RPM Financial views u2013 Rollup of Approved elements

We need to build a rollup structure where the financial data from elements is rolled up to the bucket financial view only if the element is approved. We configured this financial view to be rolled up with Bucket/Initiative Rollup Source Filter set as Approved items (IMG: SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM) - Global Customizing - Portfolio-Independent Settings - Define Financial and Capacity Views). With this setting the rollup is not working. For financial views with setting All items and Proposed item it is working.
It is also unclear for me how these Bucket/Initiative Rollup Source Filter values are connected to the status of the item. I can not find any IMG node where they are linked to the statuses or status groups.
We are using SAP RPM 4.5 (CPR Xrpm 450_700: Support package 0009)

Check if you have assigned Status for Item type.
Where you assign status, there is status group.
Im nt very sure but i suppose Status group Active refers to Approved

Are you with 7.x WAD?
This option will be available with that.
Or else,after putting Analysis Item->Properties->General tab->Click "New Data Provider" icon->Select the Type dropdown as "Data Provider of Type Query View".
This will list three radio buttons ""Query View","Query" and "InfoProvider" under "Define Data Provider Type".You can select "Query View" radio button and assign Query View.

Unable to View .mod files in Photoshop Elements 11, can see they are there but no picture, I import them into Premiere and all OK ?

I have hundreds of .mod files which are supported but I am unable to view them on my Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I cant see the picture icons as pictures or see the vision when i select them? I am running the latest Windows 8.1 PC with heaps of Ram and memory. If I import the files into Premiere they play fine?

I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.

Have you tried using Personalization (Ctrl and Right Mouse button) on the UI element ?
Please also see if the Portal options/filter (usually in the top right of the table) provides any options to do this
If not maybe this has to be inherently customized in OADP and/or modified in the MSS JAVA code

Here is a need from some customers. It makes snes to ask for this functionality... It works from one side (requestor side) but not for the other (approver side)... Could this enhancement be implemented in future patches / versions ?

With no view of the remarks coming from the approver, we can miss important information from the approver. .. And to have to open a u201Cdecision report u201C in order to view the remarks that the approver has written, that makes no sense and in addition, Itu2019s time consuming !

Sophie wants to create a sales order, but she needs an approval to do it. So, when pressing the u201CAddu201D button in the Sales order window, the system launches the approval process. She writes in the REMARKS field u201CNeed your approval ASAP pleaseu201D.
Bill will be the approver of the sales order, so he receives the request for document approval in his u201CMessages / Alerts overviewu201D window.

How to view saved photos outside of elements

I am new to Photoshop Elements, so this question may sound rather dumb. When I save my pictures using 'save as' as a JPEG, I cannot view my edited pictures anywhere. I want to print thm off using Shutterfly, but te pictures do not even show up when I try to down load them. When I am looking at them under 'my photos' on my computer, there is a thumb nail for it, but it will not show the picture either. HELP!

You can't view the photos anywhere? What have you tried? (And why do you need to view them somewhere if you can view them in PSE?)
Assuming you are using the Organizer (although you didn't say if you were or not) ... If you want to print via Shutterfly, you could select the desired photos in the PSE Organizer, then do File->Export to a temporary folder that you just created, and upload from there. Once you are done uploading to Shutterfly, you could delete the temporary folder as it serves no further purpose.

Can't view mts videos in Photoshop Elements 9

I've been trying to view mts formatted videos on PSE9 with no luck. They imported fine and I can see thumbnails, but when I click on one to view, it opens a window to start playing the video, but the window just freezes. I'm running the trial version of PSE9 and also installed the trial version of Premire Elements 9 (thinking it may help), but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Since it works on one computer and not on the other,
1 -- what are the Windows operating systems on both these computers ?
2 -- the version of Quicktime on both computers ?
Regarding Quicktime, I have found comments like the following in the Adobe techdoc database
"Applies to video and audio applications, including the Elements Organizer. An outdated or damaged version of Apple QuickTime can prevent the above applications from starting or operating correctly. To update QuickTime, install the current version available on the Apple website..."
3 -- If neither of the above provide a solution, then I think an investigation of the specific video codecs installed on both computers will be the next step. That is more complex so I will start with just one specific question --
For some problems with video files in the Organizer, I have seen Adobe recommendations to
"Uninstall third-party video codec packs".
So my questions is -- do you have any third-party codec packs installed on either computer ?
4 -- Another factor I saw posted as the solution for one person is to update the driver for their video card.
I listed this last because it seems less probable because you said the files play OK in Premiere.

Problem viewing files to open in Elements 12

I have just upgraded from Elements 9 to 12 -- and now it will not open folders or files in the "open" command. I get the typical screen showing "My Pictures" -- but the box below shows nothing. I can view everything in windows explorer, and can open folders and files in Breeze Blower -- but cannot access them in Elements. Needless to say -- that makes the new download useless! How do I fix it?

I never used the organizer function in Elements 9, and in Elements 12 I've tried to just use the "Edit" page. I did go to Organizer and tried the things you suggested, but when I go to Edit, I still cannot open my files. In Edit, I go to OPEN and I see the top box showing the basic files, but the larger box, that is supposed to show the details, is empty. If I close Elements, shut down the computer, and restart everything, sometimes it then works -- mostly not.
A friend suggested that I had a corrupted "DLL" file. Following his suggestions, I first unistalled Elements 9 (which had had the same problem recently), the restarted the computer. He thought perhaps since 9 was still installed, the installation of 12 just used the old DLL file (which he told me means "dynamic link library" -- all of this lingo is foreign to me). elements 12 seemed to work for while, but now it is back to the old problem -- I cannot view files in Edit.
He has suggested that I uninstall E12, then shut down the computer, then reinstall. I might try that, but since my E12 was a download and I had a lot of trouble loading it the first time, I'm a little hesitant. The files are there in my download folder -- so maybe that will work. Any further suggestions are appreciated.

Workspace View having two buttons Approve/Reject

Hi,
My client wants us to change the BPM workspace completely. We have a manager role.
The client wants us to create a view with a column with a certain ID. Based on that ID, the manager would either approve or reject instances in his role.
But the client does not want us to use a BPM Presentation or a JSP to approve or reject the instance. That would be a lot of clicks for the manager i.e. first login and open his workspace, then click on the BPM presentation or JSP and then click on the approve or reject button.
This would be more than 2 clicks for the manager which he does not want to do.
Therefore our client wants us to build an easy way to approve or reject instances. And this easy way is to have these two buttons in the workspace view itself. Based on this one column which contains the ID in the view, the manager would then approve or rejcct the instance.
How can we change the workspace and the views inside the workspace to accomodate this requirement of having two buttons?

Does it have to be two new buttons on the workspace inbox list? You can create interactives that are simple methods. You define two methods or tasks. They're called "optional tasks". They can be used with a screen-flow too, if you want. So you have a manager who may want to drill down into the work item and look at it. They would then open a screen-flow/JSP page and accept or deny the work item. Or they can select one of two optional tasks; accept or deny. You do this directly from the inbox view without going into the screenflow. You can do this by modifying the workspace to add extra buttons or just use the OOB functionality to select one of the two optional tasks. It's not a button, just a drop-down select list that is available in the inbox view.
If you have to go the route of adding buttons to the inbox view, you may be able to do this with the workspace decorator. It'll take some work to figure out how to link the buttons to the optional tasks, but it's possible. I don't have a ready solution for doing this, you'd have to figure that out yourself.

Cannot view RAW pics or update Elements, help please!

Hi, I have a new Panasonic Lumix FZ28 and I just bought and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac. I just returned from vacation where I used my new camera, but when I tried to view my pics, only my jpeg files show up. So, I tried to update Elements which installed normally, but it will not update. It says, "The updater is unable to locate the product to be updated"! What?? It's trying to update the RAW 4.6 update. I don't know what to do.
iPhoto won't upload my RAW pics either. It shows them on the screen, but won't import them. I also tried copying the memory card to my external hard drive, which it did, but it also doesn't show my RAW pics. Why is this so difficult!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is all new to me.

Perhaps true, but no other application I know of will completely manage an accurate transfer of data from one computer to another. Indeed, given the complexity inherent in data transfer a 100% transfer in every respect may well have success odds greater than that of Powerball which, I'm told, would give the ticket purchaser a much better chance of getting struck by lightning twice before receiving a winning number.
In any case, I have learned from participation in other forums that too much information is usually more damaging in the quest for the "magic" logic process that delivers solution. Hence my restriction to information I felt was not only application specific, but relevant.
I thank you in no small amount. There was no way I could have figured out Adobe was leading me on a wild goose chase for the holy grail. Not their fault. A big company with lots of products can't help but miss a few links here and there. Your attention to forum posts and willingness to help has been extremely informative and hugely appreciated. I hope this discussion thread will be of value to others.

I can't view tags on individual pictures in Elements 12 Organizer like I could in earlier versions.

I don't think there has been any change ? Do you have the menu show / details (Ctrl + D) activated ? and is your thumbnail size big enough ?

Read a View Context's node's element and assign from Component controller

Hello Experts,
I'm new to JAVA WD.
Here is my scenario.
I have to use an Adobe form in a WDJ. The input parameters and the output parameters of the DC are defined in a method in the Interface Controller method.
The context of the Component Controller has the following structure
Context
---StartDate
---EndDate
---AbsenceType
Then the mapping between the Component controller and the interface controller is done so that the Interface controller also has the context structure as
Context
---StartDate
---EndDate
---AbsenceType
So now the interface controller and the component controller are bounded correctly.
Now I bind the view also with the Component controller as below.
Context
---StartDate
---EndDate
---AbsenceType
But since i need to use an Adobe interactive form inside this view, the datasource for the form cannot be the root context node but some other node. So I replicated the same structure in the view context so as to make the fields visible in the Adobe form context. Now the context looks as below.
Context
---StartDate
---EndDate
---AbsenceType
---DATA_NODE
-----StartDate
-----EndDate
-----AbsenceType
Now my question is, how do i map the result from the Adobe form into the context of the view??
What code should i write and where should i write to achieve this?
I need to do the following. But dont know how to write the code for this.
Context.StartDate = Context.DATA_NODE.StartDate
Context.EndDate = Context.DATA_NODE.StartDate
Context.AbsenceType= Context.DATA_NODE.AbsenceType
Please help!

I'm stuck with another small issue.
Let me first explain what I'm trying to do.
I have a view with the context structure as follows
Context
---DATA_NODE (Node)
----Data1
----Data2
---Data1
---Data2
All i need to do is, at the start of the view, i need to move the data from
Context.Data1=>Context.DATA_NODE.Data1 and
Context.Data2=>Context.DATA_NODE.Data2
Also, at the View Submit button click, I need to move the data from
Context.DATA_NODE.Data1 => Context.Data1 and
Context.DATA_NODE.Data2 => Context.Data2
(I managed to do this submit button click by calling an action->method and wrote the code as you gave earlier)
wdContext.currentContextElement().setData1(wdContext.currentData_NodeElement().getData1());
wdContext.currentContextElement().setData2(wdContext.currentData_NodeElement().getData2());
But I wrote at wdInit() for the view the code in the reverse way, but the values are not getting passed to the Data_Node and hence its not defaulting with the values from the elements of the context.
This is what I wrote.
wdContext.currentData_NodeElement().setData1(wdContext.currentContextElement().getData1());
wdContext.currentData_NodeElement().setData2(wdContext.currentContextElement().getData2());
Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong here.

Content Viewer for iOS is approved

I've updated the master thread at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/998106?tstart=0. Apple approved the v20 Adobe Content Viewer this morning. It should show up in the app store in the next few hours.
This completes the approval of all viewers for the v20 release.

One folio simply refuses to update and crashes every time. Signed out in order to archive...app crashes upon hitting Archive. Finally able to get rid of it and redownload
Now the redownload is taking forever. Mayhap there's a server problem?
This is just painful.
