt work....
    can you tell me that what should be the value in p_url??
    http_req := utl_http.begin_request(p_url, 'POST', 'HTTP/1.1');
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Type', 'text/xml');
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'Content-Length', length(request_text));
    utl_http.set_header(http_req, 'SOAPAction', p_soap_action);
    utl_http.write_text(http_req, request_text);
    http_resp := utl_http.get_response(http_req);
    utl_http.get_header_by_name(http_resp,'Content-Length',l_head_out);
    l_cont_length := to_number(l_head_out);
    IF l_cont_length > 0
    THEN
    utl_http.read_text(http_resp, p_response);
    END IF;

  • END point URL for ESB Routing service says NOT FOUND

    Hi All,
    For the routing services in ESB, The link of WSDL is opening up fine, but the link of endpoint URI for the routing service is failing with the message below message. When i invoke the WSDL using SOAP UI, i get back the the same error message. I tried bouncing the server , but of no help. I also notice that slide directory ESB_Projects gives 404 error on any browser.
    So when i click below url for any of the routing service
    http://<hostname>:<port>/event/<systemName>/<serviceGroupName>/AddressStandardizeRS
    I get below error in browser-
    Not Found
    The requested URL /event/<System Name>/<Service Group Name>/<Routing Service Name> was not found on this server.
    Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.1.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at odevsoa.local1.wbcgp.com Port 7777

    Check if the port of ESB in your server is open.
    I think that the port is: 7777
    try from ESB server:
    wget WSDLURI
    if you got the file then the port is closed.

    It seems the esb routing service is trying to parse the Byte Order Mark as xml and therfore can not find the soap envelope tag? Any help is appreciated!

    Hi Andre,
    We got exactly the same error as you did. Your analysis is also correct; the first 3 bytes of the reply are not interpreted by BPEL/ESB as a BOM, but as 'real' characters.
    The problem is due to the fact that the UTF-8 BOM is actually optional in the specifications, and obligatory for UTF-16. The UTF-8 BOM practically has no meaning, and is never used in most SOA applications. However the guys that made the webservice you need to consume are (wrongly) convinced that the UTF-8 BOM is supposed to be there according to the OASIS/W3C specs. Which is not true btw...
    For more info on BOMs, check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte_Order_Mark
    Unfortunately I don't have the code for our 'proxy' service anymore. I remember that we simply made a little servlet, that uses input- and outputstreams. The inputstream then filters the BOM. Remember to also proxy the WSDL to 'rewrite' the endpoint ;-)

  • Problem with ESB routing service

    I have an ESB project that has a routing service to route a request message to 2 separate web services depending on some particular content in the message.
    simple classic content-based routing.
    i built a prototype on my local virtual machine, it worked fine.
    now i am building the real project at the client site, it is not working. here is some of the things i found;
    in my working prototype, after i deploy the ESB project into OC4J, i can see that a web service end point is created for me on esb-rt application in oc4j, with a port like "__soap_myrouting_execute_ppt", and it would be the entry point to my routing service;
    but in the other environment, after i deploy the ESB project, there is nothing created under esb-rt;
    in my working prototype, if i go into ESB console, under the "definition" tab of my routing service, i can click on the "concrete WSDL URL" and it gives me the wsdl for the routing service;
    but in the other environment, when i click on the "concrete WSDL URL", it shows an error page in my browser, "The XML page cannot be displayed ... XML document must have a top level element";
    i suppose this is because the esb-rt port has not been created properly and hence the wsdl is not there to be viewed.
    can anyone help with this or give me some direction as to where to look for logs for more details.
    thanks!

    after a bit of hunting on the BPEL server, i managed to get some detailed error from j2ee log;
    it's consistent with my observation and i know what's wrong with it, it's the <server name> pointing to a wrong place
    it should be pointing to our dev server but this logged detail shows it's pointing to out UAT server for some reason;
    I don't know how it ended up like this, but can someone tell me how to fix it? thanks.

  • No response port in routing service, when invoking Asynchronus BPEL process

    Hi All,
    I have a routing service and invoked an asynchronous BPEL process through SOAP invocation service. I have mentioned as Asynchronous process in the routing service. But I don't see any port for the response message.
    I need the response message from BPEL to do someother process in ESB.
    Regards
    Jude.

    Hi Jude,
    I don't think that's possible that way. Since BPEL can be used for long-running processes -possibly containing human workflow- the ESB flow would need to have a lifespan at least as long. You could achieve the same by having the BPEL process publish the outcome via JMS, and have another ESB flow subscribe to the JMS topic. Or invoke another ESB directly from the BPEL process.

  • Macbook causes Linksys wireless router to crash

    My daughters Macbook causes the Linksys wireless router to crash. I've already loaded the latest Linksys firmware but it did not help. It's the only computer that causes the router to crash. I have used several other non-Apple systems on the network without any problems.
    I think it's something that the Macbook is transmitting out but haven't pinpointed what it is and how to fix it.
    Any ideas on how to get her Macbook to work on our network wirelessly?

    Welcome to the discussions!
    What you are asking is if the Linksys can broadcast a wireless signal to the AirPort Extreme and then have the AirPort Extreme connect to the G4 using ethernet.
    The short answer is "no". For more details, please read on.
    This is not possible because the ethernet ports are not active on the AirPort Extreme in this type of configuration. The ethernet ports on the AirPort Extreme would only be active if the device were configured to "extend a wireless network".
    But, the AirPort Extreme can only "extend a wireless network" from another Apple device as it is not compatible with the products of other manufacturers for this purpose.

  • BizTalk 2013 - BAMAlerts service crash

    Hi,
    I am deploying BizTalk into a new clean Production environment. My topology is the following:
    - 2 SQL Server machines (clustered)
    - 2 BizTalk application servers (with BTS runtime)
    - 1 BAM server
    I have everything deployed and working well except for the BAMAlerts service crashing a minute after it starts on the BAM server.
    The software installed on the BAM server is:
    Windows 2008 R2 x64
    SQL Server 2012 SP1 x64 with the  following features:
    Reporting Services (Native)
    SQL Server Data Tools
    Client Tools Connectivity
    Integration Services
    Management Tools – Basic
    Management Tools – Complete
    SQL Server 2012 SP1 Cumulative Update 9
    BizTalk Server 2013 x64 with the following features:
    Portal Components
    Business Activity Monitoring
    Administrative Tools and Monitoring
    Additional Software
    Enterprise Single Sign-On Administration Module
    Enterprise Single Sign-On Master Secret Server
    BAM Alert Provider for SQL Notification Services
    BAM Client
    BAM-Eventing
    Office Excel 2013 (x86)
    Once the BizTalk binaries are installed I installed Windows Update suggested patches including  the update for BizTalk Server 2013 (KB2830546).
    I then went on and configured the relevant features. Configuration worked well but the BAMAlerts service crashes 1 minute after starting with the following error:
    Microsoft.BizTalk.Bam.Management.BamManagerException: Encountered error while executing command on SQL Server "". ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection
    to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
    I verified the following:
    A database mail profile was created on the SQL Server instance and it works (I can use it to send emails)
    Using the BAMAlerts service account I am able to connect to the SQL Server instance using Named Pipes or TCP/IP, call BizTalkMgmtDb.dbo.adm_Group_GetBAMServerAndDBName or query tables
    I installed SQL Server 2005 Notification Services x64 in order to see if it helps but no success.
    I installed BizTalk 2013 Cumulative Update 2 but it did no help either.
    The worse part is that I hit the same issue when setting up our UAT environment, tried a number of things and ended up with a setup that works but I am not able to reproduce that success in Prod...
    Following is the full error message:

    Things I have tried:
    Changing username format as detailed here:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/dpm/archive/2012/01/30/fix-the-dpm-console-crashes-and-logs-event-id-945-when-making-any-changes.aspx
    Reinstalling DPM 2012 SP1

    We eventually got this resolved through Microsoft support.
    The issue for us was entering the AD domain as the FQDN on install. Apparently DPM doesn't work if it is authenticating with FQDN\username.
    The fix is to change the following registry setting:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Setup\SchedulerJobOwnerName
    To domain\username rather than domain.local\user (or [email protected], which also doesn't work). Alternatively, when you install DPM just put the netbios AD domain name rather than the FQDN.
