RRM Graphs not working on WCS 6.0?

Hello,
Using IE 6.0, our "Channel Change Reason" graphs do not work since we have upgraded to WCS 6.0
The graphs are located at Monitor > RRM.
Adobe Flash Player 10 is up to date as well.
Any ideas?

I've got an up to date Arch, and interestingly, the following graph does not work in Firefox under Arch but works in Fx under Ubuntu...

when I try to slide the buttons, they won't move. The mouse "pointer" starts to behave as if there is no button once I click on that button (any of the two)...

Well, it does work here using firefox 3.5.3-1 and bin32-acroread 9.2-1 in openbox. I had to allow scripts (I'm using NoScript) for the side, however.

IGS (Business Graphs) not working

I want to create some business graphs in web dynpro java. for this I have configured IGS URL in Visual admin
I went to Server>Services>Configuration Adapter>webdynpro>sap.com>tcwddispwda>PropertySheetdefault.
than i clicked on IGSURL and added the following entry in the custom value field
http://servername.companyname.com:40080/ and I restarted the server, but even now its showing graphic rendering problem, graphs are not coming.
Also when I run this url ( http://server.companyname.com:40080/ ) in webbrowser its showing me SAP IGS is running.
Also, eveything is working fine in Portal Dev server with the above configuration, graphs are coming properly in Dev Portal server , but in Portal QA server graphs are not coming even after the above configuration.
So what could be the problem in Portal Qa server when graphs are coming properly in piortal Dev server with the above configuration.

Web graphs not working

I have just come back to Apache 1 from 2.
But the graphs aren't working. I have to Combined.

Anything alse need doing?

"Web sharing monitoring tools"? For reading the logs? For outage notifications? For security?
The web server used in OS X and OS X Server is Apache. There are all sorts of tools around that can be used monitor Apache. That can involve changing the log file format generated, but that's an easy change.
Web sites such as pingdom or zerigo watchdog can be used, as can ifttt or other such services. A folks have even converted Google Docs into a web site monitor, if you're into creative solutions.
AFAIK, VirtualHostX isn't a monitor, it's a tool that — like the server tools — enables and manages Apache virtual hosting on OS X, whether the integrated Apache or MAMP or such. With OS X Server, the tool manages what Apple calls "Sites". Haven't had much use for that, as Server Admin.app has met most of my requirements there, and directly editing the configuration files has resolved the rest.
I see various different tools named WebMon, so I'm not certain which you're looking at.
Some of the more general monitoring tools include munin and monit, cacti and zabbix. There are many others.
I'd suggest posting a different (new) question for your quest for suggestions here, with some details on what you're monitoring (just web? mail? snmp? other services and protocols?), how much you're willing to implement or maintain yourself (there are brute-force ping scripts around, for instance) and some general idea of your budget.

Graphs not working after upgrade to 11.1.1.6 - MBean Error

I am facing one wierd issue after upgrading from 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6. When I run a report with graph, the result shows some garbage value. None of the graphs work - even the pie chart. When I logged in to EM and looked into the log file, it seems to be an Java Error related to MBean browser configuration and privileges.

this is due to the browser.
we had same issue. below mention step we have taken and the issue is resolved for us.
Clear the browser cache and re-load the page or log in to OBIEE. This will allow the new upgraded version of the javascript file to be loaded.
and check which version of browser are you using.
OBIEE 11.1.1.6 is certified with below mention browser.
Chrome 12+
Internet Explorer 9.x
Firefox 6+

Updated to server 10.7 status graphs not working

updated to server 10.7
in the server app under stats none of the graphs seem to work for processor usage, memory usage or network traffic. Anyone know how to fix this?

So far the only solution I have been able to find has been launching the recovery partition and running disk repair. That will fix the problem until you trigger it again. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I have pinpointed what triggers it on my computer.
Seems to be a flaw in keychain access. When Safari's connection times out due to an expired certificate (common in university networks that require a log in every few hours), the security settings freak out and effectively shut down safari's ability to do anything. The fact that it attacks KeyChain access and iPhoto and more is just a really big system wide glitch. Here's the run down:

Dynamic Height in Graphs does not work properly when the graph is in an list

Help please,
I have an report in SQL Server 2008 (SP1) Reporting Services which uses Dynamic Height to dynamically increase the size of the graph for the data. For a single dataset this works great!
When I place this graph in a list/tablix (to display this graph on each group) things go bad... Only the first graph on every page is resized, all other graphs on the same page are equal in size of the first!
When I place a pagebreak on the lists property all graphs are drawn fine!! But then I will have a page for every question in my data (which can be a lot!)
What is going on here? Please help.

thanks for your reply, but this does not work. The graphs are now all the same size (the size of the first one that is), and on the same page for that matter...
It looks like the renderer calculates the value of the dynamic height only once on a page in stead of each graph. That's a bug in my opinion.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
The inner workings of the report are like this: The data contains anwers from a survey by question, so i have a unknown count of answers with each question; I placed a list on my report with a groupingproperty on the question asked. On this list i place a horizontal bar-graph which must grow in height when it is too small. The dynamic height should be calculated like this =70 + (CountDistinct(AnswerValue.Value)*10) & "pt".
When i place this calculation in a textbox, every item in the group is calculated correctly. Each graph is drawn, but the graphs are sized only to the size of the first graph on the page. When I place a pagebreak after each list-repeat (so i get each question on a seperate page) each graph is drawn correctly! This results however in more than 100 pages with all used for just a few centimeters (think about trees!).
I'm using SQL 2008 / SSRS2008 with SP1 by the way ( without SP1, the behaviour is the same).
Any more suggestions are appreciated.

Hi John,
The reason that you aren't seeing that graph in JDeveloper is that rwservlet
isn't available with the JDeveloper in-process OC4J listener. The OC4J
listener is the minimum requirement. In addition, Reports forces the graph
to be retrieved via the Reports server for security reasons. Ie: you
shouldn't be able to get at graph images simply by knowing their URL. In
the Reports builder environment, security is not the issue so there is a
direct reference to the file.
Now, when you're running from JDeveloper, you need to tell Reports how it
should configure the URL. Reports runs in a secure mode by default to
retrieve the images and, since JDeveloper is calling it as a through a Web
listener, it is responding to a normal request and hence forcing the image
to be retrieved via rwservlet.
To tell Reports to access images directly or through another listener, you
need to alter the %ORACLE_HOME%\reports\conf\rwserver.properties file and
uncomment and change the following line: **
#IMAGEURL=http://<web_server_name>:<port_num>/reports/rwservlet
to
IMAGEURL=C:\Oracle\Oracle9iDS2\reports\cache\

Where <web_server_name> and <port_num> are the values of the in-process
JDeveloper OC4J listener.
You will need to re-start the Reports server. This should generate the
appropriate link to the image when run from JDeveloper.
When you deploy your application through a standard iAS OC4J instance
containing the Reports Servlet, this IMAGEURL entry should again be
commented out. Since the servlet is available in this iAS OC4J instance,
the images will appear when referenced through rwservlet.

When I leave the server parameter attribute out my GraphReport.jsp runs
from JDev9i (using the same server as Reports Builder). The only thing
missing now is the graph after my report. It shows up as a small square
image tag.

I found out the answer to both of my problems.
1) for the missing graph image
In the documentation link below I found a pdf file that gave the details.
In the rwservlet.properties file in the IMAGEURL attribute
the part that was missing is after the port #.
IMAGEURL=http://<host>:<port>/<Workspace>-<Project>-context-root
/servlet/oracle.reports.rwclient.RWClient
2) for the port conflict - switch from the 'ojvm' virtual machine to 'hotspot'
so that the embedded OC4J server is killed when it is terminated.

If the Java Virtula Machine (JVM) is set to ojvm, minimal, or vanilla in Oracle JDevelopers Virtual Machine settings (Project Settings -> Runner -> Virtual Machine), the rwservlet's in-process server is not killed when JDevelopers embedded OC4J server is terminated. As a result, a port conflict occurs the next time that OC4J is started.
To avoid this problem, do one of the following:
Set the JVM to Java Virtual Machine to hotspot.
Disable the in-process server in ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/rwservlet.properties and
use the standalone Reports Server instead.

Zooming out in example "Simple Graph" does not work.

In Measurement Studio, VC++, the feature "Zooming out" does not work. I only can zoom in a graph by drawing a rectangle with the left mouse button.

There isn't a built in "zoom out" functionality with the graph. There are several zoom modes of the graph, but if you want to zoom out, say with a right click or a key press, you would have to implement it yourself as it is not built-in.

WCS Internal TFTP not working

Has anyone ever experienced an internal TFTP on WCS server not working?
I would like to backup the “controller configuration backup” to WCS internal TFTP server, but it always failed.
I used WCS Version 6.0.202.0

Are you running WCS on Linux? If so, do you have the following:
tftp running
netstat -l |grep tftp
udp 0 0 *:tftp *:*
udp port 69 allowed through firewall
add the following line to /etc/sysconfig/iptables:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 69 -j ACCEPT
and restart the iptables service
You should not have the redhat tfp package installed. WCS installs its own. If so, you may want to remove it as it will compete to listen on udp 69. rpm -e tftp-server from a root prompt will get rid of it, or just turn it off with "chkconfig tftp off"
check the tftp log file in
/opt/WCS6.0.202.0/webnms/logs
to what is happening with the WCS installed tftp server
We have been running WCS since 3.x on linux with no issues with tftp backups

My Stocks widget is not working. The graph part works, but not the stock value section.

If it is the Apple provided widget, Yahoo! Finance, there have been a rash of problems lately - see the More Like This box at the top right.
1. If you have any mutual funds loaded, try removing them.
2. Try opening a 2nd copy of the widget. That has worked for me a couple of times.
3. If you have a backup, try restoring the widget. It is normally in the hard drive/Library. It might be in your user folder/Libary also. See below on how to access your user library.
4. Try removing the com.apple.dashboard.plist in your user folder.
You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist. Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dashboard.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Log out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist(s) from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist(s) to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9 do not work with AIR-CT5508-K9 while AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 do

Hello,
we do have a site where we need to deploy AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 and AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9 APs. We have two AIR-CT5508-K9 controllers with SW version                  6.0.188.0.
AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9s work okay, as expected, we do not have any problems with them.
However AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9s do not, there is a problem with establishing CAPWAP tunnel with the controller.The AP is seen on the controller for a while, with 0 time up-time, cannot change any settings on the AP via controller, and after a while it disapears from the controller, apears again and this repeats.
The APs and controllers are connected to the LAN campus.
Controllers via two 1G links configured as Etherchannel to WS-C6506-E VSS switch with s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI1.bin on it.
APs to WS-C3750G-48PS with c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE2.bin on it. 3750 is connected to the C6505 via two 1G links configured as Etherchannel.
Below I copied the log I captured on 1242 and the controller. Highlighted ones are the ones which I think might bring a clue.
I performed some troubleshooting steps.
- As we have some other controllers available over WAN, I tested the 1242 AP with 2100, 4400 and also with the same model AIR-CT5508-K9 with SW version                  6.0.188.0 over WAN and this worked always okay.
- I wanted to be sure that I eliminate any kind of out of sequence packet issue, so I brought down all redundancy L2 links so that the L2 path from the AP to the controller was only through one leg links.
- I also brought the second controller down to eliminate potential issue with having two of them up.
- The AP gets its IP from DHCP configured on the C6506 switch, I am always able to ssh to AP, so the IP connectivity does not seem to be an issue.
- I have more 1242s, all behave in the same way. I also connected them to some other 3750 switches we have in the campus, always the same.
- As this seems to be maybe a kind of ssl issue, I tried to play with controller settings, like enabling Accept... options under Security/AP Policy,but this did not help.
- I also tried to reboot the controller, no improvement.
- The APs came from the factory, so in the beginning everything was factory default in them. They were always able to download the image from the controller in the very initial phase. I still do have some of them untouched, so I can perform any troubleshooting steps with the fresh one.
I can reproduce this, can also send debugging logs if needed.
Any idea on what could be wrong is highly appreciated.

Yes, I seem not to to be 100% perfect as for the list of troubleshooting steps I took.
I had already tried the two commands you mentioned. I tried again, this time with some other 1242, but these do not help.
Yes, I was already thinking that this could be in theory a licensing issue. The controller is bougth with 25 licenses.
In the beginnign I had one 1142 on it and tried to enable 1242s which did not work. Now I have five 1142s on it, as this worked okay, I guess it could not be a licensing issue.
I think that I can see in the log files that the machines communicate to each other, L2 or L3 paths seem to be working okay. I forgot to mention that I am using option 43 on the DHCP server, so the AP clearly finds its way to the controller. What's more both APs and the controllers are in the same VLAN, so they are in the same broadcast domain.
Below is sho ver from the AP. The AP seems to have Certificate type - manufacture installed, so I guess there should not be a problem with the certificate, especially knowing that the AP works with other controllers over WAN.
My guess these messages seen on AP especially "Invalid event 38 & state 3 combination" might tell us what's wrong.

Report navigation not working when accessed through IFrame in mozilla

Hi,
We integrated a OBIEE report in our web application and displaying through IFrame.
We have functionality to navigate and show a report when user clicks on graph.
This is working fine in IE6 but it is not working in Mozilla firefoxv3.x.
And the code snippet looks like below:

Subvi does not work properly when called inside a vi

Hello Every body
thanks for your help. i am using a sub vi for sine signal generation. as a vi it works fine. but when i called this subvi inside another VI it gives some problems. for example timer indicator works properly.it reinitializes as well in the sub vi, but in the main VI it does not work properly. means does not count the time.in the sub vi on the fly i can change the values of frequency and amplitude in real time, but when i use as sub vi, it does not reponse as i change the values in the control arrays.similarly pause and continue works properly in the sub vi, but once again in the main VI, it does not work properly.graph indicator also work properly in the sub vi. but here once again it does not work properly in the main VI.the pause resume indicator also does not blink, when it is continue. in the subvi it blinks very well.generally why the sub vi does not work properly inside the VI?i am sending my VI and sub vis.
any tips would be highly appreciated.

I just want to add some more details to Dan's answer. The subVI is acting exactly like you've coded it. The mistake is in understanding how subVIs work. When you call a subVI (or a function in any other language), you pass some parameters to it, the subVI does it's thing and returns values. the subVI does not accept new parameters from the calling VI until it returns to the caller and the caller runs the subVI again. In your case, you have a subVI with a while loop. You have some front panel control wired to the subVI's stop terminal. When first called, the value is false. So the subVI will keep running until the subVI's stop button becomes true but you cannot change it from main until the subVI finishes and returns so the subVI will never stop. As Dan says, the solution is pass references of front panel controls to the subVI and have the subVI monitor those references for changes and to update references to indicators on Main. You subVI does not need any front panel controls or indicators of it's own.

Shift+F2 not working in SAP GUI for ITS

In my transactional iview (SAP GUI for ITS) , in one of the screens, shift+F2 is not working(Which in turn opens graph for the report) The same is working fine in SAP GUI for html.
How can i make this work?
Also, can i have a document with the comparision of SAP GUI for html & SAP GUI for ITS, specifying its advantages and dis-advantages as well?..
