Rp-pppoe 3.7: can't connect anymore

hi,
I just updated rp-pppoe from 3.5 to 3.7, but now I can't go online with arch anymore and have to use windows
/etc/ppp/pppoe.conf was moved to /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf.pacsave. I tried to run adsl-setup again for the new files, but adsl-setup is gone. Then I tried the .pacsave file, but it doesn't work.
I tried to run pppoe-setup to configure pppoe new, but it tells me to install ppp >= 2.3, but I already have the latest version of ppp (2.4.3) installed.
can anyone help me with this?
greets,
baze

Just create symbolic link (under root):
ln -s /usr/sbin/pppd /sbin/pppd
It's solve for me same problem after upgrade.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
    Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

  • Time Machine Can't Connect (anymore)

Time machine has decided that it can't connect to the backup volume located on the time capsule. I can see the drive fine, there is significant traffic when I attempt to access time machine, but it just spins it's wheels trying to connect to the backup volume. Once, it was actually nice enough to tell me it couldn't find it, now it just spins and spins and spins...

Good evening Mr. Conceptualpete. I saw your message on Apple's blog. I have exactly the same problem you are having with Time Capsule. Did you find a solution?
Time cannot be seen by Airport Utility software.
Please let me know, do you have any solution?
    Thank you very much,

  • Can't connect anymore

Yesterday, my AEBS decided it didn't want to let me connect to the internet anymore. I tried resetting it several times. It shows that my laptop is connected, but can't actually get online. I have the wireless for my laptop, but it's also connected to my XP desktop through ethernet. I left the AEBS unplugged over night and when I connected it up again, it reset everything. Can someone tell me how to set everything up again? I've forgotten how to do so since I haven't had a problem in years.
    Thanks

Here are the basic set up steps for your 802.11g AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) to establish Internet connectivity:
    AEBS w/High-Speed Cable Modem
Perform a "hard" reset of the AEBS
    o (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107451)
    Modem/Router Power ReCycling
o Power-off the Cable modem, AEBS, & computer(s); Wait for at least 15 minutes.
o Power-on the Cable modem; Wait at least 10 minutes.
o Power-on the AEBS; Wait at least 5 minutes.
    o Power-on the computer(s)
    Setup the AEBS
Either connect to the AEBS's wireless network or temporarily connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the LAN port of the AEBS, and then, using the AirPort Admin Utility, try these settings:
    AirPort tab
o Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
o AirPort Network Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
o Create a closed network (unchecked)
    o Wireless Security: Not enabled
    o Channel: Automatic
    o Mode: 802.11b/g Compatible
    Internet tab
    o Connect Using: Ethernet
    o Configure: Using DHCP
    o WAN Ethernet Port: Automatic
    Network tab
    o Distribute IP addresses (checked)
o Share a single IP address (using DHCP & NAT) (enabled)
Once you verified that you can get Internet access for all of your computers, you should secure your wireless network. To do so, I suggest that you make these changes:
    Change Wireless Security
    o Wireless Security: WPA Personal
Base Station Options - WAN Ethernet Port
    o Enable SNMP Access (unchecked)
    o Enable Remote Configuration (unchecked)
o Enable Remote Printer Access (unchecked)

  • Windows Mail client can't connect anymore -

It worked fine forever up until last week - 7/24.  Now I get the error below whenever I try to connect.  I've checked all the settings per the ATT FAQ page and deleted and readded the server info, but no luck.  I tried talking with ATT support and they gave me all the same server settings and said I'd have to pay for higher level tech support.  Any ideas? The host 'inbound.att.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
    Account: 'inbound.att.net', Server: 'inbound.att.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

    Hi Mid.Hudson-IT,
Before we begin ,we should ensure we have configured the printer server correctly .
Here is a link for reference of configuring the printer server .
Print server role: Configuring a print server
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc775791(v=ws.10).aspx
"I can map all of the printers on the network to the print server as-well as install the drivers correctly and I can resolve the IP and server name via DNS"
From this sentence ,I can`t figure out whether you have tried to ping the server both with the IP adress and name adress from the client ?
If we can ping the print server from the client,we can ensure the connection to the printer server is good .
Then we can try to install the printer driver directly to have a check .In the adress bar of Windows Explorer ,input "\\server name \the printer name"
If we cannot ping the print server ,we should troubleshoot the network issue firstly.
We also can check the event viewer for more information to troubleshoot this issue .
    Best regards

  • I have an issue with my 3G connection: my iphone can't connect anymore to the data network even though I have a contract with unlimited internet access and the date/3G is turned ON. Anyone knows this problem ?

    Hi guys,
This problem showed up a few days ago. Even though I have turned on the 3G and the cellular data, my phone tells me there is actually no connection. But the network indicators shows a maximum network. I went to the genius bar and they fixed it by restoring the phone and it started working again. Then I restored it at home with my back up. Today, it started again: network issue. And the problem does not come from the network (I have tried my sim on another iphone with the same carrier). It really does come from the device.
    Any ideas ?
    Many thanks

    Hello
According to iTunes: About iOS backups http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
    Yes it saves,
"App Store Application data including in-app purchases (except the Application itself, its tmp and Caches folder).
Application settings, preferences, and data, including documents."
    Cheers,
    Lima

  • How can i resset and create a new password cause i forgot my password and i can't connect anymore?

how can I get a new password because I forgot my password

connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it via iTunes.  If it asks for the unknown passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore it.  For recovery mode see:

  • Upgrading to xcode and can't connect to the network

Hi! I use a C++ library in my application which connects to the network (I suppose it uses sockets). I've been using it for months and I was using xcode 3.2.4. Now, I just had the great idea of upgrading to xcode 3.2.5, and I found out my application was crashing with the error:
If you are encountering this problem running a simulator binary within gdb, make sure you 'set start-with-shell off' first. 3.2.5
Ok, couldn't solve it, so went back to 3.2.4, as suggested somewhere. The application is not crashing anymore, but now the library can't connect anymore to the network. Tried to rebuild it (I didn't write the library but I have the sources) and use the new library, but nothing. Still the library can't connect to the network. I tried with every simulator.
Any idea what there could be wrong and how I may be able to solve this? Can I somehow delete manually everything related to xcode and the simulator and try to start all over again?
    Thanks!

I've been able to temporarily solve this problem by removing the entire Development directory and installing again xcode 3.2.4. Even with xcode 3.2.4 however, the same happened, and I had to do this procedure again. Now it seems to be working correctly, but it seems something very strange has happened. Hasn't anyone experienced anything similar?
    Thanks!

  • ITunes 10.6 can't sync anymore with my readynas duo

Since I downloaded iTunes 10.6 version, I can't connect anymore to my readynas duo server.
I can still see my readynas as a shared device from iTunes menu but when I try to connect to it a timeout occurs.
I'm looking for a workaround solution if possible.

  • Help:Can't connect to an old PM9500 from my PB after upgrading it to 10.4.5

Need help: I can't connect anymore to an old Powermac 9500 from my PB after I upgraded the PB to system 10.4.5. I get the message:this file server uses an incompatible version of the AFP protocol.
Before the upgrade the PB ran on 10.2.8 and it was no problem connecting to the PM9500 (OS 7.5.5) via Appletalk/Ethernet. As I still use the PM9500 to run an Optronics drum scanner, it remains vital to be able to transfer files to my PB.

    Hi,
Apple made some changes to the file sharing in Tiger that will cause this problem. It looks like you'll need to upgrade the 9500 to Mac OS 9 or later. More information is available in the Knowledge Base.

  • Can't connect wifi after change channel and mode in router

I have a problem with wifi connection. I've been using arch linux for awhile now and my wireless connection is worked well until I setting my router via browser. I change my router channel from 6 to 1 and wireless mode to 802.11n. Usually in windows it will disconnected for awhile then it will connected again, but with arch linux its just disconnected and can't connect anymore. My AP's name before is "olympian hermes", but now it change to "olympian+hermes". in my router setting the name doesn't change (still: olympian hermes).
I've using windows to test if there is problem with my router but it's worked fine in windows. After that i'm using my android phone to make a wifi, but it still didn't work with another network.
I hope someone could help me, thanks in advance.

  • Can't connect to 5GHz Wireless on Airport Extreme

I just bought an Airport Extreme, and enabled Wireless Internet. Settings:
Radio Mode: 802.11n only (5 GHz)
    Channel: Automatic
    Wireless Security: WPA2 Personal
I can't seem to connect to the AE with these settings. I added a preferred network with the right settings, and tried to connect manually to the Connection's name with WPA2 Personal + the password that's in the AE.
Strange thing is, I works perfectly when I change it to:
Radio Mode: 802.11n only (2.4 GHz)
    Channel: Automatic
    Wireless Security: WPA2 Personal
So 2.4GHz works, but as soon as I change it to 5GHz, I can't connect anymore. I installed the n-software that came with the AE, and it's working since 802.11n on 2.4GHz gives no problems. I'm also about 1 meter away from the AE, so distance can't be a factor.

I guess it should; I installed the update that came with the Airport Extreme. I also guess it's already working, since I'm currently using the setting '802.11n only (2.4 GHz)'.
I think some of my settings might be wrong, but I can't figure out which. Changing the radio mode to 5GHz and setting a WPA2 Personal key is all I can think of
