Routing outbound SMTP email for a domain to a GWIA

Hi,
I need to forward email as the original sender to an ISP for certain of our users to pickup with their BlackBerry's.
I had originally configured our production GWIA's with: /flatwd and /realmailfrom which achieved the forwarding of email messages.
Though it seems to have broken the 'Forward as Attachment' feature from the GW client.
I looked at TID 7002601 which looks like exactly what I need.
I configured a secondary domain with a GWIA and did the necessary configs in C1/GWIA.CFG.
Problem is that even though I specify the forward address as ROUTEDOM.ISPGWIA:[email protected] (ROUTEDOM.ISPGWIA being the object name of my secondary GWIA) - messages are still continuing to route via the original path and not through the additional GWIA.
Any pointers would be much appreciated!

  • Unable to send and receive email for external domain

    Hi,
    I just installed Exchange Server on my 2K8 domain controller. I have set up the send connector and made necessary changes to the receive connector as well. I have updated the DNS records as well on my domain registrar. I can access OWA from outside my companies

    I also did nslookup. Results mentioned below:

    Hi hg01,
    According to your description, I notice that you installed Exchange server on a DC.
    It is not recommended to install Exchange server on a DC. I suggest install Exchange server on a member server. More details to see:
    Installing Exchange on a domain controller is not recommended
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms.exch.setupreadiness.warninginstallexchangerolesondomaincontroller(v=exchg.150).aspx
    About your issue, cannot send and receive externally, I suggest make sure the DNS can be resolved first.
    Then, check whether Outlook Anywhere has been enabled. If not, please enable it on both Exchange server and Outlook client side.
    Last, try to configure both Send Connector and Receive Connector.
    More detailed error message will be helpful for the further troubleshooting.
    Thanks

  • Email Activity not sending emails for one domain - 10.1.3.4 MLR#10

    I have four domains in my BPELConsole. My evey BPEL process has CatchAll block and I'm sending email notification with fault details.
    Somehow, my BPEL processes from three domains are sending emails properly but myDomain4 is not sending emails even after successful execution of Email Activity.
    1) I have compared the Email code with processes in other domain and they are similar.
    2) orabpel.bpelnotification is not logging any error for this notification.
    3) I never received any email from this domain. There was no error in logs during domain creation.
    3) I am getting following in logs that sending email was successfully executed. It received Notification ID too
    <2010-09-22 07:24:44,530> <DEBUG> <myDomain4.collaxa.cube.services> <oracle.bpel.services.notification.queue.QueueConnectionPool::QueueConnectionPool> Fetched a queue connection from pool java:comp/env/jms/Queue/NotificationSenderQueueConnectionFactory, available connections=4

    Please help/hint for any possible solution/debugging.

    sometimes i have seen emails not being sent when the async invokes takes more time than the overall completion.. And yes, we might still see successful log as emails sent. FYI - I am with 10.1.3.3.1 MLR #8.
    did you try just creating a email only process? switch off all other processes in that domain and initiate only this email process to see what happens..

  • Emails for multiple domains

    Hi,
    I ve a problem with IMS 5.2 on Win 2K, I applied the patch Hotfix 1.
    I installed IMS to manage domain xxx.com but I also need to be able to create users for other email adresses routed on my server, like yyy.be. When I send an email with an adress @yyy.be, I can retrieve it with the correct adress (e.g. [email protected]), but when I send an email to this user [email protected] I receive an error : smtp;530 5.7.1 Relaying not allowed: [email protected]
    From the other side I can send and retrieve every mail from an adress @xxx.com.
    Some say I must create a domain Alias, like explained in the doc, but when I want to import a LDIF file, it doesn't want, sending error : 0 entries imported, 1 entry rejected, and the file reject contains : Error 32 .... Could someone explain me how and where to create such an alias because I am new to IMS and I am a bit lost at this time?
    Thank you in advance,
    a user who needs help !!!

    What behavior do you want? If you want the two domains to be separate, I would use Distributed Admin to create a new domain. That will create entries in o=internet and in your main tree. If you don't use iDA, the Provisioning Guide tells you what entries to create. I haven't tried it, but the manual suggests that "imadmin domain create" might do the job as well.
    If you want the second domain to be an alias for the first, the sleazy approach is add lines to imta.cnf. Here's an example for a server installed as rulink-mail.rutgers.edu, configured to receive mail for [email protected]:
    moltar.rutgers.edu $U%[email protected]
    This causes [email protected] to be treated the same as [email protected] I'm sure there are more elegant approaches. Of course this only causes mail sent to [email protected] to work. It doesn't make the system recognize moltar.rutgers.edu in other contexts (e.g. when users login).

  • Hold email for specific domain

    Is there a way to hold outbound-email only for a specific domain/user, without interrupting other users?

    Hi Alex,
    The new primary mail server is not available due to an issue with the ISP, so all mail is being delivered to the backup mx server (which is on both the new & old DNS MX records).
    The problem is that the backup MX server's DNS servers are using the old records (as the previous DNS NS records had an expire time of 7 days) and therefore relaying the email to an old ISP's relay servers (which then try to relay to an old IP address, so the email consequently gets lost).
    Ideally I would just flush the cache on the DNS servers, but I have no control over these, and the guys that manage them will not be in their office until tomorrow morning and I don't know if they will do this anyway.
    I know it is a far from perfect configuration, but hopefully you maybe able to suggest a solution

  • Routing email for an internal Mail server\domain to the Internet in Exchange 2010.

    Hello;
    We have an Exchange environment with multiple servers and multiple mail domains.  One of our overseas domains/servers is down at the moment because of a damaged cable somewhere in the Pacific...  We would like to be able to
    route email bound for that domain (xyz.cn) from our domain (xyz.com) thru the internet as their server still receives external traffic.  How ever since we are one great big AD/Exchange Forest email automatically gets routed by AD connection.
    Is there a way to send this email out thru the Internet?  We are being told that the "SHIP" will not be onsite for the repair for another week and then it will be 4-5 days for the repair.  any help is appreciated.

    You could probably investigate Internal or External Relay Domains.
    The basic idea is that you configure the accepted domain for xyz.cn in one organization as a relay domain. Then setup a send connector with the
    xyz.cn domain as the name space, using smart hosts on the internet.
    If the Exchange org receives mail for xyz.cn it will accept it, but can't deliver it as there is no recipient mailbox in the org. It will then forward mail across the smart host.
    I'm not sure if this will work in your case or not, as it will depend on DNS configuration, etc (you don't want to forward mail to a smart host, only to have it deliver it straight back to you). It's something for you to think about though.
    Another option is to use a network level solution, such as an internet based VPN. However, this is not really the forum for that.
    Hope it works out for you

  • [Solved] Need pointer for setting up an email server for other domains

    I am trying to setup a mail server that can handle multiple domains. Followed this tutorial [1]
    What I have:
    mailserver.domain.tld
    domain.tld
    domain2.tld
    I have set up postfix with dovecot through postfixadmin, have configured roundcube as my web email client. For the emails coming from and going to the @mailserver.domain.tld addresses work as I would expect them to.
    But what I am not grasping I guess is how do I add the domain.tld and domain2.tld domains so that the emails are @domain.tld but they are properly routed to be received on @mailserver.domain.tld
    I have been reading the wiki and the postfix virtual readme, but I feel like I am getting lost and confused on terms. Can someone point me back on path for what the proper next step is to be able to get the other domains to receive mail properly. Should it be done with a virtual email or domain or? I have tried both, but probably not properly and any time I send from @domain.tld the email headers do not say to send back to @mailserver.domain.tld .
    Thanks for your time and help.

    Did you add MX records for mailserver.domain.tld to your domains? That should basically all that is needed to get it working, assuming you configured the domains in postfixadmin already so your postfix feels responsible for them.

  • Smtp authentication for email invites with RTC

    I'm trying to configure email invitations for Real-Time conferences and am following the documentation.
    Problem I'm encountering is we use smtp host authentication with Exchange but I don't see any way to set this up for RTC invites.
    rtcctl> setProperty -system true -pname EmailEnabled -pvalue true
    rtcctl> setProperty -system true -pname SmtpHost -pvalue "mail-net.company.com"Where do I set an SMTP username and password?
    Thanks.

    Any comments from Oracle? Isn't anyone doing smtp authentication for outbound emails?

    As you haven't told us who your email provider is, no.
    There isn't an SMTP server for Greece - it is either provided by your email provider, or the Internet provider you are connected through.

  • BODS 3.1 :SMTP configuration to send email for success or failure of job

    Hi.
    This is further to this post : http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1965129&tstart=0
    Thanks to all for the help.
    I did not find a complete set of information as things to do (for a person who is new to BODS).
    Hence sharing the workflow which works for me when tested on a simple workflow  :
    Pre-requisite : SMTP service to be made available on the BODS server and port 25 to be opened up.
    This is done by the IT dept of the company.
    When smtp service is activated and port 25 is opened up, telnet IP address 25 should say, service is available.
    Suggestion : create a email group like : bods at company.com which can be used to be used for the BODS JOBs. Which does not prompt for a password. This also is done by the IT dept of the company.
    1) On the BODS server :
    1) Click open Data Services Server Manager
    2) SMTP settings for smtp_to functions :
    Add the IP Address of the SMTP server
    Add the email address of the sender. Eg. bodsjobs at companyname,com
    3)Apply/Restart the server.
    2) Login to BODS Designer :
    Create a test job :
    TRY ==>DF===> Script for success ===> CATCH script for failure
    In the script for success : add the following :
    print (' IN TRY BLOCK Before email ' );
    smtp_to('bodsjobs at abc,com', ' SUCCESS OF JOB  :  '
    || job_name(),'Job completed successfully ', 0, 0);
    print('After Email ');
    In the script for Catch add the following :
    print (' IN CATCH BLOCK Before email ' );
    smtp_to('bodsjobs at abc,com', 'FAILURE OF JOB : '
    || job_name(),
    error_number( ) || 'Error message: ' || error_message( ) ||
    'check details', 50, 50);
    print('After Email ');
    Note : In the catch : select all exceptions on the check box.
    Save all.
    Click on the job and say execute.
    The job will run and if it is successful. You will receive the succes mail.
    If there is any error in the DF before the catch, you will receive a mail, which says failure.
    The above workflow, when tested atleast works for me.
    Hope this  helps.
    Regards

    Hi Arun.
    Am really not aware as to how to make things work from the console.
    I work on windows environment both at client and on the server.
    It looks like you got a bit confused on suggestion of a email group account.
    I never did anything on outlook configuration for activation of smtp for bods.
    I think you should not mess with outlook.
    I dont know from the client side how things work.
    But i have worked directly on the BODS server where the bods installation was done.
    It is relatively very simple to do and to test.
    But to even test why you get that error.
    All you need is just a email id. Which could be yours ???
    Put your email id as the source of email in that box in the job server.
    And put only your email id in smtp_to and test it.
    Run a test job. If it completes successfully. You will receive a mail.
    In the catch, if you have checked all the boxes for error capture,
    if the job fails, it would throw a dump of the errors in the email.
    Once everything works well and you receive emails for any jobs you are running.
    Then you could decide for the source of your email id and for the receipients of your emails of the jobs.
    You could put a group id of your team as source. And also in smtp_to script in case you want everyone to receive the alert that the job has been done or it has errors.
    Or include only those email ids in the smtp_to whom you feel, should receive the mail.
    Hope this idea helps.
    Please dont mess with outlook for any smtp activation for bods.
    It is not required if you are working on a windows environment.
    You just need a email id for testing.
    Outlook configuration does not come into picture at all.
    if there is any other unix environment involved. I have no idea.
    And i really do not know how things would be from a client side to configure.
    Server configurations i do from the server.
    I did all configurations on the main server machine. Not from the client.
    And I have only one job server so i did everything there.
    I did not do anything from management console.
    I use management console only for monitoring of jobs on a daily basis, the dashboard which gives you details of the data pulled, time taken etc etc.
    cheers
    indu.

  • Forward Email for one account to another domain?

    I apologize if this is a repeat question, but I am still having problems setting this up.  Snow Lep used to have the ability to forward email for a user to another location.  I host my own domain with multiple users.  I want all mail sent to one of those users, in my domain, to go to another email address outside my dowmain.  Basiclly to do whatever process they "Forward mail" option in old Workgroup Manger, for a user.
    I looked into the "Virtual Domain" stuff for postfix, and forwarding there, but from what I can understand, thats for Virtual Domains, not for ones that  your actually hosting.  i.e. Can't have domain.com in Mydestinations AND Virtual file.
    So how do I acomplish this?
    Thanks in advance.

    I was very happy to hear that Mail in iOS 4 would allow me to move individual email messages from one account to another, indeed from one folder in one account to another folder in another account. Of course, this has been trivially easy in OS X's Mail.app for ages.
    I'm very disappointed to find that there's a gigantic gotcha -- I cannot for the life of me move an email received in (say) my Gmail account, or my me.com account, into any folder in my work Exchange (2003) account. I get the same message: "Unable to move message. The message could not be moved into the mailbox [foo]."
    Is this in fact generally the case? If so, it should be owned up to.
    With two Exchange accounts, Gmail and a private business account, I can't move messages from either account to the other. I'd love to know if there's a fix.

  • How can I make a custom domain email for my client?

    I have an Adobe Muse subscription, with hosting through Adobe, and the Domain name is also with Adobe. How can I make an email for a particular domain for my client so that it will use a "company email" (even if it just redirects to say a gmail or yahoo that is fine) to read "[email protected]?

    Hello,
    As I can see you have a WebBasic Creative Cloud site, I would suggest you to use GoogleApps for your e-mail services.

  • Why is Mail asking me for the name of an smtp server for an email address that doesn't exist?

    I've migrated from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion on a new Mac, but in trying to use Mail on ML, it keeps asking me for the name of an smtp server for an email address that's never existed. The addy has my user name correct, but the server part of the address doesn't exist, or at least I've never used an email address with that provider. On ML there's no plist file for Mail, so nothing to delete there. What else can I do to get Mail working? The only other option I have is to abandon Mail as being crippled and useless, and use Postbox, which for it's price (US$9.95) is an attractive option. OTOH, I've paid for Mail after all, so it really ought to work. Any clues as to what I can do to stop its nonsensical behaviour? How do I file a bug report?
    TIA.
