RRI - Back to Webreport

Hi experts,
we use 3.5 webtemplates and RRI. We can jump out of a webtemplate in a transaction or ABAP-Report in a WebGUI (R/3). It works fine! But if we want back to the BW-Report, we have to close the browser. If i click on the "Back" or "End"-Button in the WebGUI, i land in rsrr_web. Is closing the browser the only way returning to the BW-Report or is there any customizing i have to do in (R/3).

With a report to report interface, I want to run an ABAP report in R/3. This is no problem. But with the (single) result I want to go back to BW and use this result as variable input for an BW query.
Any idea's if this is possible?

Hi Hans,
isn't it possible for you the extract the data you need to BW? At least just into a ODS? Another option might be (but this needs to be checked) jumping into the next Query in BW. This query needs to have a variable, filled by a user exit. In the user exit do a rfc to your R/3 to get the data you need.
But I think, the whole process will not be very performant.

Hi,
RRI stands for Report to Report Interface. This is set up by maintaining reports as sender and receiver (transaction RSBBS). While running the report then you can jump from sender report to receiver and then back. It is used in many situations, like:
.When we want to link reports created on different InfoProviders
.When the user wants to move froma summary report to a detailed report
. RRI can also be used to link to R/3 transactions.
. This functionality is also available for web reports

How to identifing the parent report from child report in RRI

How can i perform Report to Report Interface (RRI) for this two queries

Go to transaction RSBBS in the BW back end (i.e. via SAP Logon pad).
Add the name of the query based on the MultiProvider in the Sender box.
Click create.
Select Report Type BW BEx Query (default selection).
Enter name of query based on DSO in Receiver Object. Add the description for the query that you want to appear in the Goto menu in BEx Analyzer.
Click apply.
Save.
Done!

Can multiple RRI jump targets co-exist in Web Appl.

I have a Web Appl. with multiple jump targets. When jump to first target, system create a new window for the target report. When I go back to the main report to jump to 2nd jump target. System reuses the same sub report window to display the 2nd jump target report. It means I can have only one target report open. Is there way to work around the problem to have multiple jump target reports open at the same time?

Hi Frank,
You could do a CTRL+N on your sender report for it to open up in a new window, and then do the second RRI jump from here..but this way you will have one extra window for each target report displayed. Does this hapen even if you ALT-TAB back to the sender report?

BI Statistics Query - RRI Issue

Hi Experts,
I have copied a BI Statistics querys and customized it. The RRI Options available for the original query are available for the copied query as well. However, I do not want to keep all of them.
When i checked the T.code RSBBS for the copied query and the original statistics query , it does not show any receivers.Please let me know how I can change the RRI options for the copied query.

This is what we do for a normal RRI,Chnage accordingly as per requirement.
The steps to create RRI
1)Goto T code RSBBS
2)In the Sender Query -give the Query name
3)Press Create tab which is there on the Right Top
4)It will as for a list select the Query name in the Bottom
5)and Press OK.
6)Come back to the main Screen os RSBBS and Select the Receiver Query and click Assignments.
7)Make them objects as Delete.
8)Save and Execute the Query ,Sender Query.
9)Right Click on the Query ,we will find GOTO Tab ,Drill down further
we can view the Second Query.
10)we can view the Second Query through first query

Report - Report Interface (RRI)

Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how the RRI function works with the NW2004s. I have configured this on the back-end using the RSBBS transaction but it does not show up neither in the Analyzer nor on the Web reports/Portal! Does anybody have an idea on how to go about this?

If you're working with a web template, make sure the parameter MENU_RRI is turned on in the entries of the context menu.

If you are rendering a query in the portal, it will be using the standard 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template - it's a good idea to save a copy this template before making any changes in the Web Application Designer.
If the RRI is set up correctly using RSBBS (are you going from query to query, or from query to template, or something else?) the RRI option should appear in the context menu when you execute the query in the BEx Analyzer (Excel add-in).

Help with RRI

I needed some basic steps to implement RRI. I found some resources but they are little complicated for a newcomer to follow.
Any help is appreicated.

RRI : Target query opens in background

Hi all !
I've set up an RRI with a query as a receiver. It works correctly except that when the target query opens, it doesn't remain in foreground. The sender comes back in foreground and I've to go to "Window" menu of Excel to switch back to the receiver.
Is there any customizing to force the receive to remain in foreground ?

Delete RRI assignment

Hi,
I set up some RRI assignments but then deleted some of the queries before updating the RRI. Now I can't open it because queries are missing. I need to delete the assignments so I can get back in there.

How to remove child query link from parent query for RRI

RRI - How to edit the Receiver query

I created a Target for my query (sender). The target or receiver query is also a BeX query in the same system.
Now in my sender query, I have Department in my rows and Employees in the columns. When I double click on Department, it takes me to Target but it does not show the report in the format I want. How do I modify the receiver query?
Also if someone has good knowledge in RRI, it would be really helpful if you can help me out with my query?

Hi Abhishek,
-- Characteristics that are to be filled from the sender query should be defined as free characteristics. A hierarchy node restriction, for example, can also be transferred to free characteristics as a property.
-- Changeable variables for the receiver query are not filled by the RRI.
-- Selections for various InfoObjects are transferred if the InfoObjects have the same reference characteristic.
When the RRI is called, the sender query transfers the following filters to the receiver query:
·        global filters
·        values in the navigation block (dynamic filters including the presentation hierarchy)
·        filters from the restricted key figure selected
·        filters from the drilldown characteristics selected
The system first fills the variables and then fills the navigation block. In order to do this, a unique characteristic assignment must be possible. Selections for various InfoObjects can then be transferred, as long as the InfoObjects reference the same basic characteristic. Hierarchy nodes are triggered in selections and can then be transferred to the respective InfoObjects.

Program window plays back at 100% scale

Latest everything, CC Nvidia drivers.
Playing a clip from the time line and clip is scaled down by 37%, the playback changes to 100% scale. Shows 37% when stopped.
Playing back at 1/2 resolution rather than full fixes it.
Turning off GPU accel in Project settings fixes it.
What am I missing?
Doing the same for me on two different computers with two different Nvidia cards, so doesn't seem to be something specific to one computer.

Just got off a chat with a different support guy. He confirmed exactly what I was experiencing and I could also tell from the Teamviewer session he was obviously repeating the issue to show someone else!. His final comment was since it is ProRes they do not support ProRes on Windows. When I asked if he could report it as a bug, he said he could not since they do not support ProRes. Totally disappointed with their stand on this.
I have attached the transcript of the chat. I can't really attach even a small clip as it is a recording we did for one of our customers so cannot share it. I just would like to see if there is another path into Adobe as it is clear the support guys have clear instructions on how to deal with anything remotely to do with ProRes.

Drill Back capabality..?
