Roxio Game Capture HD PRO

BB already stocks the previous game capture device, this new one was just released, is there an ETA on when it will be in stock? It's not listed on the website yet, thanks.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE ROXIO! Honestly man I would advise you to put and extra 70 to 80 dollars in and get a hd pvr2 for around 170 but I also heard the elgato game cap is amazing which is used by big clans like soar and faze on youtube. Go check them out but the quality on the roxio is disappointing and you will get a lot of hate from the community.

  • How to disable Cool N Quiet driver when it isnt in the bios or registry for Roxio game capture?

    1. HP G60-120 US Notebook PC
    2. Windows 7 32-bit
    3. No error messages
    4. No changes before issue occured.
I was told by Roxio (company of the capture card I bought to record gameplay on my Xbox) to call HP and get my Cool N Quiet driver disabled after I updated my other drivers and still had problems with my capture card. Can somebody tell me where to find it other than in the registry and bios because it is NOT in there and I have looked already more than 5 times or if you know where I can get it remotely disabled. HP cannot remotely disable it because I just talked to them and they don't have the power to do that.

No, Corecenter is almost useless and is NOT needed to "activate" Cool n Quiet.  The best it can do is tell you fan speed and temps, and even that is questionable.  It will also tell you clock speed but you can get that from right clicking "My Computer" choose Properties, go to General tab, note mhz displayed there.  If it is about half of full clock speed for your CPU, then CnQ is working right.  If it shows full clock speed, then CoolnQuiet is NOT working and you need to re-read Mr. Woo's original post which gives details about how to enable it.
Next, about fan speed.  You have to understand that CnQ does not have anything to do with fan speed directly. Unless you have fan speed control disabled in BIOS, then your fan is going to control as you described whether you have CnQ enabled or not. In BIOS, in the H/W Monitor section, there is a place to enable or disable fan speed control - it's called CPU Smart Temperature Monitor or something like that.
As long as it is enabled and your fan is compatible and hooked up right, the fan will ramp up and down to control temperature. This is independent of CnQ.  And it is independent of Corecenter.  Disable CnQ and shutdown CoreCenter, the mobo still controls fan speed.

  • I am recording from my computer screen with an elgato game capture card.  Why is the video blurry when I import it to Premiere elements?

I am recording my computer screen with an elgato game capture card.  When I play the unedited footage on my own computer, it is clear and crisp.  When I import the footage into premiere elements, it becomes blurry.  It becomes even blurrier when I save the edited video.  How do I keep the video clear?  How do I fix it?

    Thanks for the reply.
Please check out John T. Smith's information.
At this point, if you could tell us the file extension of the file involved, that would give us a start while you are
gathering the rest of the details.
You can easily get some information for us from Properties for your imported video that is blurry in the Editor.
    1. Click on Expert to get into the Expert workspace of Premiere Elements 13
    2. If you have not already, import your file into the program using Add Media/Files & Folder/Project Assets.
    3. Open Project Assets to see a thumbnail for the video that you just imported. Right click that thumbnail,
and select and click on Properties from the menu that opens.
    4. Tell us what is listed there is Properties - it should look something like this one which is specific for one of my wmv files.
Your information will be specific to the file that you right clicked in your Project Assets.
From what you have written so far, yours should show
    Image Size 1920 x 1080
Frame Rate either 59.94 or 60
Also, please go to Edit Menu/Project Settings/General, and tell us what you see for
    Editing Mode
    Timebase
    Frame Size
    Pixel Aspect Ratio
even if the fields look grayed out.
Your project settings may be contributing your Edit area previewing problems.
All of the above will keep us moving forward in the troubleshooting.
    Thanks.

  • Aperture to Capture One Pro via Catpult -  working

FYI  I figured out how to make the Aperture to Capture One Pro connection work with the Catapult plugin in both directions, preserving repeated image edits in Capture One Pro. We can now use Capture One Pro as a (slightly awkward) plugin for Aperture, many people like their RAW conversion.
I think more could be done to make it simpler, but it is working.
My write up is on the Capture One Forum, here:
    http://forum.phaseone.com/En/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16675&sid=46e9c25c5f1d3770cc66 be99bda3441d

    Hi,
Aperture is a versatile application, which lets you perform all or at least the most tasks to handle your digital camera image files. It helps a lot to edit files, which means you can select winners and losers very quickly and in a very sophisticated way. It renames files and adds IPTC meta data.
One thing is really cool: It imports your master RAW files und does not touch them any more. When you alter an image (cropping, brightness, white balance etc) this is only written in a data base and Aperture shows you the altered master file in a new preview called Version. This version does not exist physically. It is only a little descriptive text file. When you export your image for delivery Aperture creates real images.
It is possible to automate workflows with Apples´s Automator. Aperture organizes files in a single library but you can export master raw files or tif, psd or jpg copies. Aperture creates niece Websites, and offers book templates for PDF-output or printing via a print service. There is many more. But one thing I should point out: the raw conversion of Capture One Pro is in my opinion much better. More details, better color control. This will get better, I hope with future version of Aperture. We got a version 1.1 now and the developers of Aperture seem to know about our problems. So for me, Aperture is a very cool Workflow tool. RAW conversion is not state of the Art but equal to ACR. And having master file and derivatives alltogether without cluttering the harddisk is very clever. But I will keep my version of Capture One Pro for quality reasons.
I hope this helps a bit.
    (Sorry for weak my english)
    Regards,
    Eberhard

  • Asking: How to keep in-app purchase for game on Macbook Pro.

I played Virtual City Playground game on Macbook Pro. However, recently, this game is crashed. I want to re-install it. However, I bought some in-app purchases in it. Can I keep that purchases before re-install it? Do I have to pay again for in-app purchases which I'd already bought?
    Thanks

Where did you purchase from?  If from the App Store, post in its forum area.

  • Aperture & Capture One Pro

I am brand new to Aperture so there is quite a bit I don't know. I have two questions:
First, when I import files from a card, they don't seem to exist anywhere as individual raw files. Is this correct.
Second, if I import using Aperture, do I have to import the files again so I can use them in Capture One Pro?

I am going to provide a slightly different take on your questions than the other responder...
First, when I import files from a card, they don't
seem to exist anywhere as individual raw files. Is
    this correct.
The RAW files are all still there - the Aperture Library.aplibrary is in fact a directory, but a special kind called a "package". If you right click on it in finder you can say "see package contents". Inside there are projects, which are also packages - you open those in the same way and inside there are import directories that house all your RAW files.
At any time if you want the RAW files again, you can either go into the directories themselves or in Aperture select as many images as you like and say "export master".
Second, if I import using Aperture, do I have to
import the files again so I can use them in Capture
    One Pro?
I would suggest a different approach - if you are going to do the RAW conversion in C1, then there's no need to also use the Aperture RAW conversion.
Instead, bulk export all of your RAW files through C1 as 16-bit TIFFs. Then import that lot into Aperture are you "master" files.
Now that will take up a lot of space, as 16-bit TIFF files are rather large. To reduce that burden do the culling as soon as possible after import and mark as many images "reject" as possible - then use the "View all Rejects" smart folder at the top level of the library to quickly select and delete all images you have marked as rejects and reduce the storage requirements.
You don't need to be too careful about the C1 conversion settings as you can still use all the Aperture RAW manipulation tools, like setting white balance or exposure with the full range the RAW would give you.
I do not know what kind of camera you have but after 1.1 comes out you may want to evaluate the quality of Aperture's RAW conversion again (in conjunction with using the new RAW fine tune tool for greater control) to make sure you really still need C1 for conversion. But Aperture is still plenty useful even if you do want to keep using C1.

    Hi,

  • HDCP protection and Dota 2 with AverMedia Game Capture HD 2

    Hi,
So I got a new AverMedia Game Capture HD 2 recently and I've been using it with PS3 and PSP games and now I also wan't to record some Dota 2. I have a HDTV which I use with an HDMI cable. I tried to connect AverMedia Game Capture HD 2 between the computer and the television with HDMI cables and I got a HDCP error. on AverMedia Game Capture HD 2.
My question is; Can I use an HDMI to 5 RCA/component cable to record Dota 2 on AverMedia Game Capture HD 2?
if it will work or not?
Edit: I learned that there is no actual converter cable while I was searching online. So I suppose it wont work with a cable. but What if I use a converter? This is more expensive solution but again will this work for recording Dota 2 etc... games on another display?

    Hey there TakaGhun,
It sounds like you are getting some slowness on your computer when playing a graphics intensive game. Try these settings from the article named:
OS X Mavericks: If graphics-intensive tasks slow down your Mac
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13952
If your portable Mac is slower than expected when you perform graphics-intensive tasks, such as playing games or editing video, open Energy Saver preferences. Depending on your Mac, you may see options that let you improve graphics performance in exchange for shorter battery life.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Energy Saver.
    Do one of the following:
If you see Graphics options, select Higher Performance. You need to log out and then log in again for the change to take effect.
If you see the “Automatic graphics switching” option, deselect it.Your Mac will always use high-performance graphics.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • Roxio video capture USB

will PR able to capture with Roxio Video Capture USB? a friend gave it to me  and i havent got it yet. it is in mail and I was wondering if it would work hooking up to VCR to MAC for PR to capture video on VHS?

the roxio dongle does have software that comes with it. it may be mac compatible. i am not entirely sure. but you can use that to capture to dv-avi, and premiere will recognize that. i used one for about a week though, wasnt too impressed with the quality, and upgraded to a hauppage composite capture card, still wasnt impressed, and finally i have a canapous 110. it is perfect. so if your mac has firewire (most do) save yourself the money and grief and just buy an advc 55 or advc 110. they just work.

  • Imported MJPEG from Game Capture Software Suddenly Out of Sync

First, I should point out that I am  new to Adobe products. I'm entirely self-taught with Premiere, and I know there are a lot of things that I don't fully understand yet. However, my methods were working fine until a couple weeks ago. Furthermore, I searched through the forums and couldn't find any issues quite like mine. A few were similar, but none helped with my issue. I'm sorry if there is something really simple that I'm overlooking here, but I would greatly appreciate any help.
For quite a few months I used PlayClaw 5 to capture video game content and then import it to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to edit it and piece together gaming compilations. It worked without a hitch until about two weeks ago when the audio in the imported file stopped syncing correctly with the video. I'm not doing anything different that I know of, although PlayClaw 5 did have a recent update. I'm not sure what information would be useful in a situation like this, but I can provide the following:
    My usual Premiere set-up:
    Capture format is HDV
Then I usually set my sequence presets to HDV 1080p30
From there, I have Premiere maximized and drag a video file from a folder to the project window. I wait until it indicates that the file has been imported completely, then I go about hacking the video and audio (which is usually mixed together from PlayClaw 5) and creating my own videos.
You can see in this video, the sound is synced perfectly - but a couple weeks later, I made this video, and the audio is off by just a bit, but it's noticable. Now all my imported videos have out-of-sync audio.
I can also provide the type of encoding that PlayClaw 5 uses for the videos:
Video Compression: MJPEG (quality at 95 with the option of YUV411 compression, was on for the second video link)
    Capture frame rate: 29.970
    Compression threads: 2
    Smooth frame flow enabled
    draw cursor enabled
    Convert to sterio enabled
Mix audio in one track enabled
    Container: AVI
Unfortunately, it doesn't give any other information about the audio.
Again, I'm sorry if this is just my lack of experience with video editing. Also, I apologize if this isn't a typical Premiere problem.
Thank you in advance for your time.
    Edit:
I realized that I never actually included a question...
Is there something I'm doing wrong to cause the audio to go out of sync all of a sudden? And is there an easy fix for this issue?

  • I want to get your opinion for Games on Macbook Pro

I want to install a game on my Macbook Pro, but I want to know if work correctly? Is there any chance the problem?

Look at the games specifications, then go under your Apple logo in the top left corner, you will see there the software version (under "About this Mac") as long as the version is above the required version and the game is designed for Apple products then it should work.
