According to those stats, you are getting 20Mbps downstream and about 3.7 upstream.
What speeds are you getting and how are you measuring them?
Try performing a speedtest using www.speedtest.net with a wired connection to the Sky Hub and see what it says.

The ARP request has nothing to do with the 10.10.10.0/24 IP range but rather, the layer 2 VLAN associated with the inside interface behind the device. By adding the route statement pointing to the inside interface, the ASA will broadcast an ARP request to all the hosts within the VLAN.

-A request is made for 10.10.20.20, the ASA will generate something similar to the following:

I am confused about ip route statements in the following Cisco document.

ip route 172.22.0.0 255.255.0.0 172.22.80.0
ip route 172.22.80.0 255.255.255.0 Dialer1
Why does it use network address as next hop address on the first line?
And it is a source network address on the second line.
Please suggest me.

NitassWhen you specify a network address as next hop in a ip route statement, the router does recursive lookup. When it matches a packet for a network other than 172.22.80.0, it will match the router 172.22.0.0 and the route basically says use 172.22.80.0 as the next hop. Now the router looks up the routing table for how to reach 172.22.80.0 and ends up routing via Dialer 1.

Exactly how do I post router stats
Please be patient with this total "numpty", but exactly how does one cut and paste router stats. I get error message to the effect that "invalid HTML content has been removed...etc" Sorry if this request is in wrong place, but I've done a search and can't find anything. Thanks.

Acceptable ranges for router stats
There are many queries posted here about line speed which result in repliers asking the questioner to post their router stats.
Two of the main figures that always seem to be mentioned are the Line Attenuation and Noise Margin.
Is there anywhere that gives an acceptable range for these figures and a simple explanation of what affects them?
Same for any other useful stat figures e.g. values given by BT speedtester.

Broadband speed & router stats
I'm hoping someone will be able to comment on the download speeds I'm getting for my broadband (BT opt 1).
According to the BT checker, I should be able to get up to 6Mb, and I'm fairly close to the exchange (700m). My router stats look like this:

After a lot of tidying up of the internal phone wiring these are now fairly consistent whether I'm plugged in to the master socket or one of the extensions. These were taken from the router fairly soon after rebooting it earlier.
My question is whether the 2Mb downstream I'm getting seems reasonable, or could I be expecting more than that? And is it possible that the 2Mb is being imposed as a limit, rather than being the maximum speed?
Any thoughts and comments gratefully received.If you are that close to the exchange, there must be something wrong with your line, it takes a circuitous route to get to you, or you are on a 2Mbit package still. I am approximately 3/4km (750m) from my exchange, and get the following:
Speed: 8126 down, 440 up
Att: 18.5 down, 8.5 up
SNR: 19.5 down, 32.5 up
Although, the 7db up attenuation you are getting suggests that is the limit that your line can support, rather than you being on a 2Mbit capped connection. -

The important speeds are not the sync speeds which always show higher than reality (maybe that's why they show them in the hub) the important one is the IP profile which is the max that your connection will handle and can only be found at http://speedtester.bt.com
BW 10 days is a myth to keep you out of the helpdesk's hair. It all happens in the first two or three days once connected.

IP SLA Default Route state down to much

I am attempting to use IP SLA trackers to dynamically set the default route going out over a DSL connection. if the sla trackers are down the default route learned from the WAN will take over, but normally we want to send internet/default route bound traffic out over the DSL connection.

the issue we are having is if the SLA threshold is breached, it immediately sends the trackers into a delay down state. the tracker delays down for 60 seconds, then very quickly comes back up. What we want to accomplish is only if the sla tracker has breached the threshold or is down for 60 seconds, then put the tracker into a down state.
Thanks.The configuration seems to be correct: IP SLA change as soon as the icmp fail but the tracker delay should ensure the it changes its state after 60seconds of icmp failure. Do you experience a different behaviour ?
What I'm worried about is that, after the default router through the WAN is in routing table, the ip sla ping will be successful and therefore the static route
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 71.32.39.46 track 3
will be used but, at that point, which is the path to 71.32.39.46 ?
Another thing is that, in case of DSL link failure, this configuration will not automatically revert to WAN link because 71.32.39.46 will be still up and running, isn't it ?

My Router Stats Show My Wife's Computer As Mine!?
I have a G3 iMac connected by ethernet cable to my router and an Intel iMac connected wirelessly.
My router has always shown them both as "ian-browns-imac", which was perfectly correct.
However, I have just completely erased the G3 and installed the OS afresh using just my wife's details.
To my surprise, instead of seeing "jacqui-browns-imac", it still appears as "ian-browns-imac".
Can anyone explain this weird state of affairs?What do you mean by that?
As mentioned I have switched off and restarted the router.
Incidentally this is how I have my sharing windows configured for both iMacs. -

In the advanced stats are two connection times.
1. Internet connection time and ADSL connection time.
I was under the impression ADSL time is the time the hub has been on since the last reset... either by BT or by me pulling the plug. That was showing 6 days... I suspect my problems started when the HH was remotely reset. Am I correct in what this time measures ?
2. I see there is also an "Internet connection" time... what's that ?
It shows 1 day 14 hours. What is this figure measuring and what is it's significance ?

Recent bRAS Profile Change - Router Stats
Hai!
Recently, my IP profile has been dropping consistently. I was on 3000 bRAS profile not too long ago (I think I had 5000+ sync in the test socket once).
Since this Edinburgh outage, my profile has been dropping every few days with no disconnections. I decided to put the hub in my test socket last night and let the hub settle overnight before I posted the results here. My sync has gone up, but I don't understand the noise margin etc... Can any techie types give me any clues as to what may be wrong with my connection? Are these current stats OK in the test socket, which would point towards my internal wiring being at fault? Are these current stats showing a problem with my connection in the test socket, which would point towards an external fault?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Now if I'd have posted that Q in December of last year then yes I wouldn't of had a clue. It's only through ye olde BT Beta Forums that my knowledge on certain subjects has grown to the level it is today. I've also learnt a stack of stuff from these 'thriving' forums (mainly unsolicited attempts!!!!!) and I've done my best to award a rating and to thank the poster for the reply. (If I've not then soz!).
Now to answer your Q:
I, by no means call myself an [Aspiring] Expert, many other members know a lot more than me. Some have made the odd post and IMHO deserve to be moved up the rankings and others have made many (they too deserve recognition). I'd sooner those with greater knowledge try and resolve other members issues. Finally Roger did get me thinking if I'd missed something and I thank him for replying. As the BTHH is pretty well locked down I replied referring to BT as that's all that one could do if all checks are carried out in the home by the user. The bit about me being confused with another customer is true (BT staff believe it or believe it not, are like us - only human and mistakes do happen) and it was in the hope that BT would double check that my hub is set back to auto. Many gamers ask for fast. I don't use my 360 online so I'm not overly fussed (yet).
Expertise wise: I've been known to open the odd hub or 2 and report on my findings (old forum - now history). Internal images are available on request. Wireless via the HH - I've learnt a lot from General Disquiet and again while I'm at it I'll thank him too. Privacy and tracking - thanks Dorset Vinney where ever you are now. Info on the BTHH's and interference on the phone - thanks Jarviser. You might see a pattern here with user ID's.
I'd also like to thank everyone else (too many to name) for helping me out along the way. You know who you are.
I'm yet to tinker with the Vbox but looking on the WWW it looks like it probably isn't worth the hassle.

After getting hold of BT on 150 my broadband has improved from 0.50mbps to 2.50-3.00mbps.

xxx.xx.xx.xxIf anything would contain the line stats I'm assuming it would be the Openreach modem (which we have no access to as an end user). When Infinity was installed on my line at home the Openreach engineer went to speedtest.net once he had connected everything up to the line. Apart from running one of the online speed tests I don't think there will be any other way of knowing your stats (unless Openreach decide to allow access to their modem at some point in the future).

Unlocked HG612 router stats monitor
I've just come across an excellent app for monitoring the HG612 modem. It displays graphs of attenuation, SNR, bit loading, errors etc, like the well-known Routerstats programme. Note it only works on an unlocked modem.
It's called rs-ux and is available for Windows and Linux http://sourceforge.net/projects/rsux/

Dot Net needs to be installed to make use of the settings editor program, but a text based configuration file can be easily edited with Notepad for users who don't wish to install .Net (XP users mainly as Vista upward comes with .Net pre-installed anyway).
Full instructions are included in the zip file which should be unzipped to C:\ ensuring expand folders or equivalent option is switched on.
That will create the default folders structure & populate them with the relevant programs etc.
Once unzipped, navigate to the Scripts folder & view the instructions then fine tune everything via "HG612 Settings Editor.exe" or manually edit "HG612_stats.ini" to get started.
Attenuation per band is displayed in the "Ongoing" graphs.
