RRI interface (GL / WBS combination)

Dear All,
Is it possible to create a jump target from a BW query to a report in R/3 based on GL account and WBS elements ?
I've managed to create a link for the GL account, but have trouble making the R/3 report return values for the particular GL / WBS combination per the BW query.
We are trialling this on transaction code FBL3N, which has GL account on the front screen, WBS element on the 'additional selections' screen (red, blue, green icon).

Good point, I may be off on this as this is my first time doing this gl journals interface but I am thinking that it is best to do all
validations prior to loading into interface table to stream line that process. If you have many errors when running the journal import process
is it burdensome in trying to get through all the errors? That is you fix one error and then encounter another error vs trapping all errors
in a staging area at once?

HI,
It is an option to jump from one report to another report
When you executes a query , right click on query --> go to option --> here you will have the destination for the report.
Usually the RRI is created between summary and detailed report.Summary report on infocube and detailed report on DSO.
You have a report at customer level. If you defines a report to report you can do right click over a customer, go to another report, and the new report will be filtered by this customer if you have the customer as a free characteristic. To define this you can use tcode RSBBS .

Hi,
Are you running the report from the query or from the workbook? If you have changed the query and are stilll running the same workbook, sometimes these changes do not come through...Close the workbook and try to execute the query again. Does it still happen?

RRI (Report Report Interface) with ABAP Sender program

I need to call a Report Writer report from a bespoke ABAP program. I can call transaction START_REPORT to do this, but I wondered if the Report-Report Interface can be used here.
Has anyone ever programmed a direct call to the RRI interface in ABAP?

   see best example.. genrate one query on master data... and another query on transactiona data..( but make sure that... your transactional query should contain atleast one field that exist in first query)
      for example.. generate one Query on Employee master data...(that contan- EMPNO , ENAME , ADDRESS)
     nad generate second Query   on Employee transactional data ..( that contain..
EMPNO , SAL, BONUS , INCENTIVES , LEAVES ) like this..
now go to RSBBS tcode... and give the first query name.. and in the down give the second query name..save it..
    now go to BEX and execute your first query.. and in that select any EMPLOYEE NUMBER and right click it--> and select second query name.. ..
now you can able to see that particular employee details only..

I have a requirement where i have to Create a RRI in bex Reporting, How can i introduce RRI interface for one query to another. Is BI 7.0 supports RRI ? if so How it will process and works ,What are the settings lieing in sender and Receiver and Assgnment Details. Does Query1 and Query2 has atleast one info object common? what if not.

For example, Suppose you created two cube CUBE A ( which contains Company code , Customer, Revenue) and Cube B (Controlling Area, Region, Price) . so There is no common column.
On cube A you created query QUERYA
On cube B you created query QUERYB
GOTO>>> RSBBS,
sender>>>CUBEA/QUERYA
REPORT TYPE>>>>BW Bex query
Target>>>> Local
receiver report>>> CUBEB/QUERYB
save it.
after you run the query in analyzer
Right click on the repor>>>> goto >>>> QUERYB. it will jump.
But Unlike the other it will just jump from QUERY A TO QUERY B. But its not jumping into the query w.r.to particular charecteristic.I mean for the respective region you can't find the detail information like product, and billing document, customer.For these thing threre should be common charecteristic.

RRI sending restrictions issue in BEx Analyzer - Known SP Issue?

We have two queries linked through an RRI interface that is designed to "send" a restriction of one characteristic when the user right clicks on the cell containing the value they want to see in the second ("Goto") query and selects "Goto" and the second query's name. This interface works fine on my machine with both my ID and the test ID the users are using to test these reports. My machine is on SP8, Patch 1 Revision 1443. However, when the users execute the same query and try the RRI they see the second query with all of the values in that column, not just the one they "selected". They are on SP7, Patch 1 Revision 1352. Is this a known issue with this version of Analyzer? I have been searching around and can't find any documentation saying so, but something "official" from SAP that documents this would be perfect to recommend and upgrade to SP8 to fix this problem.

Are you sure that all the data in cube is affected? I mean also the data loaded in cube before GUI upgrade?
I have a feeling that instead of GUI upgrade something happened to the background user that is extracting the data in source system. E.g. this user master data has changed - in decimal format.
So check the user and check data loaded before/after change of GUI.

Restricted WBS during PO Creation : Department wise WBS to be allowed for PO Creation

Dear SAP PS Members
as per the SAP Standard anyone can choose the account assignment checked WBS for PR/PO Creation, however we are facing issues with this as end user may choose other department WBS out of understanding.which leads to reporting inconsistencies showing wrong picture of cost and assigned values.
is there any way by which we can allow each department to use only their department WBS for Procurement (materials and services).
that means SAP system shall control and avoid any transaction or postings on non relevant WBS's for the respective Department. ( other Dept. WBS)
please provide the ideas or workable logic !

How you are specifying that XXX-XX-X WBS is relevant to ABC department and so on? Are you using any custom field like 'Owner code' etc. to specify it?
Through std. customizing its not possible but through development it can be done as follows:
If you are maintaining department/owner code field n project structure for wbs then use this department-WBS field combination to validate it during PO, you need to maintain 'Department' field as a mandatory field in PO master (check whether it's custom field or std. in PO,i think it would be a custom one).
Once department field appears in PO that validate it from 'department-WBS' combination of project structure (use these fields from table PRPS) and pop-up warning/error message accordingly. You would require stand. user-exit for it in PO search for it in MM forum.
And if, you are not maintaining department/owner code field in WBS master then maintain it in a separate table (WBS->department) and validate in the same way as explained above.

RRI via Command button

Hi all,
I want to put the RRI interface in a Command button you can create in the WAD. It is not clear to me how the functionality works. I have made a sender/receiver assignment via transaction RSBBS. The functionality is now available via the context menu, as ever. But, when I use the command RRI in the command wizard to put the function in a push-button this does not work at all. Can someone explain to me how this function works.

Costing in WBS bom

Hi All,
I am using a WBS bom in project. I do the cost estimate in CKw1 and also activate it in CKW4. Now this new cost has to appear when I do a network costing. I tried changing the valuation variant but somehow it did not help. The system is still taking the old material master price. Do i need an exit to have the new price for this material and WBS combination.
Any help in this reagrds is appreciated. Also would like to know the transaction to delete this costing run.

RRI tarnsport issue

Hi,
We are having 3 reports, out of which two bex reports have RRI reports. The receiver report is a URL. During the transport always it says RRI query elements are not active and all the three reports are not going to quality system.
these 3 reports are based on a multiprovider.
Can you please give your suggestion.

-As SAPBUDDY suggested try to collect all the Queries from Transport Connection (RSA1) and select all the Query Elements from it. Make sure you expand all the collapsed Query elements.
Do not collect any other objects other than the Query elements.
Try this, and if you still get an error saying that some Query element is inactive or version M then it means you are missing some elements to capture in the transport.
Once the Quries are moved then collect the RRI interface directly from RSBBS.

2004s RRI - defaults to web

I have set up some RRI interfaces to jump from a BEx query into SAP. This is now defaulting to the web rather than opening up the GUI.
Does anybody know how to switch this default? Didn't have this problem with 3.5.
