"Row-based Only" checkbox for a post processing operating
Hi,
Is there documentation available on the "Row-based Only" checkbox for the post-processing operator? Any links to more information on this would be appreciated.
Regards,
Mazen
Hi Carsten,
My question is more on what is the use of the "Row-based only" checkbox that shows up in the properties window for a post-processing operator. How does this checkbox affect the execution of the post-processing transformation?

Row-Based Only option for post processing operator
Hi,
Have a question on the role of the "Row-base Only" option for post processing operators. I am trying to understand how a post-processing operation can be done in a row-based mode. A coded PLSQL procedure in a post processing operator is expected to run only once. So I am not clear on how this option might affect the execution of the transformation. Any clarifications would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Changing user for PPF - Post Processing Framework
Hello,
Is there a way to change the user for a Post Processing action once the trigger is activated?
There are times where we want a user action to kick off a PPF task, but we do not want them to have security to complete this extra task themselves. Also, the PPF task may create an activity document where we want a specific user id to be shown.
I believe the answer is no, but was wondering if anyone else out there was able to do this or had other ideas?
Thanks.
MikeThank you, PK!
That helped us look at our system and we do see a logical RFC connection we set up 6 years ago for workflow for when we went live. So that did help us some.
If we set up this logical connection, do you know how we can tie the ABAP RFC that we set up in BRF to use that logical connection?
Thanks.

SPRO - Create Destination for Import Post-Processing
Hi,
What is the significance of this setting in SPRO?
SAP IMG -> Business Intelligence -> Transport Settings -> Create Destination for Import Post-Processing
How and in what situations do we need to fill the entries for this setting?
ThanksHi George,
If you dont create a destination here in a target system for transport then your process chains will not get activated after the transport. I am not sure if it has any other implications.

TECO status for Prod order for which Post processing record exists
Dear PP Gurus,
We use BAPI_PRODORD_COMPLETE_TECH to TECO production order. Program doesn't TECO orders , if there are Post processing records exsiitng for order giving message "Postprocessing records for order 1000068 prevent technical closing" . I think this is standard BAPI msg.
When same BAPI is run in Foreground mode, it gives "Confirmation Prompt" , 'Order 1000068 : There are still reprocessing records . Set order to Technically Complete" with YES/NO/Cancel option. You can save TECO by selecting YES
Is there a way to achieve this in Background mode.
Thank you much in advance for help,
Regards,
JatinHello Jatin,
Call function DIALOG_SET_NO_DIALOG before the BAPI, then system handles the BAPI as in the non-dialog mode and the pop-up does not appear

Need Schedule Lines for the External Processed Operation
Dear All,
In My routing, I have totally 10 operations. 2 of which are externally processed Operations.
When i create Production Order, the system creates Purchase Requisitions for both the Operations.
My client wants, Schedule lines to be created in the Production Order Operations.
Please guide me where will be the settings to get this.
Thanks & Regards
BalaHi,
For schedule lines cofigration kindly check the following Path:
Material management-- Purchasing--
Schdulling agreement
Here you need to do the cofigration of the following as per your requirements:
Number ranges
Docuemnt types
Release procedure

Need help for a post-processing "trigger"
Dear all,
Without getting into much detail, I have a system that is simultaneously introducing a sinusoidal Force (F) and measuring the sinusoidal response (X) of a structure under resonance. I need to acquire the whole time signal, including the free decay response in the end (please find attached a sample picture of the time signal and the corresponding data file), so I cannot use a trigger during the measurement. During the stationary response it may be seen that the signal has a slight negative slope: that is due to a phenomenon of dilatation of my structure that is dissipating heat at the same time.
My problem is how to know exactly when my NI-USB 6216 DAQ has stopped the excitation force, which, in my sample waveform would be around 0.025s (I require an automatic process of identifying it).
Is there any VI, filter or trigger function that might provide me that information?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Diogo Montalvão

Can't you use another analog input channel and capture the excitation voltage?
Or if you have a shaker with an amplifier that provide a current monitor output you can capture the excitation current and might find that due to the voltage control some amount of force is still introduced after setting the control voltage to zero and you might have to implement a system model that include the shaker and the output impedance of your amplifier :0

RESTRICT CONFIRMATION FOR EX. PROCESSING OPERATION
Dear ,
All SAP Experts,
Suppose in order to produce fin. product I have 4 operations.
operation 10 - pp01-inhouse
operation 20 -pp02 -operation subcontracting
operation 30 -pp01-inhouse
operation 40 - inhouse
My question is after confirming the 1st operation (inhouse).i want to restrict 2nd operation (sub.operation) from confirmation
unless & until the the material is received from outsorcing vendor(MIGO.Now the system allowed the 2nd operation without
taking GR from vendor normally.
please guide me.
regards,
RahulHi,
You can use BADI here - WORKORDER_CONFIRM.
Otherwise you can also use User exit - CONFPP03 PP order Conf: Cust. specific check after op. selection.
Take help from ABAPer.

Dear All,
In the CIF post processing, either via CIF Cockpit or via other post processing transactions, in APO or ECC, we need to go into each post processing record to find the reason for the post processing record being created and to check the status for Error / Warning.
Is there a way to view all the post processing records at APO or ECC system level?
Is there any method to analyze the reason for the post processing records, other than going into each one of them to find out?
I saw in the web of the existence of a program, where on adding some simple coding to the program, a report can be created to view the 'reason for post processing record' being created.
Regards,
Sridhar RHi Senthil,
Thanks for the reply.
The alerts system is already in place.
We are looking at a report where on execution, it would give the reason for the post processing record / error creation.
Based on the report corrective action could be taken, by appropriately notifying the respective teams / users in corresponding plants / regions.

Compressor post-processing applescript and cluster
I'm having a lot of trouble using a post-processing applescript. I have a preset that pumps out an mp3 from an hdv .mov. the post-processing script does some funky stuff and should pump out an xvid .avi. when submit the job to "This Computer" it works fine, I get the .mp3 and the script gets kicked off and generates .avi's. When the job is submitted to our cluster, however, the job fails immediately, doesn't generate either mp3s or .avi's. the log has the following:
<----snip---->
pid="250" msg="Hard-linked source file to cluster storage."/>
<log tms="226012897.974" tmt="02/29/2008 13:21:37.974" pid="250" msg="Job resource error: System Error = 1 {Operation not permitted}Failed to read filethread terminated due to exception (remote exception). This is likely caused by missing or renamed watermark filter file."/>
<mrk tms="226012897.975" tmt="02/29/2008 13:21:37.975" pid="250" kind="end" what="service-request" req-id="D729F684-764C-439E-9A06-888BB4C9405C:1" msg="Preprocessing job request error (exception=Job resource: System Error = 1 {Operation not permitted}Failed to read filethread terminated due to exception (remote exception))."></mrk>
</logs>
</service>
</services>
<----snip---->
all requisite files have been placed on either a global filesystem (OD home directory for the post-processing script itself) or copies have been distributed to all nodes (a requisite to the applescript). The submitting user has full read/write permissions to the working dir and any subfolder.
Any ideas? In case anyone runs up against this one, I found a solution/workaround. It turns out that when submitting the job to the queue, qadmin would copy the applescript over to the shared folder. During this copy, it would change attributes of the file such that the OS thought the .app was a classic application and would refuse to run it.
Workaround: in compressor preferences, set "Cluster Options:" to "Never copy source to cluster"
Luckily this worked for our setup as we assume all source media and scripts are already on a global filesystem. -
Externally processed operation and planned order
Hello experts,
When an operation is defined as externally processed, once the production order (from a planned order generated via MRP) is created, the purchase requisition for that operation is automatically generated. My question is if it is possible to generate the purchase requisition before generating the production order, I mean, with the planned order.
Although this external operation is defined in the routing, the planned order does not show it and it means that the purchase requisition is not generated.
In our scenario we want to convert the production orders as late as possible to have automatic changes in BOM, but if we do not convert the planned orders to production orders, we won’t have this purchase requisitions.
Is there any way to solve this?
RegardsHi Laura
No, it's not possible to generate the purchase requisition for an externally processed operation before the creation of the production order. The planned order routing is only exploded for scheduling and capacity requirements calculation and an operation is not actually created.
As an alternative, you can create a separated material number and assign the special procurement 30 for subcontracting to this material. If you add this component to the BOM of the parent material, MRP will directly generate a purchase requisition for subcontracting.

Row based Target only mode not supported
when i try to execute a mapping i am getting the following error
Row based Target only mode not supported
what can be the reasons for thisHello Michael
Check if you have a procedure (other than pre or post mapping) in your mapping. Every part of a mapping after a procedure can only be generated in row-based mode.
Hope this helps

Post Process Event Handler not getting user's CURRENT_STATE for a UDF field
I have a post process event handler in OIM R2 BP04 , which runs on Trusted Reconciliation and it compares user's ("CURRENT_USER") state and ("NEW_USER_STATE") and based on that derives a business logic.
The problem that i am facing is that, it is not able to get the User's ("CURRENT_USER") state for a UDF(EMAIL_LIST) field and it is coming as null, and hence is breaking the business logic. The same Event Handler is working on TEST and QA ( 4 node cluster)environments and is not working on PROD environment( 4 node cluster).
The different thing that was done on was that during the initial recon the event Handler was not present and after the initial load of the users i have manually executed the database sql query which have updated the "EMAIL_LIST field manually for all the users
I think that since during the initial recon as the EMAIL_LIST was not populated and was populated through the SQL update for all the users, the orchestration inter event data does not contain email list, and so it is coming as null.
But i am seeing the same behavior for new records as well, which are created and then updated after event handler is registered.
Please reply, if you have encountered something similar.
Thnx
AkshatYes i need the old state, which is
Identity[] oldUserStatesIdntArr =
(Identity[])(Identity[])interEventData.get("CURRENT_USER"); -
Workflow for post processing offline images
I'm a professional real estate photographer who normally edits his own images after a photoshoot. I've recently become so busy that I'd like to outsource the post processing of my images to another individual who also uses Photoshop.
Is there a way to send this individual lower resolution images so he can work on them and then have him send me the metadata from his edits, so I can apply them to the images I have on my system? The reason for this question is because I'd like to minimize the size of the images I'm sending to the editor, but still be able to produce high resolution stills.
I understand there is a way to work with RAW images and save the metadata, but that doesn't fix the file size issue, and you can only save certain aspects like white balance, levels, etc... I really need a way to capture his history and save that to a file, that way if he were to use a certain filter, or brush on the image, the same results would be applied to my images.
Thanks in advance for your help! You can't apply the history log, it is just information on what has been done to the file. You would have to read this file and simply repeat the same steps on the higher resolution version of the file.
As for the replacement work flow I mention: you would open the low resolution file that your worker created. Then you would use the Place command (under the File menu) to add your original high resolution version of the image as a new layer. This will make your image a Smart Object layer. Move this layer to the bottom of the layer stack, just above Background, if that is an option. Make sure your smart object is at 100% scale (when you place the file, it is shrunk to fit the existing document boundaries), you can do this by using Free Transform (under the Edit menu) and verifying the values at the top. Then use the Reveal All command (under the Image menu) to resize the canvas to fit the full resolution version of the image. However, this really will only work if the editing involved was pretty much nothing by adjustment layers. Any pixel edits will have to be resized as well and may loose detail or not line up correctly once enlarged.
