Routing is not pickup during cost estimate

Hi,
We have created BOM & Routing,
Issues During SCE System will not taking  Routing,
Parameter taken in  consideration
Configuration & Master data maintenance
1) In Material master Base UOM maintained  is  EA alternate UOM MLD
2) Activity rate we have maintained : KG / KW / HR
2) Routing requirement is MLD.
In Routing IF i Maintained EA UOM, System will take Routing for SC,
Client requirement :Mafg production in MLD and EA, Activity should  be MLD Base
Is their any config missing for UOM
Could u tel me.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
VINU

Dear Vinutha,
If my understanding is correct then you have to first define all the alternative unit of measurement(like issuing unit, production
unit, ordering unit, purchasing unit) in the respective material's additonal data in the material master.( 100 Ea = 100 MLD - For
example).
While defining routing,in the routing header for the material mention the unit(MLD) in which you will be defining the
operation,operation timings.
Check with settings whether the system is picking the routing during SCE in CK11N/CK40N.If my understanding is correct then
there is no configuration settings related to the same.
Check and revert back.

  • Target sost calculation not considered Current cost estimate in KKBC_ORD

    Hi All,
We have an case wherein it observed that target cost calculation on SFG is wrong
in KKBC_ORD where system does not considered the current cost estimate.
We have all the necessayry customisation in place for Target cost version 0 for current cost estimate.
    Below is detailsed case.
1 Process Order created in Dec 2011
2 Price Released to Mat master  on 01.01.2012
3 Goods movement,Operation confirmad Material Issues, FG qty delivered @ std cost 0n 04.01.2012
    4 Order Technically completed (TECO)
5 KKS1/KKS2 will be done at month end.
We know that In Process order, after deliver of FG the target cost on FG is not getting calculated, target cost will be updated only after calculating variance. it does
not calculate after delivery of finished goods, On Execution of KKS1/KKS2  variance will be calculated the target cost on FG and will be updated.
In process  order (COR3 --> Cost analysis) Target cost ,Actual cost and Planned cost are calculated based on the following:
Total Plan Cost = Std Cost the material required to Produce X Planned Qty of the required material
Target Cost = Std Cost the material planned to Produce X Std Qty of material required to produce, for Produced Actual Qty
Actual Cost = Std Cost the material planned to Produce X Actual Qty of material consumed, for Produced Actual Qty
The variance is calculated on SFG and assemblies based on the difference between actual and target cost in KKBC_ORD. During creation of process order, the plan cost
will be updated with the valid standard cost upon the creation.
The target cost on SFG and Assemblies is only generated when there is good receipt from production order into inventory.
The target cost is generated using the valid / recent costing run for the correspondence SFG in KKBc_ORD.
All other target costs showed in COR3 (Menu Go to > Costs > Analysis) or KKBC_ORD before doing KKS1/2 is only statistical- However in our case Traget cost calculated
on SFG in KKBC_ORD not relevant with current cost estimate.
However Actual cost and Planned cost Calculated correctly.
Actual Cost= Current Standard costof the materilal(5.624,88)X Actual Qty (13.693)=77.021,48
Planned cost= Std Cost the material required to Produce (6.572,12) X Planned Qty (12.415)= 81.592,87
However Target cost is not considering the current cost estimate; It should be - Current Standard cost of the materilal(5.624,88)X Target Qty(13.958,124)=78512.07.
But Errorneously Target cost is showing 67.383,59 which causing unfavorable variance to standard.
It should be 78512.07-77.021,48= 1490.59 favourable var to standard in KKBC_ORD.
Any help, suggestion and input would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks with Regards
    Subrata

    hi
target cost is your standard cost* actual confirmed quantity, not the standard quantity required
the variance calculated will be always  the actual debit to the production order- actual credit of the production order
your actual credit  for the process order is  std cost* actual quantity delivered to the inventory= Current Standard costof the materilal(5.624,88)X Actual Qty (13.693)=77.021,48
actual debit to the process order is total actual cost which you can see in COR3 report .
By the way for which period you have calculated variance, target cost will be calculated based on that months standard cost

  • Consumption account - during cost estimate

    Hello All
While doing the cost estimate for material I am getting the error message 'Consumption account not part of GBB / ZAU"
I thought it should be from VBR normally.
ZAU does not seems to be standard to me. Please let me know where can I check this.
    Best Regards

    HI Vijay
ZAU is not standard.. Only ZOB and ZOF are standard in Z...
May be in OMJJ some where you have assigned ZAU against some consumption movement types.. especially 261 or any other

  • WRT300N Router will not configure during setup

I have a WRT300N Router Version 1.1, when reinstalling this on my computer after a crash I cannot get the setup to complete.  When the setup goes throught the config stage it gets to 99% and then stops and gives me an error message that it would not configure.
I have updated the firmware and this still will not get it to work.  What can I do?

After a firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch.  If you have not done this since your last firmware upgrade, please do this now and see if it corrects your problem.  If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.
To reset the router press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Wrong cost estimate due to info record SA reference field.

    Hi
I have an issue during cost estimate.
When we create scheduling agreement for a Material/Vendor/Plant combination.
The info record in Purchase organisation - reference field updates with latest SA number.
Here. I had created the second Scheduling agreement and later i decide to delete the latest SA and use the previous one. But inforecord does not update with previous SA number.
As per configuration, the reference field is taken for cost estimate and it takes the latest SA number, which is wrong.
Can anyone guide me how to get the live SA number in the reference field in Info record?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sasi

    Hi
The idea of SAP in case of retreiving information in case of PO/SA, is the last document number that is stored in the info record. Since you have just created the SA agreement, whose information is not stored in info record, you can simply update info record (select info update indcator) which is available in ME31L somewhere in Menu bar options (Sorry I dont know precisely). This could solve your problem I hope.

  • Sales order cost estimate with GIT account

    Hi,
Business introduced Goods - in - Transit (Balance sheet account), so PGI will always post to GIT and Invoice it will get reversed.
For one of the Configuratble material (MTO) scenario we need the Sales order cost estimate to get the Planned cost.
When i try to execute the sales order cost estimate it says cost element doesnot exist for GIT GL (WHich is right).
But with maintaining the GIT how to achieve the sales order cost estimate.
I tried to create CE category 90 for GIT, in Cost estimate am getting error CE 90 not supported for Cost estimate.
Kindly help this is kind of urgent req for us
    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Hello Ashley
Yes, if you have done your settings correctly, especially Requirements class set up  (see the documentation link),  then the cost estimate will flow to a condition type in Pricing, usually EK01/EK02 conditions. These conditions are used to calculate sales prices (PR00) in cost-plus (mark-up) scenarios.
    Link: http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/90/ba6da4446711d189420000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
However Profit margin  as calculated in a sales order comes from VPRS condition  (which is based in Material Master) and is the difference of net value and VPRS condition value in normal circumstance.
Hope other more knowledgeable experts will weigh in.

  • Confuguarable Material Cost Estimate

    Hi All.,
    It is an urgent requirement.......
My client having both configuarable & non configuarable materials.....
with regarding to the configuarable material cost estimate i don't have good grip on this.
Can anybody please share some guidlines for how to create the cost estimate.....
    Thanks one and all.,
    Raja

Configurable materials can only have a cost estimate when there is a sales order bom to define the build.
We use configurable material and the cost estimate is configured in the same manner as standard material (Costing variant, costing dates, transfer control, etc. but some of the details differ), but it is only Saved within a Sales order. You can use CU50 for a trial cost - the configuration will have to be created in CU50 before it will cost.
When costing configurable materials in sales orders or for sales orders the valuation variant is different from standard cost variant in these points:
1 - The costing type is different. 18 - Sales order costing vs. 01 - Standard cost est. (mat.)
The Costing type for Sales order does not allow updating of the standard price in the Mat Mstr
The Costing type for Sales order also controls the use of Labor overhead for the costing variant.
2 - Valuation Variant can be different - Valuation for Prod Costing specifies the rules to build a cost estimate. For Sales order, you may want it to use ONLY the standard price for a material/component, and NOT build a cost estimate.
3 - Date control - The default “from” date for the Config Mat in a Sales order is “Today” while for product costing it is “first of next month”
Our Prod Cost Est. is valid until the end of the Fiscal year when a new cost estimate is released. Our Config Material on a Sales order is valid until the end of time.
I cannot explain “why” we chose one over the other, most of the decisions were made before I arrived. But the Costing Type Difference is very important to us, because there is no chance that the cost estimate will interfere with setting of standards and it allows “searching” for a Sales Order Cost estimate.
You have to analyze how each part of the costing variant could impact the business and decide how to set it. If circumstances change, you can review the settings later. (I fully intend to review some of ours directly after this conversation.)
Sales Order Costing Variants are on OKY9 while product costing is at OKKN
Sales Order Costing Variants are assigned under SD “Maintain Requirements Classes for Costing/Account Assignment (table T459K)
    Hope this helps.

  • Material cost estimate can't be released

    Hello Experts
I've already handled with necessary steps including CK11N (create cost estimate), CK24(Mark and release), but it failed to be released although the cost estimate has been updated into 'Future' sheet in material master. It seems like the issue resulted during cost estimate creation, there is message existing in log. the message is described as 'No structure could be determined for internal activity ATL-00(CC530-00)'.
Could anyone please kindly advise me which customizing is needed to be done to solve this issue?

  • How SAP use transfer control or material cost estimate

    Hello!
I have strategy "3-Previous standard cost estimate" in transfer control material cost estimate.
I have cost estimate for product AAA with status KA and costing date from 01.01.2014.
Product AAA produced from component BBB.
Component BBB has two cost estimates with costing date from 01.01.2014 and 01.02.2014.
I run cost estimate for product AAA with costing date from 06.03.2014.
Cost estimate not use existing cost estimate for component and create new cost estimate.
In help.sap.com contains next information about transfer strategy 3 - The system searches for existing previous cost estimate.
why my system does not use the existing cost estimate for component?
    Thanks for attention.

    Thanks, Szymon!
I use russian interface and read russian help. Where stragegy 3 has name "Прошедшая плановая калькуляция" which means "The last planned cost estimate".
    This led me astray.
In english help i read next:
    Previous standard cost estimates
The system searches for an existing previous standard cost estimate.
    You are completely right!
    two more questions:
    - We can not use strategy 3 if we not realesed cost estimate as standard price?
    - What strategy we should use for transfer material cost estimate with status KA?

can any one help me to how we can resolve this issue
    Please find attached document

    Hi,
Here I am providing the necessity and importance of splitting structure, will share the configuration steps once you go through the following and get the comfort level.
Expense Analysis and Splitting in Manufacturing Cost Centers
Introduction In SAP Cost center work as a cost responsibility center, where all the expenses and cost are stored and analyzed for the purpose of management decision making.
The cost could be fixed or variable in nature. The difference between variable and fixed costs can be made in various ways in product costing in CO module.
Fixed costs represent the static costs incurred by the organization, which doesn’t change on the basis on manufacturing activities, which remain constant irrespective of production activities like rent for the premises, salaries of office staff etc.
On the other hand, variable cost varies based on the level of production activities; if production activities increase then variable cost also increased like electricity consumes raw material charges etc.
However all the variable cost doesn’t vary in direct proportion by quantity of goods produced.
In this document will try to define; how the Expenses analysis and splitting of cost done in manufacturing cost centers.
From controlling prospective, fixed cost remain constant regardless of operating activities, but if these factor changes, variable cost will fluctuate.
Basically raw material costs represent variable cost, but in this document main focused will be given to distinguish fixed and variable activity cost.
The segregation between fixed and variable cost is optional and is derived from the configuration and master data configured in cost center accounting and overhead accounting.
    Activity Price:
There are different methods that could be used in cost center accounting to determine the activity price. The simple way is the manually enter “Fixed” and “Variable” Activity cost (KP26).
However there are other methods used in Cost center Planning and Budgeting that automatically calculate the fixed and variable activity price.
Here the focused will be given on Planning and Budgeting activity and automatic calculation of plan activity rate in cost center.
This method aggregate planned costs by cost element and capacity by plan unit to calculate the activity price.
Activity independent costs are segregated among different activities based on Splitting Structure, while activity dependent cost directly used for the purpose of variable activity rate calculation.
    Fixed Activity Cost:
In product costing all those cost, which doesn’t vary based on the activities in manufacturing cost will represent fixed cost.
In a manufacturing cost centers there may be two or more activities performed.
To calculate the activities rate, the fixed costs are distributed to various activities on the basis of Splitting Structure defined for cost center.
    Variable Activity Cost:
Variable activity cost, which directly depend upon the activity type and fluctuate based on increase or decrease in manufacturing activities. In SAP variable activity cost are directly linked to the respective activity.
Activity Prices: Fixed and Variable Split
In Cost Center Accounting dividing the cost between Fixed and Variable requires appropriate split to be made in the cost entered for the activity. The process is described below:
    i.  Variable cost would be planned at activity level and expenses should be maintained at cost element in the manufacturing cost center by assigning activity and cost element combination.
In other word, the expenses should be planned on Activity type at the time of primary cost planning (KP06).
Then the variable activity rates are calculated on Total cost planned at Activity divided by Total number of activity planned at that cost center (i.e. capacity in KP26)
ii. Fixed cost would be planned at independent of activity type. These costs are maintained in KP06 at cost element level on manufacturing cost center.
Then the fixed costs are distributed on various activity types on the basis of Splitting structure defined at OKEW.
In Splitting Structure we define the rules, how the fixed cost will be distributed to Activities. For the purpose of this document, considering split of fixed cost on the basis of Capacity maintained in KP26.

  • Error during Material Cost Estimate (CK11N)

    hi friends,
I am getting am error during the material cost estimate run.(ck11n)
"No control record for the activity type"
please let me know what is the problem.

    Ramesh,
System is not able to determine activity type price.
You need to input activity price in transaction KP26 for Version 0/Period/Cost Center/Activity Type combination.

  • Selection of BOM and Routing in Cost estimate

    Hi
I have an issue with the cost estimate run. We are using CK40n for cost estimate.
The selection method in MRP 4 is defined as 3 (only by prod version) and the version indicator is maintained in the costing views also.
When we run the cost estimate the system is chosing a different BOM and routing other than the ones defined in the prod version.
Following are the details of the prod version defined.
    0010 Prod version
    Lot 0 to 99999
    BOM Alt 1 usage 1
    Routing Grp 1234 counter 1
    0020 Prod version has
    Lot 0 to 99999
    BOM Alt 2 usage 1
    Routing Grp 1234 counter 2
    0030 Prod version has
    Lot 0 to 99999
    BOM Alt 3 usage 1
    Routing Grp 1234 counter 3
Ideally system should choose the first prod version.(alt 1 and usage 1 and Routing 1234 grp coutner1). This is not happening.
System for some reason is choosing the BOM with Alt 1 and usage 1 defined in 0010 prod version but the routing from a different prod version 0020 grp 1234 counter 2.
I have checked with all the relevant settings but i am not able to understand why this is happening.
This is not the same when i create a prod order. System chooses the first prod version when i create the order.
I have checked the priorities defined in the customising, and also the details in the costing varaint using CKC1.
What settings do i need to check to ensure that it works fine? Can you please let me know.

    Vithal,
While doing the costing run, SAP checks if you have maintained the "Production version to be costed" [MARC-FVIDK] field in Costing View. It will use this Prodn Version for cost estimate.
If you have not maintained the prodn version field, then it will use the values maintained in the "Quantity structure data" section on costing view. i.e. it will use the BOM alternative..and recipe information from here.
If you have not maintained above values then system picks up the first BOM alternative (MAST table) and first recipe information (MAPL table) it finds for the material-plant combination.
Might be this is what is causing the problem for you. Also according to my knowledge SAP cannot decide the Lot Size for Prodn Version while doing the costing run. You need to tell the system what data to be used for costing.
    Try and revert back.
