RPA Advance Search Button

Dear Friends
Currently RPA is used in C-projects but the advance search
button in demand overview is disabled could anyone assist
me as to how to enable the button.
I am assuming that the button is disabled so that user who
has logged in only views those projects that the user is
responsible.

Thanks. For this application there are a potential universe of 17K members. $10 for an app will not fit the scenario. Nevertheless the Reader is a great start and I can control the download options (kiosk system at convention) to list "laptop/desktop" versus iPad.
Could you elaborate on how to get links to work? I've got the original Word documents, its derived PDF and using Acrobat Pro X (Mac). There are about a dozen obvious links that I'd like to try to get to work and learn how to make this work.

Thanks for your response.
May you can forward this as to whoever looks after improving the Adobe product. It would be very useful to have it available on the navigation pane. At the moment the 'advanced search' feature opens up outside the PDF and is a pain to use.

Advance Search Button and iPad Reader-how to troubleshoot?

I have a collection (1100 pages) that was the result of merging 136 individual PDF's derived form Microsoft Word files into one collection. I've added bookmarks and a bookmark button to perform and advanced search. The translation is nice.
On the laptop/desktop the button works as anticipated.
On the iPad (most current reader) nothing happens. However the search icon (magnifying glass) on the tool bar performs.
Not to confuse my audience should I have 2 flavors-iPad vs all other platforms? Reader/laptop does not have a search icon option but it is available under Edit/Advanced Search.
Also there are hyperlinks in several locations. These do not fire up Safari on the iPad. Might this be a limitation or do I have to do some unique coding. In this case I have about 140 instances throughout the collection.
If this is a limit due to the Reader/iOS I can probably get away with "this is not supported" statement for this release (September 1).
One OT: The Search function on the iPad (first gen) works but it is not as quick as on the laptop/desktop. Just an observation. Happy to have Adobe in teh stable of PDF readers for the iPad.

Hide Button Advanced Search in the Account

Hi Colleagues,
in CRM 4.0 I try to hide the Advanced Search Button for the User in the search area and need to know if I can hide the button with customizing or not?
Please can you help or asssist?

Did you try the transaction variant for this? The transaction code for maintaining transaction variants is SHD0. The generic flow of configuration for a transaction variant is:
A) CREATE SCREEN VARIANTS - Create a screen variant for a program name and screen number
B) CREATE TRANSACTION VARIANT - Create a transaction variant and assign the screen variants create above to this transaction variant
C) SET DEFAULT TRANSACTION VARIANT - Set the transaction variant create above (in point B) as the default transaction variant so it becomes applicable for all users. Advance setting is possible to assign the transaction variant to specific user or user groups.
Let me know if this works.

In advanced search inputtext turkish character problem

In my project when page is shown first Turkish characters in input text looks fine.But when I press advanced search button only input texts values changed and turkısh characters not show.For example İ return Ý.
I use jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 with jheadstart 10.1.3.1 license version. Project is published with oracle application server soa suite 10.1.3.What am I do for solved it???Thanks for all....

Advance search in portal

Hello Guru's
We are facing issue in the advance search.
when ever we click on advance search button in portal and select the activites related to me and click on Go botton we are getting only one activity, on the second click we are getting all the activites.
But it shoud display all the activites on the first click.....
Our back end system is SAP CRM 4.0, can u help us where we need to look in to this..........to over this issue.......

In tool Area Iview, We advance search link option just beside search buttion.
When we click on that advance search link it takes us to some other window for more clarity search.
What i want is when i click on that advance search link it should take me to some other URL.
How can i give some other URL without modifying the tool area Par.

Your question is not clear. Is the advanced search view relevant? Do you want to make radio buttons available as an option for selecting field values? In that case, the purpose is already served by the "IS" operator. If you simply want to create radio buttons somewhere else in the page, there's a standard BSP application which demonstrats BSP tags. The name, I do not exactly remember. BSP_test or bsp_demo...

Hide "search" in EP (the button and Advanced Search link)

Hi,
If you need to remove the search view from the Portal page then you can do the following.
Go to Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Standard Portal Users
In this select the Default Framework page , open it.
Select the Tool Area and click on properties.
In the properties change the value to NO for Enable KM Search & Enable KM Search Advanced properties.
This is the simplest way you can remove the whole search area.
*There is one more way to remove the search *
If you want to remove the whole search, you can achieve this just by changing the com.sap.portal.toolAreaiView property "Enable KM Search". Just set the Property to NO.
If you want to remove only the search Button you have to edit the file "ToolAreaiView.jsp" from the PAR-File com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.par. Copy this file under your own namespace, unpack and remove the line:
<td nowrap> <%=searchButtonTextStr%> </td>
from the jsp-file. Redeploy this par file, create a new toolAreaiView based on the portal component in the PAR and integrate this iView in your frameworkpage.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to do this using the Theme Editor.

I am having problems using Firefox with Ebay in the last 10 days. The advanced search link is dropping off the page and there is no way to access it now.

I have been using Firefox and Ebay for at least 12 years with no problems whatsoever. But in the last 10 days I have been having trouble with the Advanced Search link disappearing from the page on Ebay. If I do a search from the Ebay home page it will show the results, but the Advanced Search link (in blue letters) which always used to appear to the right of the Search button is gone. If I click Search again at this point I can see the Advanced Search link appear for a millisecond, but then disappear just as quickly. Also, if I refresh the page the same thing happens. I tried to duplicate this problem with Internment Explorer and it didn't occur, so it appears to be Firefox that is causing this issue. Of course when I contacted Ebay they told me my problem was that I wasn't using Internment Explorer! I love Firefox and do not want to switch!

You can try to clear the cache and cookies to see if that makes a difference:

How can i manual create a "advance search"?

There is a poplist in the page, and a named "Add" submitButton beside it.
When I click the "Add" button.
I need to create a Bean which is named from the text which is selected in the poplist.
Now, I have two problems:
1.I select a text from poplist, then click the "Add" button. At the first time, I use to setForwardURLToCurrentPage() to create a new Bean. But at the next time, no matter which I select any text from poplist, I only get the text which is selected at the first time. The poplist and "Add" button in one MessageCompontentLayout, and the other compontents (consist of creating new Bean) in the other MessageCompontentLayout.
2.when I create a new Bean, how can I save the Bean which I have created it at previous time.
This function just likes "Advance Search".

When I use the Norton Safe Search box in Firefox 3.6.19 the letters that I type group together and disappear behind the search button at the end of Norton Safe Search....any help?

I don't know how much more I can add...However, when I type in the Norton Safe Search box up to the search button in Norton Safe Search I can continue to type but I can't see what is being typed because it doesn't allow me to see the trailing end of what I'm typing. This along with the fact that the letters and words don't always automatically advance a space, they group together as I'm typing and I have to stop, provide a space and continue once again. This only happens in Mozilla Firefox, I'm using Firefox 3.6.19. This doesn't happen in the Norton Safe Search Box in Internet Explorer

Maybe another extension that you have installed is causing that problem with that Norton Safe Search add-on.

Class Cast exception when clicking Search Button in Query component

We have to implement the Query component in ADF programmatically.. We are using Toplink as the Model layer for ADF.
We followed the Web User Interface Guide for ADF development, Chapter 12 (Using Query Components) for the same.
We already have implemented the following classes:
1) QueryModel
2) QueryDescriptor
3) AttributeDescriptor
4) ConjuctionCriterion
5) AttributeCriterion etc.
We are able to see the Search panel in UI with selected fields in Basic as well as Advanced mode.
When we click on Search button, we are getting Class Cast exception.

ThanksHi Gary. If the code you want to run is running inside WebLogic, such as in a JSP,
then look for our documentation on our JDBC extension 'getVendorConnection()". It
will get you a direct Oracle connection for their mis-declared UltraSearch
classes (they declare they take java.sql.Connection, but they really demand a
concrete thin driver connection. No other Oracle driver will be given a chance).

Google Advanced Search only displays 10 Results per page in Firefox 3.6.10

In Google Advanced Search, choose any value for Results per page greater than 10 and do a search. When using Firefox 3.6.10, only 10 results are displayed on each page of results. 10 results per page is the Google default, and the Results per page selection apparently has no effect.
This problem also happens in Google Chrome 6.0.472.63.
The Results per page feature of Google Advanced Search is working properly in other browsers, such as Safari 4.1.2 on a PowerPC Mac and IE 7.0.5730.13 and IE 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp3_gdr.100427-1636 on a PC running Windows XP

Google recently made some changes to the Google search site with the addition of Instant search and that made the setting of the number of results in the Google settings to stop working.<br />

If Instant search is enabled on the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] page (link at the top right) then you only get 10 results.<br />
You have to disable instant search and reload the result page and then set the number of results to your preferred choice.<br />
It may not work if you make both changes at the same time.<br />

There is a link directly to the right of the Google search field on the Google results page.<br />
That is a button with a drop down list: Instant is On/Off.<br />
