Routing Operation Classification 018

Hi All,
I have mainatined the class type as 018 in CL02.
And assigned class to one of the operation of the routing.
But when i try to check the attahced class to operation after some time it is giving me the error message as
No classifiable objects defined
Message no. CL512
Diagnosis
No classifiable objects are defined.
Before you can classify an object, you must define the object type.
I am using ECC 6.0 version.

An old question, but if someone is having the same problem this could help.
SAP showed me the same error when I tried to access the operation class in the txn CA02.
No classifiable objects defined
Message no. CL512
Then I displayed the class in txn CL03 and when i tried again to show the class in txn CA02 the error disappeared. You could try to display the class information before using txn CA02 to avoid the message CL512.

I have to check if a routing operation (CA03) is classified. In CA03 there is an indicator that shows if a classification exists.
(PLPOD-KLAKZ) I already checked function group CPCL but I didn't find any function module which fits to my needs.
If there is any function module or database table this information is stored please help me to find it.

Dear,
The classification data of the resource has not yet been converted.
So that the same classes can be used for defining the selection conditions as for classifying resources, a conversion must be carried out for class type 019.
Please start report RCCLUKA2 in SE38 with the following parameters: Object table: CRHD

Load Program to Assign Class to Routing Operation

Hello Experts,
I used the standard batch direct input program to load Routings/operations/bom component allocation etc.
We also have a requirement to assign Class(for class type 018) to each of these operations.
Please suggest a standard load program to assign classification to a routing operation.

Can anybody tell me the database table relation or is there a function module or a BAPI or something like this !?

I suppose you have every PLPO needed (else look at function module WOSTS_TASKLIST_READ_FROM_DB)

I can find out the operation Valid from date from table PLPO or PLAS, but from which table can I find out the Valid to date of the routing operation ?

Routing Operation item field update in configurable material

Hi All
Material is a configurable material ,which is having a selection options in a sales order and based on the selection options there is characteristics BOM quantity gets updated based on the formulae.
If you go to routing and double click on the operation to see the details , you will see the unit of measure conversion with the header and Operation fields. I want BOM quantity should get updated in the operation field (UMREN).
I was using the Reference characteristics with PLPOD table and UMREN field to update the value in the UMREN field. And i created a procedure with a logic and is assigned to configuration profile and the Routing operation.
Process is MTO process, Production order is generated when the sales order is created. i checked in production order after creating a sales order, UMREN field is not updated and dont know what where i am doing mistake and i also checked in the Routing Master Data there also its not updating.
Above mentioned is not an requirement but to calculate the costs accurately, we have to approach this way.
Please suggest.

this problem is solved...its was a simple thing...go to extra in operation tab of routing, then go to references and there is an option of unlock....
and bingo...the problem is solved.

Tables for knowing depedencies associated to routing operations

Hi everyone,
I have created a routing with some operations which I have assigned to a configurable material.
Some of these operations have an associated dependency.
I would be very grateful if someone could explain me which tables should I review to know which dependency is associated to each routing operation.
I have also the same problem with BOM positions.

What is the use of the function Unplanned Inspection Characteristics in Routing - Operation ? Its normally grayed off.
I am aware of the same in RR of the Inspection Lot.

Ok so you were asking the same for Production order. You wrote routing operation and my mind stuck there since I read it. I was searching for it. You make good exercised to me. LOL!!!
Anyways, in the production or process order the unplanned MIC does the same task of job what it used to de in QE51N or any other RR work sheet. And you can assign the Unplanned MIC to Pro. Order itself to the relevant operation. Let it be gray there, you just follow the steps to attach an unplanned MIC to Operation in the Order, and the same will be reflated to RR screen also.
- Select the operation line item.
- Now follow the path,,, Operation->Function for phase / for operation->Unplanned Inspection characteristics.
- Now it will lead you to the same screen for unplanned characteristic as you can have in other RR work lists.

Change UoM of on routing operations.

Hi PP Experts,
Please someone help me on my problem regarding changing UoM on routing operation. I have to change or convert the labor time and machine time from CTS (cents of second) to S(second). How can i change that and i have to consider the impact on report such as routing check, standard time checking report and finacial cost.

1. In the routing change the UOM for standard value to S and eneter the calculated machine time in S.
2.Change the Base qty and the operation unit.
3.Activity type and the cost needs to be checked.

Class Type 019 for operation classification in Routing

I need to assign class type 019 for classifying operation.
Its giving the below error: "Data for class type 019 has not been converted yet"

Can any one update the implications of the steps or how can Proceed with this.....
Diagnosis
You want to define resource selection conditions. In this case, you need to classify the operations with class type 019. The data for class type 019 must be converted first.
Procedure
1. In Customizing for the Classification System, call the classifiable object types.
2. Make a note of the settings for the following objects in object table CRHD (work center) and class type 019:
AFVC
CRHD
PLPO
3. Delete these objects and save your settings.
4. In the main menu, choose Tools -> ABAP Workbench, and then Development -> ABAP Editor.
5. Enter the program name RCCLUKA2 and choose Execute.
6. Enter class type 019 and choose Execute.
The system converts the data of this class type.
7. Call the classifiable object types in Customizing for the Classification System again.
8. Use the settings you have written down to create the objects again that you have deleted before

Select query in routing(operation,sequence)

Hello frds,
i am into change routing BDC actually i want a select query .....for like existing of operation for a particular sequence in routing....
if i will found operation for particular sequence i will run the bdc code lese i will exit...any one can help me...
just provide me a query....to check existnece of operation for a particular sequence......ASAP...

Why on earth would you want to keep the queries separate? As Tom Kyte would say, databases are born to join!
Providing emp_id has an index on it (and it should, assuming it's the table's primary key!) your "complex" (or, what I would call simple*), it'll most likely be faster than doing it separately. You've not got the context switches for one thing.
If you want to see what the optimizer does with your query, you should run a trace on the query. An explain plan would give you an idea of what it's going to do, too.
In general, doing something like this procedurally is going to almost certainly be worse than doing it in SQL (and by worse, I mean slower).
* I'd hate to see what you'd call some of the monster queries I work with, if you think that query is complex!

How to determine the value of a Standard Value in a routing operation

Kindly guide me on how to detemine the value of my Standard Value in the operation of my routing, or in the phase of my Master Recipe.
I mean what determines the value that I enter for the Standard Values: Machine and Labor in the phase of my Master Recipe?

In the Routing / Master Recipe, the standard values are based on the lot size.
For Example, if you have the lot of 100 KG, then in recipe the machine time will be 2 hr and labor time will be 2 hours, it means to make 100 KG we require 2 hrs of machine and 2 hrs of labor.
Normaaly all production manager / supervisor will have the date for the hours. The system will calculate will respect to batch / lot size.
If you have order for 1000 KG, then the system will assign 20 hrs for Machine and 20 hrs for labor.
This will be used for Capacity planning and Costing.
Capacity plan here your requirement is 20 hrs for machine and labor. If you have a reacto which wil run for 24 hrs a day, then the order will be completed in a day.
Costing is concerned, all std. valur key will be assigned with an activity type in work center / Resources and the prices for activity type / cost center will be maintained in KP26.
Based on the cost and hours, the system will allocate cost for the order (it will be planned cost). When you are confirming the order you will enter the actual time for the operation, then that will be your actual cost.
Pl do a sample test scenario in your sand box, and surely you will understand more.
The data for Routing / Recipe will be provided by the production manager of the plant and activity price will be provided by the finance team.

Select Routing Operation

Dear All,
I want to use routing oerations in program. I am using plpo table, but I have one problem, eg. in ca03 tcode for material 37 it is displaying 4 operaions like 20, 30, 40, 50. But in table plpo there is 10 operation also I want to avoid this operaion(10). Please tell me how to do it?

delete internatablename where operation eq 10?
