Routing in Stock Transfer Order

Hi,
We are having SAP 4.7 & we have activated Transportation Routing process.
Routing is copied in Sales order & Delivery. But the same is not copied in the stock transfer Order. We are doing following steps.
We are using Stock Transfer order to transfer the material from One storage location to another storage location. Supplying Plant & Receiving Plant are same in Stock transfer Order. We are entering Receiving STorage location & Shipping point in the STO.
Is this b'coz of Supplying plant & receing plant are same in the STO ? Or i need to active something els for this.
Kindly revert back.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
this is one of the problems caused by an organisation structure that is not quite matching the "real world".
In SAP each Plant should have a unique address and the storage locations are thought of as areas within that address.
If you have two sites that have different addresses, they should <u>ideally</u> be separate plants. You can then use all of the available functionality within SAP that you would expect.
If you want to set up a route that goes from one address to another than this is possible, but in your case you are actually saying that you want a route for s delivery from and too the same address, not really a real world scenario.
So if you really want to do this then each site should be a plant. I expect that it is too late to change your design but it is important for others reading this to understand the problems that are caused when Storage locations are used instead of Plants for physically separate addresses.
Sorry if this is not much help to you but it should help you to understand why you are having a problem.

  • Route in stock transfer order

    Hi
I just want to check whether if route is not mentioned in the sto can we process the sto till goods receipt.
movement type for goods issyue is 641.
In delivery document flow I see following  for the sto which have route.
    Delivery
    WMS TO
    TF to stock in transit.
    Regards,
    Kiran

And what do you see in the document  flow for the STO that does not have a route?
do you want to receive before the supplying plant has done the goods issue?
I think it is possible to receive, but does not really make much sense, as it will leave a negative figure in in-transit report MB5T.

  • Stock Transfer Order and Routes

    Hi,
I would like have a good Delivery date in the Stock Transfer Order base on the Routes, actually the system takes the longer lead time between route and planned delivery date.
If I do a stock transport order, I assume that the supplying plant has stock, so why the system consider the planned delivery time in Materiel Master.
I juste want the system add the transit time base on the route in the delivery date.
    Thanks to help me.

  • Delivery Date Re-Calculation in Stock Transfer Order PO

    Hi All,
We have Transportation scheduling activated and maintain 'Transit Duration Times' in our Routes (Populated 'TransitDur' field in Route <0VTC>) R/3 46c
When we create a stock transfer order the 'Delivery Date' in the STO PO is determined by the 'TransitDur' (Transit Duration) value maintained in the route between the 'Supplying and 'Receiving' plants.
After creating the STO PO, if the delivery is delayed and we need to reflect this change in the STO, when we attempt to change the delivery date - the system re-calculates the delivery date using the date on which the changes are made as the starting point and extending out the full length of time based on the value in the 'TransitDur' field in the Route.
This means we are not able to change the delivery date in the STO PO to a date that is later than the original delivery date but still earlier than the date re-calculated by the system using the date on which the changes are made as the starting point.
Is anyone aware of any functionality/config which allows you to manually change the delivery date in the STO PO - but not be restricted to changing the date by the value in the 'TransitDur' field of the Route, when it is a subsequent change to the PO and greater than the original date determined by the system?
    Thanks,
    Ravelle

Hi Read this fully and configure accordinngly
Configure Inter company Stock Transport Order
Material should exist in both the plants (Delivering & Ordering),
Internal customer should be assigned to the ordering plant ( MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup stock transport order -> assign the internal customer to the ordering plant and assign the Sales area of the internal customer.
Assign its Sales area to the delivering plant
Assign the document type and Delivery type NB and NLCC
Assign the Supplying plant --> Receiving Plant --> NB
Take the delivering plant and assign the sales area.
Vendor master has to be created and assign the supply source (Delivering Plant).

PI02 Inter company: percentage of the net invoice amount
These condition types specify that the price charged by the delivering plant to the sales organization is shown as a statistical value in the sales order and an effective charge in the internal invoice.

  • Stock transfer orders

    Hi Experts,
Can i know what is stock tranfer order?
how to create stock transfer oreders.

    Dear Raghavendra,
Whenever you need to transfer the materials from one plant to another plant belonging to one company or belonging to two company code stock transfer order is raised by the delivering company.
    STO:
Transfer of goods from one location to another location,it may be between plants within the same company code or in different company code's plants.
within the company code, bet plants, receiving plant will raise the STO in Supplying/issuing plant-ME21n,
Supplying plant will deliver the goods to receiving plants , then we need to pick n post the Goods Issue-VL02n, nw when we can observe that the STO qty will be added into receiving plant and reduced in Delievering plant.
To do this, we need do prior customizatin in SPRO-IMG,-material should be created in both plants( receiving & Supplying)
-maintaing the stock only in supplying plant
-create a dummy customer in supplying plant's sales area(if u have one sales area, create in tat comp code n sales area)
-Assign this customer number to receiving plant's details along with the sales area,
-Assign the STO doc type(UB) to Supplying plant, along with checking rule
-Assign the Del type (NL/NLCC) to Supplying n receiving plant.
You create a STO from MM route i.e., ME21N and then enter the details of the supplying, receiving plant and the materials.Once you complete the STO,then it goes for a delivery followed by an intercompany invoice.
Remember that the Material should be there in BOTH supplying and receving plant.
Internal Procurement (Stock Transfer With Delivery):
In a company, goods movements do not only occur in the form of goods receipts and goods issues. Depending on the organization of the company (for example, decentralized storage) and its sales policy, internal stock transfers might also be necessary.
The stock transfer with delivery is a plant to plant scenario. You are posting a goods issue in plant BP02 and a goods receipt in plant BP01.
This type of stock transfer can only be carried out from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing plant to unrestricted-use stock of the receiving plant.
You post the placement into storage at the receiving plant in a second step. Only then is the event completed and the transferred quantity part of unrestricted-use stock.
    Functions:
    Creating a Planned Independent Requirement
Creating a stock transport order in plant BP01
Generating a delivery in plant BP02
Picking of the material and posting the goods issue in the delivering plant
Posting the goods receipt in the receiving plant
Note: The quantity posted from stock is first of all managed as stock in transit of the receiving plant. Only once the goods receipt has been posted is the quantity posted to the unrestricted-use stock of the receiving plant. This enables the quantity "on the road" to be monitored.
The transfer posting is valuated at the valuation price of the material in the issuing plant.
Delivery costs can be entered in the stock transport order.
Internal Procurement (Stock Transfer without Delivery):
The cross-plant, internal procurement of materials can be carried out within one company code (intercompany) or by using several company codes (cross company). This process can be dealt with using standard functions such as material requirements planning, purchase requisition, stock transport order, transportation planning and the handling of internal deliveries.
The following functions are provided to support the Internal Stock Transfer without Delivery:
    Create Stock Transport Order
Post goods issue for stock transport order
Post goods receipt for stock transport order
Note: Quantity "on the road" can be monitored
Delivery costs can be entered in the stock transport order
    Internal Procurement (Cross-Company Stock Transfer):
You post a stock transfer from company code to company code the same way as you post a stock transfer from plant to plant, except that both plants belong to different company codes.
During the stock transfer, two accounting documents are created in addition to the material document:
-An accounting document for the removal from storage at the issuing company code
-An accounting document for the placement into storage at the receiving company code
The stock posting is offset against a company code clearing account.
To display the value of the cross-company-code stock in transit with a report, choose Environment à Stock à Stock in transit Cc.
The following functions are provided to support the cross company stock transfer:
    Create sales order to customer
    Run single-level MRP
    Creating a purchase order
    Creating delivery
    Picking and post goods issue
    Posting goods receipt
    Create inter-company billing document
    Invoice receipt
Create delivery, picking and post goods issue to customer
    Billing
Notes: The issuing plant enters a delivery for the stock transport order and a billing document. This is an inter-company billing document (billing type YBIV). Pricing takes place as normal.
When the goods arrive, the receiving plant posts a goods receipt for the purchase order. The unrestricted-use stock increases and an accounting document is created.
The invoice is checked with reference to the purchase order.
Stock transport order processing in receiving plant
Delivery processing in supplying plant Picking batch determination in delivery Goods issue processing in the supplying plant Billing processing in supplying plant
Goods receipt processing in receiving plant Invoice verification processing in receiving plant Purchase order monitor processing in receiving plant

  • Urgent Condition Tab Missing In  Stock Transfer Order

    Hi All ,
When I a m creating Stock Transfer Order from One Plant In one Company Code to  Another Plant in another Company code the Invoice and Conditions Tab Is Missing .
How to get the Conditions tab, Do I have to do any Customization ?
Please suggest me of how to go about .....
    Regards ,
    Sriram.

    Hi Srirama,
Yes, if you have only one Calculation schema then there is no meaning in assigning to different Porgs.
In that case please proceed with the following configuration.
This is done in customizing; IMG for MM > Purchasing>Conditions>Define Price Determination Process>Define Schema Determination>Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders
For the combination of the Schema POrg; doc.type( UB ) and Supplying plant
you must specify the price schema to be used.
Hope this will solve your problem.

  • Delivery Split in Stock transfer Order

    Hello gurus,
In Stock transfer order process, Delivery has been split. In purchase order we have two materials, while creating delivery in VL10B System is splitting the deliveries and creating two delivery no. instead of one delivery. I checked everything but i could not reach out the solution. can you tell me what could be reason for this delivery split in Stock Transfer Order Process.
    Regards
    Soumendu

SAP have provided a report ZLE_ANALYZE_DELIVERY_SPLIT in note 355404.
This report tells you exactly what is causing the split by highlighting the cause in red. It does not make any change to the database on your system (i.e. no changes are made on your system). I would recommend you implement this report.
Often, I have seen the delivery time being the cause of a delivery split. So check the values of LIKP-LFUHR for each delivery. But the above report would tell you exactly.

  • Open Qty is not copied in Delivery for Stock Transfer Order

    Hi,
In the Stock Transfer Order process, Once the STO Order is created, I am creating delivery in the transaction VL10B or VL10G.
When I am clicking the background button Delivery gets generated. Then when i am going in the transaction VL02N and increasing the delivery Quantity which is more than STO order quantity, the system is accepting it. But i want the system to throw an error message if the delivery quantity is more than the order qauntity. For this I have made the following settings.
In the Transaction Code 0VLP, i have selected B in Check Over Delivery field. But still it is not throwing an error.
The reason for the same may be, the system is not copying the Open Delivery Qty from the STO Order (Which normally happens in Sale Order to Delivery process, bcos of Copy Control). This field has 0 value. So the system is not able check for over delivery.
If I get this value in the delivery then it should be working fine and the sytem will throw an error for over delivery.
Can you please suggest me a way to get this open qty value in delivery for STO order or suggest me some other option to check for over delivery in STO.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Dear Friend,
If I can understand you clearly.
to achieve your task the best way you can sit with your abaper and configure a routine and assign the same to T-code OVLK delivery type customizing :

This explanation is not in detail and hence I am not clear about your configuration settings.
First go to IMG Logistics-General => Tax on Goods Movements => India => Business Transactions => Outgoing Excise Invoices => Assign Billing Types to Delivery Types.
There ensure that you have assigned the billing type JEX (assuming that you are using the standard) to your delivery type NL.
Perhaps, you can also try with "D" for your item category in Billing Relevance field but I am not sure this will solve your issue.  Try in development client.
    thanks
