Router settings for downloading Sky Boxsets

Hi, I am a Sky TV Customer on the Family Package, but my broadband is provided by Plus.net. When I first switched to Plus.net everything was working fine then I started t encounter problems downloading Sky Boxset, ONLY Sky Boxsets. I have spoke to a few people at Sky and they are very quick to blame Plus.net, but my broadband is working fine. The only thing I can think of is I have recently cahnged my router and I was wondering if there was a setting that might need to be altered. Any suggesstions?

Try resetting the connection, go to Settings > Network and press select and then the red button, sometimes it can take a few presses of the red button to get it to work.
If this hasn't worked remove the ethernet cable from the back of the box that goes to either your router or the wireless connector then plug it back in after 3 minutes.
Something else to try is to reboot your sky box at the mains, after powering it back up wait a further 5 minutes before using the box again.

Major problems downloading Sky Boxsets (Daily Planner Re-build)

For a couple of weeks now I have been having problems downloading Sky Box Sets. All my other recordings work fine, any of the on demand services (other than Sky) all work fine! I can get round this issue by doing a Planner Re-Build, followed by downloading a random episode from a box set, then download the show I want to watch! Plus I have to delete any of the failed recordings. I have spoke to three people in Skys Technical Support, who were no real help, other than blaming my internet connection. My broadband is with Plusnet. Cabled into the Sky box which is about two foot away from my router and the router is about a foot away from the master socket. My internet works fine with an average download speed to 9 -10 Mbps, yet Sky want to blame my internet connection. As I previously said this issue is only affecting Sky Boxsets. So any ideas would be great!

Thinkpad SystemUpdate - Language settings for downloaded utilites?

There seem to be slight troubles in the way how Lenovo's SystemUpdate keeps (or does not keep) track of regional, language-dependent settings.
Scenario: Installed a clean Windows (english, non-T61-specific) XP SP2 on a T61, copied and installed T61-specific network drivers and SystemUpdate and then started automatic SystemUpdate search and install.
Problem: SystemUpdate loads and installs mixed language tools and utilities (partly english and partly german) based on facts which I currently can not reproduce. E.g., installed version of ThinkVantage Productivity Center is the english one (as intended), Fingerprint reader utility and some others are all in german. Selected WinXP keyboard layout was german, country/locale set to Austria but I'd prefer to download and install plain english drivers and tools.
Any hint what factors influence on SystemUpdate's decision for a specific language and how I can configure the language for downloads? I do not remember of having seen any language selection option.

My main beef with Adobe being that the most likely area of interest after everything else in Premiere being "native" and fast is that you will have noise artefacts on your audio timeline which you may wish to fix quickly. Router settings for ITouch

I have been trying to connect my new ITouch with my home wireless, but am having numerous problems. It won't accept the password. I have read some of the discussions, but there are so many things listed there. Right now my router, a WRT54G, is set as WEP with a 64 bit code. From what I have read, I should change it to a 128 bit and generate a key code for that. If I do that, will I need to do something different for my laptops, which have been working fine with the wireless? I don't want to mess things up, as I am not use to dealing with router settings, etc.

If you change the WEP Encryption from 64-bit to 128-bit,generate the passphrase for you and use KEY 1 to reconnect the wireless network on your laptop.

Import settings do not apply to purchases. When you purchase a download, it comes in the format provided by the store.
Some common formats are AAC/256 (iTunes Store), MP3/256 (Amazon MP3), and MP3/320 (Google Play).

Sky router settings for N96 BBC iplayer

I wasn't able to use BBC iplayer with my home Sky wifi connection on my N96. I found out from the articles on this discussion board that I had to change the security to WEP, instead of WPA. To my suprise, I actually figured out how to do this and it now works brilliantly However, I am a little worried I have lowered the security. I would just like to check, am I still ok making online transactions with debit and credit cards with a WEP security?
I am also going to be changing to 02 home broadband soon. Has anyone experienced any difficulties in connecting their N96 to the 02 routers?

Settings for download of data to excel file.

I am trying to download the report from the classical drill down report to excel file. But it not coming in appropriate format. The whole data is coming in a single row. Is there any settings that i have to do in order to download the file in apporpriate format.
Earlier it was coming in proper format of rows and columns, but now the data is coming in only single row.
Please help or tell me is there any settings that i have to check.

Hello,
Please note that your GL short text is not expected to have a "," (COMMA) or unallowable symbol.
If that is there in any on of the GL Account description, from that row, the whole report will come into a single cell.
Therefore, please check the report, is there any unallowable symbols in the description and correct your master records of GL.
It will solve your issue.

Wireless router settings for apple tv

Matthew, so long as you translate your (non-square video) material to a square pixel ratio - say, 960x720 - the tv will pillarbox 4:3 content for a 16:9 display. You'll also be able to reallocate valuable bits because you won't have to encode the larger frame 1280x720 frame.
h.264 is progressive-scan only, so, yeah, all material must be deinterlaced during encoding.
As far as workflows, other than dropping the pillarboxing, I'm not sure there is much more that you can do - Frame Controls with Compressor to output an .mov (keeping your bitrate at 5MB/sec) is about all you can do for HD stuff. Even Compressor 3 Apple TV setting is surprisingly spartan.

I just installed Mountain Lion and I am trying to get my trading platform, Etrade Pro, to load through Etrade. The system requirements for Macs are:

No, a JNLP file is not a Windows file; it's a Java file. Select the file in the Finder and open the Info window. From the Open with menu, select Java Web Start. Click Change All and confirm. Test.
Paralells is a low-level system modification, and it or some other third-party software could be interfering with Java. If you still have problems, continue.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Router settings for PCanywhere

I just installed the new dual band router at home in a mixed Mac/PC environment. My remaining PC uses PCAnywhere which allows me to access that computer from work. I cannot seem to find the correct setting to allow me to get through the router. I have set up the port forwarding, but I still must be missing something. Anyone have any ideas?

Bought a movie, went to remove captions, now tells me to find settings then downloads, can't find downloads but found 'check for rentals' which is doing nothing

Can anyone tell me where to find 'downloads' under settings for Apple TV. I bought a movie, left it so as to go remove captions, can't put it back on, I try to purchase it again, it says it's already bought and to go to settings and downloads to find it, I can find settings but not downloads

Welcome to the Apple community Eddy.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button
